Best vacuum I’ve ever had!
This is my third shark vacuum. I am impressed by the suction power of this vacuum. However, it is very difficult to push on my longer carpet. I have adjusted the suction power to the lowest setting and still struggle. It also pushes around object that’s aren’t imbedded into the carpet. It won’t pick up cheerios, Barbie shoes, raisins or items of similar size. Because of that I would not recommend it to anyone with children.

Not so great…
I had high expectations for this vacuum… if I’m going to pay nearly $200, I should at least be able to assemble it by myself. The hose simply would not attach for me… so I never got to try it out. I wept because I’m OLD, and had UPS pick it up for Return. Now I’m praying I get the full refund…because I still need a new vacuum, and Amazon is where I shop.

This vacuum has great cleaning/suction power, but it tips over extremely easy. The hose is way to sort. While using the hose you must hold the vacuum upright or else it will fall over it is a pain in the ***. If you bump the vacuum while it is standing alone it falls over too! We will have to buy a small hand held vacuum now. This sort of defeats the purpose of the shark upright style and tools. This is why I gave it a 3 star. the suction is great the design is crap!!!!

Terrible vacuum for rugs and thick carpets
I went by the reviews for this vacuum and they all gave rave statements but the reality is totally different. The vacuum gives two types of suction, one for solid floors and one for rugs and carpets but neither setting works on rugs and carpets. Do not use this machine on either of you have a bad back or have no arm strength because you will not be able to push it over carpet! Rugs of any kind just get sucked up! The attachments are cheap and nasty and there is not one for stairs apart from one with a long nozzle for getting in small spaces. It has great suction, so much you can’t use it on anything but bare floors! It’s disappointing and frustrating reading good reviews only to find out it’s not good at all. I probably will send it back and look for something else.

Not good on thick carpets
I regret that I bought this, especially for the price. There is no height adjustment for the brush. I cannot vacuum my thick rug. Also it’s too hard to maneuver. I’ve had less expensive Bissells and Hoovers that work better.

Loud squeaky wheels! Very annoying!
I just got this vacuum today and couldn’t wait to try it out. I bought it because it was on sale and I’ve had Shark vacuums before that alway worked well. This one felt a little cheaper than my last one, but that’s fine. When I started using it the wheels made the loudest squeakiest noise! It is very annoying and does not stop. It is a hassle to return a vacuum cleaner so I haven’t to decide if I will or if I can find a way to make the squeaky wheels stop. I would not buy this again.

Pretty good
Amazing suction power, on some carpets may be too much. Was easy to assemble, no tools needed. I wish there was a height adjust to the beater bar, my one carpet it just sucks the carpet in. Emptying the machine is fair to good, if have dogs, fur will get stuck on the inside. Not the end of the world but haing it dump right out would be nice. The features and accessories are nice, nothing really special. Make no mistake you are paying for the suction power, which is impressive. The price dropping $30 the day after I got mine was a bit souring but such is life these days. For what I paid I wouldnt buy one again, at the marked down price, I maybe would. If you have heavy shedders in your house (like 2 german shepherds) you will probably end up emptying a couple times per use, the container is not as big as advertised. Again, the suction power is very impressive, it may be a bit to heavy for a smaller person to carry around for stairs and such. But the suction is very good, so that motor has some weight. Am impressed with the power, the other features, average at best.

The suction on this thing is bonkers!
I replaced a heavier vacuum, because I now have to carry it up/down three flights of stairs. The suction power on this vacuum is nothing like I’ve had before. The first time I used it, it pulled up so much cat hair and dust that had been hidden in the carpet. I filled up the dust bin twice (and it’s big!) vacuuming three rooms. It revived an area rug that I thought I would have to get cleaned professionally. I’m actually enjoying vacuuming. That’s nuts. I 100% recommend this vacuum.

Product came cracked handle and then broke off with the 1st use. Had to send it back and didn’t have the box. So UPS store charged $53 to pack and send it back. I think I should not have to pay for this .

Impressive power and functionality
Moved into new construction home. Left a home of 24 years, 20 of which was using Oreck vacuum. Finally the Oreck had enough and I had to give her up. Used this Shark today and couldn’t believe the filth it picked up from a new home and new carpets! It is addicting to watch the dirt bin fill up. I’m going to vacuum every day now! I have 3 cats and several cat trees. Preparing for the move, I vacuumed them with the Oreck canister many times, scrubbed with carpet cleaner, but couldn’t get them very clean. One swipe of this Shark with the handheld function, those cat trees were clean! Very happy!

My new best friend!
I bought this on the recommendation of Consumer Reports. My old upright is just too heavy for me. It was an amazing price, great value. It has a clear collection drum which is extremely helpful. The suction is Better than any vacuum cleaner I have ever owned. I’m in my seventies so have had quite a few! It is so easy to click out the hose and use the attachments. It only came with a couple but you can purchase a bundle for about $20, if you need them. Highly recommended.

Wow! Over the years I’ve had a couple of Sharks BUT none compare to this one. It has renewed the texture of my carpet to make it look nearly new. It pulls even the dust that has been imbedded in the carpet for years. It is very easy to assemble, is heavy enough so you can feel it doing its job. Is easy to empty and clean. The downside, which doesn’t affect the cleaning, is the longest pile setting isn’t as high as my older models, so it is harder to push. Highly recommend this model if you have high traffic, kids, pets, or a lot of dirt brought into the home. You’ll be totally amazed😊

Clogs easily with pet fur
I love the shark vacuum cleaners. But this model is unsatisfactory. It clogs quickly with pet fur and you have to turn it upside down to remove the fur. This is after just a couple of passes on bare floor. This model said it was good for pet fur, but it is not. Not very good suction at all. Sorry I spent money on this one. Will donate it as soon as I find a replacement.

Bought this vacuum to replace my 10 yr old Shark. Do not like this vacuum at all I am going out today to buy a new vacuum. To engage the power head the handle has to parallel with the floor which puts you in an awkward position. It is heavy and hard to use

This is the 2nd Shark product I have purchased. It had been so long since I had one before and the Consumer Reports were good so I gave it a shot again. Live and learn. It runs but no suction any longer. Do yourself a favor and do not buy Shark products.

I love this vacuum. My parents suggested I buy a Shark vacuum when I moved into my new home after my old one died. This thing is the BEST. I actually feel like it’s getting the dust off of our carpet in comparison to our old one. I’ve had if for several months now and hoping it lasts a long time! Would buy again.

Really cleans!
My first shark vacuum cleaner and was surprised at how powerful the suction was. Was no problem assembling the unit and the electrical cord is long enough. The swivel head is interesting and you can make some fu corner turns. Only thing I’m not too happy about is the having to unsnap two clips to dump the hopper. I like one button to push. Glad the noise wasn’t an issue too. All in all I’m very happy with the shark NV Navigator!

Battery problem. Also, light weight but not sturdy.
Bought because it lays pretty flat. Good for getting under beds. However, the battery won’t hold a charge for more than 15 minutes. The link to customer service on the Amazon your orders page does not work.

Do you like being hit in the head or side?
I literally just stopped what I was doing to write an honest review for this little monster. I’ve owned a super expensive shark before and it broke (I was sad). Unfortunately I didn’t have the money to buy another expensive one so I thought what the heck, let’s get this $100 beauty and hope for the best. Positives: box makes a great robot costume for small children! Also, it really does have good suction, truly. Negatives: if you are using the hose itself with the attachments, the hose is so rigid and inflexible that you will literally crack yourself in the head 1 million times or it’ll make itself fall over on repeat. Maybe it has antigravity? Overall, it was $100 what should I have expected? Using the attachment makes me want to throw it in the driveway and run it over.

Does not lower to allow sweeping under beds
First of all, it has great suction. I like the lift away feature. Here are my issues: 1. When in lift away mode, the brush roller does not work. it is suction only. 2. The cord is located on the bottom which is a constant tripping issue. 3. When in lift away mode, the base and handle are so high that as you push it under the bed to clean, the base does not lay flat but rises off the floor. Poor design feature. This is my second Shark vacuum. Although the first had the cord issues, it did not have the other two issues. I am disappointed.

Not good for long fiber rugs
I bought this vacuum for my rug, thinking it would actually work. However, it does not pick up anything. It is good for other surfaces though, just not the rug. It also is impossible to get corners with the attachments that they have due to how short the hose is. You practically have to carry it around like a bag. Not convenient at all.

Good and bad….
Works really well. Cleans carpet way better than the stick vacuums. A few things I can’t stand: the cord is too short. Constantly unplugging and re plugging in. My house isn’t that big so it’s really annoying. The cord on my shark rocket is longer. Also didn’t come with all the attachments you get with the rockets. Specifically doesn’t come with a round brush tip to get cobwebs or dust on baseboards. Also heavy and awkward when trying to hand vacuum steps or other areas you can’t reach when pushing it upright.

The attachments fall off easily. My family used it with me reviews for a couple weeks. I used it for 15 minutes and boxed it up to return. Piece of garbage.

I have a different version but bought this for my Mother when hers broke. After three weeks of lugging mine over, she was sold even thought she likes canister vacuums. Her rugs looked great and the air quality was so much better. I dropped a star because the hose extender to do edges or ceilings stretches about 2 feet. You have to lift the entire unit to get to the ceiling webs and its a tiresome event, especially for an older person. If you forget this, you just keep stopping to pick the entire unit up from the floor. It falls over. Suction rocks though!

Only lasted 2 years
Although I usually love Shark products, this vacuum stopped working and we only had it for two years. It worked fine but it is heavy and stairs were a pain. I’m mostly disappointed that it only lasted 2 years. What a waste.

Love this vacuum
So I waited a while to give a review so I could used the vacuum more than once. This is the best vacuum I’ve ever owned. The suction is great, it’s not too loud. I love how the wheels detached so I can sweep my stairs without having to lug the whole vacuum around. Reading the other reviews I do agree that the cord is too short. I have to unplug and plug it into another outlet when I’m vacuuming the back half of my apartment. But the quality of the vacuum makes up for that. Nothing an extension cord can’t fix. The double clips on the side of the dust collector are annoying but like I said the quality makes up for those inconveniences. Love this vacuum!
