I had been eyeing this machine for years after seeing it on social media. I couldn’t pull the trigger because it is expensive and the reviews were a bit mixed. When I saw it for sale with a steep discount during Prime day, I finally committed and I am so glad I did. I am a busy mom of 4 who just doesn’t have time to mop everyday (or week unfortunately). We have tile in the kitchen and hardwood floors where we eat. The kitchen tiles were NEVER clean. I sometimes steamed them twice in a row and then used a regular mop and the floors still didn’t pass the “paper towel” test. Enter Tineco. As soon as I charged it for the first time I did my tiled floors. I did 2 rounds just because I wanted to give the machine a fair shot on floors that never seemed to get clean. Oh my gosh, for the first time EVER there was no residue on a paper towel when I wiped the floor. None whatsoever. I’ve seen complaints about the battery but I have a 3600 sq ft house. I bought the combo (more in that later) which I think has a shorter battery life than the regular Tineco — I can still do my whole first floor before the battery even gets to 30%. I did my entire kitchen, eat in area, living room, dining room, and the first floor bathroom tonight and it was at 40%. I did have to clean the dirty water tank once and add fresh water but I don’t mind. I bought the combo — I wish I would have bought just the regular one. I have yet to use the hand vac and I honestly don’t think I ever will. I can just use our regular vacuum if I need to get into tight crevices. That is my only regret with this machine. Cleaning is a breeze. I had an issue the first time running the self clean — it kept telling me to clean the dirty water tank even though it was clean. I ended up just manually starting the self clean function and it worked like a charm. This machine saves me so much time and now my floors are clean. It takes not even 5 minutes to clean the machine when I’m done (wash the dirty water tank, the roller, wipe down the machine, etc) and that’s because I really want to take care of the machine. You probably don’t need to be as diligent as I am. I did notice it leaves slight streaking on my darker hardwood floors (nothing on my light hardwood). It is minimal and doesnt bother me whatsoever. All in all, I love this machine and so far I don’t regret this purchase whatsoever. I hope this review helps someone who may be contemplating!
I bought the machine three months ago. It is not working correctly. You have to put it on the charger to start the machine. I called the company they had me ship the machine back for repair receive the machine back with the same issue now they want to send me a refurbished machine! After spending almost $500 on a new machine, I have to except a refurbished machine. And they threaten you if you put a negative review.

Battery ISSUES!!
The media could not be loaded. I purchased this vacuum 1 1/2 years ago. I have used it 3 times a month on average and I have wood floors. Overall it does the job, there are still stains that will require good old fashioned scrubbing but in general it’s cleans the floors. I have actually recommended it to many people. The reason for the 3 stars is that over time the battery will stop charging. My vacuum currently cannot charge more than 16% (good for a 10 min run). Tineco is happy to fix it but you have to ship the entire thing back to them! This was a $20+ adventure to the fed ex store to purchase a box it fits in. While at the fed ex store (Tinecos prepaid label) the fed ex staff commented that they ship back 2-3 of these vacuums a week! That seems a bit alarming and quite honestly VERY inconvenient to lug it around and ship it back. The other issue to be aware of is that you need to charge it continuously and you need to empty the tank and dry out the components after use. If you’re tight on space this could present an issue.

I have 3 dogs and 5 cats that make a mess with all the hair, dirt, and slobber they track all over my wood floors! I have had the expensive steam mops and the swiffters, but they will never again be used by me. This thing is a game changer! I bought it black Friday. Opened the box last night when I came home from work and have mopped my entire house 3 times with it since (although it didn’t really need it). Its beyond easy to use, it works like a charm getting EVERYTING off of my floors, and leaves no streaks! It’s so quiet and such a simple design, I didn’t think it would work like it does, but I’m sold! It’s very easy to clean and makes less mess than my steam mop did. It’s light, pushes itself, and I’m not tied to a plug, because it’s cordless. It comes with an extra filter and roller brush, and it all stores conviently all together. My only complaint is it looks like there is alot of water on the floor as I clean, but it seriously dries quickly and again- without streaks. I don’t lie to write reviews, but I’m quick to read them and base my decisions on them, so I figured I would share and help someone else make a decision. Enjoy!

Can’t use it on carpet

Let me start off by saying mopping used to be my least favorite chore. What used to take me an hour takes me 20 min. I have 3000 square feet of flooring in my house and the battery has never been an issue, so far I have had plenty of charge to even run the self cleaning cycle. I like that it tells me when to refill the clean water tank and empty the dirty water tank. I can’t wait to throw away my old mop!

Big let down
At first I was head over heels for this product, not even 2 months in I absolutely hate it, yes the suction power is great and it does more than a decent job, but the SMELL from the mop is ridiculous; I didn’t spend so much money for a “self cleaning vacuum” that still requires a bunch of maintenance after every little use, from emptying out the chamber to washing out the tank residue and it still STINKS LIKE WET DOG. Worst purchase ever.
I was looking forward to get this product as we needed a lot of help to keep the house clean (you know, kids), the thing is that the house is not that dirty at all times but man, the suction is OK, however, the mopping, that roll is so weak, it cannot remove an easy stain, I can do it with my bare hands and a wipe. Like, I was expecting it to do a better job. Glad I didn’t try breaking an egg on the floor like all those paid (they should be paid to say good things about this) tiktoks.

After exactly 1 year, battery malfunctions
When it worked it did a great job and it’s safe on hardwood floors. It’s much better than the regular swiffer type dirt smears and you get the added satisfaction from looking at the dirty water tank after a run. However only one year after purchase the battery became faulty and maxes out charge at 17% which is about 3-4 min run. Currently waiting on customer service to respond to my inquiry about this issue.

Not worth the combo feature
I liked the idea of the combo feature, but on max mode the dust buster part struggled to suck up popcorn crumbs off of the couch. A light layer of mud got tracked in and on the max suction mode the vacuum mop struggled to get it cleaned up. Had to go over it multiple times – which wasn’t the case when we first purchased it. I was also never able to get it to pair with the app. Ordered a Black Friday deal of the s7 steam and hopeful this works much better. Had the s3 prior to this one and it worked much more efficiently was just intrigued by the combo feature, bigger water tank and closer to the wall cleaner feature.

Battery died after 1.5 years(still in warranty)
Purchased last February. The machine was fine but the battery stop holding charge after 1.5 year. Now the unit only work for less than one minute after full charge. It is still under warranty I submitted a warranty request but got no response.

Charged it, and never got to use it. Product gave errors immediately upon turning it on. It would vacuum but never mopped. Frustrating experience. What an inconvenience. Live chats with both tineco and amazon. Have to box it back up and ship it back. Can’t even exchange for same price. I will be purchasing a different brand.

Honestly opinion, S5 is to heave for me to use. But it has a good functionality, and the floor is very clean after washing. So, I’ve decided to buy a lighter model from the same brand.

My tile floors are finally clean. This vacuum and mopped is perfect. There was only a little space where the floor is not even that it did not clean but other that it was perfect. I love to see when the blue light come on letting me know that it is clean.

Waste of a lot of money
Stopped working after 8 1/2 months. It’s too expensive to stop working so soon. Very sad and disappointed with this purchase. We loved when we first got it but didn’t last. Now I’m not sure what to do with it.

Not the best mop, but convenient for everyday use
I got this during prime day and had high hopes after seeing reviews on tik tok. It definitely has great suction. When emptying the water tank, it’s crazy to see how much it picks up. Now as for the mop function…4/10. I guess I was expecting it to function like a normal mop that would get grimy stains off of the floor, but I think it is just for quick spills and messes. It’s pricy, so just get the regular model, they will function the same. It is also cordless, so that is convenient. I use this everyday in my kitchen.

Not worth your money
So I haven’t had this product for a year yet. It doesn’t deep clean what so ever. I have to mop before and then use thise throughout the day to help keep it clean I have 3 young kids and 3 dog. I honestly have been using me broom and mop I jagent really used the s5 often I went to use the s5 pro. As soon as I pull it off the charging base the battery dies. The replacement is outrageous on the price. I am just satisfied nor a fan

Best purchase of the year
Easy to assemble and use, not heavy, really good for liquids that my toddler spills everywhere. Not a big volume of water tank, but we don’t have pets and our house not a big size. So is enough for my house cleaning. Battery runs out faster than I expected therefore you may need additional time for cleaning

Save your money
The concept is great. I love the idea of a vacuum style mop and not having a mop bucket etc. however, this particular style is not great. I continuously get “dirty water tank is full, please empty” errors when in fact it isn’t full. Yes I’ve done all the troubleshooting and cleaned all the parts. As a matter of fact I just had it in for warranty work for this particular issue last month. Got it back and it worked, seemingly correct, for about 2 weeks and now we’re back to the same old crap. Save your money and buy something else. I guess sometimes old school methods are best

Cleans floors great!
I love that this floor cleaner actually does a great job of cleaning the floors. The vacuum is light and easy to use. I was shocked at how filthy the water was in the dirty water tank! After I cleaned the floor, I got a paper towel to test the floor to see how clean it was. To my surprise, the paper towel was spotless! The floor even “felt” clean when I did the “bare foot” test. Very impressive! The MAJOR downside to this cleaner is the battery run time. It isn’t enough time to clean my house on one charge (and I only have 1000 sq ft area). It literally took me two days to clean my floors due to the time it took to recharge the vacuum. When I am in the cleaning mood, I want to be able to get it all done at once! Therefore, I returned this item and purchased the Tineco corded steam cleaner.

I wanted to give this product a chance because it worked really well the first few months, mind you is not being heavily used and is already leaking water, I can’t return it now because the return window has closed. Just save your money and buy other better quality products

I read a lot of reviews, watched a lot of TikTok videos on several models before deciding on this one. I’m not sure why some said they spend more time cleaning than using. It literally takes 2 seconds to wipe down any extra after the self clean runs. The first time I used it my floors needed to be cleaned badly! I just had a vaca week and a lot of running in and out of the house. Plus… I have a golden retriever. I have a 2400 sq ft house and I did everything except bedrooms.(they are carpet) I still had plenty of battery life left! If you’re still on the fence about one of these, buy it now! It’s easy,does a great job cleaning and is fun to use! Highly recommend!!

Stubborn and pointless

Works great on hardwood floors!
After a lot of research I decided to buy the Tineco S5 floor cleaner. Our house is majority hardwood floors and I needed to save time mopping and vacuuming. I cleaned the whole house including tile in laundry/bathrooms in no time. Vacuum feature works great as well- pick up small dirt and hair. The self propelled aspect is great as it isn’t heavy to push

You have to thoroughly wash EVERY use or it stinks horribly. The pad, filter, plug, and dirty water tank. It takes longer to clean it up than to mop.

This is amazing. Instead of vacuuming, then mopping our 2K SF home, which took about 1.5hrs I spend 45 min with this vac and do it simultaneously. It dries very fast. Sucks up debris. And I love that it has separate clean and dirty water tanks. I can do the entire house in one charge which is great. It’s it’s quiet. It cleans its own roller. It sticks up along edges. It has a swivel handle which is great. CONS: it’s not as flexible on the swivel as my Dyson cordless so it won’t get behind toilets. And It doesn’t lay flat so it doesn’t get all the way under furniture, but those are easy touch up areas. I’m happy with this purchase

Easy, efficient, works like a dream!
Great at cleaning and cleaning up after itself, the floors take a few minutes to dry even in our humid climate. Have not seen any wood warping. For stubborn spots, just takes a few sweeps over the same area and the stain is gone. Love this puppy!

Customer support is a joke
Bought this expensive floor mop.. have had nothing but issues with it! Keeps telling me dirty water tank is full and it’s empty! Also tried to run a self cleaning cycle and doesn’t even get 30 seconds into it and tells me dirty water tank is full again. Called customer service and keep getting disconnected. Very dissatisfied and disappointed

Lasted 7 months
Purchased the Tineco Floor One s5 in March. Loved it- and although it is expensive it did a great job. Then at 7 months it stopped working. Called Tineco. I found customer care to be rude and dismissive. I have to pack it up- which is miserable in itself and send to them so they can change the battery out. For what it costs the battery should last longer than 7 months.

Works great, cleaning it is a hassle
Love this thing! It does a great job of picking up dirt, hair, and spills. Only downside is you really should clean it after each use – which then defeats the idea of a quick 2-3 minute cleanup. There’s a self clean cycle which it usually prompts you to run after every use – that part is easy. But then you need to clean the dirty water tank. It’s also important to check the actual roller. I neglected to do that once and the stench was awful – there was food that was stuck and was essentially rotting 🤢 Still recommend it, as my floors are definitely staying cleaner since buying this. Just know that there is more involved than simply turning it on and off!
