This robot is working great for our family home so far. It has mapped the main floor perfectly. Each day it runs it gets better and better at getting every inch of the room area. We have used it for 1 week daily and each day I am surprised on how much pet hair and dust it picks up. I would recommend this product for this price range. Worth the money.

This works better than our previous robotic vacuum, by a major competitor. It has an accompanying phone app with which you can program it to clean at specific times and days of the week. With the app, it maps out your entire house (one level only), then with the app, you can name rooms on the floor plan. This enables you to use the app to only clean a specific room, or even target a specific area of a room outside of the normal cleaning schedule. There are three downsides I have found. The setup of mapping and creating rooms for the whole house is time consuming, though not particularly difficult once you visually orient what you’re seeing on the floor plan it shows you it’s mapped out. Then, the orange release button on the dust cup is sensitive. In removing it to empty it, be very careful not to bump it before you get to the garage. However, I do love that it goes to its dock, suctions the vacuum’s internal dust and hair contents into the larger upper cup, and then resumes cleaning. It will also go home to recharge and resume cleaning once charged. There is plenty of charge on this, though. And the last downside I’ve found is that you can have only one phone paired to the vacuum. So, I can use the app to run it, but my husband can’t. He has to walk over to the vacuum and push the button. I know, minor inconvenience. But this means that if he makes a mess in only one room, he has to get the machine, take it into that room and push the button. It then will attempt to clean the whole house. I would definitely recommend, and would buy again.

This is the loudest robot vacuum cleaner ever owned. The way it moves around the house it’s like some old beat-up clunker car. I do like that it finds its way home every time to empty the bin. I had an issue with the first one and it took over a month from the moment I dropped it off at the postal store to the day I got my refund. I’ve never had to wait that long for refund from Amazon before.

We named it “Reginald”. We live in a sprawling ranch-style home (no stairs). Reggi can sweep the entire thing. There is literally only two rooms that we keep him out of because the rooms are too complex. One in my wife’s craft room, where there are lots of “bits” on the floor that I don’t want to deal with in this robotic vacuum. We also have 3 cats—two long hair and one short. With the cats and cat fur, the only thing to do is ensure the machine is emptied and cleaned about every 3 days in such a situation. If you don’t have pets, you might go a few weeks or even a month. The only problem we’ve had is that it got tangled up in the Christmas tree skirt. I solved that by creating a temporary no-go-zone where the tree was and then it was fine. On that note—make sure any no-go-zone you have a little bigger than what you’re trying to avoid as the machines ability to locate itself isn’t as precise as you might hope. Give it about 6 inches of leeway so that it avoids whatever you’re trying to keep it clear of. Otherwise, as long as the machine cannot get things jammed up in the beater, you’re golden and the front bumper is more than enough to keep it clear of most obstacles. For example, last night I had a bedspread on the floor that it dealt with quite nicely because the spread was thick enough that it activated the bumper, which steered it clear of the random object (e.g., the bed spread) in the middle of our TV-room floor. Other than these cautionary nuances, this machine is worth every penny. I haven’t had to vacuum by hand for almost a year except once.

Steer clear of this. I will be returning. Bought new during a black friday deal. I live in a single floor home with all carpet and all fo a sudden the vacuum will no longer vacuum. It lost the entire map of the house. Have done factory resets on the device following SHARKS trouble shooting. In app you have the option to remap (re-explore) your home. My unit will not do this, it literally moves off the dock, spins in a circle and returns to the dock. All sensors are clean. Unit does not do a good a job of emptying the dustbin into the holding bin. Will often take mutiple attemps to empty or i have had to manually empty the bin. I would not recommend this unit at this time.

Great at first, Regret setting in
I’ve had this robot for almost a year. I have two cats and a lot of carpet, so I was hoping to reduce the amount of time I spent manually sucking up cat hair. This robot was great for a while. The initial mapping was extremely tedious and the map itself is less than stellar, but that was easy to get over. It swept up a lot of hair out of the carpets and my apartment had never looked better. Ive now begun to regret shelling out so much money on this thing. I absolutely cannot run this robot without an error. It constantly acts like it is stuck, even after meticulously cleaning out the roller. It tells me that the dustbin is not installed, when it is. Most recently, it is getting stuck in the dock when initializing a clean cycle, forcing me to manually pick the device up, place it back in the dock, and re-attempt the clean cycle. This totally defeats the purpose of having a ‘smart’ robot vacuum since it requires non-stop human interference to do the most basic of jobs. I’ve also had to replace the battery since purchase. Shark’s support isn’t necessarily the easiest to use or navigate. All in all, perhaps this device is great for some users, but I sorely regret not saving my money and purchasing a different unit instead.

Worth the money
I bought the shark robot because I have injury in the upper body where it was aggravating the nerve. so since then it has saved me the aggravation is also easy to clean. Also just a tip anybody who has Wi-Fi that has 5G it will not run off of 5G Internet network .You have to use your regular Internet not the 5G. I only found out because when I called, the guy explained it very well to me, so I’m just giving heads up. Otherwise, it is worth the money.

Definitely regret this expensive purchase. You cannot do anything manual with it (like, when it misses dirt, my old Ecovac would allow me to override its pattern and send it back to the spots it missed.) Can’t do that with this Shark. Additionally, it takes forever to “map” your house, and then does a crappy job of it. Once it’s mapped, if you move something (like a dining room chair!) good luck, because unless you re-map your entire house, it will never clean that area again. Then, if you select just one room for “ultraclean,” it still ignores your setting and just goes off into other parts of the house, without finishing the room you requested. Lastly, even on ULTRAclean, this thing does a lousy job of picking up dust and dirt.

This Shark robot replaced our old robot vacuum. The old vacuum did a great job, but without the spinning brush head, it did not clean rugs and carpets well. However this new Shark robot goes up and beyond when it comes to both hardwood and carpet! I personally wish the app was more customizable. The scheduling feature is simple. One time to clean the whole house instead of individualizing rooms to clean at certain times. The no-go zones and mapping of our home has been a big help with cleaning properly and efficiently.

Loving this vacuum so much! Shipped quickly, arrived in new condition! The mapping feature is so cool. Surprising quiet too. I love that I’m able to put it on a schedule and spot clean my home. There is also an app where I can set it to clean in one area of my home at a specific time as well as pause it wherever it is. BUT I think my favorite feature is the self emptying canister. I hate touching dust and other things that might live in my floors. This little guy is a win for sure. Totally worth the money!

Stopped working properly after only 5 months
The suction to empty the robot started failing after only 5 months and was completely useless by month 8. I did everything shark recommended to troubleshoot it. Spoke to a rep today and after showing them live feed of the unit, they said I would need a whole new system. They also informed me that unit is out of stock so I cannot get the replacement for about a month, after they receive my unit back. I was really hoping to get a replacement immediately, but it is what it is. This is my first shark robot vac. I have another robot vac upstairs, which I’ve had for years and have never had any issues with. I will update my review once I get the new unit and see how it performs, but as of now, I cannot recommend this product.

Vacuum is fine – customer service & app SUCK
The vacuum itself was perfectly fine, however, when we downloaded the Shark Clean app (which is necessary for many of the features) and tried to create an account it never would send the verification email. We tried on two different phones with two different email addresses and it never would come through. We contacted customer service, they said they’d call or email back and still haven’t heard from them days later. We called them back and told the customer service rep the issues with the app and the lack of reply, plus our ticket number from the previous call and he just disappeared as if he hung up. So needless to say, we will be returning this product. Beware of all Shark products because their customer service sucks.

This is our 2nd Shark robot vacuum. We had the other 2 years and it is still working and will be the upstairs vacuum now. I had an injury and have been unable walk the past 4 months so, When we found this one on sale, we decided it was worth it to get the upgrade. Living in an old house the thresholds are not level which caused problems for the smaller shark. This Shark has no issues with the thresholds, getting stuck on some rugs. With 2 indoor cats and 1 large dog, who stays inside when we are home, the self emptying is awesome. It is well worth the investment.

Had two iRobots in the past so decided to try this one out. Very different. The APP lacks a lot of features that the iRobots do. The main one is the ability to schedule single room cleanings or even different daily schedules. You schedule the whole house or nothing. Charging is also crazy. It takes about 3 hours to recharge. The unit starts a job, then goes to recharge for 3 hours, then finishes. You can set it to run until it is out of power then consider the job done but then rooms don’t get done unless you run them manually. There is also no way to stop the unit from finishing the job while it is charging.

“Incorrect password” error after one month
I got this as a family present for Christmas this year. Set up was easy and mapping was thorough. However, almost a month to the day, the unit stopped connecting to wifi. When I tried to connect the wifi I would get to the connection stage. The app would confirm connection but the wifi kept flashing on the robot unit and ultimately would give an “incorrect password” error message. The password was not wrong. I tired every fix on the Shark website including deleting the robot, restoring factory settings and starting over. I also tried every other fix I could find on the internet. I checked my wifi router and service. Nothing wrong there. I called customer service and every time I got about a minute into the call and the call dropped. After 5 attempts, I tried to get onto the chat support on the Shark website. I sat on that waiting for an agent for an hour. Given other reviews that indicated this was an unfixable problem, I decided to return the unit, rather than continue being frustrated by a semi sentient appliance. Up until the wifi error, we were delighted with how this robot performed, cleaning up most messes. It did struggle with pine needles in our front rug. But it could crawl around chair legs, etc. The mapping went swimmingly on our second attempt. Despite all of this, without wifi, the unit was inoperable.

2 1/2years later machine has broken. Error #2. Error number 2 is famous on the internet. Everyone eventually gets error number 2 and nothing works to fix it. So far have replaced the battery and all the parts. Have had several very frustrating phone calls with techs who swear it’s the beater bar. Have replaced beater bar 3 times. Now I have to buy a new machine but I’m trying Roomba this time. Also, don’t try to get replacement parts from Shark as they are always out of stock.

We had previously owned a Roomba but after several years it gave out. This Shark looked cool, especially with its self dumping feature — which BTW works well! Nice not to have to empty the device everyday like we did the Roomba. However, unlike the Roomba, the Shark has so many issues it’s beyond annoying. I get alerts almost daily on my phone duirng it’s 6 day-a-week work routine. Stuck here, can’t find it’s way home, etc. It’s been in use 6 months and already one of the side brushes has busted so be sure to order extras. I would go back to Roomba if I could.

This is not a registered Shark product and now doesn’t register in the Shark App.
This worked well for 3 months, it lost connection with the Shark App and now doesn’t connect back and is useless. Very frustrating. Pay more for the real deal. Save yourself the trouble.

Doesn’t get under furniture.
This shark cleaner has a disc onto that doent allow it to get under furniture like beds, sofas, dressers etc. So I have to get out my other shark duo vacumn and finish the job. I might as well just vacumn by hand. I will probably return it. I’m not very happy with this model.

Terrible warranty and performance
I bought this Oct 2022 and by 2023 had to have a replacement unit sent to me because as soon as the robot would bump into anything, it would have an error and stop functioning – same issue that caused the replacement. Shark Warranty said they would send me one replacement then I’m out of luck. Paid $400 to have a vacuum for 6 months. I will not be buying another Shark which is a shame because I normally LOVE their products. Very sad about this.

Gets Stuck On Everything
This has been a big disappointment. We purchased this in late June for a new building we moved into in August. The shark gets stuck on every floor vent throughout the building. In an attempt to prevent it from getting stuck so much, I bought more of the strips that are supposed to repel the shark, and as you can see from the pictures, I’ve tried putting them only in front, one in front and one in back, and even making them extra long and running diagonally. I also added No-Go zones on the app at all the vents, and it still gets stuck! I do not think it has successfully cleaned the entire floor more than a handful of times during the months we’ve had it because it always gets stuck and runs out of battery. I really wish this had worked out as I had had such high hopes. When it does operate, it seems to do a decent job at picking up material from the floor and I do like the self-emptying feature. It just hasn’t successfully run enough times for me to be able to leave an honest review on its cleaning capabilities.

Does a better job than our upright stick vac. And gets under the bed too. Easy setup. Would give 5 Stars if editing the map was more flexible. Everything has to be square or rectangular…no 45 degree angles possible.

Great Vacuum, Setup easy
I bought this because I wanted a vacuum with LiDAR and that is smart. I had and Eufy and that vacuum was less than stellar. I set the shark up in about 10 minutes and it took off and mapped my main floor rooms in about 15 minutes, then I setup the no zones and it was on it’s way. I think it works great, doesn’t get stuck and I love the docking station. This thing rocks, for light cleaning, I think you still need to use a real vacuum for deep cleaning but if you run it every day shouldn’t have to worry about the deep cleaning too often. It’s nice to come downstairs and I am not playing Hide and Seek with my vacuum. It’s where it is supposed to be on the dock charging up. It does its job I check now and then to make sure it’s running on schedule. If you catch this thing on sale like I did at $299 it’s a steal my friends. I hope you purchase this and enjoy Thor as much as I do, oh that’s my Sharks name. 🙂 He puts the hammer down baby.

Does not create map of house and hardly picks up anything
We purchased the vacuum for Black Friday but waited until after the holidays to set it up so the mapping feature would be accurate. At first the vacuum would hardly move away from the dock and then return home. After an hour long phone call with customer service and factory resetting it, it would map the room with the dock but nowhere else. Even when we just hit the clean button, it never goes to every room and hardly picks up anything. Our last robot vacuum was $75 from a restock store and was 10x better than this one.

It refuses to go into the bathroom.
Not a good design. If you want it to go into the bathroom, you have to pick it up and put it in there. Hair gets trapped and you have to take it apart to get it out.

Really disappointed
Let me start by saying I LOVE shark products which is why I chose this vacuum. But this one just doesn’t work well. It doesn’t pick up well and it glitches out at all the time. Its basically unusable. I missed the deadline to return it so I am just out $250. The support page no longer exists. I never write bad reviews, but I am just super disappointed.

Be aware of shark warranty
Bought it as a black Friday gift for wife on Christmas so it sat for a month unopened wrapped under tree.She opened it up n was absolutely in love.Got it unlocked opened and running and it was very loud and sounded like something was wrong.Called amazon and all they can do is refund because they don’t have any available on site.So I called shark directly…After dealing with a few people that I could barely understand I thought everything was good to go..Hung up and received my conformation the new shark robot would be on its way,but wait I have white n silver but replacement is black.That won’t match any of the accessories from my original order,so I called them back and Jonn (floor supervisor) pretty much said I had to deal with it..In small print it says they can replace with equal or upgraded model no matter color..Bull….So now I have to cancel original and find another brand cause they didn’t seem to need my business.I now I won’t get the same black Friday deal as I did on first purchase…

Arrived broken
I purchased this item last summer for my mother because her existing robot vacuum was on its last legs. Had set it aside for her as a Christmas present but when we opened it, there was a distinct rattling sound inside the unit when we took it out of the box. Tried to charge it, but it won’t fit flat on the base so it cannot get a connection to charge. One of the wheels is kind of sunken into the base, which won’t allow it to sit level. I believe the rattling sound was probably a broken piece to that wheel. Unfortunately, by the time we discovered this, we were well pasted the timeframe to request a refund.

Not for Homes with dogs
The media could not be loaded. The reason I bought this vacuum was: Self-Empty, Incredibly Suction, self-cleaning brush roll, perfect for home with pets, None of this is true, I have to clean the rolls, empty the canister because it doesn’t empty her self, the side brushes get stuck with the wheels and it will not work til I push them I was so happy that finally I didn’t have to vacuum my self again but guess if I have to do all what they stated in the description by hand why even have it, unfortunately the video couldn’t download but it does go over the dog hair and doesn’t pick it up just pushes and leaves most of it on my carpet I don’t recommend this vacuum if you have dogs it doesn’t work I’m extremely disappointed because why scam customers if it doesn’t do what they say it does

Handsdown the best home time saver
First of all I don’t want to bad mouth other products, however i have had 2 other cleaning robots and spent more time cleaning hair and emptying these things than i would of done vacuuming myself. I done my home work before I bought this, 3 weeks later i bought a second for upstairs, that’s how pleased I was with it. I have 3 dogs, 2 cats that produce a lot of dander, brush rollers will pick up hair but quickly will clog costing you more time cleaning the machine, Shark’s pick up roller designs are unique and just don’t clog nearly as much, in around 10 uses you may have to do a bit of maintenance and clear some human hair. It works well on carpets, mats, and hardwood floors, my place is spotless!!!. I do have the 60 day hopper on both, I say in my household i have to empty maybe between 10 and 15 days but again given the pets and kinds more than acceptable. It doesnt get stuck also, really frustrating when your robot is programmed to clean you get back to find out its not even gone 5 minutes and stopped as something got tangled in the wheels, it seems this shark machine just combats the same obstacles better, I hardly even have to rescue. I named mine baby shark and Jaws. Recommended for busy households, with a lot of foot-traffic and multiple pets.

Disappointment
After only a month of use seems to be useless. Tried everything to fixt it. Just “my side brush is stuck” loved it while it worked waste of money now.
