For years I have always purchased my vacuum’s based on “price”. For some reason I felt the more expensive vacuum was better quality I I WAS ABSOLUTELY WRONG !!!! – – It took this purchase of the Bissell® CleanView Swivel Vacuum to proved to me price means NOTHING. It is expertly designed – very easy to use – to empty – to clear the hose of blocks. All the parts click into place perfectly. The suction is unbelievably strong and the hose is nice and long so I can reach up to the ceiling with no problems. I THINK BISSELL DESERVES A THUMBS UP FOR THIS ONE !!!!!
I bought this in September 2024, and the drive belt broke in January 2025. Drive belts and filters are not covered under warranty. Given that these are prone to break, you would think the design would facilitate replacement – but no. Rather than a simple system without screws, you have to remove 7 screws to get to the brush area. In my case, dog hair had built up underneath the belt cover and eventually broke the drive belt. In the picture, the lime green plastic cover on the left is where the belt is. Note that you would have to remove the cover screws to clean the brush or even to simply check for dog hair build up. I bet the screws aren’t under warranty either, since stripping them is all too likely. Otherwise, I love how good a job this does pulling up Golden Retriever fur off the carpet. It is a shame none of the product designers considered whether it is simple to maintain.

Poor storage design (cord attachments etc)
The vacuum provides good suction, the handle height is higher than most, but is comfortable for taller people. The hose is short, so if you are using the attachments you will need to hold the vacuum to prevent it from tipping over. There is no place to secure one of the attachments. The hose and cord fit very tightly against each other when you secure the cord (bulky and cumbersome) poor storage design.

I needed quiet!! This is very quiet compared to others. The cornering feature normally goes everywhere it wants to, but not where you want it to. This is controlled very easily! The suction is great, and it’s very easy to empty, and the bottom of the spinning carpet bar does not get all wound up with pet and people hair! I’ve never had a vacuum that stated that, but actually did what it said it was going to do. Highly recommend.

Quiet yet powerful!
I have two cats and I have been without a vacuum cleaner for about three months. The amount of hair this thing vacuumed up that I did not even know it was there is amazing. It is nice and quiet compared to most large, vacuum, cleaners, and so powerful. It has a new little tiny feature that I’ve never had before and that is on the front of the vacuum cleaner, the part that hits the wall on the floor. There is just a little tiny scoop, or a brush type of thing that pulls things away from the wall so that it can vacuum it up. Very nice.

Holding strong at 3 years
If your vacuum starts to blow instead of suck, it means you have a clog in the port next to the brush underneath the unit. Take off the green plastic and roll and you’ll see it.

Belt Melted-FIRE HAZARD
I got this vacuum April 2023 this year and everything was perfect about it. We clean it after every use and don’t over work it. I smelt a burning smell and noticed the brush stopped spinning. Thought that I maybe vacuumed over something and it got stuck. Took it apart to notice there was melted plastic underneath the belt and burnt hair and debris. Only have this vacuum for a few months and i’m disappointed it’s broken.

The only complaint I have about this vacuum is the cord is outside and wrapped around instead of being retractable. Everything else is perfect. The suction is great. It gets all the dirt and animal hair. Great purchase!

I bought this vacuum 4 months ago and today the belt broke. Belts aren’t expensive but it’s really inconvenient. A brand new vacuums belt shouldn’t break in 4 months. Disappointed in this brand.

I cleaned my whole 1500+sqft house with 1 canister. I was hesitant to buy because of how much dog hair I have, but this vacuum had no issues. This did well on short carpet, long rugs, hardwood, and tile. This was a great buy, love the brand. It was quick and easy to put together. Easy to empty. Next time I’ll probably wash the filter. But for the first try, this was perfect. Pretty lightweight and maneuvers well around corners, furniture legs, edges. Would definitely recommend.

Not functional
Bought a refurbished unit – missing the screws and hose; of which Bissel happily replaced for free. After we put the hose on we tested it to see the brush bar wasn’t spinning; the belt was broken. 3 problems; 2 missing items and 1 broken, of 2 of the problems individually prevent the vacuum from functioning.

Best vacuum ever
I just used it for the first time. I have a pit bull and if you know anything about them, they shed a LOT. This thing picked up the hair on my wooden floors, rugs, etc with no problem at all. It’s not too heavy so it didn’t feel like a huge workout. It’s super easy to use as well. I’d say my only complaint is it was just loose in the box when I opened it up. 10/10 I recommend for everyone

Great while it lasted!
Purchased this in February of 2023. Wanted a swivel handle and one with a sturdier wheel / axle design than our last vacuum. Worked great until September when the roller brush locked up and the subsequent heat from the belt melted some of the plastic surrounding the belt guard. One melted part we ordered and replaced, the other piece appears to be a non-replaceable part of the unit. Ordered a replacement roller brush. Less than two weeks later the roller brush bent on the belt end. Ordered another roller brush. Got three weeks out of this one and the same thing happened! We clean our vacuums (we utilize one on the main floor and one for our finished basement, our other vacuum is not a Bissell) on a weekly basis. No shag carpeting. The driveshaft on this vacuum spins freely and has no wobble. Disappointed for sure. We really liked how this Bissell was working. We are going to purchase a replacement vacuum, doubt it will be a Bissell…

Way better than my shark
I bought a shark because everyone swears by them but i had it less than 2 years and it stopped working so i went on the hunt for my next one. Ive never had a bissel so i thought why not. So far i love it! It has brissels that stick out and get the carpet next to rhe walls where my shark wouldnt and id have to use the hose. The canister is much bigger too which is super convenient!

I bought this to replace a Dyson canister vacuum that I’ve had for only 5 years, but wasn’t doing a good job in picking up pet hair from our Frenchie. After unboxing it and putting It together (took 3 minutes), we vacuumed just a 9×12 area rug…and OMGGGG!!! See pic above for what this miracle vacuum picked up that my Dyson didn’t. This vacuum is easy to use with the swivel, cleans edge to edge and has ALOT of power if it got that much hair on just 1 area rug. I can’t wait to use it in the rest of the house and finally get it really clean!!! My only criticism is the cord…I’m used to having automatic retractable cords and this vacuum doesnt have that…but I’ll manage knowing my house will be pet hair clean….FINALLY!! UPDATE: I don’t know how I ever lived without this vacuum! After vacuuming 2 bedrooms and 1 area rug, the canister was almost full! The 2nd pic is after all rooms were vacuumed. This thing is a BEAST!!! You absolutely need this if your furbaby sheds.

Suction is outstanding. The side bristles pull up debris along the walls and in door jam crevices – this one of the best features. Swivel brush head is easy to maneuver unlike my Shark Navigator. Light weight and not too noisy. Not having a retractable cord is not an issue since you’ll end up hand feeding a retractable cord over time. Could have used 3 more feet on the cord, but I’ll cope. Dirt canister is easy to disengage and empty. Took only a couple of minutes to assemble – instructions were easy to follow. Like the dial to adjust brush height.

I am really thrilled with this vacuum – -it works great. Great suction, and works just as well on hard wood floors as it does carpets. The cord is nice and long which is great. The little “turbo pet hair vacuum” is really good, it cleaned my upholstery really easily. Overall I’m super thrilled — and for the money, you can’t beat it. Now, I just hope it lasts more than a year. PS, I used to only buy Dysons, I gave up on them because they had too many breakable plastic parts that couldn’t be fixed or replaced….

I chose the Bissell Clearview over the Bissell Crossover Vacuum/Mop for several reasons. I like that the Clearview cleans right to the baseboards. The vacuum suction is strong, and, the vacuum is easy to maneuver with the dual swivel pivot point. It’s on the lighter side for an upright vacuum and it comes with an upholstery vacuum tool and wand. It works effectively to vacuum over hardwood floors, tile floors, area rugs and longer pile carpeting. Overall Good product at a Great price!

Died after 4 months
It was good at first. Perfect for low pile carpets, but I have medium high pile. The brush roll stopped spinning, high pitched noise, and started to smell like it’s burning. Tried to go to the site to do all the troubleshooting and took everything apart and put it back together. It didn’t help. Tried to reach out to their customer support and it said to register the product. I did. Person on chat still requested the same information, so do not bother registering the product. They do not look at it. After all of that, still haven’t received any help and it’s passed the replacement/refund date.

This thing is a beast!
So previously I had ordered a Roanoke which was a cordless vacuum. I even bought an extra battery pack but after just 15 minutes of vacuuming the battery that I had charged for over 24 hours was dead. It also left clumps everywhere that I had to come in with a broom and dust pan to clean up afterwards. This Bissell, on the other hand, I have never had a more powerful vacuum, and I am so thankful for all the extra attachments that it comes with, and makes doing my stairs a breeze. And it actually goes so deep with in the surface and gets out things you did not even know were in there. This vacuum is truly mind blowing, and I am so thankful to Bissell for creating such a beast. I’ve used it once so far. Linoleum floors and low pile carpet. It’s VERY loud even on the carpet. That’s why I gave it only 3 stars. Corrugated hose isn’t as long as I’d like for use on furniture. Good long power cord tho.

Brush does not turn off for wood floors!
This is a decent vacuum for the price. I like that filters are washable. The roller brush does not turn off for hard wood floors though. I know from past experience that you are not supposed to run the brush on wood floors as it will scratch them.

We had vacuumed the carpet the day before with our old Bissell, then used this today. What a difference so much dog and cat hair, plus more dirt and the hand attachment did wonders on the cat bed. Definitely recommend this vacuum cleaner..
