I read the reviews and decided to still get the product. Just like the other reviews said this product was noisy which i didn’t mind. It also was a problem connecting to the wifi. I called tech support and got it done. But the 1 problem i had that wasn’t expecting was with the charging. I set it to vacuum every other day but it died after 1 hour of cleaning although it was docked for almost 48 hours. I will pay attention to the charging and return it if that happens again.

I had a Coredy vacuum pump which died after around 2 years, now it just goes around in a circle. We replaced it with a Roomba and we were amazed by how much better job the Roomba does. You really do get what you pay for and Roomba is not even that much more expensive. As an added bonus I won’t be sending my house layout to China.

Took me 20 minutes to convince Amazon that the item was broken and did not work. Cost me three dollars plus tax to return the item with UPS. Amazon wanted to give me account credit for the return I insisted and put the credit back onto my credit card.

The second time I used it, I picked it up and the parts fell all over the floor. I couldn’t put it back together. Rather than put it in a box, I threw it out. This is because I threw the box away, and I didn’t feel like driving UPS again. $90 wasted. Oh well, I did derive some pleasure throwing that piece of junk in the trash. By the way, when you do that, Amazon does not give you a refund.

Stick to a normal vaccuum
I got this on Black Friday deals for 160$ I can’t imagine paying for price for this hunk of garbage. 1. The app doesn’t work. There is no stop function on cleaning cycles. You can click send home and then the roomba will decide I’ll go home once I finish…. The point is to stop now. You can choose cycle cleaning times but the roomba never adheres to them. I’ll chose 30 mins sometimes it’s 15 sometimes it’s 90 minutes. Does whatever it wants. 2. They constantly get stuck. I thought these things were supposed to be smart and map your home… that doesn’t happen. Frankly you can’t even use the auto clean schedule bc I’ve never once not had my zoomba forcibly ram itself until it’s stuck. 3. The bristles and cleaning pieces break easily 4. Doesn’t even clean well. At best it gets 30% of dusty and debri. I’m left vaccuuming after it every time. Maybe if you ran it every day but again that leads to having to be home to ensure it can finish the job. 5. The only thing it does sense is where you are and how to be a nuisance while it cleans. 6. It’s constantly out of power. It puts itself back on its charging dock but every time I go to have it clean it sat on the dock lost all its battery then has to charge again. To roomba if you reading this can I get my money back? I would prefer to just put this in the trash where it belongs and not have to have the hassle of sending back.

Constantly gets stuck and requires attention
I read other reviews that stated the same problem with this model, but I bought one as Amazon Used to try it. Don’t waste your time if you have any floor transitions across carpet such as entry mats, hallway runners etc. It probably does okay on hardwood and laminate with very low pile area rugs. But bath mats, medium carpet, entry rugs etc. make it Error E56 and you must go find it and point it in a different direction to restart. You will spend more time rescuing the robot than vacuuming by hand.

The Romba does a good cleaning job. We use it in all rooms. The Romba came without a QR code. It says in the App that the code is not needed. It took us several attempts to get the Romba connected to our WiFi. That’s why it’s only a 4 star rating.

This thing is DUMB!
I had an older roomba that could not be scheduled and they were have an amazing sale on this model (694). I have had it for 6 months and run it once a week. Honestly I don’t think it had finished my one room basement but a handful of times. It gets stuck on small area rugs (corners) and it tries to force its way into areas it don’t fit like behind my entertainment center.

Looses WiFi connection
Cleans well but constantly looses WiFi connection. I reboot and update firmware if available and after a day it looses connection. Sent in request to iRobot and no answer.

Waste of money
I have had nothing but trouble with this unit. It gets stuck constantly, does not run on the scheduled times, and most importantly cannot seem to make it back to the dock and charge. It seems almost impossible to get it back on the dock JUST RIGHT so that it connects and charges, whether on its own or even when I try to place it. Once the battery dies it’s even harder. I had the unit less than a year before I really just wanted to throw it away but for the cost felt I had to try to make it work. I say it’s worth the money to buy a better even if more expensive unit as opposed to spending less for it to only work properly for a few months.

Waste of Money
If you’re looking to burn $250 then this is the purchase for you. It is the dumbest “smart” object in my home. It wanders my home aimlessly, slamming into walls, various objects, or my dogs and like sort of vacuums at the same time, but barely. It mostly just makes a banging noise constantly. My favorite part is when at some point it decides that it has caused enough trauma to us all and it *attempts* to find its way back to its base to charge. Rarely does it ever find its way back to the charging station and I, more often than not, have to scour my home for its carcass and carry it to its charging station. It’s so useless and more infuriating than helpful. Add it to the list of things I wish I never purchased.

Disappointing performance
I had a roomba for years and it worked great and I upgraded to this model. The roomba gets stuck on the smallest of ledges and doesnt register with any of the virtual walls.

Surprisingly it is lower quality than cheaper brands
The vacuum suction is good. However, it gets stuck more often than other brands, it can’t find it’s base, the one moving sweeper it has stopped working even when replaced with a new one. Very disappointed, from such a known brand. Didn’t have all these issues with the cheaper $99 one I had for 4 years before it finally broke down.

I get a daily message telling me the stupid machine is stuck on a cliff. It can’t navigate a single room in my house and always seems to wedge itself in some random position then tells me it’s stuck on a cliff. Thing is a joke. I would be good for cleaning a house with no furniture

Very disappointed. Has a very difficult time charging, as it has to be on the charging port exactly perfectly, and will often stop charging with no apparent change in its connection to the charger. It almost never gets itself back on the charging port each night. It is frequently caught on basic objects (shoes, chair legs, small rugs, floor lip…), dies in its place, and needs to charge forever before it can finish the job. I have it set to clean our main floor each night while we sleep. I’d guess it does a complete cleaning job 1/7 runs. Highly disappointing. Missed the return window unfortunately.

We have used floor robots for years, and I have even had other iRobot models before but this one is the absolute WORST! It does not return to its docking station correctly. Even when I manually put it on the charging station half the time it STILL wouldn’t charge but then would decide to power on in the middle of the night making loud beeping noises! So disappointed in what I used to consider a quality brand.

You have to create a user name and password to use the app features….for a vacuum. Today, I click on the app and I have to re-enter user name and password. You think I remember from a year ago?! ITS A VACUUM! Avoid this company and this product.

Like having a baby in the house who cleans
Why like a baby? Did you every have to “Baby-Proof” a house? With this you have to move things in your home that will get this thing stuck. It took me two weeks to finally get it so it would perform the scheduled job without it calling for me to get it unstuck. And YOU HAVE TO BUY the things that will stop it from going into other rooms or create a barrier. I had to buy three and still baby-proof the house.

I cannot see the additional value in the high priced versions of this device. You really need to clean the filter and canister every time, so I see no value in the one that “cleans” themselves or wash floors too. in fairness though I haven’t used those. I will say also that my Roomba gets stuck regularly on thresholds, that’s aggravating. Overall though this is a solid product, i just would not spend 300-400 or 600 dollars when the 200.00 version is fine

I have reconnect it to the wifi every time I use it and still won’t work with the app. I have to just press the clean button on the vacuum and it cleans wherever it wants. It does not seem to remember rooms or where things are and recleans spots over and over.
