For years I have always purchased my vacuum’s based on “price”. For some reason I felt the more expensive vacuum was better quality I I WAS ABSOLUTELY WRONG !!!! – – It took this purchase of the Bissell® CleanView Swivel Vacuum to proved to me price means NOTHING. It is expertly designed – very easy to use – to empty – to clear the hose of blocks. All the parts click into place perfectly. The suction is unbelievably strong and the hose is nice and long so I can reach up to the ceiling with no problems. I THINK BISSELL DESERVES A THUMBS UP FOR THIS ONE !!!!!
I bought this in September 2024, and the drive belt broke in January 2025. Drive belts and filters are not covered under warranty. Given that these are prone to break, you would think the design would facilitate replacement – but no. Rather than a simple system without screws, you have to remove 7 screws to get to the brush area. In my case, dog hair had built up underneath the belt cover and eventually broke the drive belt. In the picture, the lime green plastic cover on the left is where the belt is. Note that you would have to remove the cover screws to clean the brush or even to simply check for dog hair build up. I bet the screws aren’t under warranty either, since stripping them is all too likely. Otherwise, I love how good a job this does pulling up Golden Retriever fur off the carpet. It is a shame none of the product designers considered whether it is simple to maintain.

With the appropriate setting, it cleaned my living room area rug amazingly. It was also very quiet. I thought I was in love with this vacuum. But then I started using it throughout the house and became increasingly disappointed. First of all, it doesn’t transition from carpet to floor or vice versa. You have to bend over all the way to the base of the vacuum to change the height level every time. That’s frustrating and tiring. Also, if you leave it on carpet/rug level to prevent constant bending and stooping, the suction isn’t strong enough to clean the wood and tile floors. I have this one huge area rug in another room that’s a very low pile. It won’t vacuum it at all on any setting. It made a terrible noise when I attempted it. I wanted to love it. I feel it would be excellent for a home with lots of carpeting. It came nicely packaged and was easy to put together. Arrived in two days.

OMG!!! This vacuum is the TRUTH! If you are contemplating purchasing, just do it! I replaced a Shark that recently stopped working and they do not even compare. I’m so mad I didn’t find this one sooner. I was a little nervous because the price seemed too good to be true, but babyyyy, that is not the case! The suction is amazing, it’s lightweight and easy to maneuver, and I was able to assemble in 5 minutes flat! I could go on and on but I’ll just say reviews don’t lie! Literally the best vacuum ever!

Great machine for a great price but be aware at some point you’ll need to check/clean a ball of pet hair that may be stuck at the rotating band, otherwise it will produce a burning smell. No big deal, it is just a matter of maintenance, like every other item.

Bisset is not Pet Friendly
This is the absolute worst vacuum I have ever bought. I cannot vacuum the living room without the machine getting clogged and it is a pain to unclog. The Hoover Windrunner XL pet is no better. Both clog almost instantly.

Vacuums well but I would not buy again.
Purchased this vacuum a little over two months ago. Yes, it vacuums well but that’s about it. 1. It is lightweight and easy to maneuver around BUT because its so lightweight, when you go to use the attachment hose, (which is stiff and does not extend well), if you try to reach up too high or too far out from the machine the vacuum tips over every time! Because of this, do not count on this being anything other than a floor vacuum. Overall the material and weight of it makes it feel cheap. 2. The back wheels on the motor/brush roll base are higher than the kick space under my kitchen cabinets. I have to work my way down my kitchen base cabinets coming at them head on as opposed to running parallel along. 3. Cord length is too short in my opinion. 4. The brush roll height selection control is ON THE BASE of the vacuum so you have to bend over to change the height when going between carpet and hard floors. Maybe not that big of a deal but my last vacuum had this on the handle which made for better ease of use. 5. Attachments are cheap. But it does vacuum well. I would only purchase this again for maybe a kids dorm room.

Cheap. It isn’t light, but it feels cheap, like it will break easily. Once turned on, had a smell like burning polymers. It doesn’t pull very much air. The filter is small. The turbo brush, not very useful, not enough suction. The main reason we returned it, the brush roll turns 100% of the time, no way to turn it off. We don’t need the brush to turn all the time on hard wood and kitchen floors, it’s gonna wear out quick. Overall, bottom rung machine.

Works great and it is not to loud. Suction on the vacuum is good very easy to assemble and use. ONLY downside is the cord you got to coil it on to the “power cord flaps” it’s NOT RETRACTABLE you have to manually coil it back neatly. If it were retractable I would give it 5 stars but it’s very much worth buying.

Pet Turbo Eraser Siezes
After using for four months we’ve had to take apart the pet turbo eraser to remove hair wrapped around the bearing. This is an integral part of the airflow assisting in moving the paddles to pick up debris. This is not a quick task, taking over an hour to get the piece apart. With the components being predominately plastic, there is a high probability of breaking pieces while trying to remove the debris. I would not buy this vacuum again for the pain in the ass factor alone.

DO NOT buy the green Bissell vacuum Model 2252L
The media could not be loaded. DO NOT buy the green Bissell model 2252L. They should not be selling this vacuum.. although the section is really good, for a vacuum that is supposed to be a pet VAC model, all the pet hair, dust, and debris shoot straight up to the filter. Hardly any of the debris remains in the tank where it should be. If you do not clean the filter every time you use it, the vacuum does not have good suction. So every time you vacuum, you need to, not only empty the debris tank, you need to remove all the dirt, dog hair and debris from the filter area. Wash the filter and let it dry for 24 hours. It is such a dirty job and you get filthy every time you vacuum. I vacuum my house every day because I like a clean house, and I am so sick of having to clean the filter every single day!!! Bissell should replace this model… it is a fire hazard because all the dirt does not stay where it should, in the tank. The blue Bissell model 3836 looks much better with a HEPA filter. I wish I had bought that one!!

This vacuum is horrible. It doesn’t suck correctly at all, everything blows back out of the back of it. When you put it on high carpet it smells like the belt is burning. I would return if I had kept the box. Very disappointed, should be a lot less money! Don’t be deceived by its looks.

Not great on smaller rugs + hard to push on large rugs
My house is all tile/laminate flooring with different size rugs. The smaller rugs were all sucked up and the vacuum started to smell like it was burning or the rug was burning. The large (9×12) rug it works great but is hard to push even on the highest pile setting. Very loud on the tile/laminate because wig the brush. I wish you could turn that off. I wanted to love this so much. But I don’t.

Assembly was super simple but make sure you have a proper Phillips head screwdriver to install 2 screws. I only had a little one used a butter knife and got it done. It’s very light. I expected it to be heavier than the Shark stick vacuum I’d been using ( a Rocket, I believe, had it for a while) but I think because it isn’t top heavy it actually felt lighter. I wish the hose were longer to make using the upholstery tool a bit easier but otherwise it cleans like a dream. I don’t remember the last time my floors looked this good. Suction power is fantastic and there are 5 settings which make it easier to get all the dog hair out. I have low to medium pile carpet I did a few different settings and decided my favorite required a bit more effort on my part but gave the best clean and left those lines people always have. I’ve never had the lines in the carpet before. (Sorry to the old readers about my lines. I’m an adhd cleaner and just go where my heart takes me lol) I have a German Shepherd dog which means a lot of shedding plus 2 boys and a husband who track in all the dirt. I finally feel like my floors are clean.

Smokes from the wheels
I had this vacuum for less than three months before it started smoking from the left wheel near the power switch. I got a replacement through the warranty. I had the replacement for less than two months before the same thing happened. Not worth the money.

lasts forever!
I just realized that I’ve had this vacuum since 2020, and it’s a beast! picks up everything including little cheerios, dog food pieces, etc. It’s a bit bulky compared to the sleek cordless ones.. but I never have to charge the battery, and it picks up everything. There’s different attachments (one for fur that we use all the time for our dog) and a dial for different floor types. I’ve also dropped this thing a bunch of times and it hasn’t broken (knock on wood, guys).

after 6 months with this vacuum i can say it works great and we have been happy with the performance. however, in that time i have had to disassemble the bottom twice to remove pet hair that gets trapped in the compartment with the belt. both times the first warning was the burning smell and the second time i had to replace the belt (melted).

I had a cordless light weight vacuum for months that I could tell was not doing a good job. I vacuumed my carpets and lint scraped them the day before I got this one. When I tell you the amount of first, fur, hair etc that came out was insane. The suction on this thing is the strongest of any vacuum I have ever known, and the attachments actually work very well. BROKE AFTER 4 ISES
I had this exact vacuum (maybe a generation older) a few years ago and it was my favorite vacuum. It ended up breaking. I purchased this vacuum and used it literally 4 times… when I turn it on the brush roll stays stuck and it smells like rubber is burning. I have checked the brush roll and see no issues. The only room in my house I used this on was my bedroom(which is primarily taken up by a king bed) as the rest of the house has a wood floor. We have only had the vacuum for 8 months and it got used maybe twice a month(on the 1 room, with hardly any space due to the bed.) if we are being generous. I was vacuuming like normal then it started smelling like it was burning. Turned it off and checked it and nothing appeared wrong. Now it turns on, but the suctions not even strong enough to vacuum anything. Complete waste of money for the very small use we got out of it.

It’s nice
I had a shark for six years, and unfortunately it’s starting to give out. There are so many choices out there when it comes to vacuums, and unfortunately, it’s sometimes hard to make a decision. From Hoover to Dyson and everything in between. I asked ChatGPT to help me narrow down the best vacuum for the price and what I needed for. And it said that this was one of the best ones. It’s super simple to put together. And the power on that thing is pretty incredible, especially on the attachments for the stairs and upholstery. Unfortunately, the vacuum that I ordered had a manufacturing issue. After using it just one time, the front brush stopped working. And it appears that the belt that’s driving. The brush has snapped. I’m hoping that it’s a manufacturing defect, and not an item defect. I’ve returned the one that I bought, and I’m waiting for the new one to arrive. I like to vacuum. I like how it works. I like the ease, I love the power, but if it experiences an issue again, I’m just gonna have to go with a different brand.
