I read the reviews and decided to still get the product. Just like the other reviews said this product was noisy which i didn’t mind. It also was a problem connecting to the wifi. I called tech support and got it done. But the 1 problem i had that wasn’t expecting was with the charging. I set it to vacuum every other day but it died after 1 hour of cleaning although it was docked for almost 48 hours. I will pay attention to the charging and return it if that happens again.

I have regrets!
I ordered this in September 2023 because I was desperate for an “helper” with day to day sweeping. However my “helper” quickly became an aggravation and more work to keep it going. I have already stopped using it. It picks up ok for just sand or small debris but pet hair gets caught in the brushes and wheels and the vac stops. You then have to take everything apart daily, which takes longer than if I just sweep the floor myself! I would not recommend for anyone with pets.

Not what I expected it’s good enough
This thing is the loudest robot vac I’ve ever had. It’s insanely loud and very rough on your furniture and walls. The app is lacking and I hate it doesn’t map the areas cleaned. The sensor on top frequently gets hung on stuff. Is is easy to empty, the pickup of pet hair and dirt is ok. Seems like it was better with my generic no name model. I bought two, took a chance on one for my parents too. Wish I had gotten either a different model or brand.

This definitely won’t replace your regular vacuum, but may help extend the time between regular vacuuming. It misses a lot of spots because its path is just random, so I generally have to “touch up”. It als It doesn’t seem to pick up that well, especially on a hard surface (vs carpet). Sometimes it will move its dock and then have trouble docking at the end. I definitely only use it when I’m home and have made sure there are no pet accidents around, and that I’ve picked up all cords, etc. All in all it’s alright. It does a more thorough job than my kids. Since I have it I will keep and continue to use it, but I might not have bought it if I had known more about how well it worked beforehand.

I had a very bad experience with this iRobot. The connectivity is really awful and it doesn’t clean. The iRobot app didn’t connect after trying multiple timed and I gave up at one point. Then I tried to use it manually, it doesn’t pick up even the peanut skin which is too light. Over very bad experience. I chose to return it.

A nice broom will give you better results
After 5 years of having a Neato I purchased the Rumba 694 as a replacement. Big mistake! The Neato has a logical pattern of cleaning and a powerful vacuum. Rumba wanders aimlessly and can’t pick up pet hair from a bare floor. The Rumba will go over the same section of floor repeatedly and never do other sections… NEVER. When I contacted Rumba they said they sympathize with me, this is a common complaint and NO, there was nothing they would do to help me. At least that is what I think he said, it was almost impossible to interpret what he was saying. Yes the Rumba is much cheaper. No its not worth it, stick with Neato. If you can’t afford the Neato, buy a nice broom, you’ll get better results.

I was always skeptical of Rumbas, assuming they were more form than function. But this Rumba is very effective at vacuuming the house. My family loves it. It also easily gets to areas you wouldn’t with a normal vacuum, such as under your bed or in tight corners of packed closets.

Roomba broke so quick in so many ways!
Our roomba got the infamous C510 error which could mean anything. The battery doesn’t seem to charge after a week, the roomba also runs into everything so it is all banged up and dirty after one use. The roomba requires lots of maintenance. Overall, after a few uses our roomba no longer does the following – charges – connects to apps – responds to commands set up with alexa and the app – vacuums or runs, cause it is dead. overall waste of money since it broke within a week of us having it. Works great, one problem of note
I had to return the first one as it screeched loudly when running. Amazon accepted the return and sent a new one that ran quietly. We keep a clean house, but I’m a woodworker and inadvertently bring a lot of wood dust into the house. We sweep nearly every day. The Roomba completely filled its dust bin twice during its first run. Amazing. Now we run it two or three times a week while we’re out or when we’re asleep. If there is one thing to complain about is difficulty getting our WIFI to recognize the unit. If you have a modern WIFI mesh system or dual band WIFI, you’ll pull your hair out trying to synch the unit. (Push the manual start and the Roomba will scoop up your hair.)

I bought this roomba because my first rumba was running perfect. This was never working properly even though it’s more expensive. It would never go back on charge, and now already after a year it will not charge at all

Great starter roomba, not very smart
Pros: Cleans carpet and hardwood great, it even detects large pieces and does a little circle to make sure it gets it. It was able to climb from the floor onto a thick carpet, and over door thresholds. The suction is actually really good, and the little spinning sweeper helps it out with corners and the edges. The run time is about 1.5hrs, and it can get all the big areas of our house, but bedrooms, dining room need a touch up with the actual vacuum. Cons: this thing is the cheapest iRobot branded vacuum, so don’t expect much. It’s not laser guided, ai enhanced like the expensive ones, it has a sensor on top and the front is a big button that gets pressed when it bumps into things. You have to clean up a little bit before you run it, because it gets cought on charging cords, string, paper, basically anything the size of a straw is going to jam it up. It also struggles to find its home, when you end its job, it keeps cleaning until it gets within 5 feet of the base, then docks itself. The pattern is very random, and it just kinda bounces from wall to wall, so it’s not very efficient. Overall it’s a great little machine, it’s definitely cut down the amount of cleaning we have to do, and it’s good if you want to try it out without buying a 900 roomba or a crappy Chinese one

It is a vacuum that really gets the job done well, but software is very unreliable
First, I will say that we love the vacuum results. This thing is a true workhorse. We have it scheduled to run twice a week in two large rooms and are very satisfied with the results. The first few times it ran for close to 90 minutes as it made up for the inadequate job of our push vacuum. Now, with our twice-weekly schedule, it can cover its territory in about 45 minutes and everything looks great. We only run it on carpet so cannot speak to its hard surface ability. BUT – it is not as hands off as expected. The software is very unreliable. We have a schedule set through the phone app, that the iRobot may or may not choose to follow. We have had the vacuum start 2 hours early, 1 hour early, and even start on a non-scheduled day. Don’t know how this happens, but it may have something to do with its wi-fi connection. The vacuum sometimes fails to return before the battery runs down. This doesn’t happen every time so we don’t know what triggers it to continue to run until the battery is drained and what triggers it to return home because the battery is low. At the point that the battery may be drained, the vacuuming chore is essentially complete so it is only a problem that it needs to be retrieved and placed back on its base. The worst, however, is that 2 of the 3 spinning side brush arms have already broken off after just a few uses. The replacement part is $15 and currently out of stock. Time will tell if this is an important enough feature to continue to replace. Overall, we got the unit so that my 92-year old mother does not have to push a vacuum, and she absolutely loves it. It does a very good job as a vacuum and the other features are not deal breakers for us at all.

I am love it
My work has been easy for me nowadays. I set Mr. Robat at 9 Am every Saturday, and whenever I come home, the carpet is clean, and he returns to the charger. He goes on to do his work; even when I am not home, Alex will remind Mr. Robat to do his job. The sweet part is that everywhere is clean and neatly done whenever I come home. The charging station does not work. 49 out of 50 times the charging station wont charge. It very often charges for 10 seconds and then stops charging. Even if you clean the terminals and wiggle the robot. Buy another newer product, do not buy this one

The media could not be loaded. This vac does work. I think it works a bit better on carpet than bare flooring. It has wifi connectivity issues. A quick search shows that this is a common issue with this product. The above is why the product receives a 3.

It cleans but…
It likes to clean us. It tends to go wherever we are standing and run into us. It cleans up dust and saves a few things for later, lol. Its battery life is the biggest issue we have with this iRobot and the others we had to send back. It runs for 35 minutes max. If we run it on its preset of 45 mins, it’d run out of a full charge and we’d have to go find it to bring it back to its dock. It also doesn’t sit on its dock very tightly to charge. We have to help positioning it. Definitely returning.

Great to have have to vacuum
We were torn on getting this one vs one of the higher end models but after reading many reviews, decided on this model. Setup of the unit itself was simple enough as it was basically a plug/play setup with no assembly required. Plug it in and let it go. The setting up of the app for my iPhone was more of a challenge as despite following the directions to a ‘T’, it took multiple attempts (about 45 mins) to get it to connect with my phone. We named ours Ronnie 🙂 and he has been doing a great job going from the hardwood floors in the kitchen and dining room to having no issues heading into the carpeted living room. I would say Ronnie gets about 90% of debris and dog hair throughout the first floor as he bounces around the house before returning himself to his home, charging up for his next bout. He occasionally gets stuck under our dining room table but calls out for help as well as a phone notification. Emptying the debris is simple and overall we are happy with this purchase.

I don’t recommend this item to anyone living in 2024.

Disappointed
The first iRobot I purchased did a great job cleaning. After several weeks, the side spinner quit working. I returned it and ordered another one. My second robot worked really well for several weeks and now it won’t charge. I’ve cleaned it, repositioned it, changed the location of the charger. It won’t even recognize that it is on the charger to charge. So now it is dead. Over the course of a month and a half I’ve had two of these fail on me. The first one was brand new. The second one was a refurbished one. I am highly disappointed to say the least. When they worked, they did a good job. They suck up all kinds of stuff and need the brushes and filters cleaned regularly. Even with that maintenance, I have not had good luck. This one will be going back.

I didn’t know I needed this until I got it!
I thought this was a very unnecessary luxury. Boy was I wrong. Being disabled, this has made cleaning so much easier! This thing sucks up dirt better than my vacuum cleaner. I’m extremely impressed with the quality, battery life and cleaning ability. If you are hesitant, pull the trigger! It’s worth it!

Why did I ever wait? I am Loving having a Roomba. Oh yes, I remember why I Didn’t have one until Now, it was a price. I finally got one I could afford, and I am truly loving it!
