I had been eyeing this machine for years after seeing it on social media. I couldn’t pull the trigger because it is expensive and the reviews were a bit mixed. When I saw it for sale with a steep discount during Prime day, I finally committed and I am so glad I did. I am a busy mom of 4 who just doesn’t have time to mop everyday (or week unfortunately). We have tile in the kitchen and hardwood floors where we eat. The kitchen tiles were NEVER clean. I sometimes steamed them twice in a row and then used a regular mop and the floors still didn’t pass the “paper towel” test. Enter Tineco. As soon as I charged it for the first time I did my tiled floors. I did 2 rounds just because I wanted to give the machine a fair shot on floors that never seemed to get clean. Oh my gosh, for the first time EVER there was no residue on a paper towel when I wiped the floor. None whatsoever. I’ve seen complaints about the battery but I have a 3600 sq ft house. I bought the combo (more in that later) which I think has a shorter battery life than the regular Tineco — I can still do my whole first floor before the battery even gets to 30%. I did my entire kitchen, eat in area, living room, dining room, and the first floor bathroom tonight and it was at 40%. I did have to clean the dirty water tank once and add fresh water but I don’t mind. I bought the combo — I wish I would have bought just the regular one. I have yet to use the hand vac and I honestly don’t think I ever will. I can just use our regular vacuum if I need to get into tight crevices. That is my only regret with this machine. Cleaning is a breeze. I had an issue the first time running the self clean — it kept telling me to clean the dirty water tank even though it was clean. I ended up just manually starting the self clean function and it worked like a charm. This machine saves me so much time and now my floors are clean. It takes not even 5 minutes to clean the machine when I’m done (wash the dirty water tank, the roller, wipe down the machine, etc) and that’s because I really want to take care of the machine. You probably don’t need to be as diligent as I am. I did notice it leaves slight streaking on my darker hardwood floors (nothing on my light hardwood). It is minimal and doesnt bother me whatsoever. All in all, I love this machine and so far I don’t regret this purchase whatsoever. I hope this review helps someone who may be contemplating!
I bought the machine three months ago. It is not working correctly. You have to put it on the charger to start the machine. I called the company they had me ship the machine back for repair receive the machine back with the same issue now they want to send me a refurbished machine! After spending almost $500 on a new machine, I have to except a refurbished machine. And they threaten you if you put a negative review.

Best purchase of 2023
The media could not be loaded. There are some features on their flagship mop vac that I would love to have in this S5 Pro 2, such as the lights. Sounds like a gimmick, but we have the laser Dyson, and it legitimately helps you see the dust and dog hair on the floor, and the larger battery capacity. I don’t actually have an issue with the clean or dirty water tank size, even tough I do have to empty them during cleaning cycles depending on how dirty the floors are since it automatically adjusts how much cleaning solution is dispensed – a great feature. Sometimes the clean water lasts longer, and the dirty water tank takes longer to fill up, and sometimes it’s quicker. Just depends on how dirty the floors are. As you can see in the video, it does great with dog hair. We have a Golden Retriever. Her hair has literally killed vacuums despite regular cleaning, but the Tineco doesn’t have any weak points where the hair builds up. As long as I stay on top of regular cleaning I don’t typically vacuum before moping, but if there’s excessive hair on the floor I will sometimes run the Dyson first just to make the Tineco last longer before needing to go through a cleaning cycle. In this video I shook out our rugs onto the floor so that you can really see the mop being run through the paces, and it does great! In so many of the review videos you see people pouring spaghetti and other food debris onto the floor – that’s probably a factor if you have a toddler in your home. We do not. I think the review video’s are excessive. We’ve had small accidents – spills, food dropped, etc. and where I use to run and grab a towel, I now run and grab the mop. Sometimes I realize I’m grabbing the mop for small messes just because it’s quicker and more fun than getting down on my hands and knees to pick up a mess. As I mentioned, we don’t have a toddler, but we do have our nearly 91 year old grandmother who lives with us and sometimes I think she’s equal to a toddler in the messes that she makes. Sticky floors and bathroom accidents – are actually why I bought the mop in the first place. I was finding that the amount of time that I was spending cleaning in the morning was causing me to be overly stressed and late to work. This Tineco has mostly eliminated that issue, and for that reason has been worth the high when compared to some competitors. It does great! I hope it lasts for a long time, but if something were to happen, I think I would replace it immediately. I wish it were a little more affordable and less of excessive purchase, because I would love to be able to gift this as a house warming gift or wedding gift or be more confident in recommending to friends and family that are on tighter budgets, but at the price point, that’s one hesitation that I have. For me though, I love it, and have zero buyers remorse after 3/4’s of a year of ownership and regular use.

I like that it does clean, but it doesn’t last long. It drains the battery fast. So you have to stop, put it to charge and wait until its fully charged to continue cleaning. Very annoying 🙄

Smelly Tank
I love my Tineco cleaner. My only downfall is that my tank has a smell to it. After every use I cleaned out the tank. I even put hot water and bleach in it to try and get the smell out. Still has an odor to it.

Definitely pros and cons
Pros: It’s easier to vacuum and mop in one step. The machine definitely gets my floors cleaner. Cons: The brush roll never gets completely dry, even if I remove it after every use, so it smells like mildew very quickly. Definitely gross. It often blows dog hair around instead of sucking it right up. The clean water tank is small and empties really quickly- often before I finish just one room. Don’t know if it’s a flaw with my machine, but I will run the self clean cycle and then only a minute into cleaning my floors, it sometimes tells me to run the self clean cycle again. I really wanted to love this machine, but for the price, I feel like there are too many cons- the smelly brush roll being the biggest one.

Not worth it!
This product was a complete disappointment. Yes it mops, but honestly it mops like an 8 year old would mop with dirty water and no energy to mop. The suction is not all that, and if it’s a stain from 6 days ago you’ll be standing in one spot for minutes trying to get it to clean. This is indeed for a quick spill that happened minutes ago and that’s it. Definitely not for “gonna mop the whole house this weekend” type of gadget. And let’s not mention how expensive it is for something some paper towels will do the trick. Really disappointed

This has changed my life
I’ve never been able to clean up messes so easily. I have a 2 and 1-year-old (IYKYK!), I’m a full-time mom, and my husband works practically every day of the week; if it isn’t time-saving, I don’t want it. This is so easy to fill and clean. It cleans messes from flour to crumbs the size of crushed-up crackers (save me some time from sweeping then mopping!!) to just a simple kitchen floor clean, and bet your floors are dirtier than you think when this machine does its magic. The self-cleaning mode saves me so much time; my hands and nails thank me. I have a house cleaner every two weeks, she uses a hand flat mop, but the floors were so dirty when I first got this and used it. I have 750 sq ft of hardwood floor, not including my three bathroom’s tile. It’s so easy to use and an excellent investment; I feel like I can lick my floors because they’re so clean.

The only bad thing about this is the battery life. Other than that this thing is amazing. Cleans stuff you don’t even see. I highly recommend this for everyone. It’s easy to charge and use. Tanks are small So you do have to refill and clean during mopping but it’s well worth it.

Cannot replace battery & will no longer charge
I absolutely loved this wet/dry vacuum until the 7 month mark. This last month the battery began draining so quickly, I could barely finish a small room. I looked into replacing the battery but soon found that is not an option. The battery is housed in a difficult to access area and the Tineco website does not offer any replacement batteries for this model. After dealing with the battery draining quickly, it will now not charge above 20 percent; thus it is unusable. I cannot afford to purchase a $500 item every 8 months. Ridiculous! Do NOT buy this item.

Back problems made me look for a solution to keep my floors clean without pain. This was it. I watched reviews of several products and bought this because it was promised to be quiet and easy to use and clean. it is both those things. Love, love that I can vacuum and mop at the same time. What a time and pain saver for me and I find that I clean my floors way more often now because it is almost fun (really!). Quieter than my vacuums. I wasn’t sure I’d like the voice telling me what to do, but I do. It is much easier for me than if I turned it off (there is an option to do that) because otherwise you would need to memorize the error codes and what the lights on the top are telling you is going on. I like the voice doing it. Not annoying voice and only speaks when necessary. I like the self cleaning function and find that the tray the device sits on to charge and self clean just needs to be cleaned before and after with a quick wipe of a damp paper towel. Like that I store all the extra parts and accessories on the charging station too. it’s too easy to lose track of those things so nice they are in one compact place. Roller easy to remove and clean, same with dirty water tank. The cleaning brush it comes with is easy to use and you do need to clean out the tube under the dirty water tank periodically, especially if you have pet hair issues or long hair yourself that may get caught in it. Like many suction cleaner moving slower will get you more cleaning power so patience is key, but still, it makes quick work of all the tile in my smallish house (mostly tile) and still with charge to go. Will usually need a refill of the water and cleaning solution and an emptying of the dirty water tank, but both those are easy to do and easy to replace once you get the hang of it. I found just taking a bit more time and paying attention to how things go on and off made it easy and not frustrating to learn to manage use of this. Not the best maneuverability as far as turning tight corners, but it is small enough to fit between the toilets and in other smaller areas. Not likely to fit under sofas or other lower to the ground furniture though. Also will not suck much up against the wall and not anything under counters–just not enough suction for that, so I do vacuum. Be sure to clean the roller–I hold it under hot water tap and rinse it off after use to keep it from getting stinky and to get hair and strings off it. Keeps it working better too. Self cleaning doesn’t take long so be sure to make time for that when you are finished with the floors because it may force you to do it by keeping talking to you anyway. But this is a fabulous function so worth the bit of extra effort to empty the dirty water tank before and after cleaning and ensure there is water and cleaning solution in the clean water tank before (machine will tell you if needed anyway). If you have limited floor space and few options for a place to store it and charge it that may be a negative. I have a smaller home and ended up keeping it behind a chair in my living area. I don’t mind at all because it makes my life so much easier and the trade off is my floors are cleaned very often compared to before having this, and my back is very happy about it (BTW it is not very heavy either so that is also helpful). Overall, I’d buy it again in a heartbeat.

Terrible battery compared to the Tineco S3!!
I’d most definitely repurchase the Tineco S3, but 100% do NOT recommend this Tineco model with the handvac. I was a super happy customer with an older version of the ifloor series. I’ve always highly recommended Tineco and became a loyal customer, but I am very disappointed with this purchase. The battery did not last at all. You cannot use it on eco mode for floors, and you can’t even put it on self clean mode when the battery is drained despite being plugged in. The mop vac shows as 1% charged despite being plugged in for an hour now and cannot be used again until it’s ready. I just need to vacuum half a room more 🙁 The charge on the device goes down by 10% in less than 2 minutes… You are definitely better off purchasing an older version of this device and getting a separate handvac. Do not make my mistake and assume that newer is better or that more is better. I wish there was more transparency on the specs of this device and a more accurate comparison with older models. The older model self propels and cleans just as good as this one. It even has a bigger water tank! This one is definitely smaller so it MAY be able to squeeze into smaller spaces, but that is the only redeeming quality. I regret this purchase and would return if I hadn’t so confidently thrown out the box. Now that other reputable brands have begun designing similar vacmop concepts, I wonder if what they have to offer is better than Tineco’s newest products.

Works well but stinks
Very easy to use and works well, but no matter how well you clean it and let it dry it stinks. Especially when used to clean up anything other thelan occasional dirt and grime. It is fairly quiet, charge holds well, and is not super heavy. I’ve had it since April and suddenly today it says the dirty water is full no matter what I do. I’ve scrubbed every part of the machine that can be cleaned, put it back on the charger, turned it on and off, amd still won’t work. If it only survived this long with 2x a week use it is certainly not worth the price. Also recommend getting several filters and brush rollers to try and decrease how smelly they get. It’s a lot of maintenance. It does handle my double coated dogs hair well.

Was super excited over this product. It does clean well without streaking. I love that the sensors tell you where your “dirty” areas are and changes from red for dirty to blue when clean. That was probably my favorite part. The cons are that the water tank empties pretty quickly and you are stopping every few minutes to either change the dirty water, add water or run a cleaning cycle. Too many start and stops until your floors are clean. I have an 1800 square foot home so it shouldn’t take stoping a half a dozen times to clean your floors. I am sadly returning mine today.

Worked for 6 months, totally not worth it
Unfortunately this machine only actually worked for about 6 months… I know, the reviews are great. I even had good friends who had it and loved it so I decided to get one since all 2600 sq. ft. of our home has hard wood floors. What a disaster! In the beginning… this machine was great. It was easy to use, worked like a dream, and I used it 2-3 times a week. At about the 4 month mark it started having troubles. The “Start Cleaning Cycle” alarm would go off constantly. My husband joked that it talked more than I did. Even if I had deep cleaned it before putting it on the base and then ran it’s cleaning cycle on the base it would still tell me to run the cleaning cycle. The thing was spotless yet it would tell me that it needed another cleaning cycle. It did it while on the charging base, upon start up, while running, all the time. Shortly after it became possessed a piece fell off. The white piece that helps it connect to the charger began to come loose and then just fell completely off. This machine has been spoiled. I don’t run into things with it. It’s not doing steps or concrete or tight corners. Yet after a short period this piece just fell off. After the piece fell off it started to leak, really bad. It would leave puddles of water on the floor. It would leave a trail of water anywhere it went. It didn’t matter if it was reclined or completely upright. It leaked all the time. So now it has a piece that won’t stay on so it can charge, it’s leaking all over so it’s going thru water every 5 minutes and making more of a mess than it’s cleaning, and the voice box is possessed. I tried customer service but they were less than helpful. Total waste of time reaching out. So given they weren’t going to help I ended up Gorilla gluing the piece that kept falling out. This helped some but not enough. It didn’t leave as much water on the floor which meant I also didn’t have to fill and empty it every 5 minutes. However, it still leaks like a sieve when off and going from room to room. Also, nobody mentioned that you need to replace the roller every month, which runs between $10-$20 dollars each. And you need to buy their “special” cleaning fluid for it. It’s not just a one time investment. I was lucky and paid much less than they are going for today but it still it hurts to spend hundreds of dollars on a machine that was supposed to make things easier but after a few months starts making things harder. At this point it’s more trouble than it’s worth so it’s going into the trash. Which again stinks because these machines will all end up in the landfills after a short time in use. Save yourself the headache and the $$$ and stick with your wet jet or mop. I’m going back to a mop, swiffer wet jet, etc. They don’t yell at me, don’t need refilled and emptied all the time, don’t leave puddles on my floor, don’t cost hundreds of dollars, and don’t make more work for me.

Water flow is compromised after 3 month
Great product overal. But after 3 months of usage it barely pump out any water onto the roller. Before, I need to refill the water tank once before finish cleaning the whoe house, now it only use less than 1/5 of the whole tank. Customer service number doesn’t exist. Online customer service asked us to ship it back for repair without being able to give us a loaner machine. not worth the money, if Dyson one day launch a similar product I would 100% get rid of this one. $499 for what?

Horrible battery life!
I absolutely loved this machine, but i’ve barely had it for a year and the battery no longer charges past 22. Completely unacceptable. i spent good money for this machine and have this type of failure within a year is not acceptable. So i spent 500 bucks for the machine, along with refills of solution and extra rollers and i have nothing to show for it. Be leary.

Roller brush sucks
I wanted to love this I really did. I love the concept but my issue comes with the roller brushs. It’s easy to take the roller brush off. However getting the dirt out of the roller brush is the hard part. The dirt loves the roller brush. I ran over a poptart that my kids smashed into the floor along with a spill from their cup. It picked everything up great. Until i went to clean the roller brush and couldn’t get the stickiness out. I’m soaking it overnight in hopes that it’ll fix that but even dawn dish soap couldn’t do the job. Yes I immediately cleaned the machine. I even ran 3 self cleans before taking the roller brush apart.

Unreliable
We’ve had this for almost 5 months. It was great at first for cleaning up our hardwood and tile floors. Recently, however, it has started to tell us we have to empty the dirty water tank every thirty seconds while trying to clean up small messes. I’ve been told that thoroughly cleaning the tank, roll, and passage from the roll into the tank should help with the issue — it does, but only for one cleaning. After that, we start getting the error again. The dirty tank is nowhere near full when this happens, not even half an inch of liquid in there. It’s been super frustrating to have spent so much on something only to have it work so poorly so quickly.

Not Worth It
I had very high hopes for this, I’m so upset it doesn’t do what it was design to do. It doesn’t have good suction and doesn’t clean the floor at all. I will constantly go over the same spot, we have lots of paw prints on our floors, they won’t even remotely come off. My baby will throw his food on the ground and all it does is pushes it around. This is straight out of the box to!! Don’t waste your money, get the cheap 100 one, it’ll do the same thing

The smell?
How come no one is talking about the smell?!? I actually like this vacuum although there is a lot of cleaning required to keep this product working well. I clean it after each use and do the self clean option as well. After about 2 weeks it started to smell awful and have taken it apart many times to deep clean all the pieces. I cannot get the smell out of the dirty water tank and have tried everything. Did anyone else have this problem? Any solutions?

The best item I have purchased
I am in love with this product as my floors have never been cleaner. The product makes you aware of all necessary steps. Sure they are a lots of commands but that is exactly what I needed. I follow. I LOVE this thing!!! I have used it 3 times since I purchased it and it is amazing!!! I wish the water tanks were slightly bigger and the battery lasted a little longer. I can almost get all of the floors downstairs done before it needs to go on the charger. It does a good job and leaves my floors nice and clean. Bad customer service/ warranty
I purchased this product in April of 2023, fast forward 4 months later it said the “dirty water tank isn’t installed correctly” and wouldn’t let me run the machine. I sent it in at the August 2nd and was told it would be back to me in 7-10 days. They reached back out and said that it wasn’t fixable and that they were going to send me a refurbished machine. I asked when they were going to do that and they said they were having inventory issues and had no idea when I’d get a machine again. So I emailed back and forth and then they told me to send back my machine even though their warranty people had it?! I called days later and was told they would have it resolved in 24 hours. Here we are August 24th and I have no machine, they practically stole my machine because it has a 2 year warranty and I am out hundreds of dollars. This company has terrible customer service and I do not recommend.

It mops great for everyday mess but if its a stuck on mess,not too good.The handheld vacuum could have been more powerful. They should have made the small attachments for the handheld vacuum attach to the actual device. That would have been helpful. The brush roller could have more texture for tough messes.

Doesn’t last! Waste of money!
I bought this so excited from all the rave reviews on tik tok. What a waste if $400 plus dollars. Not only is the connection for it to charge complete garbage, but when it does get a semi connection it will appear to be 100% but the second you use it, it’s dead! The metal pieces are rusted out already too. I only ever used the product they recommend and it has ruined my floors by stripping the varnish and warping the wood. I am now going to have to pay for my floors to be resurfaced! I am beyond upset! I want my money back!

BEST INVESTMENT EVER!
Where to even begin with this machine…I purchased the Tineco floor one S5 cordless and let me tell you, worth every penny. I have had this machine for over a month now, and the videos stand true. I have laminate wood look flooring and I vacuum at least 4 times a week since I have 4 dogs and 2 kids to manage. In between that I use the Tineco at least 3 times a week and it keeps my floors looking amazing and spotless. I have even done the paper towel test after mopping and the towel is clean! Not a speck of dirt! If it broke in 6 months, I WOULD BUY IT AGAIN! Great product and lightweight/easy use. I Recommend this to everyone I know.

So the product is good. What I like: – self cleaning feature – charging station – multi-function: you can have it as a vacuum/mop OR a switch it to be a hand held small vacuum. – above average suction power. What I don’t like: – small water tank: I have a small apartment (800 sqft) and I have to empty and refill water 3-4 times to go through the whole apartment. Cleaning and refilling it takes about 10 minutes every time. – doesn’t scrub dirt off the floor: a regular mop does a better job when it comes to removing a day or two old stains on your floor. This doesn’t really scrub any dirt off your floor. – the sensor on it isn’t as effective: it lights red to tell you that it’s a dirty spot and needs another run on it. But in reality it’s not dirty and I’m not even sure why the screen turns red LOL.

The media could not be loaded. They have a malfunctioning, dirty water tank. After contacting customer service and receiving a new one in the mail, that one only lasted a few months as well. It literally stopped working and tells you to clean the dirty water tank when the dirty water tank is dirty and it will not run.

The empty dirty water tank flashes and refuses the let the mop work even when the thing is EMPTY! When it works it’s great. It never works for long, which makes it useless! I have made MULTIPLE calls to the company, even sent one machine back and they said they refurbished it and sent it back. I don’t believe them!!! It keeps doing the same thing over and over and over and over again. Won’t operate because it says the dirty water tank is full and it is NOT, IT IS BONE DRY! I dried it with a towel. They keep asking me to check the same things that don’t work and all they offer is to send it back AGAIN & AGAIN & AGAIN. I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY AGAIN.
