I read the reviews and decided to still get the product. Just like the other reviews said this product was noisy which i didn’t mind. It also was a problem connecting to the wifi. I called tech support and got it done. But the 1 problem i had that wasn’t expecting was with the charging. I set it to vacuum every other day but it died after 1 hour of cleaning although it was docked for almost 48 hours. I will pay attention to the charging and return it if that happens again.

Two dogs, hair and minor dirt filled the bin in just a few minutes. Stopped at stairs, signaled help, restart. Could not find it’s base.

I got it on sale for $150 and it’s a piece of trash. You can actually watch it roll over bits of dust and dirt without picking it up. The little sweeper motor broke and stopped spinning within a month. This would be worth buying if it was $50. Full price is a absolute joke.

This Thing is a Bulldozer!
The Good: Sucks up the pet hair and crumbs fairly well. Good battery. Will often clean for 1.5 hrs across carpet and hardwoods. The Bad: LOUD af – like a leaf blower at 7 am on a Saturday morning loud. This thing is like a tank. It doesn’t just lightly bump into walls, it truely tries to go through them – again and again and again. Sounds like someone is breaking into my house! Also, if there is a remote spot it can get stuck, this vacuum will find it. Also, app is constantly reminding that a bunch of items need to be replaced . . . even after the first month. My experience has been with Eufy vacuums. However, the batteries seem to die within a year on those, so I thought I would give Roomba a try. Roomba is especially brutal, loud, and not very smart.

Help I’m stuck!!!
This Rumba needs babysitting. Gets stuck all the time. Very loud. When you tell it to go home it takes 15 min to go back to station and dock for charging. If you can waist an hour watching it , then buy it. D I nt expect it to vacuum without assist. I don’t like how it doesn’t clean 1 room at a time. It’s all over the place with no reason.

Time saver and great pet hair removal
This is a hard working vacuum and does a decent job at cleaning the hardwood floors. It does however get stuck sometimes when it goes from carpet to wood floors. Overall for the money it is a good choice for helping to keep the floors clean. It is durable and built well and I would recommend it for an entry level robotic vacuum.

For the price tag, I expect something like this to last me three or four years at least. While it still works, it is far from autonomous at this point. It gets caught up on flat, thin carpet. the same carpet it used to work on. I have to monitor it constantly significantly devaluing its purpose to save me time. What prompted this review was after starting it up, it has caught up on open carpet no less than 6 times on the first 20 minutes of operation. I might as well just vacuum manually at this rate.

I previously bought a no name cheaper model of robot vacuum for a trial run. I ended up really liking it and figured I would upgrade. I purchased this model and have been unimpressed. It is really loud when operating. It rarely completes a job or returns to the charging base when the battery is low. And overall the cleaning abilities are significantly less than in comparison to the previous one I was using. Sadly I wouldn’t buy again.

Won’t vacuum my bathroom rug
Main reason I purchased the Roomba 694 was to vacuum hair from bathroom rug. However, the Roomba interprets the black lines in rug (see picture) as drop offs and spins away. Based on the size of the room and the shape of the black lines, it spins in circles and won’t cross over the black. Eventually, it shuts down with a Code 6 error message. From what I read, the only solution is to block off the room, which means the rugs won’t ever be vacuumed. Very very disappointing.

I had a Roomba years ago and always wanted another but couldn’t afford one. Then I noticed that Amazon had refurbished ones. This is great it took a couple of times before it connected to my WiFi there were several options to do that. After for over and hour it went through all downstairs. It was easy to understand the directions. Then only thing is I want to learn if I can set it for less cleaning time. Well worth the money.

It’s Okay
It’s “smarter” than my Shark, but it is very difficult and time consuming to clean the cat hair out the brush and roller. It gets caught in more stringy stuff (than Shark) and in a few short weeks the edge brush has a broken prong. It often dies before finding its dock. Although it does pick up a lot of cat hair, overall, for price and performance, the “dumb” Shark has been better.

I bought this for our basement carpet and have been very disappointed. It does not have the mapping feature so wanders aimlessly around the room, missing parts of the carpet completely. We have had a terrible time keeping it connected to our WiFi even though the router is 5 feet away. We have resorted to manually turning it on when we want it to vacuum and checking it to make sure it makes it back to the charger.

Broke down after first use
Out of the box and it worked well for the first couple of hours and while going home, one of the wheels stuck and it’s been rotating in place since. I tried all the troubleshooting hacks mentioned online. Resetting it seemed tricky as it’s model dependent and unclear if it worked or not. Anyways, put in some time to fix it and ultimately gave up given it broken in its first use.

Can’t connect to dsl wifi 5g
I just bought this. And hoping it works. I put it on the charger and charged it over night and started the process of getting it connected to my phone. It didn’t have the code to scan, so I had to manually install it, and in the process of manually installing it: its asking for my wifi password, so I put it in. Then it said failed to connect, and brought up a code. I put my wifi to 2.4 so it can connect and still the same error. I think i put in 30 minutes of trying to have it connect, and still I got no response. I thought to myself why am I wasting my time on trying to get this to connect to my dsl wifi, when all my other items had no trouble connecting to my 5g wifi. So I packed it up amd sent it back. So just to let you guys know just be aware if you have trouble connecting it to your wifi, send it back and get a new one. Why wast your time in connecting while your other ones connect successfully. Make sure before you purchase a new one that it can connects to a wide range of Wi-Fis other then just the lowest one and you have to change alot to make your others work again.

Great for dog hair!
Got this for my mom who has two Australian shepherds that shed like crazy. She was constantly vacuuming but this machine has now taken that burden off her. This works great on hardwood floors but we have noticed it doesn’t pick up everything when it transitions from hardwood to a rug. No big deal & she still loves the product…makes retired life easier so I’ve heard! You can also hook this up to your phone to run it as needed. 10/10.

What I expected
Overall very good, but sometime the irobot starts before time. I set the time for 9 am daily and most of the time the Irobot will start at 8 sometimes at 10. It is very unredictable.

This vacuum does a great job! And I would recommend if you don’t have a robot vacuum that you get one because as well worth the price the problem with this vacuum is that when it vacuums and goes back to the homebase, it doesn’t always click to place so that it can recharge the next time it’s scheduled. 50% of the time it gets back to the base successfully and 50% of the time it doesn’t. Which means on the day and time it’s scheduled to vacuum it doesn’t because the battery is dead then I have to go up to it manually push the vacuum into place and charge it.

Way too expensive for what it is! It gets caught everywhere even when nothing is on the floor it finds a bump or something to get caught on. I’ll literally sweep a little pile for it and it will not find it. It doesn’t completely pick up the dirt so inevitably I’ll have to sweep still. Get one with mapping!
I thought I was ordering the one with mapping. I figured the phone app would at least allow you to control it. All it does is start and stop it. The vacuum only bounces around and hits things. It doesn’t stay in one spot long enough to clean the whole room. The Eufy was better. Had many more modes.

Was ok- while it lasted
Purchased September 1, 2023. Began using Alice 3 days a week in November and in late December she is no longer working properly. When she was operating, she did a good job of picking up pet hair and so I was well pleased. However, she was constantly getting “stuck on a cliff” where we have a step down to the mud room. I thought the robots learned how to avoid hazards like that? She also often ran out the battery during a job and didn’t redock herself. I always had to find and dock her manually. In December I noticed she wasn’t coming on, and the program said the battery needed to be charged or it couldn’t find the signal. So Alice wasn’t being docked properly. I would wait and see the “charging” signal come on (it only stays on for a second so you have to really watch for it), but apparently once I let go it wasn’t attaching to the battery. I also have had to keep rebooting her. Finally got her to charge and programmed Alice to clean for 30 minutes. Noticed she kept going long after 30 minutes. I wanted her to- for once- dock herself- so I clicked “send home.” The program said Alice was “finishing up” and returning home but she went on and on for at least another hour then finally docked herself. Thought the charging issue was sorted, but realized she didn’t come on yesterday- again. On strike? Taking Christmas day off? It is too late to return. Must say I’m very let down by this potentially great product.

What a time saver!
I’ve been wanting to get one and finally decided to give it a try. Wish I had bought it years ago. GreT time saver especially with working from home, I can clean and get my work done. This sweeper is absolutely a waste of money and their customer service is a joke. First of all the sweeper never completes it’s task without an issue. I get a message that it is “falling off a cliff ” which is my low pile bathroom rug, it stays there all day. I find it at random places in my house just sitting in the middle of the floor dead, it can never find it’s charging station. I tried numerous times to contact customer service by email, I get a response saying they will contact me within two business days but no one has ever tried to contact me. I tried to resolve this issue before leaving a review but no one will contact me. I will NEVER purchase anything else from this company and i will tell everyone i come in contact with how awful this company is.

I got it on sale and it was worth it. It is basic but does a very good job cleaning up. You do need to figure out where it will get stuck and figure out how to avoid those problems as it will do it over and over. But it keeps my place clean and it takes less effort than doing the vacuuming myself.

Doesnt vacuum dark carpets
I bought this 2 months ago and after some trial and error I’ve determined it doesnt vacuum my dark colored carpet because it thinks its a drop off. I contacted Roomba and they confirmed. I feel like this should be a warning or something before you spend money on this thing.

Spend the couple extra bucks for a newer one
I have 2 roombas downstairs & I bought this for upstairs. NEVER makes it back to base to charge. The lines in my carpet give me anxiety 😫 my roomba I brought downstairs makes perfect lines. Always dead somewhere. Doesnt pull up what part of floors was done, and always dies before job has been completed. Dont be cheap. Get a newer version.

Good for dog fur
The media could not be loaded. We have a black lab so basically we have dog fur all the time because she is a shedding machine. We have this running three days a week and it is great at getting all her fur. She might be scared of it, but it helps me not have to vacuum nearly as much as before. Totally worth it!
