For years I have always purchased my vacuum’s based on “price”. For some reason I felt the more expensive vacuum was better quality I I WAS ABSOLUTELY WRONG !!!! – – It took this purchase of the Bissell® CleanView Swivel Vacuum to proved to me price means NOTHING. It is expertly designed – very easy to use – to empty – to clear the hose of blocks. All the parts click into place perfectly. The suction is unbelievably strong and the hose is nice and long so I can reach up to the ceiling with no problems. I THINK BISSELL DESERVES A THUMBS UP FOR THIS ONE !!!!!
I bought this in September 2024, and the drive belt broke in January 2025. Drive belts and filters are not covered under warranty. Given that these are prone to break, you would think the design would facilitate replacement – but no. Rather than a simple system without screws, you have to remove 7 screws to get to the brush area. In my case, dog hair had built up underneath the belt cover and eventually broke the drive belt. In the picture, the lime green plastic cover on the left is where the belt is. Note that you would have to remove the cover screws to clean the brush or even to simply check for dog hair build up. I bet the screws aren’t under warranty either, since stripping them is all too likely. Otherwise, I love how good a job this does pulling up Golden Retriever fur off the carpet. It is a shame none of the product designers considered whether it is simple to maintain.

Worst vacuum design ever
The cord on this vac comes out of the bottom so you must hold it to be able to vacuum at all. The long hose comes off the base so you can use a crevice and brush tool by hand but you can’t use more than 12” of it because the vacuum falls over unless you hold it up. I wish I had never bought this.

The vacuum worked great until something got stuck and started to smoke. I couldn’t really see the smoke as I smelled something burning.i am very careful vacuuming.. I unplug the machine. Couldn’t find anything stuck.It lasted 6 months. That’s it. Buy at your own risk. There was one other post. Someone else had the same problem with overheating and possible fire.

The media could not be loaded. I have had this vacuum for a couple years now and it does exactly what I want it to. We have a dog and I vacuum about once a week and it picks up very well! I really like the adjustable height since we have both tile and carpet!

I’m a senior citizen on oxygen. I’ve had my old vacuum 6years. It’s always been very heavy & hard to push, even before I needed to be on oxygen. The day before this one arrived I vacuumed my living room, dining room & hall twice & very slow to get it as clean as possible. I needed to take multiple breaks. The next day when my new one came I put it together & after vacuuming just my living room once I had to empty it! And it was so easy to maneuver!! I am soo glad I have this new vacuum 😊

Very good to great vacuum cleaner.
The price is good and seemed to have features we needed especially on-board tools. We like that we can adjust the height of the vacuum based on surface type. It seems to do a better job than our old vacuum which we liked very much. The canister is easy to remove for emptying/cleaning. It is a bit heavier than our old vac and it will not lay perfectly flat when trying to vacuum underneath a table or chair, but those are minor things. We would recommend this product!

Outstanding Value Great Price
I bought one of these for a family member and liked it so much I bought one for myself. Packaging good. Assembly was easy. Instruction manual is clear and concise. I have never had a bagless vacuum, but I admit it is pretty handy. Although, damp or sticky things may get a little messy. Stick to dry vacuuming. Well designed cannister and easy to empty and install. It is very quite compared to most vacuums I have had. It has a washable/reusable filter. If I had one minor issue I wish it were a tad lighter. However, some lightness is sacrificed for sturdiness and this thing is built well. For a low price, good quality, bagless vacuum, I highly recommend. Prime delivered this item the next day! Outstanding.

Attachments are Junk!
The vacuum itself picks up dirt and pet hair out of carpeting very well (For now 10/19/2024). The stair attachment allowed me to clean the stairs about twice before the plastic agitator stopped turning. You can take the plastic cover off to clean it which I did but the agitator no longer turn appropriately. There is plenty of suction and the flywheel spins but not the agitator. The flywheel has a little gear that sticks on a metal piece, I believe in my case it stripped the inside of the gear so it no longer spins with the flywheel. Perhaps in future models somebody with a brain could design the gear to screw on to the metal piece or have it be one piece. Plastic junk. If stairs are critical pass on this vacuum. I wish I did.

Lightweight & Easy 2 Use
I had my reservations, but I really like it 4.5 stars worth. It’s not the strongest one out there, but it does a nice job of cleaning up all the c r a p (dirt, hair, food, bird feathers, etc.) that ends up on our floors, whether it’s the living room carpet, the dining room rug, or the kitchen hard floors, it takes care of it lickitty split. Thought the swivel was a gimmick, but it does make it easier to drive around. The pix show what it picks up, and it emptied with the simple push of the button. Had a Hoover which had more suction, no swivel, and considerably heavier, plus a poor handle design (it broke). Also had an LG, heavier than the Hoover. This Bissell is easier to use and maneuver on floors & stairs, does a pretty good job, and cost considerably less. Go ahead and get one, it works!

Wanted to like it.
This vacuum had so many great reviews but it won’t work for me. I have vinyl plank in my house (no carpet) and the brush made shiny buff marks on it. If I adjusted the roller to a higher level it didn’t pick up dirt. I also could not use it on my area rugs. It just ate them up. I really wanted to like this vac but I’m too afraid of damage to my floors and not being able to get the dog hair off of my rugs. Back it goes.

All in all this particular Bristol vacuum is okay but you got to clean the filters properly however I think there’s too many gadgets and the hose that comes off the vacuum does not stretch very far otherwise it has been working great it gets a good workout especially with dogs

I’ve had a Dyson for almost 10 years, but its not vacuuming well, despite all troubleshooting. I decided to purchase something cheaper to pick up all the dog hair. Easy to assemble except for the back piece. Husband attached that. Picked up several containers right away, so its doing a great job! I struggled with the chord (kept auto-retracting) until I realized there’s a little clip on the handle to alleviate this. The pet attachment made quick work of my carpeted stairs and couch. It’s light, maneuvers easily and isn’t particularly loud. The extension to elongate the hose isn’t as long as the other model, so I’ll have to use a step ladder more often. My husband loves the auto retraction of the chord. The biggest comparison – if you’ve ever sat in a bottom of the line vehicle and then you sit in a luxury car, there’s a difference. The more expensive model just feels solid.

Performs Well but Rough Seams
Seems to do quite well, pulling up more hair, etc. than the older vacuum it replaced. However, one oddity: The handle is two-piece plastic, with a pronounced ridge between the two. This part of the unit comes assembled, it is not something the user puts together. When you tighten your hand on the grip while vacuuming, the seams dig into your fingers. It’s quite obvious after a few seconds’ use. Halfway through my first use, I applied some heavy-duty clear shipping tape and covered the seams. So far, that’s doing the trick. Might suggest a bit of sandpaper, before applying tape.

Achilles heel
I would rate this unit 5 stars for performance, ease of use and emptying, but it has an Achilles heel; the front undercarriage plate which holds the two front wheels repeatedly breaks. It’s a great vacuum, but once that breaks, I have to order the part and take it to the vacuum repair shop to have it installed. I do not recommend this product based on this one weakness.

This has been a great investment. The only problem I’ve seen is it doesn’t have a light. It’s great picking up dog hair, of which I have a ton, but it should have a light! Easy to put together, I did it myself *pat on the back for me* All in all, I’d buy it again.

This picture is from AFTER vacuuming with my old portable vacuum. Building it was incredibly easy and the suction is outstanding. If you have a pet this is a must; we have a golden retriever who sheds and this has been the only vacuum to keep the house clean. It’s easy to clean too. The only con is that it doesn’t angle to get under furniture or beds; however, in comparison to the pros it’s worth it.

Oh bissel how you disappoint me with this one! Was very excited to use, especially on my higher pule rugs in the bedrooms, unfortunately its hard to maneuver and clunky and loud, it does pickup very well which is why it gets a 3. Overall I would pass on this one and maybe spend a little bit more $$ for something easier to use but with the necessary suction to switch between miltiple floor types. Its quite annoying having to manually turn nobs each time you move to a new floor type.

Cons: When using the hardwood floor setting the roller does not slow down and when I am trying to clean up cat litter it ends up spitting half of it across the floor. When using it on my ruggable rugs even on the highest setting it’s still tries to suck it up. Makes it extremely hard to vacuum it. Pros: I do like the attachment on it for furniture.

Great power, no reach.
This vacuuming has great power. But there are a few cons for me. It’s pretty heavy. The cord is shorter than i expected, not as long as the Shark i had. The hose is too short, yes it does stretch when you need to use the accessories, however the hose is too tight. You cant stretch it out without the entire vacuum falling over. When vacuuming stairs you have to put the vacuum on every step with you or it will just fall over. I will not buy this again.

2 Dogs 2 Cats – Best Purchase Ever!
I have two dogs – a Boston terrier and a Mini Aussie as well as two long haired black cats. So while we’re not a super shedding household, this vacuum picks up literally EVERYTHING. The settings to change how much force to use per type of flooring when vacuuming is life changing. It is amazing and the swivel on this thing is NEXT LEVEL and makes manuerving around so much simpler.

Only lasted 2 months
If I could give this no stars, I would. In less than 2 months the roller brush seized up. The wheels were squeaky. The suction was not as good as cheaper vacuums we had in the past. It also smelled like plastic burning.

Belt broke in 6 months!!
I had a Hoover before that laster 10 years without a single issue. I ended up retiring it because I thought it was time. This Bissell came highly recommended and was great at picking up pet hair from previous home owners. But after very light use, and only 6 months, the belt just up and broke!! I’m pretty disappointed to say the least. I’m hoping for a free belt replacement. If one is sent I will update the review, but it’s incredibly frustrating as I have company coming tomorrow and my floors won’t be clean.

Works well, but someone designed the inner canister with a large lip on it for dog hair to hang up on, so you have to put your hand inside to unclog it frequently. Why?? Base design on the sides is skinny in the middle, wide at the front and back so it catches and bangs against doorways and corners. Why? Hose for the attachments is very stiff and keeps pulling the unit over when you try to stretch it out even a little to use them. The hose needs to stretch to be able to reach what the attachment is trying to clean. It’s a good machine, just has a few major, head-scratching design flaws. I would recommend it IF they fix these issues that never should have gotten past the design table.

Barbie’s First Vacuum
I have had a Dyson Animal for two decades, it is frankensteined, not even sure of the original colors because I have replaced so many parts. I decided to get a new vacuum cleaner, and I am so glad I did not dispose of my Dyson. This Bissell is an utter piece of crap. If you live in a tiny apartment and need something more than a broom to clean, then it would be perfect. That is why it gets three stars. First of all, why is the cord so short? Secondly, when you use the hose and attachment it tips over constantly because it is so lightweight and stiff. Third, the dirt compartment comes off when you swivel which makes the swivel feature redundant. It has dropped on my foot several times and did not feel good. It seems like a functioning child’s toy vacuum quality wise, belongs in Barbie’s dream house. It also gets three stars because there are some pros. 1) The rotating brush does a great job and is easy to clean. 2) The cannister empties really well, and it is also very easy to clean. 3) This is so lightweight easy to take up and down stairs. BISSELL used to be reliable brand, but they have cut so many corners for profit that it has become quite inferior. Which brings me to my last point: Landfill. It saddens me that such an old reliable would make products destined for the landfill. SORRY I AM GOING BACK TO MY DECADES OLD DYSON.

Suprisingly good!
I didn’t have much hope for this vacuum because of its low price but took a chance and boy was I suprised!! I have a Belgiun Sheppard that sheds like crazy this vacuum picked up every piece and hasn’t lost suction in the months I’ve had it. Definitely a bargain and easy to use

Mediocre suction. Not heavy duty for dirt & multiple pets
I am going to give mine away. It never had great suction, the upholstery brush is bizarre and pointless. It has flaps like you find in a car wash that slap against the upholstery. The belt is probably broken because the brush stopped turning. I don’t care enough to throw more money at this. I have four dogs and live in the country. This is supposed to be a pet vacuum. It’s just not strong enough or well made enough for the elements I deal with. If you have one pet and live in the city, it’s probably fine.
