I wish it was slightly cheaper, but it’s exactly what I wanted and membership in Amazon Prime eliminates any S&H charges … so if you’re on the fence, I say go for it. I’m 70, I live alone and manage my home myself. This works great for my needs (about 6 rugs/runners, cat hair/cat litter/monster dust bunny control; and surface=premium linoleum throughout). • So I’m a happy girl. Thanks, Sharky. We replaced a five-year-old shark that is identical to this one. I wouldn’t use this as your main vacuum as the suction is not quite like a corded vacuum. But we use this one for quick cleanups around the birdcage and the occasional spills. Shark discontinued, the headlight on the front of the unit which is said because a greatly helped you locate and ensure that you were getting up any debris on the floor. I bought it aftermarket light but it’s not the same.

Broke in less than 6 months
I use this vacuum at most once a week, so not terribly often and it lasted me less than six months. The brush stopped spinning and I spent hours trying to fix / clean the hair from it / clean the filters / watch videos on how to fix and it did not get fixed. I finally called to inquire about the warranty and they tried to charge me for a replacement after I showed them via video the vacuum was clearly broken at no fault of my own. After inquiring further I did get a replacement piece at no cost, however it was a very disheartening process given the fact I bought this in part due to Shark being a reputable brand and turned out to be another disappointment.

Poor Battery Life
I’m very disappointed with how quickly the vacuum battery dies. I got this for my mother-in-law who has a small in-law apartment and is unable to get the whole place done before the battery dies on her. She says it only lasts about 15 minutes. I wish there was a way to make it last longer because other than that issue she really likes it.

Performance declines
I purchased this cordless vacuum in 2022, and it is now January 2024. With a one year warranty, none of the issues I’m experiencing will be covered. This is my second Shark cordless vacuum and I think it’s my last. The last one kept disconnecting itself from the handle while vacuuming, then the battery completely died and would not hold a charge at all. The ion battery is replaceable, but with the other issues I had with it randomly disconnecting from the handle, I chose to purchase a new vacuum. I typically vacuum once or twice a week. Nearly two years later I can say it’s more of a struggle than it’s worth because hair gets wrapped around the beater bar, so I often have to disconnect the bar to clean it. Now that I’ve done that multiple times, the beater bar stops working if I try to use it on area rugs and runners. It works fine on hard floors, although the suction is not great, even though I have cleaned it thoroughly and replaced the sponge filter. I’m lucky to get two rooms worth of vacuuming done before it dies. The frustration is not worth buying another one. I have not tried vacuuming stairs with this model because it is larger than the stairs so it would be wonky to wrangle on stairs. I think reviews are much needed for products after you’ve had them for a year or more. I know we live in a disposable world, but who can afford to keep buying new parts and products every two years? Shame on Shark.

Stays clogged because of poor suction.

Very disappointed in the company
I have been an Amazon customer since 1996 and this is the first time that I can remember writing a negative review. This shark vacuum cleaner died after about eight months of use. But it has a one-year warranty, so we figured we were ok. But it didn’t turn out that way at all, and that’s because Shark is engaging in consumer-unfriendly sales and service practices. I just got off of an almost 30-minute video and audio call during which it was determined by the Shark representative that the machine could not properly be diagnosed because the button that controls separating the nozzle from the main canister was defective and so, the two parts could not be separated. Ok, we said, send us a new vacuum, as per your warranty. Oh no, said the representative I was speaking with; in this case we were offered the “privilege” of paying only 30% of the price for a brand new unit! And that’s not 30% of Amazon’s price; it’s 30% of Shark’s list price ($30 higher). When I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was put on hold for about 10 minutes, then the rep came back and said, “The supervisor is too busy right now to talk to you.” When I suggested that we would be happy to take our vacuum to a local repair shop if they would agree to pay the bill, we were informed that this is against their policies. When I asked the rep to explain why we could not just send the unit back to them and have it replaced (here is the exact language from their printed warranty: “If the appliance is found to be defective, in material or workmanship, EURO-PRO Operating LLC will replace it free of charge.”), she said no, they replace only parts, and they determine which parts to replace through these video calls. The replacement of a whole vacuum is only for machines under the “Rapid Replacement” policy (which I had never heard of). Apparently, that policy is not available for the model we own, despite what it says in the warranty. I understand that things fail. All you can do is rely on the integrity and honesty of the company that made the item to begin with. Very, very disappointed in Shark and we will never buy a Shark product ever again.

Unexpectedly disappointed !!
I have traditionally purchased Shark products. Love the infomercials. So the first thing I didn’t like, right out of the box, was how NOISY this item is. I don’t think I had it for more than 1.5 years. The battery no longer holds a charge and when it did charge briefly, it sounded like a motor sound (I know it is battery operated, but it just would make a big clanky cranky noise then stop – the mechanics ARE the issue. The machine is not clogged – checked thoroughly. Nothing I have done has helped – in the garbage today. It was important for me to write this review for an important reason. Our marketplace is filled with choices, some less costly than others. It really ticks me off when I realize I should have spent a few more dollars for a more superior product. Totally BUMMED I now have to buy another vacuum 🙁

I have a Shiba Inu, that would be the dog seen on the bitcoin , and this breed has a double coat and sheds year round ,copious amounts of hair ( I call it Shiba glitter ) so I just grab my Shark and go after it several times a day .it has so much power for a cordless ! And easy to empty and change filters !! I just can’t say enough great things about this vacuum !! Best buy I’ve had in quite a while !!

I expected this sweeper to be a much better product since it is a Shark. I used it two times. On the third time it had little suction power. Not enough to pick up anything from the carpet. The sweeper was not clogged and the brushes were rotating. Just no suction. I’m very disappointed.

Horrible quality, doesn’t last
It seems like nowadays everything is disposable… Would you like a vacuum cleaner that breaks after a few months? You found it! After just a few months, a bottom part started coming off. The knob that is supposed to hold it in place is a cheap plastic thingy. I figured maybe I can buy a few of them so I I’ll just keep replacing it. Can’t cost too much, right? Wrong! They don’t make that part. You have to get the whole head of the vacuum. Now, they did send it to me for just the shipping, hence the second star. Two more years later, another little plastic thingy breaks, this time on the top part… So the handle/top part keeps sliding off head as you clean. Why is it so difficult to make a vacuum cleaner that lasts? I’m no spring chicken and up until now, every single vacuum cleaner I owned lasted at least a decade! This one started breaking a few months in. 2.5 years and it’s completely useless now.

Great value for price paid. It was nice not lugging that heavy corded vac downstairs and back. Love the small footprint. It allows one to get to small places. Battery charge and suction better than I expected.. I will still use the large corded vac but NOT AS MUCH. Highly recommend.

Runs for maybe 10 whole minutes
I love shark vacuums. I buy them all the time. I’ve had 4 different ones and this one was the worst. It doesn’t have much traction so it doesn’t pick up nearly as much as others. It swivels too much almost like it’s loose. AND it runs for only 10-15 minutes max on a full charge.

I bought one of these after using it strictly on hard wood floors. If you have hardwood, I definitely recommend this vacuum – it’s lightweight, battery length is very reasonable, and it’s easy to maneuver. It is not good on carpet!! I have broken two of these now. The first time, I thought it was because I vacuumed a screw, so I blamed myself when the rotator stopped rotating. After the second one had the same issue, I noticed it was from vacuuming carpet. I liked this vacuum for so many reasons, but it just didn’t work for me.

Short life span of the brush spinner

Roller stopped working
I really liked this vacuum at first but disliked that it doesn’t detach and get into smaller areas. I bought this vacuum about 3 months ago and the roller stopped working. I took everything apart and cleaned it and yet it continues to not work. I’m definitely frustrated and disappointed in this product.

Gets clogged by pet hair.

Nice as an extra
This works fine, especially for a small area. I would think it would be perfect for apartment dwellers. Besure when you charge, you plug in the back cord, and hear it click – then it will charge, and the blue light will flash when it is has a full charged. It won’t do that if its not plugged in all the way on the charging unit.

Does not last
I live in a small apartment, and only need to vacuum once a week. When I first received this, it worked really great! But not even 8-9 months later, the roller brush just completely stops working which makes the vacuum pretty much unable to be used. It definitely isn’t the quality I’m used to from shark, and I’m highly disappointed for the price I paid that this vacuum can’t even last a full year of use when I only vacuum once a week. And yes, I did regular cleanings of the brush, filters, etc… Overall disappointed.

Broke within 6 months
Originally I was thrilled. But within six months the spin brush stopped working. I called the Shark customer service and with an hour of trouble shooting they said there was nothing they could do but I could BUY another one or try to find a replacement part THAT WASNT EVEN BROKEN!!! Essentially they said my vacuum was faulty but they wouldn’t replace it. DO NOT buy this unless you want to be out $100 and a faulty vacuum in your laundry room collecting dust. What a waste.

It’s awesome, and no cords to fuss with!
I used a friend’s at her place, and loved it so much I had to buy one for myself. It picks up as well as my corded shark vacuum, but it fits in smaller spaces due to its size. Lays down flat to clean under furniture, and best of all, no cords to mess with! It is the smaller unit, so of course it has a smaller tank that needs to be emptied more often. I probably would not recommend it for massive carpeted areas.. but that said, I kinda have been using it as such… I saw a review where someone said it wouldn’t pick up her small things, I’m thinking she had a defective unit, because I’ve now used two of them, and I couldn’t ask for better performance. I can’t stress enough how much I love not having a cord.

I take generally good care of my stuff which is why I’m so surprised a shark product failed after 2 1/2 months. The brush barely spins and the motor screeches super loud. I took it apart to clean out some hair and it fixed nothing. The motor is already burnt. We have a small 1000sf apartment with maybe 2 1/2 squares worth of carpet…

It is broken after a year and a half
I loved this product because it is light and easy to use. I primarily use a Roomba and only use this vacuum for spot cleaning. I purchased in Oct of 2022. Now less than a year and a half later the on off button doesn’t work. I found a video on YouTube how to take the whole vacuum apart to fix this issue so I am guessing it is not too uncommon. Unfortunate because I liked this vacuum but to break with as little wear as it has had is unacceptable

It was always subpar on my rugs but I didn’t expect much for the price point. A few months into owning it, the suction completely stopped working so we had it repaired at a local vacuum shop. Fast forward a couple more months, same thing has happened. I’ve owned this less than a year and had to get it repaired more than once. Would not recommend to anyone.

Piece of of junk
Several reviews said the head keeps lifting and you have to push it back down. I still ordered it and i am so sorry. They have even pained a foot print on the top of head so you know were to step on it to bring the head back down. So evidently the manufacturer knew it was a design flaw. It is very annoying as ithappens often. Also which is just as annoying is that the charge doesn’t last. I have owed several cordless over the years and this one does a smaller area compared with any of the others . Worst one i have ever owned. Complete waste of money.

Fast forward a couple more months, same thing has happened. I’ve owned this less than a year and had to get it repaired more than once. Would not recommend to anyone.

The vacuum was supposed to be new. The canister has a big hole in it. What a waste.

Piece of junk
I bought this vacuum twice. Once from Amazon treasure truck when it was on sale so I got it for $100. It lasted 2 years before the head snapped off and no way to piece it back together. I liked the convenience of a small cordless vacuum so I bought a second one this time full price and this one lasted 3 months before the roller would randomly stop turning and the wheels would constantly stick. Save your money this thing is so cheap and not worth the price. I’m so mad about this piece of junk.

Lovely
I waited a few years to buy this one. It’s more than I usually spend on a vacuum. I wish I had bought it sooner. I’ve had it for a month now and it’s wonderful. No more wrestling with a cord while I’m cleaning, just lift it off the charging platform and go! I use it every day now. For reference – my house is around 1200ish square feet, mix of carpet and hard floors, no stairs. This doesn’t have any attachments so I don’t know if it’s designed for use on stairs.

Battery charge not holding
Bought refurbished but after 1st few uses, got sick so it sat on charger about 2 weeks and I only got 1/2 house done. Small house about 1371 sq feet. Disappointed

This product is crap no suction and the wheels fell off they refused to honor replacement.
I purchased the extra warranty and they also refused to honor replacement of the vacuum. Gave me the run around for 3 hours on the phone then refused to stand behind their product and service. Purchase a PrettyCare I have had this vacuum for over a year with NO ISSUES, much better product.

Do not buy!!
Very low suction power. Even on wooden floors, does not pick up debris. Blows to back of vacuum. I’ve only had it for two months.

SPEWS DUST AND DIRT EVERYWHERE
This vacuum worked a few times before it stopped working (yes, I reset it as they suggested) and then began spewing dust and dirt everywhere. Terrible vacuum. Go with another brand.

THE BATTERY LIFE SUCKS
I have had this product for less than a year (Purchased March of 2023)… The battery life was great at first and now it only runs for like 7 minutes. I called them to ask about warranty and they said that the “unit ” was under warranty but not the battery itself… What is the point of buying this vacuum to only have to replace the battery yearly… Which depending on who you buy it from is $35-$50?!?!? Might as well get something solid and sturdy like a Dyson…
