For years I have always purchased my vacuum’s based on “price”. For some reason I felt the more expensive vacuum was better quality I I WAS ABSOLUTELY WRONG !!!! – – It took this purchase of the Bissell® CleanView Swivel Vacuum to proved to me price means NOTHING. It is expertly designed – very easy to use – to empty – to clear the hose of blocks. All the parts click into place perfectly. The suction is unbelievably strong and the hose is nice and long so I can reach up to the ceiling with no problems. I THINK BISSELL DESERVES A THUMBS UP FOR THIS ONE !!!!!
I bought this in September 2024, and the drive belt broke in January 2025. Drive belts and filters are not covered under warranty. Given that these are prone to break, you would think the design would facilitate replacement – but no. Rather than a simple system without screws, you have to remove 7 screws to get to the brush area. In my case, dog hair had built up underneath the belt cover and eventually broke the drive belt. In the picture, the lime green plastic cover on the left is where the belt is. Note that you would have to remove the cover screws to clean the brush or even to simply check for dog hair build up. I bet the screws aren’t under warranty either, since stripping them is all too likely. Otherwise, I love how good a job this does pulling up Golden Retriever fur off the carpet. It is a shame none of the product designers considered whether it is simple to maintain.

I was disappointed with this one. The cord is way too short and got chopped up with the brush! This unit is bulky, hard to use, wide and heavy. It is also very noisy. I have had several Bissell products before and i’m not going back there again! I really should have sent it back, but now it has been replaced. Would not recommend !

Good Upright Vacuum
Being in the dog care business, cleaning floors is an everyday task, often vacuuming 2 to 6 times daily. I chose this Bissell based on both video and written reviews. My previous vacuum was not a Bissell but was in the top 2. I have 100% porcelain tile flooring and only one 10’x10′ area rug (where no dogs are allowed). PROS: Assembly upon arrival took less than 10 minutes and setting it to bare floor was self explanatory and simple. The vacuum has a nice wide suction path and I really like the “squeegee” on the bottom that guides debris into the brush roller over pitching it around like my previous vacuum. The suction is great and the noise isn’t all that bad. The dirt canister is quite sizeable and extremely easy to remove, empty and replace. The swivel feature works great as do the onboard attachments. CONS: The cord is short and I added an 8′ extension to reach 1500′ from a center plug location. The attachments themselves work great but like all onboard systems, the “6′” hose really doesn’t stretch that far without the entire vacuum falling over therefore really giving only 4 to 5 feet of reach at best. The two piece extension wand constantly falls out during regular vacuuming if not snapped in perfectly. They supply 4 attachments but only 3 onboard places to keep them so the least needed one remains on the closet shelf. My last upright vacuum (Shark Liftaway) lasted 8.5 years with heavy use and I’m hoping to get that here. At only $120, and the high usage, that’d be a bargain. The pros and cons are nearly balanced for my usage/criteria and the cons are an important usage feature, so they brought it down a star. I’d definitely recommend this vacuum.

I was skeptical and was leery to purchase but figured if it didn’t work I’d just return it. We have two lab mix dogs and this vacuum by far is the best!! If and when I have to get another I’d get one again and I would recommend this to anyone. It’s great on any surface carpet or hardwood!! Definitely happy with this vacuum and purchase!

Love it! Honestly cleans just as good as my dyson maybe better
My last dyson only lasted about 2-3 years, considering my original I had had for 15 that was shocking. So I had already paid the heavy price tag. This time I looked around, I saw this and am truly pleased with it for the cost. The only negative it doesn’t have the advanced filtering, that may be a big factor and you should consider it…. But since I wasnt’ awesome at changing the filters… I thought it was a fair trade for 200-300 less. Reconsider buying a dyson, I’m glad I did.

Deep cleaning vacuum!
I thought “I’m going to vacuum with my old vacuum first then with the new one.” I did that, then vacuumed again with this new vacuum. Look at all that dirt and hair! I have two little dogs that don’t shed (much). I vacuum a couple times a week. This is just from my office and bedroom. Embarrassing – but I felt that this was such a great product I had to share a review.

Poor Belt Retainer
In their infinite wisdom the belt is held in place by a hard plastic (not resilient) molded screw boss so flimsy looking at it, it will fracture thus causing the belt to fail. Not calling the engineer a moron but I think you can do the math here. There’s no way anyone spent a nickel testing this thing.

Lower rating for always-on brush head
If you’re using the hose or even if the vacuum is standing, the brush head rotates and suction is at work so the ease of use takes a big hit and ultimately it’s also chewed up the carpet

Belt sliding melted path in head.
It seemed to work well, but inside head melted, belt broke we opened it up and not worth fixing as all the melted sharp edges would just shred a new one. Had it 7 weeks so I don’t think it was worth the money.

Died in less than 8 months
Absolute junk! Poor design and cheaply made. Pet hair builds up around the belt until it eventually stops turning. Then it spews out the smell of burning rubber. I took the bottom plate off and cleaned it out once. The second time it got clogged up the belt mechanism stopped working and the roller brush doesn’t work at all now. Dead within 8 months.

We’ve had the Dyson Animal vacuum for a year and this Bissell vacuum picked up dirt, dander, dust, hair, and everything else you could imagine! In one swoop it sucked up literally everything but the carpet in a new home we purchased that previously had a dog. After 4 runs with the Dyson we thought it was clean until the Bissel beast did the job in one go! It’s light, compact, and I can easily carry it around the house and up and down the stairs. Can’t wait to use it once our pets adapt to the home 🥹

Worst Vacuum Ever
I just cannot believe that this has a 4.5 rating. It is without a doubt the worst vacuum I have every had, I bought through Amazon April 2024. I hate it every time I use it. It is hard to push no matter which setting I use, Unfortunately, I did not notice that it does not come with a 2.5ft – 3ft extension (as most machines do )to clean up high. The extension on this machine is 11 inches long. The additional brushes and accessories are worthless. Save your money folks. Pay a little more and get something better. Mine is going to Goodwill.

It’s frustratingly close to perfect
It sucks but in the good way, super fine dust/dirt to coffee grinds out of a carpet this has its place. Plug in power is reliable and I like the retracting cord vs wrapping it up on the back like the old days, yep its a little cheap the hose isn’t very long and neither is the cord, what it’s not short on is power and suction. Also the filter actually works no huge plumes of dust in the air and with how gross and ultra fine it pulls from carpet I’m guessing the old stick vacuum really should hit the bin. This was a budget option for me as I rent a room and from what I miss from a nicer more expensive model I don’t mind as in many ways this does get the job done and exceeds expectations as far as what it picks up. And that in itself is weird, a cheap machine that is actually really good at what it does. Sure the wand attachments and short hose will make this fall over too much, but if you need something to deep clean the carpet primarily than why waste the money on more?

It Sucks!
We love it. It’s light weight and easy to maneuver being compact. Though it’s light it feels durable! Oh, and this thing sucks! Very powerful suction. And with its long cord length we can make it pretty far around my downstairs only moving the cord once. I highly recommend this vacuum! A couple extra bucks over some cheaper options but well worth the $$$!

I have a golden retriever and saw good reviews on this vacuum for people with pets. I got it today and used did the first time. The first photo is from me using it just in 2 rooms. I knew my last vacuum wasn’t working well but I had no idea it was as bad as it was. The second photo is me going over the one of the same rooms again and a small set of stairs! Unbelievable! I’ve been dragging a Hoover around my living room for years. The thing weighs way too much, it’s super loud and doesn’t last more than a year before something goes wrong. I decided to try this vacuum because price was decent and it seems to get good reviews. Amazing. It’s way lighter, quieter, easier to clean out. And it’s on a swivel so it reaches more spots. The only negative is that the cord is unusually short. Comes with great attachments. But every time I try to use them, the vacuum falls on my head because the cord is so short. But please don’t let that deter you. This is a great vacuum cleaner. Just hoping the next model they produce has a longer cord. Also weirdly love that I can see all the dirt I’m getting off the floor.

Wow am I impressed!
I’ve had a Sharp vacuum for the last five years or so. It’s small and easy to maneuver, but I never realized how much dirt I wasn’t picking up until I got this new Bissell! Granted, it’s bulkier, but it’s definitely still easy to work with and wow, is it powerful! I was disgusted by how much dirt I picked up the first time I used it. I have a cat, but I highly recommend this vacuum whether you have pets or not. It’s also very reasonably priced. Extremely happy with this purchase!
