Bought this back in summer 2021 and it worked great. And then about 2 1/2 years later, it wouldn’t charge any longer. Tried troubleshooting by cleaning the contacts on the base and mop with isopropyl alcohol, nope, tried abrasive brush, nope, replaced the plug, nope. It’s dead. Maybe replace the battery is left? Probably rated it a 4 after purchase and a 1 since this didn’t last very long and apparently inability to charge is not uncommon. More uncommon is it is unrecoverable. My second bad Tineco product (top ranked vacuum based on CR did not vacuum well at all) and I’m done with them. They look good, though.

If you are a parent, pet owner or someone who hates moping – BUY THIS!!! I’m a mom of two under two and I have a Newfoundland. I HATE mopping. I’m a pretty clean person but moping is my absolute least favorite cleaning chore and our entire main level is tile. Not going to lie, I had to scrape some gunk off my floors that had been stuck on for a while but otherwise this mop vac cleaned my floors like it’s never been cleaned before!! I wanted to address some of the complaints I saw in other reviews: 1. Refilling the clean tank – I do usually refill the clean take half way through but, again, my entire main level is tile so it’s a big area. You only need to use one cap full of the cleaner and the rest is water. Two bottles of cleaner come with the product, which is super nice! Someone else made a great point – if you want a bigger tank, get the bigger option. 2. Cleaning the mop vac – yeah, you need to dump the dirty container and clean the parts. You have to do the same for a vacuum and regular mop. This is super easy to clean. You dump the dirty contents into the toilet and rinse the canister. The roller is super easy to remove. Rinse it and let it dry. It takes less than a day to dry but you get two in the box so I just swap my roller daily. If you plan to mop more than once a day, buy more rollers. Then wipe down the space where you took the roller off and clean out any hair (it can get stuck between the roller and the dirty container). Pop everything back in place and boom, clean in two minutes. 3. Charge – I let it charge fully and I haven’t had any issues with it dying mid cleaning. Ultimately this gave me freedom from a chore I hate and made it so I don’t have to worry about dirty floors. My babies can play in the mud and come inside and I know it will be cleaned up in no time. Do yourself a favor and buy a mop vac!

Love this little machine! I rely on honest reviews when purchasing products. That being said I feel it necessary to give feedback to others. First of all it works. As others have stated you will be amazed when you see how dirty the water is when emptying. It is lightweight and very easy to maneuver. When you turn it on and the roller starts moving it’s almost self propelling and just goes. I have back issues and sweeping alone is a chore. This was easier on my back than sweeping and being able to combine the sweeping and mopping total game changer. The suction is great. We have 3 dogs and a cat and it picked up all the hair with no issues. The battery life is decent. We have approximately 1800 sq ft of area that it is used on. After the first deep clean which took a few recharges and quite a few refills, the weekly runs are now much quicker. I am able to get through with 2 or 3 refills and one charge ( about 20 mins). The only slight downfall is having to hold down the mop (water) button while using. Since the majority of our floors I use the mop feature, holding down the button is a bit inconvenient. This may be different on more expensive models. It does make the transition from mopping to vacuuming simple by just releasing the wet button, but inconvenient when the majority of use is mopping. Not a deterrent, just a slight inconvenience. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

As far as the vacuum component goes, it worked pretty good. I had numerous problems with clogging on very small items. When using the mop feature, it would clog often. I don’t believe you can, but you should be able to shut that feature off when necessary. Ended up returning and buying a shark.

This is great but it only worked for a year.
Afer a year and three months- the cleaner started leaking water all over the floor and overheating in spite of being cared for and cleaned after each wash- which is a pain by the way. I am not buying any other Tineco products after this. I have vacumes from other companies that have lasted me years. So if you want an appliance that will work well for a year and you don’t mind cleaning it- Go for it. Bad for the environment IMO!!!!

This product does an amazing job on our new VCP and tile flooring! I use this several times a week and a robot vacuum every night. It’s a perfect system! Floors are spotless with this product. Only wish it had a longer battery life. But I will still give it 5/5 stars!

If I could give it a number less than zero I would. It has Very little suction power and you will end up using a broom after you sweep with this. It does dispense the cleaning fluid but it does not pick up any of the liquid, and I had to go back over the floor with a mop. Very disappointed in this product. I would not recommend it to anyone.

I have Luxury Vinyl Plank and I use this to keep my floors looking good. I only use water and it leaves my floors looking brand new. It is well designed and it is easy to change the cleaning roller. My only wish is that a full charge would last longer as I’m not able to do all of my flooring on a single charge, which is over 1000 square feet.

Self cleaning is a game changer!
The media could not be loaded. We love this machine so much we have two! One at our house and one at our Airbnb for easy cleaning after guests. Vacuum and mop your floors clean in the same amount of time it takes you to vacuum. As a mom of Littles, I know my house will never be 100% clean again but this is easy enough that you can clean and put things back so quickly I do it once or twice a week now! The self-cleaning feature is my favorite it scrubs and vacuums, the rolling scrubber in less than two minutes to get all the dirt hair and debris off of it and is ready to go again. I love it so much I buy them for my friends as gifts! Highly highly highly recommend!

Motor Failure Just Outside of Product Support Window
When we first received this product we LOVED how easy it was to use. The cleaning of the device after use was not our favorite, but we quickly learned that vacuuming ahead of time to pick up larger debris greatly reduced the amount of gunk left after cleaning. That being said, my husband still prefers to use swiffer wet wipes for daily/smaller cleanups, so we only use this device once a month lately (if that). It has been a month or two since the last use, but I had a short amount of time to clean my floors this evening so I pulled it out…. Only to be disappointed that it was not suctioning. After trying to run it says “contact customer service”. After a quick google search it sounds like the motor has died. No biggie, we have only had it two years… except we have had it for two years and 1 1/2 months, making it just outside of product support. Stopped working in 7 months
This was an incredible purchase, so I thought. I loved cleaning my floors weekly and used this religiously every few weeks, making me wish I didn’t have any carpet. It cleans that well. However, after 7 months, it stopped working. The machine literally says “empty dirt water tank and contact customer service.” I have contacted them multiple times but they have provided a response to ship the unit back to them because it may be a motor issue and then stopped responding altogether. Paying $400 for a mop is insane to not have it last at the bare minimum 2 years. I understand that it went viral on TikTok and there’s a lot of love for the mop, but I hope this review helps someone thinking about buying this, just don’t.

Purchase this because it said it had pretty good suction and long battery life however I can’t even go 5 ft without it shutting itself off and then having to restart even after a 48 hour charge tried to contact the company told it was too late to return it Don’t waste your money

Finicky product, after you use it you must self clean. After a few months had to be serviced and now it won’t charge and out of the warranty and they won’t service it because it’s ’too old’

Nearly Perfect
I now can not live without this thing!! I use it on my tiled kitchen floor every night. I’m always shocked by how dirty the water is that I throw out! It REALLY cleans. If I had a laundry sink, with a sink basket, it would be PERFECT. It’s hard to figure out wear to dump dirty water and particles. I have been throwing it down the toilet or in the yard. For this reason I vacuum with my Dyson first. I could see where this item would be a pane for someone who needed to do a large area. My kitchen is 15 x 20 with a large island. Just the right size. Don’t need to refill to get it done. Love it!! A great price too!!

Very happy with this purchase
Even though this unit is the cheapest of all units in the Tineco brand, it works very well. I never used any of the others, but I’m convinced the cleaning power is equal to the expensive ones. Just go for it.

Battery is horrible
I enjoyed this machine, however there is a reason they provide a troubleshoot video. The battery in these machines work until the warranty runs out. Buy American, the quality is better.

This floor cleaner is amazing! Not only does it clean all of my floors well (I have two different types of tile and hardwood) it is so easy to use. The self-clean function is so convenient and honestly, the peace of mind it gives me is unmatched. Update: I’ve had this cleaner for months now and I love it just as much as the day I took it out of the box. You won’t regret buying this!

Battery dies in 1 minute
i have had this item only for a year and within 4 months the battery started having issues where it would die within a minute or few seconds. I have reached out to customer service. I will update the review once i get a solution.

Don’t BUY!!
This thing does not work at all in a dirty house. Not sure what it’s made for, but I spend more time cleaning out the vacuum than cleaning my floor. I have dogs and hard floors, and usually vacuum daily, with any hair or dirt it clogs up and stops running. I have to take it all apart and clean before it will even turn on again. Then does the same thing 2 minutes later. Soooo frustrating.

Life saver
So far the tineco work great. Now I don’t need to vacuum floor first then mop it. I could do all at once It’s good if you mopping light to medium duty stuff. I use it daily to keep 90% of the living area clean. For the edges and corners, you still need use conventional mops or towels

Leaks
I thought for a while that I was doing something wrong but I’ve looked over the manual and tried everything! It leaks and leaves streaks of puddles on the floor. What a waste of money!!

Worth every penny!
Easily my favorite purchase of the year! I hate mopping, but this makes it so painless and quick. I’m surprised at how easily it gets up crap off the floors, and I seriously love this thing. 10/10 would buy again!

Not worth the money!
It worked great the first year and it stopped working. It was under warranty so I called customer support and they had me send it in to fix. They fixed it and it worked great for about 6 months and then it didn’t suction all the water. It left like 90% of the water on the floor. I didn’t want to bother with the hassle of sending it in, so I used a dry mop to pick up water. My warranty expired at 2 years and of course the main hose broke and now it’s no good. For $300, it’s not worth it. My old Hoover Floormate worked better than Tineco and it lasted alot longer for less money.

HOLY GOODNESS THIS VACUUM !!
When I tell you I have never been so excited to vacuum in my life. This thing is so easy, so cool and so sleek. Comes with everything you need to get started. We have a lot of people in our house and the stuff the water tank picks up was nasty 🤢 The only thing is you have to use the tineco cleaner and I have already used a lot of it in my first round of vacuuming. If you keep up on it though I am sure you will use less every other time.

Can’t get near the baseboards
Works well enough, I have very dark hardwood floors and a white dog. So it does make them look MUCH better – I dropped a star because the guard is so thick that it stops me about 3 inches away from my baseboards so I can’t clean up against them. Otherwise, so far so good!

Not worth it
Not worth it, too much work. Does not clean so well. You have to wash it every use. You can only use their products for cleaning plus the cleaning solution tank gets moldy and no way of cleaning it. Nightmare!

Loved it until it died
So it didn’t last a year. When it worked it was amazing! I tried using it today and it started smoking and smelled the whole house up. Very concerning! I would purchase tineco again but after spending $300 and it not lasting a year I’ll need something from the manufacturer.

Dead after 4 months
Have absolutely loved this machine and treated it with care. Cleaned it after every use, always emptied everything and dried well. Only used Tineco cleaning solution. Today during a routine clean, it went into auto clean mode on its own and is now stuck there, leaking water all over the floors. Extremely disappointed, will update here if/when Tineco responds to my complaint filed at their site.

Annoying to clean after because it’s gross haha imagine your regular vacuum dirt mixed with water BUT your floors are so clean after and so easy to use. And fun. And life changing. No need for a broom , vacuum and a mop it’s an all in one dream !

Convenient
This is such a handy dual mop/vacuum. This has made my life easier. Although it gets the job done, it can be challenging if you have pets that sheds. It often clogs up the vacuum which requires emptying the reservoir or cleaning out the hair from the bottom nozzle. At best, this only provides surface level cleaning unless you run the device through the area multiple times. Also depending how it’s attached, it can cause water leakage. It’s an easy fix to make sure there’s a good seal.

Worst expereince ever.
It worked fine, then after a malfunction we called the company, they gave us a step by step to try to fix it. It was a response but did not work. The next day they told us our model was on back order, and we would have to wait 4 months. Not only that. It would be a used model. I argued about this and then today they send us a nasty email saying that the warranty was not 2 years now but only 30 Days. Buy another product.
