This is my third shark vacuum. I am impressed by the suction power of this vacuum. However, it is very difficult to push on my longer carpet. I have adjusted the suction power to the lowest setting and still struggle. It also pushes around object that’s aren’t imbedded into the carpet. It won’t pick up cheerios, Barbie shoes, raisins or items of similar size. Because of that I would not recommend it to anyone with children.

Wish I could return it
This is the worst vacuum I have ever owned, starting with almost no sucking power (let alone picking up pet hair) to a ridiculous design – so inconvenient it makes me wonder if anyone actually tried to vacuum a real floor with it before mass producing. Hard to get the wand out, the hose is too short, the handles are positioned inconveniently. I have other Shark vacuums, so I have a comparison base. This one was supposed to be an upgrade but it comes short of the previous, less expensive models. When the vacuum was just delivered, it would not work more than 3-4 minutes and would shut off. We wanted to return it but the technical support convinced us to keep it and sent a new rotor. With the new part, it does not shut off but it does not pick up pretty much anything off the carpet or floor, and it gets even worse if you use the wand (which is a pain to take out). While waiting for the new part, installing it, trying it again, we missed the return window, and now have a useless piece of plastic instead of a vacuum. Disappointed does not describe it.

Pretty disappointing, I bought this because my previous vacuum was also a Shark. It ran well for 9 years and then gave out so I decided to go with another Shark since the last one did fairly well. This Shark is twice as loud, shorter cord and smaller attachments then the last one I had. The furniture attachment is maybe 2-3 inches wide where as my last one was easily double it. I guess shrinkflation also hit vacuums as well. 🙄 Do it annoy me enough to return it? No, but will I buy another Shark or recommend them, also no. I used it today and it seemed to do a decent job cleaning which is the reason it gets half credit.

Retractable brushes for hemp rugs.
I had a small Shark vacuum that was for my RV, sold 5 years ago. Now I live in a slightly larger home, still small. I also have 3 indoor cats. When I first used the Shark NV360 Navigator Lift-Away Deluxe Upright Vacuum I was surprised at how much at fur and dust it picked up! And I when bought fabric and jute rugs, I needed a vacuum without the rotating brushes. This vacuum has rotating brushes that can be retracted and just use the suction. It is not much wider than the previous vacuum, so it fits neatly against the small laundry room wall.

I was so excited to get this vacuum. Arrived late, but it’s ok. Put it together and went to work. Works great on hard floors and it has a wonderful suction power. Maybe that’s the problem; once on a rug, it will not work and consistently sucks up the rug, even when I use the suction release function. I hope my rug is not ruined, because it kept sucking it up and getting stuck, whether on floor or rug setting. it’s a thin rug, but I’ve had no problem with the other Shark vacuum that I need to replace. Now I have to return it and get back to searching. So disappointed it did not work for me.

This vacuum has some great suction. We have a very old vacuum that “does the job” I guess, but this one really makes me feel like I can breath better. I had to dump the vacuumed debris 4 times for about three rooms that are not that messy! I think at this point I’d be really impressed if someone else can top this vacuum. I think the only thing I wish is that this could work well on stairs. Still very happy with this product

Great value for the price
I used my old Shark and went over the same area with my new one. It picked up more dirt that was left behind. I didn’t realize it at the time, but, the light for the brush roller wasn’t on. I still have to figure that out what the problem is. Other than that no problem at all. I recommend this vacuum.

I love my new Shark Vacuum. I have never been a fan of bagless vacuums and didn’t feel they were as good as bagged ones, but this one changed my mind. It is light and easy to maneuver, and I am amazed when I can visibly see the dirt that is picked up each time that I vacuum.

Very powerful, carpets look brand new
I’ve had a Tineco cordless vacuum for 5 years now and it was on its last leg. I needed a powerful vacuum that would suck up all the dog hair that’s imbedded into my carpet and area rugs. I also have a Roomba and it tends to push hair around rather than suck it up. This vacuum is powerful. I put down carpet powder on my carpet about a month ago. I thought I had fully sucked it all up as I couldn’t see it anymore. This vacuum sucked it out of my carpet, and I didn’t even know it was still there. The copious amounts of dog hair, all gone.

WHY WOULD YOU SHORTEN THE CORD?!
Second time buying. Our old one works great, we just used it suck up spilled cat litter and now it’s the basement vacuum. The cord on this one is like 8 feet shorter. Just, why. Never ever a good idea. Otherwise it’s a smooth push, great suction, I love everything but the cord. Have to plug it in every room separately.

This vacuum has so many little features that make vacuuming any space easy as ever. I needed a vacuum that worked well in hard floors and this does great. The suction control is also really nice for vacuuming different kinds of rugs. The pet hair attachment is also really nice for vacuuming furniture. Love it overall.

Not a great option for thicker carpets
I’ll start this by saying that I’m a Shark fan and all of my vacuums are Shark brand. I was so excited to get a new one because my old Shark navigator broke (our fault- it worked great for like 8 years). This particular model works amazingly on our hardwoods and rugs. We just replaced our carpets within the last month and as soon as it went on there it felt like it was completely stuck. I had to push with all my force for it to barely move. It does NOT work well with thicker/longer carpets. I am so bummed to return this.

I have had a Shark vacuum for many years and bought this one for my granddaughter’s home. It assembles easily and works well. I like that you can remove the canister and hose to carry up your stairs or better reach curtain tops, etc. Lots of suction and 2 attachments.

It’s frustrating
I don’t recommend at all!! Vacuuming carpet is an entire workout! It moves so hard, however on regular floors it doesn’t pick dirt up well at all. Not sure if we got a bad one or what happened!?

Quiet, lightweight, and easy to use
Seriously impressed with this vacuum. It’s by far the best I have used. Was shocked by how quiet it was, and it didn’t seem to lose any suction power to compensate. Floors went from covered in cat hair, food crumbs, and whatnot to spotlessly cleab. The vacuum is very intuitive to use and feels snappy when switching from a push vac to using the hose or even emptying the dust cup. Speaking of the dust cup, this cup is actually easy to empty compared to others I have used. I’ve had so many that were impossible because you could only empty it from one end, design flaws that led to clogged corners, etc. Didn’t know it swiveled when I bought it, so that was a nice surprise. Really glides across the carpet. It’s very lightweight, which is a great thing for the stairs. It’s maybe a little too lightweight, because using the hose almost always tips over the vacuum when it’s attached to the wheel base. Thankfully it’s only one quick button press and a lift to make it a portable hand vac, but it did annoy me at first until I committed to detaching it. The only thing I didn’t really care for is a minor gripe and has to do with the hose accessories and the attachment that is supposed to hold them in place. Whereas everything else with the vacuum feels snappy and the parts literally click into place, these just slide onto the neck of the vacuum and always come loose. Even though the accessory holder has a little plastic nub thing to supposedly keep it in place, I still found it coming loose more than I’d like. It would have been nice to see the same snappy-clicky-one button push design philosophy carry over to them as well. It’s not a huge deal because I don’t use them that often to begin with, but it is an annoyance. Overall, very happy with my purchase and hope it will last me a long time.

Favorite vacuum
I had been seeing a lot of reviews of people getting this vacuum after their old Dyson. We had our Dyson for maybe 16 year. We now have a long haired border collie and two indoor cats. Hair and dirt is going to happen in this house. I did not realize how much our Dyson was missing until I used this for the first time. I vacuumed two days before trying this vacuum out. I vacuumed twice and both times the canister was full of just dirt and hair. So happy making this switch!

A vacuum designed for the wee little people
Like me if you are a manly guy and not a professional house husband and don’t walk around with a duster in your hand every day, you will be remiss to find out this vacuum is made for the wee little people of the world. Anyone 6ft and over like me will struggle to both use the vacuum and also the extra small cleaning path it provides due to being made for the wee people of this planet. This will cost you time as it does not cover the square area as well as a real Shark vacuum would. Spend the extra $30 and buy an adult size Shark not this one.

Best vacuum we’ve purchased
This is the most powerful, and most versatile upright vacuum we have ever purchased. The power of the carpet attachment is fantastic- it’s ability to suck dirt out of the carpet is unparalleled. The ability to convert it from a stand up to a handheld vacuum for stairs is a huge plus, and it works perfectly. Absolutely worth the money. A great piece of consumer engineering.

Normally a good vacuum, but not this one
We bought another Shark to replace a similar one we had great success with. This is by far the worst vacuum we have ever had. Instead of picking the heavier dirt up and depositing it into the canister, it shoots it out the back only to have to try again. This is especially true of bits of cat litter that have stuck to the paws and are deposited down the hallway on wood floors. It’s as though the brushes catch it before the suction can take it up and shoots the debris out the back. Very irritating.

Perfect vacuum
I’ve bought this same vacuum before. Then I thought I would try a different brand for my last vacuum, for no reason, and went with a shark. I used the shark for maybe one month and then sold it at a garage sale. I will order this vacuum over and over as needed. It picks up animal hair and anything that is deeply embedded in carpet. The suction power cannot be beat!

I love the shark sweeper. I bought one at a yard sale about 12 years ago for $10. It still worked good but was getting really old so I got a new one. They are just fantastic and easy to use. They have great suctioning power and light weight for using in stairs and in cars. Just a wonderful sweeper all the way around.

Could Be Better In Some Areas
I have had my Lift Away for a couple of months now and while there are some things I like, there are other things that could be better. The good: lightweight, great suction, and it is easy to clean up after using, easy to replace filters and it cleans the carpet well. The not so good: I didn’t think losing 5ft if cord would be a problem, but now I realize it is (at least for me). Also, the hose is short and not very flexible which makes it hard to use the attachments. If you are using it on bare floors or low pile carpet, it is easy to maneuver and you don’t have to adjust the suction. If you have thicker carpet or throw rugs, you have to adjust the suction and it is still somewhat difficult to maneuver. I decided to keep the vacuum for its good qualities, but I think Shark should improve on some things in the future.

Clunky and Cheap
I’ve owned a professional Shark for 12 years, it has been amazing. I’ve replaced several parts and decided to get another, and use that as a backup. I don’t know who designed this, but it’s a fail. The cord is shorter, no lights, the flexible hose is shorter, head is shorter, the tool caddy is way up by the handle and just weird and only holds one tool. When wrapping the cord I knuckle bump the hose to the head every time, and maybe most annoying is emptying the bucket. It’s on serious lockdown and makes me want to toss the whole thing in the trash. Why do I have to open 4 different latches just to dump the debris? Also super hard to push, the brush feature generally makes this better, but not this one. Again, terrible design and I can’t imagine why this has so many good reviews – maybe people have never owned a better one? The star is for suction, that’s all it’s got going for it.
