This is my third shark vacuum. I am impressed by the suction power of this vacuum. However, it is very difficult to push on my longer carpet. I have adjusted the suction power to the lowest setting and still struggle. It also pushes around object that’s aren’t imbedded into the carpet. It won’t pick up cheerios, Barbie shoes, raisins or items of similar size. Because of that I would not recommend it to anyone with children.

The suction is fantastic- I run Roomba every day but this vacuum sucked up so much dust and dog hair, you would’ve thought we hadn’t vacuumed in a year. The long handheld option is really nice, too.

Awkward, Heavy for its size, Non-retractable Cord
I can find little positive to say about this odd and awkward little vacuum. It is heavy for its size and does not maneuver well. The power head seems too narrow for its weight and so, overall, it is badly balanced and tends to be tipsy. No retractable cord winder. Its filters are just two pieces of soft foam. The power on/off button seems oddly and inconveniently located, all to accommodate the “lift off” canister function that I would rarely use. Suction seems average. Hair got badly wound in roller and had to be cut out with scissors. Definitely returning it. I read a positive review elsewhere and wasted my time trying it. Sorry I couldn’t find something to like about it. If it were possible to give it ZERO STARS, I would.

The vacuum cleaner was fine. I loved the suction power and all the features it provided. However, the problem is that the while vacuuming the lines show in the carpet (very deep) and it appears you need to vacuum in only one direction. In addition, I could not get the vacuum to vacuum over my area rug….which is is not an even rug so unfortunately, I returned it. If the lines don’t bother you and you have a tradition area rug you should be fine. It is a nice vacuum cleaner. I recommend this product.

There is a lot to like about this vaccuum. #1-Easy to assemble. #2-Nice HEPA filters to catch dust. #3-Easy to detach main unit from powerhead and easy to empty dirt container. #4-Nice long power cord. #5-Tools are attached out-of-the-way (to me) and they stay put. Very lightweight, maybe too light for me. It is back heavy and will tip over fairly easy (if using the detachable hose and/or tools). I bought this to do spot cleaning before using my carpet cleaner. It doesn’t have “Super” suction, but it will do a good job if I go over the area twice. I haven’t used it on bare floors or for other surfaces yet. I don’t have stairs, but I do like having the ability to detach the main unit and carry it around. I wish there were a strap or harness to make that easier. Overall, I’m happy with this vacuum. It also doesn’t take up my space.

This piece of crap was purchased due to having pets and the constant need to remove pet hair from the furniture. The hose is super short, tight, and awkward to use. If you’re using the hose with an attachment the entire thing falls over, remove the canister to use hose that falls over. I feel like I have to twist and turn my body all over the place to get the angle right all while holding on the canister. By the time I get done with one sofa my neck and back are locking up! This is the worst design I have ever had! I will not be going with Shark ever again. If I could give it a zero I would

Navigator flaw
Very disappointed that roller brush doesn’t keep spinning when we take off lift away cannister and re-attach to floor nozzle to reach under furniture and tables. I swear the one I had 5 yrs ago at my mom’s place did. But this new one does not. I had to order a second vac to easily get under couch, chairs, end tables, dining table, etc. I don’t want to have to move furniture every time I vac. I should be able to take off lift away pod reattach to handle/wand assembly and vacuum under things with roller spinning to get dog hair picked up. Super disappointed with this aspect.

We have a big indoor dog and have struggled to find vacuums that keep the house hair free! This is great! Suction is great and the attachments make it easy for couch, drawers, and closet vacuuming! Only thing I do not like is having to remove our hair from the roller. The roller does not come off and it is necessary to cut out the hair.

The product is lightweight and detaches, so you can easily clean stairs. Works equally well on hardwood floors as well as carpet. Sound level isn’t too bad either. We can use it and the cat won’t scurry away. Does a great job picking up dust and dirt.

It’s so hard to push!
So, today was the first time I’ve used this vacuum. It sucks up cat hair and dirt great. But it’s really hard to push. I feel like I’m at the gym weight lifting. Is there a way to make it glide across the floor/low pile carpet without having to break a sweat? Otherwise, it seems to work well. Like one other person said, the added utensils are placed in an inconvenient spot. I keep knocking them off. I will most likely just take them off and store them in the closet. I wanted an easy to use vacuum to keep on my first floor of my home. Was really hoping this would be the one. But, unless I can get it to move easier, I probably won’t be keeping it.

MAJOR Upgrade from the NV350
I bought a Shark NV350 (the purple one) about 9 years ago and it’s been fabulous. Then, it must have picked up something weird because the red light signaling motor overheating would not go off. Time for a new one! After reading a ton of reviews. I settled on this one as all of my old vac’s attachments will work with this one, plus the new ones it comes with. I was expecting a pretty much equal replacement, but wow, this new one is SUPER POWERFUL. Let’s just say I was thinking of replacing my carpeting as I could not get it to “fluff up” anymore from vacuuming. Well, after a couple passes with this new one and I’m not getting new carpet. The suction is so much improved over the old model and the “fluff” effect now lasts for days. Who knew a vacuum could make that much difference? Lightweight, super flexible and corners nicely, detaches from the base to be carried wherever you’ve a mind to, plus the price is decent. The color is a rich blue, not tacky looking like some. I’m sold. Great vacuum!

Great suction, but the attachment hose needs work!
I love the suction of shark vacuums. I have had 3 or 4. However, the attachment hose seems to always break after a year or so. I have had this one at just under a year, and noticed the hose is breaking. Maybe I’m just expecting too much?? Again, the suction is great!

3rd shark product I’ve used not happy.
I am a housekeeper, and I ordered this vacuum as a refurbished model due to the huge discount. There are some good aspects to this Vacuum Cleaner one being that it works very well on hard floors. On certain carpets, it works fabulous. Any carpet that is very dense or has a lot of nap to it. It’s so hard to vacuum. You feel like your arms gonna fall off. Considering this series says professional, I was very confused with how short the electrical cord is. This vacuum does have amazing suction. But I am done with shark products. The only one that I have used that I do like is the steam mop. I hope this helps someone looking for a Vacuum Cleaner. Have a great day!

Mostly Great Vacuum Cleaner
I used this almost daily throughout the holiday season with a lot of people coming in and out of the house, plus I have a pet that sheds beyond belief. Here are my observations about this no-frills vacuum. The Good: – Great suction. I mean extremely great suction. I’m pulling stuff out of my carpets I never knew got missed by my old vacuum. – Excellent with pet hair. This also surprised me as to how much my old vacuum missed. – Very mobile. The swivel roller head makes it very easy to clean around furniture. – Relatively quiet for a vacuum. Much quieter than my old one. – The whole thing detaches to use as a portable… including the vacuum stick (wand). It’s also fairly light weight and makes it easy to carry around. This cut into the value of my Dirt Devil handheld vacuum. – Long cord. Mine came with 25 feet (I measured it). This is long enough to clean a considerable area before needing to find another outlet. Not sure what people are complaining about in this instance. – Channels on roller bar that ease cutting away wrapped hair or threads. Makes cleaning the roller bristles much easier. – The single button bare floor to carpet switch. I really, really like this design feature as I can switch from carpeting to bare wood floors with a single flip of the 3-way switch. Nice. – Suction adjustment band on wand neck. My carpets got from short to pile thickness from one room to the next, and this allows me to adjust suction so it doesn’t just hold firm on the short pile. Love this feature. The Bad: – Canister seal against the intake port (from the wand) is not tight. Noticeable spray of dust coming out of the connect point. – Canister doesn’t entirely seal at the bottom against the filters. A lot of dust accumulation around the entire outside bottom rim of the canister during operation. – Canister is a bit too small. Would be nice if it were a half-a-liter larger. – Debris gets stuck in canister along the intake brace. Not a huge deal, and only mildly annoying. – Non-standard hose/wand outlet size. Means I can’t use the set of general attachments I already owned. Forces one to go with the Shark attachments if wanted. The Meh: – No headlight. Would be nice, but not a deal breaker. I use adequate lighting in my home when I vacuum. – Not entirely stable standing on its own. This is only true if you bump it in the front, but it can and will fall over. – No carpet height adjustment. NOTE: This is eased by the suction adjustment band on the wand neck, so it really doesn’t need a carpet height adjustment as the suction strength is variable. – Not optimal on stairs, but I used it for this purpose. A little bit of a struggle since the roller head likes to flop around on the swivel. – The suction pulls up a lot of dander from carpeting (more than anyone would expect… an excellent feature), but that means a heavy dust accumulation on the inside of the canister. As it is plastic, it ionizes rather rapidly, so huge amounts of dust stick to the inside. I use a compressed air canister (used for computer) to blow it out. Raises a huge dust storm, so do this outside. This is a no-frills vacuum that does more than it’s job at actual vacuuming. I am hoping the suction level holds out over time as this is single greatest feature of this budget vacuum. True, there are some bad and meh elements to this vacuum, but I found it truly does an outstanding job a cleaning carpets and floors… and that is the most important aspect.

This vacuum was worth every penny. I have a Korean Jindo, who has an undercoat and sheds like crazy she can shake, and a giant puff of hair will blow off her. My old vacuum took 8 to 10 runs to get all of the hair off my one bedroom apartment. This can take it all in one to two swoops. True GameChanger, super powerful, and easy to clean. Hasn’t gotten clogged yet.

The media could not be loaded. Has great power and easy to use. The power cord is attached to the lower part of the unit so I have to hold it while vacuuming to keep it out of the way. I use it in our basement which has carpet with a low padding and it works well. Our upstairs carpet has a high pad and the vacuum isn’t as easy to use—it’s-harder to push and pull.

I got this vacuum to replace my Dyson. For me it is not as easy to use as my old vacuum. It picked up great the first time I used it. I have stained concrete floors and it left scuffs on the floor. I have three huge area rugs. It is so hard to push on either setting. There are only 2 attachments and they seem pretty cheap. I like to use my vacuum to dust my tables and such and the attachment for dusting just doesn’t work well at all. I will end up keeping it because I need a vacuum cleaner.

I’ve had this vacuum for 1 1/2 years now. It has been a dream. Only recently did we have to replace a part…the top hose bit which had some breaks in it. I was a bit surprised but we live in a humid area and I believe leads to plastics etc to deteriorate quickly. Replacement part was relatively inexpensive and easy to order. LOVE SHARK!!
