For years I have always purchased my vacuum’s based on “price”. For some reason I felt the more expensive vacuum was better quality I I WAS ABSOLUTELY WRONG !!!! – – It took this purchase of the Bissell® CleanView Swivel Vacuum to proved to me price means NOTHING. It is expertly designed – very easy to use – to empty – to clear the hose of blocks. All the parts click into place perfectly. The suction is unbelievably strong and the hose is nice and long so I can reach up to the ceiling with no problems. I THINK BISSELL DESERVES A THUMBS UP FOR THIS ONE !!!!!
I bought this in September 2024, and the drive belt broke in January 2025. Drive belts and filters are not covered under warranty. Given that these are prone to break, you would think the design would facilitate replacement – but no. Rather than a simple system without screws, you have to remove 7 screws to get to the brush area. In my case, dog hair had built up underneath the belt cover and eventually broke the drive belt. In the picture, the lime green plastic cover on the left is where the belt is. Note that you would have to remove the cover screws to clean the brush or even to simply check for dog hair build up. I bet the screws aren’t under warranty either, since stripping them is all too likely. Otherwise, I love how good a job this does pulling up Golden Retriever fur off the carpet. It is a shame none of the product designers considered whether it is simple to maintain.

Brush Belt melted after first use
The brush belt melted and broke after the first use. The vacuum does not work properly without the belt and only sucks up minimally. The apparatus inside the vacuum that holds the belt is metal and gets blazing hot during use. You can see in the picture the clean break that occurred at the point where the metal touches the belt. Tried to call this morning during posted business hours and got an automated message saying I was calling outside business house.

This vacuum is worth every penny! You know when you go to the car wash and use the vacuum there to vacuum your floor mats, well this is equivalent to that! The suction power is amazing. No more fine dog fur suck to the couch, and no more cat litter in random places.

WORST vacuum EVER
WORST vacuum EVER. Should have spent more and got the Shark. This has next to no suction. I’ve always liked my Bissels before this, but never again after this HUGE disappointment. The wiring on the cord is exposed on one section after only the 2nd use. AWFUL.

Drive belt malfunctions
The drive belt keep falling off within the first few uses. If it did not fall off, it became entangles with pet hair and would in turn burn the pet hair, resulting in a whole house smell of burnt hair. Very poorly designed drive mechansim.

This is the worst vacuum I’ve ever owned and I’m in my 70s. It’s cumbersome, the design is extremely un-ergonomic, and not user-friendly. The minute I turned it on it smelled like burning rubber. In addition, the minute I turned it on the canister was already full of dirt without having vacuumed anything. This makes me think it was returned as defective and resold. The width of the base is so wide that it doesn’t fit under spaces that are narrower. Not narrow, just a little narrower. It is by far, the worst vacuum I have ever owned. I have a dirt devil that’s excellent, a lightweight Dyson, and I’ve always loved the shark vacuums. I should have stuck with one of those.

Only lasted 2 weeks
Worked for 2 weeks before the smell of burnt rubber occurred and the brush stopped spinning. I was hopeful to try a budget vacuum. Unfortunately this does not last AT ALL.

Just okay; Sharks are better
Subpar compared to Sharks. Purchased Aug 2023 and it’s now March 2025. Had this long enough for honest review. Pros-swivels nice, cheaper than sharks, nice attachments, suction is good. That’s it. Cons-belt burns out frequently. I’m on my third one, hose is too short hard to reach my standard 8’ ceiling to get webs. Falls over when trying , have to haul the whole thing to do stairs whereas shark detaches, parts don’t detach to clear clogs or you have to unscrew so many parts just to clear it whereas shark has a lot of easily detachable parts along the system to clear the hose. Overall, I will be returning to shark vacuums.

Great suction, huge design flaw.
Okay so this vacuum is pretty great, sucked up massive amounts of dirt and hair but there is TWO things I am not liking about it. You can’t turn the roller off! I stopped and was vacuuming my couch with the attachment and had the vacuum on my rug while doing so, it started smoking from sitting in the same spot on the rug while I was cleaning the couch. Also the suction is so strong that using the attachments is next to impossible to do without holding the rest of the vacuum, because the hose wants to collapse. I’m not sure I’m going to keep this. Going to shop around and see if there’s better options 🤷♂️

Love this vacuum. It’s very durable and can handle a lot of pet hair. We have an akita that sheds daily and we needed a vacuum that wouldn’t get clogged or broken after just a few uses. We’ve had it for almost a year now and it still works so well. We run the vacuum at least twice a day because of the pet hair. Love the bissel pet vacuum

Bought this vacuum because it was specifically for pet hair and claims it doesn’t get tangled. Absolute hate this vacuum. Don’t get it if you have pets. I have a golden retriever and I vacuum at least every other day if not every day (literally only have carpet in my living room and it’s not very big). It is constantly getting tangled and smells horrible. I’ve had cheaper vacuums that did a better job than this one. Extremely disappointed.

Good value after first use
It is very light which is nice but, feels cheaply made. On first use with wood grain tile floors and long haired pets, it worked GREAT! I hope it continues to impress and that I’m wrong about it feeling cheaply made. It’s mainly the power and arm release that seem very delicate.

I have 3 dogs and 2 cats. Pet hair is always a problem. My Dyson had to be serviced so I bought this affordable vacuum. The difference after one use was incredible. The dust bin was full of pet hair after only a few minutes of using this vacuum. My Dyson always took a few days to fill up it’s bin. They are close in size. Very happy with this purchase.

Wow, this is the second Bissell floor product I have purchased within a month. The first being the Bissell Spin Wave hard wood floor cleaner. I was so impressed that I decided to check out their other products. We have two dogs, both shed. I have a Miele Vacuum, that works great on the hard wood floor, but did not work well picking up dog hair from our rugs. So after reading all the great reviews on the Bissell Swivel Vacuum, I decided to give it a try. This thing WORKS. I was horrified at how much dog hair was in the container on my first vacuum! I had to empty the cylinder twice. The vacuum is lightweight, easy to assemble and does an amazing job. If you have dogs and rugs, then this will be your new best friend. Thank you Bissell, you have made my life so much easier.

I’ve had this model twice before, third time was not a charm.
I’ve had this same vacuum 2 times before with zero issues. I had this vacuum for 5 weeks, 2.5 weeks of that I was out of town and never used it. I used it for probably the 5th time and all of a sudden it just had a burning smell, so I turned it off. I followed the suggestions for this from the manufacturer and none applied. I tried it the next day, and the same thing happened. I called Bissell and got an automated message that I would be called back, that never happened so I tried again and received no call back. I wouldn’t recommend this vacuum, there must have been a change to this model or I just happened to get a bad egg.

This vacuum blew me away! I have hardwood floors, four dogs, and lots of little messes (including wood bits from my stove and my dogs chewing on everything). This thing picks up everything—dog hair, dirt, tiny wood pieces, dust in the cracks of my floor—you name it! ✔ Powerful suction without flinging stuff around. ✔ Picks up pet hair better than any vacuum I’ve used. ✔ Gets into the cracks of my hardwood (huge win!). ✔ Lightweight & super easy to maneuver. ✔ Quiet (which I was NOT expecting). ✔ Didn’t scratch my hardwood at all. Bad design for pet hair
Awful for pet hair. I have two long haired dogs I brush often to reduce shedding, but it still gets tangled in the brush and belt often. It’s a massive pain to clean that out. Bought in June and can use it for one room before it doesn’t work. Only pro is suction is pretty good. Might be decent for a pet free home.

Great decently priced vacuum!
So far I love it! I typically had to buy a new vacuum every 1-2 years. Last time I needed a new one, I went with a $300 shark vacuum that I got on sale thinking it should last me way longer. It lasted 2 years and was still under warranty. After figuring out the warranty process was a nightmare to complete, we went with this vacuum that was highly rated but in a decent price range that if it breaks in 1-2 years I won’t feel so out of money. To be fair, we have 4 kids and 3 dogs in our 3k sq ft house that’s all carpet except the kitchen and bathrooms. I vacuum at least a couple of times a week. Fast forward to getting this new vacuum.. it was easy to put together, and even though it had only been a week since I last vacuumed with my supposedly higher quality vacuum, I had to empty the canister 3 times for just 1 room!!! It was pulling hair and dirt out from so deep in the floor that we didn’t know it was there and our other vacuum wasn’t getting. I meant to only vacuum the main room, but immediately did the entire house and emptied the can 6 times. So positive, if you are looking for a decently priced highpowered vacuum, this is the one. Con, the cord could be longer! I have to unplug and plug in elsewhere for our bonus room because the cord isn’t long enough to reach the entire room. Other rooms, I’m fine, so it may not be a problem for everyone.

To remember how everything works
What I like about this item is you save money having to buy bags, and you can see all the dirt and other items that may have been sucked up. Easy to empty. May only dislikes is you need to remember to use the extension rod for the attachments. Its light weight for carrying to other rooms. The cord isn’t but 25 feet so you have to do one large room at a time, then going to another room to clean.
