Balancing the Scales: The Pros and Cons of the Product
The Braava Jet M6 robot mop and vacuum bundle seems to have a few positive aspects worth mentioning. A customer who had recently undergone shoulder surgery praised the product, stating that it was a “life saver,” indicating that the vacuum and mop function as expected and provide a significant convenience factor for individuals with limited mobility (Joe Covey). Another customer found that the vacuum performed exceptionally well, highlighting its “terrific” cleaning power and its ability to effectively navigate the layout of their home, cleaning in straight lines and reaching corners effectively (Yar Mosnar). The customer also expressed satisfaction with the map recognition capability of the vacuum. The capability of the Roomba s9 vacuum to thoroughly clean surfaces and leave hardwood floors “nice and shiny” has been mentioned, indicating its effective performance on different floor types (Amazon Customer). Furthermore, another user was pleased with the product’s absorption and cleaning capacity, providing a strong endorsement of its fundamental purpose (Olga E.).
Despite the positive points, there are significant cons reported by customers that overshadow the benefits. One of the most common complaints concerns the product’s durability and longevity. Several users have reported that the product stopped working after just over a year, with one customer frustrated that the Wi-Fi function ceased to work, rendering mapping and auto-start features useless (Kelly). In another instance, the small button that releases the pad broke and Roomba would not replace the part, suggesting a lack of support for repairs (DWA Construction Co.).
Users have also reported significant issues with the product’s mapping and navigation capabilities. Descriptions such as “Garbage technology” (Rom) and “Incapable of discovery and cleaning” (jrg) indicate that the robots often get lost, stuck, or fail to properly map the area. One customer detailed the vacuum’s tendency to “eat appliance cords” and damage furniture, which points to a lack of sophisticated obstacle avoidance (Joe.g).
Technical issues seem to be a recurring theme, with one user unable to use the product due to a loose plug that would not stay connected, rendering the device non-operational (Carlos Vasquez). Other reviews highlighted frequent error messages, such as the “Bin Error,” which occurs without any apparent reason and disrupts cleaning (Amazon Customer). The high cost of replacement parts and the need for frequent replacements have also been a point of dissatisfaction (Michael D. Murphy).
Customer service experiences have largely been negative, with reports of unhelpful support and extended periods without resolution (HPthatsME). Users also lamented the need for additional purchases to fully utilize the mop’s features (Amazon Customer), and some have suggested that the products are overpriced for the level of functionality they offer (FranCarv, Amazon Customer).
Overall, the feedback indicates that while the Roomba s9 and Braava Jet M6 bundle has the potential to offer convenience and effective cleaning, the numerous issues related to durability, navigation, technical glitches, and customer service may not justify the investment for many consumers.

People find the following negative one quite helpful. Reviewed in the United States on November 27, 2023 by Kelly, titled “Was good, but only lasted 1 year 3 months.”
The mop still works great. I highly recommend it. The vacuum stopped working after a year and 3 months. It did a good job while it lasted. The WiFi will not work now, so it doesn’t map or follow a map. It will not auto-start either. If you want a temporary solution that will last at least a year, then it was great while it lasted. It is very noisy, so don’t expect to run it while you are at home.

Don’t buy unless you want to spend a fortune in replacing parts
The vacuum itself works pretty good there are issues that cause high cost of replacement parts. Dog fur gets stuck in the inside of the rollerblades and requires frequent taking apart and cleaning. The wheel design is absolutely ridiculous! The tread wears down pretty quickly and there’s no way to change just the tread. You have to change the entire wheel module. And for an extra layer of fun when you go to order said wheel modules they’re out of stock for weeks. I’m on my second replacement in 3 years at approximately $45 a wheel. The product is essentially useless when the wheel tread is worn down because it won’t dock and it just gets stuck. Then we have the problem of the bin sensors always saying they need to be cleaned. Very irritating because when you look they appear completely clean. It occasionally has issues with mapping and will fail to go into certain rooms especially if you don’t have a completely square area. There’s a lot of room for improvement on this model.

POOR QUALITY…ISSUES FROM THE START!
I purchased this vacuum for $1000…I’ve had it for 2 years now and have already needed to replace the vacuum after 6 months. Now the base is on the fritz and I Robot wants me to purchase a new base for $250. Customer service was NOT helpful in their response, running me through a ridiculous obstacle course of troubleshooting issues, which took a couple of hours of my time, with no adequate solution to be had…other than to purchase an new base for $250. UNBELIEVABLE!

Breaks right after your warranty expires.
Purchased this in November 2022 for Christmas 2022. We used the mop for a year and it gave us a message that it couldn’t connect in February 2024. We contact iRobot support and they tell us it’s broken and oh warranty has expired but we can give you a $75 voucher off one on our website another one which was still more expensive than just buying it off amazon. Now it’s July 2024 and the same thing has happened with the vacuum. It says can not connect and nothing will fix it. Of course warranty is gone so nothing to do about it. If you’re okay with paying $1000 for a little over a year of these machines working (so the warranty is JUST out of date), go for it. For us, this has been a total scam.

ZERO STARS: Failed after a year and a half
After a year and a half owning this duo, the brava m6 has failed due to a software issue that cannot be resolved. I have spent about 2 hours on the phone with iRobot, and my options are to get a 20% coupon to a new machine or send it in for a refund. Terrible customer service, terrible machine.

This has been a total waste of money. it keeps getting stuck “error 9” “tap the bumber then press clean”

Not worth the money, lasted a bit over a year with lots of issues. Frequent error messages.
I had to troubleshoot that thing every week! After a little bit more than a year it is not running at all. With a price tag of over $1.000 this thing cost me about $100 a month! Even the old Roomba S6 was better than this one. Side brushes last 1 week, main brushes (all original parts, $75 a set!) last about 3 weeks. Filter errors almost on a daily basis… and it is loud! No more iRobot for me, I’ll buy now from a different brand.

Hands off does not get stuck, or dead battery
The media could not be loaded. Bought the top of the line IRobot mop and vac. Totally useless. Out of the 20 attempts to use it complete cleaning once. Got stuck every other time or did not dock on its own to recharge. Bought the RoboRock and could not be happier. Cleans thoroughly without getting stuck. Returns to the dock to steam clean the mop. Avoids obstacles. The only problem was a piece of paper was sucked in. It has remote control so you can guide it to a specific spot. A built in camera makes it very easy to locate. Avoids pets and even has a setting to locate pets. With almost 5,000′ of hardwood it works better than the cleaning ladies. There is a tank for a cleaning solution which works great, although you can use just water. The first IRobot I received did not work and they sent another incomplete robot so I could change the head. Not. Big deal but could be for some people. I can’t say enough good about the Roborock. Spending $1,300 for a useless machine or $1,900 for a great machine. Your choice.

Do not buy the Warehouse deal version – second one delivered was defect
Amazon are you kidding me! I ordered this item via Amazon warehouse deals. Not once, but twice. The first one was only going in circles after 3 weeks, the second one did not even charge on day 1. on the website that item was labeled: like new. I would call it defect – and nothing else. Far away from being new. In the past you could trust that Amazon warehouse deals are as described. Now it seems they do not even verify if the item is still working. Good bye Amazon Warehouse deals. Good Bye Amazon – not for good!

Do Not Buy Essential Parts Discontinued
Do not buy this product. The wheels wear out in normal use. Apparently they used to sell wheel assemblies as replacement parts. They are discontinued. iRobot will try to repair the unit if you send it back and pay 125 plus tax for a repair. The unit is essentially useless without the replacement parts. I own three iRobot products but will never buy from them again. On a side note: I believe I can buy an aftermarket replacement tire to finagle onto the wheels and keep the device functional but no help from iRobot. Again do not buy this product or any other from this company.

WORTH EVERY PENNY!
We are planning our wedding and my fiancé wasn’t the happiest when he found out I spent over $1k on a vacuum… but 2 days after we started using it, he said it was worth every penny!!!! iRobot truly outdid themselves with this model! We have a German Shepherd in the middle of the worst shedding season she’s ever had… plus a few rainy days that naturally led to some dirt/mud getting tracked in. I was cleaning like crazy! Now, with the adjustable suction power and cleaning liquid used for each job, we don’t have to spend time vacuuming and mopping over and over again! After a week, I don’t know how we didn’t lose our minds without it! Just take a look at my floor!! Do you see any dirt or dog hair??? This vacuum/mop combo is amazing!!!

Buyer beware!!! Total piece of junk. Terrible customer service!
Wow! Total disappointment! Before this Combo J9+ I had an i series vacuum and m mop that were great. I wanted something new and the combo unit looks great. I loved the thought of 1 device. This Combo j9+ has been nothing but a headache. Probably 33% if the jobs end with errors. I’m on my 3rd base and 2nd robot. This pair now leaks and has ruined the floor under the base. Customer service has been a nightmare and everything is long and drawn out to get help and things done. I wish I had never bought this! EDIT: They are now sending me out another robot and base… Now I have to program it all again. 🙁

Not impressed for the price
I’ve used roombas before and was looking forward to this combo model. When it works – it’s just fine. No complaints on the actual cleaning element. When it comes to product support, battery issues, connectivity and the like – maybe look elsewhere. I was well within the 30 day warranty window when I started seeing errors c510 and c520 (network connectivity). I am educated in the intractices of home networking and computer security, so figuring out the human error is pretty straightforward. For giggles, I moved the base unit essentially next to the home wi-fi router and performed the various resets (which do not go smoothly). Contacting tech support was fine at first, until I encountered other errors – such as filling the tank or charging. The new tech informed me: “If I have misunderstood the issue please explain the problem. I certainly may be missing something as the robot data is showing no persistent problem at all. There are one or two errors but nothing persistent.”…. “I have checked the robot and I can see that the robot had several errors like that last week. I can see both C510 and C520. However, I do not see any of those errors this week” So the unit has no problem phoning home to Roomba IT support what issues it’s encountering, but if your technical issues do not meet a undefined threshold for “persistent” – don’t expect much beyond “turn it off and back on” or “move the base closer to your wifi”. Now I’m just over 60 days from purchase and the roomba can find its way to the charging station, but it can’t seem to figure out how to charge (yes I cleaned the contacts on the roomba and base) – until I adjust it manually in the base. Reading other reviews online about battery issues (that are resolved by DIY jobs), it’s almost like the helpdesk’s objective is to delay tickets until the 30 day warranty has passed.

Buyer beware
When it works does a great job at vacuuming and mopping. The problem is the clean base. I had to have the 1st clean base replace by irobot. It would not empty the been or fill the water tank. The new clean base will sometimes empty the bin. It also spills the water on the floor making a big mess. At this time I have asked for a refund from Amazon. This has been a chore in itself

Inferior product, lasts less than 2 years.
Purchased in Oct 2022, complete fail and trashed June 2024. Actually had problems from almost the beginning. Had to hard reboot about 6 months after purchase, and never worked right again. Took it to get repaired and it was diagnosed, by iRobot, as unfixable.

How to control him
I love Robie, but lately he seems to be a little out of control. I ask him to clean the kitchen and main hallway. He has cleaned the dining room 3 times, living room about 3 times. I am not technically enough to change anything to control him. Maybe my niece can correct what’s wrong with him.

Unacceptable Product Lifespan and Customer Service for iRobot Roomba s9+
The media could not be loaded. I am writing this review to express my profound disappointment with both the Roomba s9+ and the subsequent customer service I received. After just 18 months of use, my Roomba s9+ has succumbed to a bumper error, rendering it inoperative. This is far below the standard of quality and longevity one would expect from a premium product. Moreover, the customer service response was equally disheartening. Offering a mere $100 voucher for a product that commands a premium price point is not only inadequate, it’s insulting. It suggests a lack of confidence in the product’s durability and a disregard for customer satisfaction. In addition, I have multiple ( (5) units from this company, and loyalty should stand for something. Additionally, the refusal to allow me to speak with a supervisor is a clear evasion of accountability. It prevents me from discussing the issue with someone who has the authority to address the situation appropriately and suggests a systemic issue within their customer service protocol. A company of their stature should stand behind its products and be willing to engage with customers, especially when the product fails prematurely. I expected more from iRobot, and I am left questioning whether your products and customer service policies reflect the values of excellence and customer commitment that you claim to uphold. Do not buy this product!

Discontinued- DO NOT BUY
I bought this a little over a year ago. About a week ago one of the wheel modules went out, so I got on the website to replace it. The part said unavailable, contact customer service. So I contact them, and they said it’s out of warranty, they can’t give me another one. I explained I wasn’t expecting to be given one, just let me purchase one, they were listed at just under $40 on their website. I was told that the product has been discontinued and they aren’t making any more parts for it. But I could get one of their retailer sites & purchase a replacement part for $180. Horrible customer service. I’ll never purchase another iRobot product.

Way to LOUD!
We have had multiple Roombas in the past and haved loved them. This unit is very loud. Much louder than older units. Also , the box sent had the security guard opened and set guide was not in box. There were no codes to scan for Bluetooth. Finally, I assumed that this high-end product would avoid cords socks etc as less expensive units do. It does not avoid these The description does not say that it has this avoidance technology. I have already returned the unit after one use

WORST system I’ve ever owned
I am now on my THIRD roomba since purchasing this particular item. I have had to do numerous warranty exchanges to get this thing to work. It SUCKS. It doesn’t work, has a life span of maybe 3 months before it starts going to crap and not working. The sensors are constantly messing up, it’ll get stuck in the middle of the room on NOTHING, it doesn’t clean all the way. It literally is the worst product I have ever own. Save yourself the trouble and just go buy something different.

No help after sale
I purchased this combo unit and needless to say the Mop never really worked. And when it did it left an odor everywhere it went. The vacuum on the other hand worked ok when I got it. 10 months after the thing just won’t go won’t respond and won’t turn on so after hours on the phone they do send out a replacement under warranty. Not 2 months after I receive that one the vacuum motor inside it fails. So after a few more hours on the phone and 2 different supervisors I finally get someone to send out a motor so I can replace it (they wouldn’t fix it said it was out of warranty but the replacement had a 90 day warranty). So I put the motor in and it lasts about 3 more months. So moral of the story if you want to spend 50 dollars a month on filters and brushes and internal parts then this is definitely the vacumn for you

Product worked well for just over a year, then the update occurred… Error 029. Customer service tells me – sorry, nothing we can do, would you like to buy a new one??? Complete waste of money, go with another brand!!!

Do not purchase, permanently broken due to software update.
The product was great while it lasted (approximately a year), however the vacuum recieved a software update that left it not only inoperable but also in a state that would play an audible chiming noise cyclical. I contacted customer support and they admitted the issue was a rare occurrence due to a software update but they wouldn’t not fix or replace the unit.

Avoid iRobot no longer built to last
I purchased the s9 Roomba with mopping robot combo in 2022. Lots of problems for $1000. These are not built to last like the old roombas. I’ve replaced many edge sweeping bushes, rollers and now the wheels need to be replaced AND you can’t buy the replacement parts from iRobot. The mopping robot does not do that great of a job and you need to swap out tanks for hardwood and tile floors. Also you have to constantly refill the tanks and change out the pads. Easier to mop yourself with a much better result. Save your money and buy something more affordable.

No Support
I like the product. I actually purchased two rumba S9+ vacuum cleaners. They work well. However the filter box becomes a problem. I cleaned the filter boxes and also I clean the sensors. After about eight months this vacuum cleaner started to give me an error message saying that the filter box was full and needed to be emptied. I just emptied it and cleaned it the day before. Rumba recommends using a magic eraser to clean the sensors and that works for another couple weeks. I called rumba and they no longer carry this filter box. I own two rumba S9 plus vacuum cleaners at approximately $1100 each. Be aware of this if you purchase this vacuum cleaner.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT – does not work properly and iRobot will not maintain/repair the robot
BUYER BEWARE – using this product for normal use in even a one story home will result in dirt accumulating inside of the cliff sensors. This causes the robot to constantly have issues thinking there are cliffs and items blocking the docking station. The robot then needs constant oversight, restarting, and resetting. It is essentially unusable as a robot vacuum at this point. It is clear that dust has accumulated inside of the cliff sensors, and iRobot refuses to maintain/repair the robot after 1 year of use for an almost $1000 product. I was even willing to pay an additional $150 for them to work on the robot and they refused saying error 8 – cliff sensors cannot be fixed! Dust accumulates inside of these sensors with normal use and maintenance, there is nothing you can do to avoid this from happening! It is faulty design and they should not be selling this product.

This is piece of junk.
I have had this set for two years and I have had nothing but challenges with the vacuum. Everything from it not being able to map appropriately, to app saying the bin is full and it’s not. I have called Customer service many times over its lifespan and now they’re telling me it needs basically gutting and replacement of its parts for it to function. On my dime. Properly engineered to malfunction after the warranty is up. That is my end of purchasing any Roomba products. ! Not worth the price. Run away

Way better options out there
I so wanted to like this system. By appearance and technicals the S9+ and the mop seem top of the line… but man are appearances deceptive. For starters, the mop is near useless. First, it can’t move over thresholds (or traverse carpet) so it’ll only clean on a room by room basis if you have threshold. Second, it doesn’t so much mop up dirt as it just moves it around. It leaves streaks, and really is only somewhat useful when using the dry mop function. It’s navigation system is also very stupid. Now to the main subject of this poor review: the S9+. This little guy “whom I call Sucky Boi” at first does well. It takes awhile to map the house but once done it’ll systematically clean its territory without getting stuck (so long as the floor is clear of object any robot vacuum would get caught on). However…. After time with it there are some un apparent fatal flaws with it: 1) The rollers: shortly after I got it I noticed the rollers would get damaged fairly easily. Enough so that they would need to be replaced quite often. Sometimes even after A SINGLE CLEANING RUN. Replacing those aren’t cheap either. iRobot charges a pretty penny to replace those. The other robot vacuums I’ve had (mostly from Neato) never needed a brush roller to be replaced. But the Roomba S9+ needs them replaced CONSTANTLY. I clear the brushes of pet hair after every run and I still sometimes have to replace the rollers after a single run. It’s ridiculous. This also applies to the little side brush. 2) Docking Issues. Soooo. Many. Docking issues. I’ve followed all the instruction for setting up the dock (to the letter) and the S9+ still doesn’t dock properly half the time. Sometimes I’ll try and run it but it’ll be dead because it didn’t dock right. I have no comparison for this however because my robots made by Neato didn’t have them (and Neato doesn’t make them). But it’s really frustrating and for something I paid over $1,000 for I’d expect it to at least charge properly. Unfortunately, I gave this thing a year before deciding it was complete trash so I’m unlikely to be able to get my money back. If I hadn’t put up with it for over a year I’d only give it 1 star, but I’m giving it 2 since it does kind of work. But I sure wish I had returned it the moment I realized what a money sink and headache it would be so offering you some friendly advice. If you’re looking for a robot vacuum, LOOK ELSEWHERE.

This model has issues
I am currently on my second, and last, version of this roomba. The original one I purchased nearly caught on fire when hair wrapped around the rollers and built up in the open ends. Friction against the rollers caused the hair to char and melt the ends of the roller and the brackets where the rollers sit. Luckily I was home when it was running, and was able to smell the burning before it got worse. I was able to return this one as it was in its return period. I bought a replacement from InfinityProduct–be warned, they are not a sanctioned vendor, and you will not be covered under iRobot’s warranty! They are unresponsive and unhelpful to service requests. This model lasted about two months, then the plastic fan fins in the blower motor shattered in the housing, causing the vacuum to be completely useless. iRobot does not sell this part, so it is impossible to repair it yourself. InfinityProduct does not honor warranty requests–their response to the problem is “you are outside the return window, sorry.” All said and done, while I have used iRobot products for years now, this model needs a lot of work. Cheap construction, poor (DANGEROUS!) engineering flaws. I won’t buy another one.

Not for houses with pets
I did a lot of research before purchasing my Roomba vacuum and mop a year ago. I chose this model for a variety of reasons, but one being that the product described reviews made it clear that this was the best option for people with pets. I have a low-shedding dog and one domestic cat. The Roomba vacuum requires my attention every time it vacuums and even in the midst of a job. The fur gets wound around the ends of the rollers and if I don’t clean them each and every time I run the vacuum, they will destroy the roller(s) entirely. The vacuum cannot handle dead leaves, which unfortunately my dog brings in with her in the fall. Just one or two that I miss picking up will clog the vacuum and render it unable to empty the bin, requiring my attention once again. I have to carry the mop to several of my rooms because the hallway has a carpet runner and the mop cannot go over that (it would run the dirty mop over the carpet). The mop has never made my hardwood floors look clean. They will look a bit better, but I am always able to see dog prints on the floor after mopping. It’s back and forth method of cleaning just can’t truly clean the surface enough. Finally, after a year of owning both I can attest that the mapping is terrible. The mop had a very difficult time getting a good map set up and the vacuum continues to get lost despite no change in the rooms whatsoever. As I write this, the vacuum.is cleaning the hallway despite being scheduled to only clean the bedroom. Earlier it couldn’t even find it’s way to the bathroom and I had to assist it once again. While I love the idea of easy, consistent, independent cleaning by such products, the reality is they are anything but. The constant issue with tangled fur or hair, the difficulty getting to rooms (or staying in them), the reordering of new rollers, filters and brushes make me less than thrilled with my significant investment in these products.

Please do yourself a favor and buy a roborock
I bought this bundle thinking that an american company would have produced the best product in their respective field. The robot’s performed well for 4 months but then began the issues. Primarily the s9 has problems with its bumper being stuck. This error is well documented online and occurs often with these bots, Roomba’s specifically don’t use a visual/LIDAR system for map creation. It stares at your ceiling and bumps into things to determine room shape/size. I eventually gave up and returned to vacuuming manually. The Braava jet we had also began leaking after its o ring around the tank became loose, unsure how as we never removed it to refill the tank. I bought a roborock ultra just recently and it is a much better vacuum that requires much less effort (refillable dirty and clean water tanks), and works much better due to its reliance on LIDAR for navigation. all in all stay away from irobot, their product is fundamentally flawed, the Chinese are the robo-vacuum kings.

Broke a couple of months after warranty expired
I really liked the idea of this robot – I could just let it be and it would clean my floor with minimum maintenance! For the most part it delivered, however, a year and a half after purchase the lid no longer closes because the little plastic clasp seems to have worn down. iRobot does not sell lids or clasps to fix this and the cost to repair is $125!!! Very disappointed that they do not sell parts for pieces that are fragile for such an expensive robot! When it does work, the robot is great! It has really good suction power and I love the base concept to empty itself!

Loud, bad, and terrible product experience
Roomba sucks, but not in the I was hoping for. The app is terrible, and the robot is eternally confused, no matter what kind of a layout you have in your home. Braava Jet, on the other hand, has some kind of a system to make sure that the cleaning pads you are using are genuine. Only problem is, it often thinks that genuine pads are also fakes! So, you end up buying a pack pads and throwing away half of them because Braava decides in the middle of cleaning that it doesn’t like the pad it’s using. What a super nice way to cheat some money off your customers. So, if you were hoping to get a nice cleaning experience where you can schedule cleaning while away from home, be prepared to be disappointed. Either Roomba will get stuck or run out of battery without returning to the charging base, or Braava will fail to detect that the pad is genuine and interrupt cleaning. Either way, by the time you get back home, the cleaning won’t be done. There are better brands to spend $1,200 on.

Don’t waste your money
The mop doesn’t work I send that part to repair for 3 times and still doesn’t work

Don’t. Just don’t.
Buy a Neato. I regret switching but was enticed by the combo of the mop and the vacuum. The entire ecosystem feels like a pay to win game. Like you’re prompted to by gems through in app purchases but only this time is to keep your house clean. It’s an awful product and and even worse experience.

Always broken
If you want to spend your time troubleshooting and fixing these things instead of vacuuming then this is your thing. It’s easier to just vacuum each. They always have issues, errors or broken parts. They get stuck or lost 24/7. Just not what I would expect from a $1000+ product.

Worst product i have ever used.
I bought this a long time ago. Interface: it’s typical of a company that are clueless about interfaces. if you are not on an app – you have no clue what it’s doing. One button form everything! USE: you will spend 20 minutes trying to get it to work, give up, use your regular vacuum – finish the 5 minute job. Press the button …….. press the button……re-read the insructions – so what they say…..put the thing away, use your real vacuum. You could buy the BEST OF THE BEST vacuum for what this pile of garbage costs. WHY waste your time with something that has such a horrible interface?! I can pretty much guess someone will buy this after reading this – try to get it to work, be forced to use the app because the one button nonsense on this poorly designed tells you nothing. On the RARE occassion you do get it to work – a freshly cleaned (literally NOTHING blocking anything) starts to vacuum for about 1-2 minutes – then it just rolls around the room not vacuuming anything. i cannot believe i tossed this kind of money in the garbage. I watch others try to get it to work, i give them the regular vacuum and say “when you grow tired of trying to get it to work – here’s the real vacuum. they give up, grumble, use the real vacuum. It costs next to nothing to put an interface on that thing – why not do that?! This was an expensive lesson to learn! Lesson learned!

Buyer Beware
I purchased this item anticipating great results based on prior reviews. However, 1 year after I purchased the vacuum and floor cleaner, the vacuum stopped working and would continually indicate the need to empty. When I contacted customer support, they wanted “proof of purchase”! I registered both devices when they first arrived, and Tech. support could remote access the Roomba. However, the sensor was no longer working (design issue) and needed replacing. Tech. support won’t send the replacement part without the “proof of purchase”. Now, it doesn’t hardly vacuum at all, sounds noisier than when I first got it, and I still haven’t received the replacement part. I would STRONGLY recommend buying another product which is more cost efficient, and the manufacturer is more customer friendly. This has been a TOTAL WASTE of my money.

lasted two years and can’t be fixed
The vacuum stopped working after using it for two years and according to customer service there is nothing they can do. I guess they don’t service expensive vacuums? Now we have a $1000 broken vacuum that can’t be fixed. I won’t buy or recommend this brand again. Oh, you can get $100 trade in credit if you want to send the broken one back and purchase a new one. No thanks.

It was good while it lasted
Do not spend your hard earned money on this robot. The blower motor will fail on the s9 vacuum. I just had my second motor fail on me and it looks like they don’t even sell the part anymore. I’m sure they are aware of this issue as the first time I had to replace the motor the part was on back order. Overall I was happy with it’s performance when it worked, but now I have to replace the motor on my own dime if I want it to work again. My i7 has been running longer than this one and has never had a motor fail on it. It makes me distrust a company when they clearly know there is a faulty part and are still trying to sell the product. Do not buy this model. It will fail on you. The mop was actually halfway decent though.

this sucks
Before I was put off by the reviews saying how awful noisy and clumsy it was without laser navigation. Who cares when this thing has the best suction on the market. Sounds just like any other vacuum you’d push around with your hands. With careful drive turned on it also is much more conscious about bumping into things. I think it did just as good a job as the J7 i exchanged it for, when it comes to cords and obstacles. I love my S9

Product only works during the 1 year warranty
The vacuum worked perfectly fine during the first year (warranty). After the 1 year mark, it started giving problems and we would have to reboot it multiple times for it to be able to work and vacuum. It has been a nightmare since then. Multiple phone calls with customer service got me nowhere. On the last call a couple of weeks ago, I was told they have found issues with some sensors and the only way to make it vacuum is to remove the battery and reinstall it. This means every single time I need to use the robot, I have to remove the screws on the bottom, remove the battery, wait a few minutes and reinstall everything. This is totally ridiculous. It is the worst $1400 I spent. I will never buy iRobot products again and do not recommend it to anyone. I see there are other brands with much better reviews out there.

Great for the first two months
I loved having this for the first two months, then I started getting error tones from it and the app would tell me I needed a genuine iRobot battery. I could not get it to reset and sent it back. The mop portion didn’t seem too good, so If you wanted this vacuum, I would not recommend the bundle. Overall, I would not recommend the S9 at all.
