It’s great when it wants to work
I bought this in December ‘23 and it was working fine however as of late I feel like I maintenance it more than it actually does its job. The vacuum likes to randomly work and function properly and then other times it sits in the dock with the red information light that can mean a million different things. (The manual doesn’t tell you anything useful on what this particular light means and you’ll have to go on Google). I take it apart and clean it (however there isn’t much to clean), I reboot the robot, I restart my router, I make sure there’s nothing in the actual dock itself that may be causing trouble to no avail. It’s like the vacuum has a mind of its own and chooses (sometimes the most inconvenient time) when to work if it feels like it. The product is quite pricey for it to function this way and I’m at a loss on what to do at this point. When it works it’s amazing at picking up annoying crumbs that get on the floor and vacuums up the carpeted areas very well. When I use an actual vacuum on my cleaning day I hardly pick up anything. That’s how well this robot vacuum works and helps.

I was running it twice a week and shocked how much it picked up. 2 small dogs apparently shed a lot on the floor plus the dust from this dry sandy area. It cleans a fairly large area so has to recharge twice but that’s ok. My back is relieved not to have to push a vacuumer around most of the house.

Returned Shark product yesterday but have not had a response for our refund.
After speakig with a Shark person we found that this vaccum had been used and we ordered a new one. It would not suck up things off the floor and it sent a message it could not recharge to chech to make sure it was hooked up, This is our first time of purchasing this and so we returned this item and I marked on the inside box and the outside box that it should go back to shark because it did not workl So what I need to know is why have I not received a confirmation that you received this product back since we returned it yesterday. Great purchase. Sometimes it seems like this vacuum is going to miss a spot however every time, I’ve let it just do its things and always notice that it’s gotten everything that it should. One thing though is that when I first made this purchase, halfway through cleaning it would self-empty and then pick up where it left at. Now I’ve been noticing that it tends to start back at square one after self-emptying. Will have to conduct more runs and really observe it next time. Could use more suction on carpet.

Upkeep on vacuuming relieves stress!
The media could not be loaded. Easy to set up. Had to remap only once because it missed my bedroom down the hall, while setting up initial map. As quiet as any vac could be! I have all hard floors and a couple area rugs. I swept out under low furniture, so it could grab the dust and rolling pet hair LOL. I am amazed how it went thru every room. It finds its way back to base… notice the 2 chairs in video that got in the way, but it soon was able to exit the room. I had pet hair under a bed, clogged up in the dirt cup port. It told me to clean it out… so easy to get at. I highly recommend commend this product. I also bought their air purifier at the same time and the filter lasts forever on it…money saving.

The Navigation is great, but hair pick up is…. lacking.
I have had this for a few weeks now. It is a good vacuum in the sense that it navigates well through the house. Now, I know having a husky makes this probably an arduous task but, my issue is that it just leaves little clumps of hair all around the house that I then have to go and pick up. I just wish the suction was better. The little grabby spinny arms don’t really seem to do all that much, they seem a little weak, and the roller just can’t pick it up. It’s fine, but that is just about it.

Doesn’t just run into stuff!
I replaced an older model Shark robot vacuum that essentially just rolled around and bumped into stuff. Was constantly getting lost and stuck and I was tired of playing “Find Sharky” every day when I got home from work. I got this one at half price during a Christmas sale or something and have been totally impressed with it so far. I mapped out my 1100 sq ft condo in about 30 minutes and have only made a few minor adjustments since. The only time this gets stuck is if I accidentally lock it into a room or someone messes with it. Other than that, it always ends up back on its base and ready for the next day. I would estimate it picks up 95% of the stuff on my floors and I haven’t found any places it doesn’t go. I wish it had a camera and the ability to drive it around from my iPhone while at work, but that’s just me dreaming!

Lifesaver with pet hair
I mainly bought this to help keep up with dog hair on my main floor hardwood. As people have said, give it a few runs to properly map your space. I have used it now about 8 times, and it’s doing a great job! Tested it out by running last night, then swiffering today. 😮 Nothing on the swiffer sheet! Impressed so far!!

I have a small but very clean apartment. I’ve run the vac 3 times in a week to test mapping and to complete a couple cleanings. I’m surprised at the amount of dust etc this unit finds on my clean floors. I have bad allergies to pollen and dust, trees, grass, weeds; this is doing a good job keeping that in check. It’s quieter than I was led to believe. ONLY FOUR STARS BECAUSE: The app leaves much to be desired. I’ve had to remap once already and will need to do it again. Biggest issue I have is creating “no go” zones – they seem to be set with a minimum size that is far too big for the spots I’m marking off. I have to give up a couple feet when I only need to mark one foot. The Lidar comes up with some mangy looking maps, too. Second try, I had to look at the space marked off to make sense of the orientation of the room compared to the mapping. Working on keeping it from climbing into low-lying things – it’s like having a toddler or an untrained puppy, climbing into my entertainment center and some low lying storage spots. I “hid” a couple areas that it ignored during mapping but it went “there” anyway during cleaning. The app, fortunately, is something I expect will get better with software upgrades.

I managed to score this on sale and I am so happy I did! Easy to set up, app is easy to use and it is so nice to come home every day to a floor that doesn’t have dirt and dust layered on it. Our flooring has no carpet, in the main area of the house, so we just make sure nothing is left for it to get stuck on and it gets cleaned every day of the week. No issues with it not being to register obstructions. Initial mapping sequence took about 45 minutes and daily cleaning takes about the same. Setting up individual rooms in the app is easy and designating areas that are off-limits works fine. Still trying to figure out the commands for Alexa to be able to do everything but so far basic commands of telling it to clean and the return to the dock work fine. Really happy with this purchase.

We have 2 dogs and a cat, I am amazed at the amount of animal hair this vacuum picks up every time.

Should be a better vacuum for that price
The vacuum does not get debris against walls/baseboards, so I have to follow up every cleaning with a swiffer or broom to clean up the perimeters. Randomly in the middle of the night I’ll get a notification that the vacuum is obstructed, even tho it’s stationary on the dock. Not worth the price.

It’s lowkey dumb
For the price, I cannot tell it where to go or what room to clean on schedule. It has an option to clean a specific room, but it always gets stuck and doesn’t come off the dock. The only thing I like is the schedule and the clean. I dislike it has to have light. I like the self emptying. It always has some random error. And I feel the “on sale” price was just marked up to fake a sale

Good Upgrade
Got this as an upgrade to a gifted first tier Shark robot vacuum that didn’t have the 45 day container. Not having the container made having to constantly empty the robot a daily issue if not every two days which became annoying after a while even though the convenience was great. This solved that problem and have had no issues save for the occasional is grabbed a piece of paper that locked it up which is rare. Good buy overall.

Error 18
We have four small dogs who leave a lot of fur. Vaccum did 3 good runs and ended up jammed, error 18 something about wheel. Tried diagnosing and watching videos and no results. Would run for 3 minutes and jam up again. If you have no pets then this might be good purchase

Finally someone got it right
Have had multiple robot vacuums, and they all had been terrible. Lucky to even try to get a pattern to clean, far less actually get up hair and dirt. And we just have wood and tile floors. Well, decided to try the shark, and glad we did. It gets up almost all of the dog hair and sand off the floors, and that is only on normal suction, have not even had to go to the high setting. Does the floors in a grid pattern, and gets the entire floor. The only complaint, if it can be one, is to make sure you empty the canister regularly as it picks up lots of dirt and fills up fast.

Wouldn’t buy it again without some changes
The vacuum itself is great. I love the self-emptying, and it does a great job on hard floors and short rugs. It does an okay job on carpet with pet hair, but that’s to be expected. What I really don’t like about the vacuum is 2 things: 1: It doesn’t dodge ANYTHING. It’s supposed to be great at detecting obstacles but it absolutely does not, so if we do ever have pet messes or stuff laying around, it’ll just run right over it and potentially get stuck or dirty. 2: There is no option for it to automatically run on the “matrix clean” setting (or the grid-like setting where it has a specific pattern to follow to make sure every inch is covered). I can send it to do the matrix clean for each individual room (literally one room at a time which is annoying) but I can’t schedule or send it to matrix clean the entire house. When it’s on an automatic schedule, or even if I just hit the “clean” button to have it go through the entire house, it has no specific pattern. It’ll miss entire sections of multiple rooms. I was gone for a week on vacation and had it set to vacuum every single day. I came back to dirt in random places all throughout the house because it just totally missed some sections. I spent good money on this so this is very frustrating. I’ve been using it for multiple months now trying to figure out if I’m missing something, but I think that’s just how it’s set up. I hope that Shark adjusts their software to allow for an entire home matrix cleaning option.

Cleans in straight lines
This vacuum cleans in straight lines, so it doesn’t miss spots. When it is completed, you can tell your carpets have been vacuumed. It works just as good on all floor types. I would recommend it. Also, the self-emptying is definitely a plus!

WOW Product!!!
It does an EXCELLENT job of cleaning both my carpet and wood floors of debris. I was amazed at the cleaning capability. It leaves beautiful, even vacuum marks in my carpet.

Battery did not last but four months.
The battery did not last but four months. I had a irobot for four years and never replace battery. But with this one i had to order a battery after only four months

started with problems
The media could not be loaded. This shark robot started with problems. For about a month now I have had a strange noise. At first I thought he had picked up something that got stuck in his wheels, but as the days went by the noise grew until it became unbearable. Now I will have to contact the manufacturer and see if the warranty covers this problem. I bought it in July 2023 and this started in January 2024

Best Vac EVER! I call her Rosie the maid. She’s awesome! My carpets and floors never looked so clean. I would highly recommend this! I will buy another but this vac is superb! Best purchase ever! Does a great job getting up the hair
Needed something to keep our house from being flood with dog hair. I use it daily and is programmed to go when everyone is at work and school. Works perfectly to keep the hair from building up. Unfortunately if it does not run daily and the hair builds up in the carpet, it struggles to clean the areas. It could use some more suction power. The base reservoir that the robot dumps into has to be emptied daily due to the amount of hair from our dogs. If you have no pets, I am sure you can go a couple weeks without emptying the bin.

I’ve been using the Shark vac for a few months now and I love it. It does great picking up cat hair and it does a good job on my hardwood floors. Wish it could get into corners but can’t have everything. Set up was fairly easy and it took about 2 hours total to map the whole house.

Overall like using this so far. It is easy to use the app. Only downside seems to be it is definitely louder than I thought it would be. It is hard to hear the tv or have a conversation while it is running.

Color Me Impressed
I have a German Shepherd, so hair is life. I’ve had this thing running every day for the last month and when I took to the carpeted part of my house with my dyson pet vac I only emptied the bin 4 times compared to 8-10 times before I had this little doo-dad. I never expected it to do a good a job as it does with carpet. Obviously , hard floors it does perfectly. One thing buyers with pets should note. The 60 day bin will not hold 60 days of vacuums. Pet hair fluffs up in the bin and it will ask you to empty it in 5-7 days of cleaning.

Problems with mapping and programming
I does an okay job vacuuming, but it has never completed a full map of our rooms, and it won’t recognize programming for specific identities rooms.
