For years I have always purchased my vacuum’s based on “price”. For some reason I felt the more expensive vacuum was better quality I I WAS ABSOLUTELY WRONG !!!! – – It took this purchase of the Bissell® CleanView Swivel Vacuum to proved to me price means NOTHING. It is expertly designed – very easy to use – to empty – to clear the hose of blocks. All the parts click into place perfectly. The suction is unbelievably strong and the hose is nice and long so I can reach up to the ceiling with no problems. I THINK BISSELL DESERVES A THUMBS UP FOR THIS ONE !!!!!
I bought this in September 2024, and the drive belt broke in January 2025. Drive belts and filters are not covered under warranty. Given that these are prone to break, you would think the design would facilitate replacement – but no. Rather than a simple system without screws, you have to remove 7 screws to get to the brush area. In my case, dog hair had built up underneath the belt cover and eventually broke the drive belt. In the picture, the lime green plastic cover on the left is where the belt is. Note that you would have to remove the cover screws to clean the brush or even to simply check for dog hair build up. I bet the screws aren’t under warranty either, since stripping them is all too likely. Otherwise, I love how good a job this does pulling up Golden Retriever fur off the carpet. It is a shame none of the product designers considered whether it is simple to maintain.

Very Good Suction and great on Carpet
Overall, 4 out of 5 Stars. It has great suction and the roller bar works super on carpet. Dust bin is easy to disconnect and empty. The unit is heavier than I expected and biggest nit is that it is a pain to clean the roller. Have a lot of loose hair to vacuum and the best way to clean the roller is to get your screwdriver and take it off the vacuum head. A ‘quick disconnect’ method would help a great deal. If you don’t have hair – human or pet, it won’t be an issue.

Better than my Dyson!
First, no I wasn’t paid for this review! I purchased a Dyson for 400.00+ on sale late last year. Doesn’t even compare to this vacuum!! (I’m tossing that hunk of crap!) Yes, it’s bigger and yes it’s a tiny bit more heavy than a Dyson, but the suction is WAY WAY BETTER!! I LOVE that it’s corded. My Dyson couldn’t even do my downstairs without having to recharge it. The canister is way bigger on this and takes up way more dirt before having to empty! Easy to assemble, easy to maneuver. First vacuum I’ve had that picks up things like a piece of dry dog food off the hard floor and doesn’t just send it flying! Plus, I can’t get over how well it does on carpet!! Also, I noticed that some reviewers here said it was loud and smelled. I had neither of those problems! Literally the cheapest and best vacuum I’ve ever owned! So very HAPPY and SURPRISED with this vacuum!!

I bought this recently. It is lightweight and moves around easily. It picks up very well. I have frequent pet hair and it picks that up well. The price was very reasonable. My only concern is that it is mainly plastic and I’m worried that pieces may break off. I enjoy the ease of use and the power it has.

Three dogs and one cat
I purchased this vacuum after another review said it was good for long-haired cats, so I figured it would be good for short-haired dogs too, and I couldn’t be happier! This was just from one room that our pets frequent often and I was literally stunned with what it pulled out of the rug! I’m amazed that it pulled the long cat hair off the carpet so easier too, looks like no more carpet raking for me!

Easy to guide around the furniture
I really like the way I can guide it around without having to lift it up to change the direction. Just a little turn of the handle! It has a strong suction. But to use the accessories you need to disconnect the hose and then connect it to the accessory the hose is too short to be useful. All in all it is one that I like!

Rated #1 Bissell Vacuum for a reason
This vacuum has a wonderful performance. Picked up so much dust/debris on the first swipe. Has different height adjustments for different cleanings. Very easy to put together, only need to screw in about 2 screws. Has instructions on how to clean it and has videos available for you to watch. Longer hairs do get wrapped around the brush, but that is normal. I am very happy about this purchase, it is a great price for the vacuum.

Nothing budget about this bad boy!
We’ve owned Dyson’s for 10 years, but when the latest one failed, we didn’t have the budget for another. Let me tell you, this Bissell is every bit as good as a Dyson, for a fraction of the cost. We have 5 cats, hardwood, tile and carpet, and this thing breezes across all surfaces with ease (and a click of the adjuster). My only “complaint” is thing sucks up so much pet hair, that I have to empty the canister more, but that’s just how well it works over our older Dyson.. It’s lightweight, easy to manouver and very able to suck up everything. Stairs are a slight issue because the hose isn’t the longest, but it’s so easy to carry up that I can live with that. The power cord is also a little annoying at the base, requiring it to be hand held out of the way, but again a tiny tradeoff for the value of this machine and the cleaning power. 100% recommend.

! I’ve been using D—- vacuums for a decade. I thought vacuuming was just a terrible chore that was always going to be difficult. I thought I was using the best technology, and that anything cheaper would be worse. Last week I vacuumed with my $800 D—- before shampooing my rugs with the little $90 Hoover shampoo unit I got on sale during prime days. When I went to shampoo, the Hoover was pulling up huge clumps of dog hair out of my rug, immediately after I had vacuumed it! I knew my technique was not the problem, so I thought… could it be… this $800 vacuum… sucks? So I bought this little Bissell unit to try. LIFE-CHANGING EXPERIENCE. This unit is light and easy to maneuver. The suction is amazing and adjustable. The brushes pull all the hair, mine and the dog’s, right up. The canister is so, so easy to empty. It’s not as loud as the other one, the dog is less scared of it. It holds a couple of attachments on the body of the unit so that they’re right there when you need them. I can’t believe I’ve spent the last 10 years dreading vacuuming and spending obscene amounts of money on tech that I thought would make it as painless as possible. This Bissell… I vacuumed, and it was kinda fun. I may vacuum more often. I might offer to vacuum my neighbors’ homes. I might offer my services to Bissell as an unpaid spokeswoman. I might offer my heart to Bissell, and my hand in marriage. I would probably lay down my life to save this vacuum cleaner from harm. My god, I’m only 43, I have so much life left to live now that I’m not shackled to that demonic British vacuum demon. I will have the cleanest rugs in all the land!

Fell apart in a month

GREAT PRODUCT
Strong, easy to empty, and quality is spot on. Only problem I’m having is the hose to the handheld vacuum. When not in use the hole to the hose is inserted to the other side of the vacuum that also has a hole. When in use, the side of the vacuum with the hole is exposed and dust flies out. There is nothing to cover the hole to keep this from happening, unless I’m not doing something right.

Good vacuum
I’ve had a lot of vacuums over my lifetime….mostly high end/expensive ones; however, I just didn’t want to spend a lot this time. This vacuum was a great price! It really does a good job at picking everything up; no complaints on its sucking power. There are a few annoying things but nothing crazy. A headlight would be a nice feature. I’ve never had a vacuum that didn’t have a light and I guess I didn’t realize how much I liked having that. Another thing, is that the cord is placed low and in the back of the vacuum. The cord gets in the way a lot. I have to physically hold the cord while vacuuming to keep from running over it. The last two things is that you have to bend down to adjust the height; not great. Then even at the highest setting, it does not vacuum thick rugs. The things that I have found I don’t care for in this vacuum, are things I really liked having in the past. It’s still a really good value for what you get.

The media could not be loaded. We’ve had this vacuum for a year. It worked well for a while, but slowly got weaker and weaker. Now it literally blows things around and has no suction at all! We have gotten a new vacuum every year for the past several years and can’t seem to find one that will last!

After 4 months the belt broke. Lack of quality
One would expect a brand new vacuum cleaner to operate for at least one year before any problems? Is that unreasonable? Now I have to take apart the machine….. and figure out how to replace the belt. The service representative had to follow her instructions. Only send a belt! Would not give me, or allow me to speak to her boss. This purchase came under “my tough luck!” My next vacuum cleaner will not be a Bissel!

I was late becoming a Bissell customer since I only purchased my first one about 7 years ago. I have originally purchased a VERY cheap but descent vacuum with fantastic reviews. It worked well for over 7 years, with the only con being it was VERY loud! It finally stopped working, and instead of replacing belts, or deep cleaning it, it was time for a NEWER upgrade. I had purchased a cordless about 6 years ago, along with the best shampoo, steam mop, I had ever owned. This turned me into a BISSELL customer for life! Incidentally, that cordless is STILL going strong at almost 7 years, and it’s my go to for ALL mess on the floor, the furniture, my bed, my furniture! So, I bought the updated version of the cordless, and it’s even BETTER! Leaving me with this purchase for vacuuming my carpets, wood floors and rugs. I research EVERYTHING! This vacuum is a STAND out at over 70k reviews and a 4.6 rating overall! I reviewed ALL the videos and these helped me decide on this FANTASTIC purchase! I unpacked carefully without instructions in about 5 minutes without issue. It has EVERY tool for attachments and all but the corner attachment stay on board. The electric cord is plenty long to meet all the needs of my 2 BR apartment without having to replug elsewhere. GREAT time saving feature! The suction is VERY powerful! I accidentally underestimated its power and reach, and it grabbed some crochet attached to a ball of yarn……….oops! My mistake! I will NOT underestimate this baby again! I am a kinda clean freak, and believed my floors were very clean!! 😮. By the time I had finished my master bedroom, the bagless container was COMPLETELY full of my Gabriel’s (11 pound Pugzu) hair and more dust than is believable! It has 2 HEPA filters included, and for people with allergies, this vacuum gets an A++. It went straight from my high pile carpet to my wood floors, without a hitch or changing the settings! I completed by doing a deep clean on my living room furniture, to see how much I could get out after emptying the container into the trash with one click of a button! Once again, the bag was half full of doggie hair and dust! So, I am giving this Bissell a 5 star review, which is rare for this clean freak! It can easily do the job of vacuums costing 5 times the amount! Look no further than this well made, easy to use little sucker!

shotty quality control
arrived 7/16. had my carpets steam cleaned the next day. use my vacuum for the first time on 7/23. smelled like burning rubber. went to the website and ran through their problem-solving tips. still smelled like burning rubber. took it to a shop they recommended on the website. they had to replace the belt. which is not covered under the warranty. the vacuum was one week old and I had to replace the belt and pay out of pocket. i will never buy another bissell product again

Fantastic vacuum
This is the first vacuum that I can honestly say does a fantastic job cleaning hardwood flooring, plus carpeting. In the past I’ve tried Dyson..hated it! Usually, I can’t find a vacuum that could do both types of flooring without having to spend a fortune. Well, my search is over!!!!
