I had been eyeing this machine for years after seeing it on social media. I couldn’t pull the trigger because it is expensive and the reviews were a bit mixed. When I saw it for sale with a steep discount during Prime day, I finally committed and I am so glad I did. I am a busy mom of 4 who just doesn’t have time to mop everyday (or week unfortunately). We have tile in the kitchen and hardwood floors where we eat. The kitchen tiles were NEVER clean. I sometimes steamed them twice in a row and then used a regular mop and the floors still didn’t pass the “paper towel” test. Enter Tineco. As soon as I charged it for the first time I did my tiled floors. I did 2 rounds just because I wanted to give the machine a fair shot on floors that never seemed to get clean. Oh my gosh, for the first time EVER there was no residue on a paper towel when I wiped the floor. None whatsoever. I’ve seen complaints about the battery but I have a 3600 sq ft house. I bought the combo (more in that later) which I think has a shorter battery life than the regular Tineco — I can still do my whole first floor before the battery even gets to 30%. I did my entire kitchen, eat in area, living room, dining room, and the first floor bathroom tonight and it was at 40%. I did have to clean the dirty water tank once and add fresh water but I don’t mind. I bought the combo — I wish I would have bought just the regular one. I have yet to use the hand vac and I honestly don’t think I ever will. I can just use our regular vacuum if I need to get into tight crevices. That is my only regret with this machine. Cleaning is a breeze. I had an issue the first time running the self clean — it kept telling me to clean the dirty water tank even though it was clean. I ended up just manually starting the self clean function and it worked like a charm. This machine saves me so much time and now my floors are clean. It takes not even 5 minutes to clean the machine when I’m done (wash the dirty water tank, the roller, wipe down the machine, etc) and that’s because I really want to take care of the machine. You probably don’t need to be as diligent as I am. I did notice it leaves slight streaking on my darker hardwood floors (nothing on my light hardwood). It is minimal and doesnt bother me whatsoever. All in all, I love this machine and so far I don’t regret this purchase whatsoever. I hope this review helps someone who may be contemplating!
I bought the machine three months ago. It is not working correctly. You have to put it on the charger to start the machine. I called the company they had me ship the machine back for repair receive the machine back with the same issue now they want to send me a refurbished machine! After spending almost $500 on a new machine, I have to except a refurbished machine. And they threaten you if you put a negative review.

Works until it doesn’t
I purchased my floor machine almost 2 years ago. It worked great cleaning my travertine floors. Until now.The machine charges to 100% but goes to 0% in less than a minute. I’ve been going back and forth with customer service trying to demonstrate the issue. They’ve had me jump through hoops before they finally acknowledged the machine needs repair. It’s just 2 weeks away from the warranty to expire.they want me to send it back for repair. Sending it back to them for repair seems unwieldy but I’ll give it a go. I’ve read reviews elsewhere with other buyers who’ve had a similar issue with the battery charge. If I had to do over again I’d consider a different brand.

Good product but dont throw away you other tools yet
I think this is overall a good product for cleanup of quick messes. It was very easy to install, I just had to click the handle in place. The instructions say to charge it fully before first use and I did that. I then went to use it. The product is light, the suction power was great and it did not require multiple passes. To me the two problems I observed were: it automatically moves forward without you doing anything. So whenever I wanted it to go slower I had to pull against it. This became annoying because it made a light product feels heavy. The battery power lasts very little. I could not finish our entryway, living, dining room and kitchen in one go. I thought it would be enough but when I got to the kitchen I realized this does not do well with tough stairs. Perhaps it is not about the product but rather the cleaning solution? The tough stains took a few passes and still did not go away completely. And in trying to get them off, the battery died. I was quite surprised that it takes so long to charge it (4-5h) when it lasts only 20min. For this reason and for it being indoors only, I would have preferred a corded version.

I loved it at first. Worked great in the beginning but after a handful of cleanings, no matter how much you clean it out, change the filter and clean the roller it gives off an awful musty, moldy smell while using it. Now it won’t take a charge up to more than 20% battery. It’s garbage at this point.

Only Good In Theory
This is a good wet vac in theory only. You have to deep clean it in between every use. If you dont, it makes your house smell terrible because the rollers are retain nasty odors from previous cleanings. Constantly have to change the tanks, even when they arent full. The unit just shuts off because it thinks it needs changed. I wish I could send this back. Not worth hundreds of dollars.

Works incredibly well
I was highly skeptical but this does an incredible job. It sucks all the dirt in, mops the floor at the same time, & doesn’t leave the floor extremely wet after. I often times use it in auto mode and when the floor is dirtier in certain areas, it increases suction to compensate. I have tons of floor to cover & it hasn’t ran out of battery for me yet. The dirty water tank usually needs to be emptied once in between doing all the floors. I would recommend! The only thing I don’t like is the head is a bit too thick/tall to fit underneath my cupboards so it doesn’t get all the way underneath. I usually just use a small handheld vacuum for that area.

Tineco is worth the money
This was a big purchase for us, we’ve had all the regular mops, vacuums and even had the sweep/mop BISSELL but this by far surpasses all of those! It also came with solution, extra filters, extra roller, and charging base. The vacuum tells you when to empty it or fill up the water container which is nice. The suction on the vacuum part is awesome and it being cordless is a nice perk! My husband LOVES doing the floors now because it’s just way easier. I will say I read so many reviews, YouTube videos and TikTok videos about this product and finally made the choice on this s5 combo. Totally worth the price!

Great Product
It took me a year to decide on buying a Tineco Wet Dry Vacuum/Floor Mop and I am glad I finally did! I watched a lot of Youtube videos on them to decide. I bought the S5 combo. I used it the day I received it and my house smells really good. The cleaner scent is pleasant and not strong. It is self propelled, so it requires minimal push from you. It is self cleaning, but you do need to clean some parts yourself, which takes less then 5 minutes and easy to do. There is even a you tube video for that. I watched a You tube Channell called Type 5 Reviews, he did a video cleaning the parts and the video is 2 minutes and 31 seconds. I have a dog that always finds the mud to track in and this vac will make it easier to clean my floor. I cleaned all our wood floor in less than 30 minutes. I wish I would of bought it sooner, because its a time safer.

After 1year of loving this, the unit will no longer hold more than 5 minutes of charge. It says it’s 100%, but drops rapid to 40% then shuts off. Save your money. Buy a Bissel. I can no longer return or I would. It’s too expensive to be cheaply made.

Faulty
We have only had it a few months but the dirty water indicator is malfunctioning. It keeps repeating the prompt to empty the dirty water tank and nothing will make it stop, even after emptying it. We’ve cleaned the sensors multiple times, taken it all apart as some you tube videos suggest but it’s no use. We can’t get through one floor cleaning. I wish I could return it but it’s past the return window. So disappointed.

It does not do what it says it does
I cannot stand this machine. It never worked well. It works similar to a vacuum, and sucks things up, but not well. It does NOT scrub the floors, and is NOT like a wet mop. It says it will suck up dirt and also mop. It does not do a good job of either. Total waste of money.

Not worth the price
I had such high hopes for this vacuum. It started out okay but after a year the motor went out and it wasn’t covered. No way to fix it. I order the shark corded wet vacuum to replace. Way better suction and a fraction of the cost. Don’t get influenced into buying.

Exceptional product – worth the money
This Tineco product is great. We mop/vac approximately 1000sqft of hardwood/tile floor and still had 25% battery left. It cleans exceptionally well. Our dog upchucked with liquid and food and the Tineco picked it up without any problems at all. We were skeptical from watching the videos but they’re true. This mop/vac really will pick up liquid and solid stuff. The self cleaning cycle cleaned the machine perfect. We highly recommend this product!

Battery charging quit after 4 months
This worked awesome, until it stopped charging. We’ve cleaned all the charging ends and did everything we can. It really only got about 4-5 uses before it stopped charging. When you put it in, it’ll connect like it’s going to charge and then shuts down and does not charge. I’m so frustrated because it was expensive!

Doesn’t work as well as advertised
I like this vacuum, however, it doesn’t not mop up dirt as well as you think it would. It would be perfect for a house with no animals, but it doesn’t do a great job cleaning up anything even partially stuck to the floor. This would be a great vacuum/mop for an already clean house.

BATTERY LASTS 5 MINUTES!!!!!!!!
THE PRODUCT’S INITIAL BATTERY TIME WAS ABOUT 20 MINUTES. AS TIME GOES BY… 15, 10, AND NOW 5 MINUTES!!!!! THE CHARGING TAKES FOREVER. IT’S ALMOST UNUSABLE AT THIS POINT. CAN’T EVEN REPLACE THE BATTERIES LIKE SOME OTHER CLEANERS.

I’d seen this used by people on YouTube cleaning channels and thought about buying one for a couple years. My house is all hardwood and linoleum. Finally purchased when the price went down to $320 or so. I’ve used it twice so far I am super impressed. I’ve got a cat and it handled an area where he had gotten sick like a breeze. My floors are the cleanest they’ve been since I had them installed. Did the white sock test and they’re spotless. My harwood is engineered and has the “hand scraped” texture and this still cleans them perfectly. A must buy for anyone who hates mopping. This proves to me that mopping just pushes dirt around. The water that came out of the dirty water tank the first time I used it was black and I use the o cedar spin mop regularly!

I wanted to love it
I really wanted this to live up to the hype. But for me it did not get the job done. It takes a long time to charge. It definitely is self propelled! This thing wants to take you for a ride. It was not good at cleaning messes that were not brand new. Anything that was not a fresh mess was not coming clean with this. My old shark steam mop worked better. I ended sending it back and upgrading my shark steam mop for a newer bissell steam mop and it works so much better than this.

POOR, POOR PERFORMANCE
Save your money! This product leaves highly noticeable streaks and does not clean well. Moreover, it does not move with power assistance; in other words, it requires manual pushing and pulling. This is not a problem for most but it may be for those who need help pushing and pulling. Finally, I only used this once but had to refill the clean water tank three times and empty the dirty water tank three times (four if you include the need to empty after using the auto clean option). The cleaning area was not large; specifically, my kitchen, laundry room and primary bathroom. A total of less than 150 square feet

Does not charge after 1 year
I absolutely loved the Tineco s5 until it stopped charging after less than 1 year of use. I read many reviews stating the vacuum stopped charging after 1 year of use, but I took my chances and purchased the vacuum anyway. It was super convenient as a mom of 3 busy kids. It handled the toughest of jobs with such ease. My only complaint is that the battery stopped charging!! Beware!

Unbelievable
I have used a Tineco mop/vac for quite a while. I will NEVER BE WITHOUT ONE AGAIN! I love the newer model where it has a self cleaning mode. I still take it apart to dry and I always rewash the roller to make sure it is clean and smells fresh. It has to dry! I have an efficency apartment and all tile floor and saves me so much time!! Now there is a Tineco that offers a STEAM CLEANER and that one will be my next step. I have the first model and it still works, a #3 model and I LOVE IT. My daughter has the #5 with the steamer and she loves it. SAVES A LOT OF WORK!

I LOVE IT!! 🥰 I just added on and this was the 1st time my LVP had been cleaned after 15 people have been walking on it. It is so easy and picked up loose stuff. I did sweep before hand since I didn’t know how much it would pick up. Wowza! I went over the floor twice and looks amazing. I mopped it one way and let it dry. Put clean water in and did the other direction and boom it was clean. Still had to stop and scrape dried paint or glue off. There you have it. If you’re on the fence, I definitely recommend this little machine. So fast and east!!

Part start to break and their customer service is awful
Parts start to rust and break before a year and the customer service is terrible. The machine was good while it lasted but with this price it is not worth it

Saves so much time
Easy for my small apartment, I don’t think I can ever go back to a regular mop! Only challenge is the short battery life. I barely make it through my 850sqft house, if it was any larger I’d have to do half, recharge, and then do the rest.

Able to use it once and now no suction
I was excited about getting this product! Due to my back issues cleaning the floors with 2 dogs is hard to do but must be done. This looked like the answer, even though it was expensive, if it worked it would be worth it! I used it the first time and it worked great! The second time, no suction at all, it just spread the dirty water around and left it on the floor. I have counted the manufacturer and will update once I receive a reply.

Poor quality: Less than 5 months and issues
On the plus side it cleans well when working. On the down side it is usually not working. We received error message on self cleaning cycle after 4 months and customer service was great, sending a replacement part. It worked for exactly two rooms and now we are receiving the exact same error. Absolutely do not recommend unless you enjoy chatting with customer service.

For spills and light cleaning
This has worked well for spills and light cleaning. However, if you’re hoping for it to clean something that has dried onto the floor it probably won’t do very great. Make sure to empty AND RINSE the dirt water section after every use or it will stink to high heaven the next time you power it on.

The machine was great, andI loved everything about until it just stopped working. My original review was 5 stars but I had to change it so that nobody else deals with what I’m experiencing.. my machine stopped working with into the 2 year warranty, but dealing with Tinco has not been easy their customer service team seems to be located in asia based on the timing of their response.

Best purchase ever. Makes mopping so easy and I’ll actually do it now! Light weight, easy to maneuver. Cordless is a must. Suction is great. Cleaning it is not fun, and requires after each use to avoid smelling, but worth it for its functionality and ease.
