This is my third shark vacuum. I am impressed by the suction power of this vacuum. However, it is very difficult to push on my longer carpet. I have adjusted the suction power to the lowest setting and still struggle. It also pushes around object that’s aren’t imbedded into the carpet. It won’t pick up cheerios, Barbie shoes, raisins or items of similar size. Because of that I would not recommend it to anyone with children.

Wow! Amazing suction! I owned an Eufy robot vac for 4 years until it finally just ceased to charge. I thought it was doing a good job, until I used this vacuum. I was shocked by the amount of dirt, cat hair (I own 1 short-haired cat), and just yuck that was buried in my carpet. Shocked! The cannister filled completely, and the 2nd time I vacuumed it filled again! I suffer from severe arthritis, so the only issue I have is with the weight, but I knew that going in. Its worth it. It’s also smaller than the Eureka I owned before the Eufy. I love that it’s bagless, and it’s super simple to assemble. My carpets look great for the first time in years!

I’m in this horrible situation of being forced into buying a vacuum because my husband who happens to own TWO shop vacs decided it was more convenient to use the inside vacuum and shorted my diligent little Bissell out. Don’t waste your time with this vacuum. It’s more fussy than a teenager. The suction is ok but the hose from the head of the vacuum to the body comes out with use. Do you have any short brushed rugs?? Forget about it!!! You’re gonna jerk your arm out of the socket trying to vacuum them. No person ever appreciated a green or red light on a vacuum head telling them they can or can’t vacuum a surface.

I decided to wait a while before leaving a review on this, and it’s my first ever review too. I delayed because I didn’t want to overreact to a good new product, but after enough use of it, I think there’s enough sample size of use to say that this product is as advertised: it’s durability, flexibility, and ease of use are outstanding performance features. Don’t Buy this Vacuum
I bought the Shark NV 360 V5 Vacuum. The suction of the vacuum was so strong that it seemed that if I continued to use it, I would have made holes in my carpet. The suction release was not working, and I was unable to adjust the vacuum to an acceptable pull. Although the vacuum has a 2 year warranty, a Shark representative said that I had missed the one month deadline, by a week, for getting it back. It’s a special clause that supersedes the actual warranty. In other words too bad so had for me. Amazon agreed to honor the factory warranty that came with the vacuum. Also the vacuum has a small base and it kept tipping over. It was poorly designed. Thank you Amazon for saving the day. My next vacuum won’t be Shark. Buyer beware!

Best Vacuum EVER
Easy to assemble, easy to use. Works VERY well. I love being able to take it apart to vacuum the stairs. Big enough to vacuum quickly, but small enough to fit in tight spaces. I’ve changed brand loyalty because this is the best vacuum I’ve ever had.

It did have LED lights on the front corners, which was awesome. This new model does not, which is unacceptable in 2024 in my opinion. That feature should be standard & a staple, especially on a $200 model. No excuses.

Have been using this vacuum for almost a year. I complain every time I use it. The cord is too short so I’m constantly needing to stop and re start. Also the dirt canister is very poorly designed. The inner channel design is narrow so dust, dirt, dog hair gets stuck – this means you have to work at removing the dirt probably by pulling it out with your fingers. The suction is good.

Ok for the money
I wanted to love this vacuum. I’d read hundreds of reviews and finally settled in this one. Pros- suction. It’s powerful on carpet. It’s easy to dump and it’s pretty lightweight. Cons- I don’t love the job it does on my hardwood floors. I feel it doesn’t pick up as well as it should. The cord is at a weird spot for me. I’m constantly stepping on it or over it. The hose is stiff and short when using the attachments. Overall, it’s just ok.

I had a shark that I loved. Got from Meijer a few years ago but do not know the model. Purchased this one and have used only once. It’s fine. The suction is great! Its features seem a bit cheap. The dust canister has lock latches on the side as well as the push button to unlock to empty dust canister. Seems silly but it’s annoying to have to unlatch both sides and push a button to get the canister off. The hose latch is awkward to push and pull off at the same time. I threw away my attachments and wish I hadn’t. This comes with a short skinny nozzle and a small felt pad attachment. No bristle brush and the felt pad attachment is very small and awkward to get full suction with. Really miss the bristle brush. The swivel seems to lean to the right. Not sure if because hose attachment is on that side but it doesn’t go under cabinets well on the right side. The up side, the suction! On my rugs I had to almost vacuum 2 handed! It was powerful! All in all. I would not buy this again. I miss my features on the older model.

Returned after 1 day
I had a shark for about six years that I absolutely loved. I no longer can find it. I don’t think they make it anymore so I tried to find something that was similar. This was not it. I returned this vacuum after one day less than a day actually. You see the little hose that attaches from the main part of the vacuum to the rollers? Detached EVERY time I would turn a corner. It’s just extremely cheaply made and not that powerful. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this vacuum. I’m giving it 2 stars simply because it’s a shark and was easy to put together but don’t do this to yourself.

I’m 83 yrs old, I live in a one bdrm apartment with 2 shedding cats and ‘light housekeeping’ is included in my rent. I could not believe the amount of cat hair and dust this baby sucked out of my carpet AFTER the housekeeper vacuumed and left. It’s as easy to assemble as advertised and slid easily into a closet. If I could fix one thing I’d really like a longer flexible tube, or a longer extension from the handle so I don’t have to bend over for corners and edges. Other than that I highly recommend this! Love it!

I purchased this for the separate pet cleaning tools which I was told were not included with this particular model making the lift off canister almost useless. The regular vacuuming is quite strong but the vacuum head is very small and lightweight plastic which doesn’t bode well for durability. It also doesn’t look like the roller will be able to be removed for cleaning. Overall I’m very disappointed in the difference between the advertised information and what I actually received.

bought vacuum on amazon ( Thank Goodness as I could return it). Came quickly. Assembled easily. Very heavy. After a couple of sweeps on my carpet, the carpet brush stopped spinning and the carpet brush light went from green to red. If I turned the vacuum off and immediately restarted it, I could take 2 more sweeps and the same thing would happen. I couldn’t even vacuum one area rug. I took it back apart, washed out the cannister ( which admittedly had quite a bit of dirt in it), and repackaged it with some effort. My 23 yr old son tried it for me as well and the same thing happened to him. Just wouldn’t work.

No light kit
Only had the vacuum a couple of days it seems to work well. However, I was disappointed. it mentions in two places, and one of the main reasons I purchased this model, it that it says the light kit is included. Well, its not. Not only is there no light kit included, but I can’t even find that a light kit for this vacuum exists to purchase separately. If that’s important to you, buyer beware.

I just got my vacuum so I’ve only used it once. So far it works great. If that changes I will try to update this review. The vacuum came in 4 major pieces and was very easy to put together and it looks great, seems sturdy. You must wash the 3 filter pieces regularly, like every 2 wks. They are very easy to get to, remove, and put it back in once dried. There is a HEPA filter and 2 pre-motor filters, one is foam & one is felt. Just run under water until water runs clear, the filters may stain over time but that’s normal. Let air dry for 24 hrs before putting it back in the vacuum. I called the Shark cust svc to find out info about the warranty. First, all of the parts in the base part (which is called the floor nozzle) they get regular wear & tear and are that is expected to happen and is no fault of Shark so they are not covered by warranty. Second, you cannot unscrew and open the floor nozzle up to access and the belts or revolving floor brush. The screws are security screws and therefore they will show if you opened it and Shark will VOID YOUR WARRANTY if this happens. I asked them if I only had wear & tear use on the vacuum and didn’t abuse it and the belt(s), rotating floor brush or any other part within the floor nozzle broke just through regular use and needed to be replaced how would that happen? I wondered because if they don’t cover them under warranty and do not allow us to replace them ourselves because they will void our warranty if they see we opened the base how does it get fixed? Are there authorized repair shops I can take it to? Oddly, they said no there are no authorized repair shops. In the case of non warrantied parts in the floor nozzle needing to be replaced, they don’t replace them. They stated that they themselves don’t open the floor nozzle to replace these parts and the solution they use is to replace the entire floor nozzle because it is policy that they cannot open the floor nozzle after it is closed during manufacturing! I found this so odd that I felt the need to repeat back to them a summary of what they told me. I asked the agent “So if a $10 belt needs to be replaced, you just replace the $50-100 floor nozzle instead because you the floor nozzle is not allowed to be opened by anyone?! The agent replied that I was correct. I guess I can’t be too upset how they fix the problem. The point is they can fix it and that’s all I ask. They do require that you take proper maintenance at all times by cleaning the filters and turning the vacuum over so you can see the floor brush under the floor nozzle so that you can clean the brush, including using scissors to cut any hair wrapped tightly around the brush. Hope this helps!

Powerful and Versatile!
I’ve had a Shark vacuum before and really liked it. When the time came to replace another brand, I went back to Shark because I knew the quality would be good. I was not disappointed! It’s hard to beat these vacuums for the money. They are dependable, easy to maneuver, and provide excellent suction across a variety of floors. I love the way I can detach it to use on our stairs. And with 4 cats, it does an awesome job of cleaning up cat hair. Highly recommend!

Only worked about 2 months
Worked very well when I 1st bought it. Bought this guy April 4th 2024 and it already doesn’t work. I can hear the engine running, the wheel spins, I cleaned all the tube’s with pipe cleaners, but no suction. Only used to clean a small area of carpet once or twice a week. Didn’t last 3 months.

Works like the Dyson at a fraction of the price . . .
Had a Dyson for 20 years. Needed a new vacuum, but wasn’t keen on spending big $$$ for a new Dyson. Saw this model at Costco, came home, read the Amazon reviews and bought it. Works as well or better than the Dyson. The canister isn’t as large as the Dyson, but so what? Just empty the canister a bit more frequently (like after vacuuming the house over the course of several days, rather than a week with the Dyson). Recommend this vacuum.

Leaks dust
This picks up like I’ve never seen before! I thought my carpets were clean as I vacuum twice a week. I cannot believe what it picked up! However, there is dust on the outside of the canister, the canister is bulky and because of the bottom release being Leo long when released, the debri goes everywhere, even outside the trash basket. Then you have to clean the dust off of the floor and bin. The carpet dirt also gets jammed inThe canister so you have to stick your hand in it to pull out the debri, then wash your hands. The canister and filters are easy to rinse out and replace. The front is easy maneuvering for small areas. The canister is so large it will not fit a good distance under furniture.

Incredibly flawed design
The extension wand does not release unless the cord is totally unwound. Nothing in the instructions about this. Googled the problem and found that hundreds have had the same experience and that customer support is also clueless. Works fine once the cord is totally unwound…easy fix so you have to wonder why Shark doesn’t revise the instructions or why customer support doesn’t inform customers.

Picks up LOTS of dog hair.
I have two inside rotten dogs that shed more hair than a barber shop sees! I have had several “DOG HAIR SPECIAL” Vaccums that promised to remove dog hair. Well they work semi sort of, were a pain to empty and even harder to clean! This thing picks up ALL the dog hair and is super easy to empty and clean. Only complaint I have is the hose is to short and way to stiff. Unit works great on carpet AND hard wood floors. Best unit I have had for cleaning up after two spoiled Rotten-Wylers. Light, easy to manuver and small foot print allows it be hidden in a closet.

Motor burned out less than a year old
We loved our first shark so got this as a replacement. Not as many nice features, roller didn’t easily come off for cleaning. Motor burned out June 2024, we got it July 2023.
