For years I have always purchased my vacuum’s based on “price”. For some reason I felt the more expensive vacuum was better quality I I WAS ABSOLUTELY WRONG !!!! – – It took this purchase of the Bissell® CleanView Swivel Vacuum to proved to me price means NOTHING. It is expertly designed – very easy to use – to empty – to clear the hose of blocks. All the parts click into place perfectly. The suction is unbelievably strong and the hose is nice and long so I can reach up to the ceiling with no problems. I THINK BISSELL DESERVES A THUMBS UP FOR THIS ONE !!!!!
I bought this in September 2024, and the drive belt broke in January 2025. Drive belts and filters are not covered under warranty. Given that these are prone to break, you would think the design would facilitate replacement – but no. Rather than a simple system without screws, you have to remove 7 screws to get to the brush area. In my case, dog hair had built up underneath the belt cover and eventually broke the drive belt. In the picture, the lime green plastic cover on the left is where the belt is. Note that you would have to remove the cover screws to clean the brush or even to simply check for dog hair build up. I bet the screws aren’t under warranty either, since stripping them is all too likely. Otherwise, I love how good a job this does pulling up Golden Retriever fur off the carpet. It is a shame none of the product designers considered whether it is simple to maintain.

The saying goes, you get what you pay for. Well this is that vacuum. First, this smells terrible when it’s on. Like its been sitting in a room full of smokers…GROSS!! Secondly, the cord is not nearly as long as what my 12yr old Dyson was so I constantly have to unplug and move it to another outlet because it’s so short. Then let’s talk about the hose. It’s way too short and every time you use it the vacuum tips over. You can not reach high corners with this hose by any means. The suction is good, but what vacuum is not when you first get it.

Pet hair be gone
This vacuum is lightweight but powerful. It picks up cat hair with very little effort. The swivel makes maneuvering around corners and furniture super easy. I really like that it empties easily and no bags to buy. The only thing I would add is a longer hose. By the way, I don’t think the price can be beat. PS I have 6 indoor cats so there is tons of hair!

5 Years Strong
It’s about time to get a new one but we’ve had ours for 5 years and we are not kind to our vacuums. This one has impressed us especially for it being such a low price! We have used this vacuum as our main cleaning tool in a household with 3 rabbits, 2 dogs and a cat. It has had to stand up to insane amounts of fur, hay, dirt, mud, litter, rabbit droppings, etc. It has clogged many times, but it is easy to clear out and clean up and still has good suction after each time. I’ve loved this thing and all it’s been able to tackle and deal with day to day. I can only hope we didn’t just get lucky with this one and when we buy another it will be just as good! Great vacuum for pet households and considerably cheap for how well it’s worked for us. My only gripe would be the fur removal attachment, it doesn’t grab fur at all which is annoying since it is a pet specific vacuum, but I have other things for that.

We loved this vacuum when we got it. But about a month later it stopped working. The main roller/vacuum no longer picks anything up. The hose, for spot cleaning still works, but obviously we can’t vacuum a whole room like that. Very disappointing… and expensive mistake!

I have a vacuum that is 4 years old. It is in good shape, but I needed a vacuum for a condo I rent out so I ordered this one. Took my used one over there and kept the new one. Now I had just vacuumed Friday before taking it over there and vacuumed today with the new one. I was shocked with the amount of stuff that was picked up by this. I vacuumed two 8 x 10 area rugs and got a full canister. This us a crazy good vacuum. I have three cats and after using this, my place even smells better. I didn’t know it smelled bad before. Juat one more thing, the front of it is thin so it goes under my cupboards very easily which is a plus!

This vacuum is phenomenal! We have a small house on property, so always pretty dusty, 2 cats, 3(!!) Great Pyrenees and a bunch of grandkids. I’ve got a 4 year old Shark vac that worked well..I thought…until yesterday when my new vac arrived and I used it. I. Can’t. Believe what it picked up. I had no clue there was that much puppy fur and dust imbedded in the carpets and on the floors I’d literally vac’d a day before. The suction is perfect, the brushes are amazing and not filled with hair , and this vacuum is REALLY easy to maneuver! The only thing I would change was the cord length..I had to stop and move it a few times. I love the height adjustment, and the container is super easy to clean. 10 out of 10!!

Burnt my carpet and melted
I bought this vacuum because of the positive reviews and was really hopeful we would love it. Since using it the past 2 months, it has burnt my carpet 3 times. Today I was using it on hardwood floor when I noticed the bristles stopped working and smelt a burning. I took the vacuum apart to find the belt that turns the bristles had been melted off and the vacuum was so hot I could not touch it. The screws were stuck due to the plastic getting so hot and melting as well. Because of the positive reviews we wonder if we just got a dud product this time. I’m not sure that anyone has had this same experience. It did work great for the few weeks we had it!

Was good in the beginning and not so much now
We’ve had the vacuum cleaner for about 2 1/2 years and a couple months ago. It started not sucking up even cat hair very well and we don’t have a whole Lotta carpet. It’s mainly LVP. Today after opening it up, cleaning it out and there wasn’t anything in there and it was extremely hot and It still kept trying to chug along. Then it died. Meh… not that great…
So I bought this about three years ago and it was working pretty okay for about a year and a half. I have two cats and this vacuum was working well enough to get most of their fur they shed and the litter scraps and whatever food crumbs that fall out of their mouths. Don’t get me wrong, it takes me an hour at most to vacuum, but I think a good portion of that time was just running over the carpet multiple times to attempt to pick everything up. A year and a half after unboxing this vacuum, it starts spitting out whatever it was sucking up out the back end. So I tried to take it apart and put it back together to see what was up, and that was my mistake, because now the spinny brush makes this HORRIBLE loud noise and smells like burning, but at least it’s sucking things up (which is mediocre at best) and not spitting it back out. I guess it was great for working as long as it did but I’m disappointed in how quickly it stopped working and how poorly it continues to work. At least the cord is long…

There’s no auto cord rewind
It’s my fault. I blindly went by the 17K+ positive reviews, thhinking that no one would give a great review for a vacuum cleaner these days that doesn’t have an auto cord rewind; I have another, much older Bissell vacuum that does. Again, bad on me, but this is going out to vacuum my shed.

The vacuum quickly starts to break down after a few uses. I’ve barely had the vacuum for a year and I’ve had to replace the belt once already and the replacement belt has already burnt up a couple of weeks after it was replaced. There’s no job too serious too tough too crazy for this vacuum now I haven’t tested it out on the extreme but I’ll tell you what no germs no dust no coughing no mess from your kids no mess from your pets we’ll even stand a 1% chance against this vacuum this guy is dead serious and he knows the job he came to do don’t mess around with him or doubt him he’ll get the job done!

We purchased this as we were in the market for a new vacuum cleaner, and we’ve always had great success with Bissell products. This is not one of them. We are having to replace the belt every second usage. It is literally junk, and after four months I’m buying a new vacuum cleaner. Waste of $120.

Faulty Belt
I purchased this vacuum, turned it on, ran a couple swipes over an area rug which is a very low pile rug in my hall and it started smoking and smelled bad. I took it apart and the belt had torn. We boxed it up and sent it back. I stupidly ordered a replacement right away, it was easier than looking for something comparable. I received the new one quickly. Honestly, the same thing happened. The belt tore again. I’ve never had this happen, ever! Granted it’s a cheap vacuum, but I’ve had others that were cheap and they worked great. I normally love Bissell products. Not this one. I sent the second vacuum back in February and I’m still waiting for the refund. DO NOT BUY THIS VACUUM. I’m still a fan of Bissell, just not this item.

Nice for the price
I bought this vacuum to replace a much more expensive Dyson Ball. It seems to do the job and it’s much easier to use since it’s not nearly as heavy to push. So far I’m happy with my purchase.

Great For the Price
This is a very good all around vacuum cleaner. One of its best features (which other vacuums at this price did not have) is the ability to raise or lower the height for better cleaning of different types of flooring. The only minor issue I have is that the there is no specific stair attachment that comes with it. There is a rectangular-shaped tool for pet hair on sofas and padded chairs and another extremely loud attachment for pet hair. I have tried both on my stairs and they work okay, but what is needed is a tool similar to the dusting attachment but designed with shorter bristles or maybe some type of composite tips that can grab the carpet better. This vacuum works very well on all surfaces. The first time I used it, the collection bin was full in no time! I had been using a very old Dyson which was past its prime more than a year ago. This Bissell, Model 2252, has been a great replacement especially for the price. I am very happy with the purchase and will look to see if I can find a different stair attachment. Importantly, I do wash both filters after vacuuming about every three times because I have a cat and vacuum often. I think it will continue to do a great job as long as I do that.

IMO, NOT recommended for hard floors or area rugs. You get what you pay for.
In my opinion, if hard floors and/or area rugs are important areas to be vacuumed, this is NOT the vacuum you should buy. The suction power is fine, but it clearly was designed for wall-to-wall or other fixed carpet flooring. I have, for example, found that the roller height adjustment doesn’t work — or at least doesn’t work well enough to deal with hard floors or very low pile area rugs. Also, the cord is attached at the very bottom of the unit, making it annoying to operate because the cord constantly gets stuck under the unit unless you hold it up at all times — a very poor design choice. Bottom line: You get no more than what you pay for. If you can afford it, buy a much higher quality vacuum.

Good Vacuum With A Couple Flaws
This vacuum cleans very well. The wheels get absolutely no traction on my wood floor so it just slides around while I’m vacuuming. There is no place to store one of the attachments on the vacuum which I find a little annoying. Besides those two things I’ve got no other complaints.

Get it? But really this thing works great. It’s easy to put together. Has some attachments to get into corners and stuff but so far I didn’t have to use those at all because it has these little brushes on the sides of the bottom and it gets in the cracks and creases SO well. I love that I can go from hard floor to carpet without really having to change any settings. The cord reaches pretty far. The clear view front makes it easy for my husband to know when it’s full and needs to be cleaned out! 😅

This vacuum is excellent
I had a cordless stick vacuum that recently stopped working. I thought it was doing a good job, but I wanted to try this vacuum to prevent the same issue from happening with our old one. We have a Red Heeler and two cats so pet fur is everywhere. This vacuum picked up SO MUCH and I am so impressed! I thought the stick vac was doing the trick, but clearly not! Also, the handheld turbo piece cleaned the couches and other fabric surfaces super thoroughly and quickly!

I’ve used this vacuum maybe 3 times since I’ve bought it and the brush roller melted together (as Bissell is know to do). Garbage product, avoid wasting your money.

Shop around for a better option
The hose is too short on this, so when you take it off to use it to suck up small stuff with the attachment it’s an inconvenience. Always hard to reach high places hard to get to. When you’re also using this way, the bottom half still spins so you have to be very careful. You don’t suck up a blanket laying on something or what not because I’ll start a fire.
