For years I have always purchased my vacuum’s based on “price”. For some reason I felt the more expensive vacuum was better quality I I WAS ABSOLUTELY WRONG !!!! – – It took this purchase of the Bissell® CleanView Swivel Vacuum to proved to me price means NOTHING. It is expertly designed – very easy to use – to empty – to clear the hose of blocks. All the parts click into place perfectly. The suction is unbelievably strong and the hose is nice and long so I can reach up to the ceiling with no problems. I THINK BISSELL DESERVES A THUMBS UP FOR THIS ONE !!!!!
I bought this in September 2024, and the drive belt broke in January 2025. Drive belts and filters are not covered under warranty. Given that these are prone to break, you would think the design would facilitate replacement – but no. Rather than a simple system without screws, you have to remove 7 screws to get to the brush area. In my case, dog hair had built up underneath the belt cover and eventually broke the drive belt. In the picture, the lime green plastic cover on the left is where the belt is. Note that you would have to remove the cover screws to clean the brush or even to simply check for dog hair build up. I bet the screws aren’t under warranty either, since stripping them is all too likely. Otherwise, I love how good a job this does pulling up Golden Retriever fur off the carpet. It is a shame none of the product designers considered whether it is simple to maintain.

Short Life Span
I purchased this vacuum in late 2021. As of this week, it no longer works. All troubleshooting failed to correct the loss of suction; furthermore, the vacuum is too cheap to justify a professional repair. I use the vacuum for two small rugs, tile (the vacuum is 90% effective on tile), and a sofa. There is no excuse for such a short-lived product. Finally, the hose does not have good reach. The vacuum does not have good stability. So, if the hose is stretched too far (3′) the vacuum falls over.

This vacuum has so much sucking power that it grab a bathroom throw rug and pulled it away. I never knew that the vacuum I had before this one wasn’t really doing a good job until I used the new vacuum and I got two containers full of rug fibers and dirt the first time I used the vacuum.

3rd time is a charm
Yep you read that right! 3rd times a charm! In 2 years this is the 3rd vacuum I’ve bought. The other 2 (upright and robot) were nice but I needed a vacuum that could keep up with 5 hairy dogs. The other 2 would clog, the filter would clog to easily, the robot would get stuck, and I wouldn’t be able to clean my whole house in one day. I’d have to clean a room or two wash the filters, let them dry, then clean another few rooms and do that process again. It was so frustrating. I used this Bissell vacuum for the first time today. I really wanted to put it to the test, so I cleaned every room in my house (my house is 2800 sqft) and this vacuum kept up the whole time! It was a little weird with the tilting but I got used to that. The turbo attachment is just like a vacuum so it was easy to use and got into the places I couldn’t reach with the regular vacuum and it worked great on the stairs. It has a really long cord so you can move around the room easily. I do wish it came with another hose for cleaning stairs. It was hard to clean the stairs and hold the vacuum but it still did good. It also would have been nice to have a longer attachment to get behind areas you can’t move. If you have multiple dogs that shed a lot this really is the vacuum for you! You will not be disappointed

I have a lab. If anyone owns this magical creature you know they shed….like crazy. We were once visited by an evil witch and she cast us under a spell to buy the Dyson vacuum. That vacuum was cursed and a demon that was useless in the battle of fighting the dog hair that was constantly littering our home like glitter that won’t go away. Enter this new vacuum. The amount of hair it gets is incredible. Our carpet and floors are left spotless. The vacuum is not heavy and super easy to assemble. I could not recommend this product enough.

Decent vacuum for Siberian husky fluff
We have two Siberian huskies. After our last vacuum lost its will to live after a year of vacuuming husky fur, I did my research and bought this one. It’s a good vacuum and has lasted well. A little clunky, can’t vacuum under low tables but has decent attachments for that. It’s a bit heavy to lug up and down stairs – broke the on/off foot pedal doing that. It sticks out and will catch on the edge of a stair if you’re not watching out for it. The cord is an ok length – it’d be better if it was about 6’ longer. The canister is easy to open and filters easy to clean. CON: the canister is easy to wash except for the middle piece – I have to twist & remove it, then take the screws out between the two halves to take it apart & clean it. That’s because fine dust & dander get sucked into the gap between the two pieces where they fit together. Since it’s clear plastic you can’t ignore the grossness. HELLO BISSELL: a rubber seal would be nice. Anyway, it’s 3 years old and still works. The suction is a little weaker but it still gets most of the husky fur. At least I think it does – husky fluff has a magical ability to regenerate on the spot as you are vacuuming so that you never, ever get it all. I’ve actually started buying rugs that are husky-fur colored to save my sanity. But I digress. Bissell. Yay.

I hate this vacuum!
I vacuum EVERY day because I have 2 German Shepherds. This vacuum is a nightmare as far as carpet is concerned. Even on the highest setting, it won’t vacuum my rugs. Also, the hose is waaaaay too short to be useful. I’ve had Sharks in the past but I thought I would try a Bissell. Big mistake. I still use my Shark when I need to clean my car out because the hose is way better. Will return to Shark when this Bissell makes me mad enough. Go Shark!

I’m in love with this vacuum cleaner. I thought my house was clean. But, after trying out my new purchase. Found out the old sweeper just wasn’t cutting it. For a lot longer than I thought. I bought this as I needed a corded vacuum due to my cordless animal dyson just not getting the job done. I have been a dyson lover since I bought my 1st one (corded) 15 years ago and haven’t wanted anything else. Well my cordless dyson wouldn’t get all of the dog hair out of the carpet and of course wasn’t able to vacuum my whole house before the battery died. So I broke down looking for another pet vacuum not wanting to spend the normal $400-$500 for another dyson. I came across this one and after reading the reviews and people on here saying it does way better than their dyson did. Well….. the best purchase I have ever made for a vacuum and it was under $120!!!! My carpet is completely clean, looks brand new, I can no longer see dog hair on it after vacuuming,(I have an English mastiff and a corgi that she’d like crazy) Today my daughter used it in her room and came out and said “MOM, THE CARPET IN MY ROOM FEELS LIKE CARPET IN A NEW HOUSE!!!” If you were on the fence to purchase this, just pull the trigger and do it!

Just wish furniture tool was made with real brushes and not rubber and I was also surprised how heavy it is. Day 1 – LOVE THIS VACUUM!!!
I used the Bissel vacuum immediately and was so shocked at how much dust it captured. I am giving this 5 stars for now since I could not be happier with how clean my house now feels. All the cat hair was gone and the cord was long enough so I could move around from room to room really easily. Each rug resulted in a full vacuum of dust, I will not be using my robot vacuum any more.

works great may need extra belts on hand
Ordered a second of this model to have around as the first one was a great price and has held up for years. The only advice I’d give is to have some extra belts on hand if you have shaggy rugs as they can burn up the belts (can order cheap or pick up a multi pack at your local store). It does great with animal hair and has good suction on the stairs and gets corners great. The new one even came with an extra corner attachment that I’m excited to try out. Happy with the purchase and not spending hundreds and hundreds on a vacuum that works well!

Works great on carpet, but the lowest height setting does not pick up anything on hardwood. I’ve never used such an ineffective vacuum. I missed my window for return because I was out of town, unfortunately.

Not sure how this Vac is so highly rated
When I first got this vac, it picked up a lot of dirt so I thought it was decent considering its pretty inexpensive. However, over time I have come to hate this vacuum. The hose is so short that I have to lean over to suck anything up, which kills my back. I also have to hold the vacuum itself with one hand or it tips over as it is unstable and top heavy. There’s no way to turn off the beater bar. Unlike my other vacuums, the beater keeps going even when the handle is in the upright position while I use the hose attachment. I didnt realize that and it totally destroyed the corner of an area rug. Powerful-Yes, convenient and easy to use-NO.

Great “suck up everything” vacuum!!!
The media could not be loaded. Four-toddlers-approved vacuum! From fine dirt and hair to beads, wrappers (legos 😂). When you have littles you just want to get everything at once! It’s not super loud or heavy. I do spot vacuum with it regularly! It has good suction and it cleans out easy! I do tile floors, low and high pile rugs all with the same great results! The brush is great for getting dried dirt and things off of rugs, has all the tools for cleaning out drawers, couches, cars if you need also! Love the side brushes on the bottom- they actually grab a lot of things in corners and edges! It looks bulky but does a great job along baseboards and tight spaces! It swivels for ease of use too!

Awesome vacuum!!
I was looking for a new vacuum cleaner and needed one that would work on hardwood, rugs AND thick carpet. My expensive Miele wouldn’t work on my thick carpet. In fact I was barely able to push my Miele when I tried to vacuum the thick carpet! It was back breaking. But this Bissell was a dream! Not only did it glide easily over my carpet (it didn’t hurt my back!!) but it picked up dirt like a dream. The swivel makes it so easy to maneuver. There are multiple height settings so it covers hard surfaces all the way up to thick pile carpet! The best part is that you get all of this for an amazing price. Don’t hesitate to order it!! Oh and not having to deal with dirty vacuum bags is an added bonus.

Replaced an old Bissell with this one. It works great. Sucks up way more dirt and dog hair than my older one did. Of course it’s new so it should but it is impressive. Easy to navigate around with the swivel head. It’s weight is not bad but I could see why some people think it’s heavy. It’s not meant to be light weight quickie vacuum. We do the whole house and carrying it up and down stairs is ok. Easy to empty and clean out. It’s not annoying loud to me and quite tolerable for how well it works. I also have a Bissell steam cleaner and that is solid. Have used their vacuums for over 20 years and no complaints.

Okay vacuum (so far), but nothing special
I went from an older Bissel pet vacuum that I really loved to this one, and it was a bit of a downgrade. There were a lot of luxuries on my old vacuum that I took for granted until I got this one, so here are some of the pros and cons that I didn’t think to check on until after I received it: Pros: -The tube part is easily replaceable. My last vacuum, I couldn’t replace the tube, and that resulted in me having to tape it up many times until the vacuum finally died. But this one, you can buy a new tube for, and it’s super easy to replace. (I have only had it a short time, so I do not need anything replaced yet, but I thought that was cool). -It’s really light weight, and pretty easy to maneuver. -It has a suction monitor. -It comes with useful tools. -It seems to work fairly well. -It has a washable filter. Cons: -The cord isn’t very long. Maybe this is just in comparison to my old vacuum, but it feels pretty short. -The tool part is not easy to get on/off while vacuuming. It’s kind of a pain, really. And the extra parts that are stored on the vacuum don’t stay on very well. -It has no lights on the vacuum (I didn’t realize I like this as much as I did until I no longer had it). -The suction isn’t amazing. It’s…fine. But not amazing. -The tool tube is not very long, so the reach is awkward and challenging. Overall, does it suck up stuff? Yes. Are there better, similarly priced vacuums out there? Also yes.

Worth every penny!
This vaccum exceeded all my expectations. It is quiet, lightweight, and efficient. It pulled up so much dirt, debris and dog hair that I literally could not believe my eyes! I thought we needed to shampoo our rugs or get news ones but NO! We needed this vaccum. Machine works great, has great vacuum power but the brushes keep spinning while using the hand mode. My carpet almost tore, glad I read comments regarding it. Now I ensure it’s on a flat surface before using the hand held devices. Wish the brushes stoped rotation when using the hand heals portion.

My stick vacuum obviously was not doing ANYTHING!
The media could not be loaded. I got this vacuum because my mom had one and she has two cats and the hair was everywhere. I bought one of those rake things and it just didn’t do the job on her carpet so I got her one of these vacuums and I did just one corner of her carpet and it brought up so much here. It was so disgusting. Being that I also have two cats and only one rug. I thought it was over, tilted by this Vacuum came out of her vacuum and oh boy, you can see on the video how much dirt and hair came out of this rug. The rug is probably about 5 feet x 9 feet. Its low pile, how did this much dirt and hair hide in it!? SO GROSS. If You have carpet and pets get this vacuum!

This is an amazing vacuum. I have been using it religiously for over a year. It remains to have incredible suction to this day with very low maintenance on my part. I have several hairy pets and this has been a life saver with my upstairs carpet. The hair doesn’t get trapped and knotted on the rotating potion of the vacuum. I just wish it had an automatic retractable cord!

Only 3 stars because the hose is too short it really hinders cleaning with attachments. But the attachments and the vacuum itself 5 stars suction power! The attachments designs are great they truly do pull up hair. They even pull up embedded cat hairs on the couch and bottom of the curtains. The attachments are truly impressive. The vacuum itself has amazing suction power as well. The swivel can get slightly annoying when your trying to manage the cord. I saw in reviews people stating the vacuum is heavy, it’s not. It’s actually quite light but the suction power has a rea grip to it thus making the vacuum seem somewhat heavy to push. This vacuum is the shortest id had. I’m 5′ 6″ but it works for me, if it were any shorter I’d consider a taller model for myself. The handy is large and easy to grip. The canister opens effortlessly, not at all awkward to manipulate while emptying it out. Cleaning the canister is very simple. Just one thing though bissel aside from the hose length issue. Why not put a storage attachment on your vacuums for the triangular pet hair attachment? Now back to the hose length (SMH) it’s flat out just too short to effectively clean with an attachment. With this model I have to take my curtains down just to vacuum them. Even after removing my couch cushions to vacuum I can barely reach into to depth of the couch before the vacuum tumbes over from stretching the short hose. I truly wanted to give this model a 5 star review but the hose length is enough to knock it down to 3 stars an consider returning it for another brand with a sufficient length hose. Bissel when you listen to your consumers and get double length on that hose with easier stretch, send me one to replace this one.

SO IMPRESSIVE
I got this vacuum for my boyfriend who has 2 cats that shed like no other. Prior, he had a tiny bissell that did not have a lot of suction and did not hold much dirt/fur. We just tried out this one last night and were blown away!! This vacuum is powerful, and is perfect for anyone with pets that shed!! My only complaint would be how heavy it is, but I can look past that because of how impressive the vacuum is. 5 stars all around 🙂

This is a decent machine for the price. I’ve bought three or four of them in the past 6 or so years. They work okay, but eventually get clogged in a way that’s unfixable for someone of my very limited skills – the hair wrap roll works too well in that regard.
