I couldn’t get it to pair up with any of my apps. I’m new to all this, so I was probably doing something wrong. I found it too complicated for me. I don’t know if it was broken or I was using it incorrectly. I don’t have the knowledge or time to play with these things. I’ll send it back and get a cheap, simple piece of junk to play with. Just my opinion. You may love it.

Extremely limited and very confusing UI, only provides bare minimum for programming, and is extremely slow to communicate via Bluetooth, and each change require a complete reload after saving, which is terribly time consuming. Doesn’t give descriptions for most of the features and items that it actually does allow changes too, so one must guess, which I would not recommend when programming vehicle coding.

Used this for a road trip in my Ford Mach-E due to my display having issues. This was plugged into the car and I had an iPad Pro M4 running A Better Route Planner suctioned mounted to my display. One way trip was about 5hrs and the OBD reader never had a single issue going to our destination or coming back. One thing I did wish it had was a little switch to turn it off. Since its plugged into the OBD its go power 24×7, and as such, “could” be hacked into to take control of your car when you are away. The obvious thing is to unplug it, but its VERY easy to totally forget you have this thing plugged in. Also worth nothing I used this with Car Scanner as well, had zero issues with that app too. Great little device to get pretty much any type of information from your car!

I cannot recommend this product at this time. Please note that Amazon has provisionally given a refund until they receive the returned product. The blue light was on when plugged, but the scanner could not pair with either my Android or my iPhone nor the apps. I tried the scanner on two different cars, tried unplugging and re-plugging scanner, restarting each phones, using with ignition off, on, with engine off, on. The scanner did not pair with the phones/apps.

I bought this to monitor transmission temperature on 2024 Honda Ridgeline with the CarScanner app for Android. That combination works together fabulously! You want to use transmission variable 2 with that year and model, BTW. The pair have tremendous flexibility so you can adjust the display to suit you and you can access any information available on your car’s OBD port using built in functions in many cases and custom PIDs for others. This plug is reported to work well with other phone apps if you prefer and it has an excellent reputation among users, not just with me. I prefer numeric readouts but gauge displays are available too. Other users report that it works great with iPhones and Car Scanner is available on iPhones. Highly recommended!

Item itself looks good, but not work for BMW IX
I purchased this supposed working for Beamercode on BMW IX cars. Item description did not mention it would not work. But after trying few times not able to connect to the car through it, then I found out none of the OBD dongle on the market would work for BMW IX, since BMW decided to encrypt its OBD port for IX latest software. I wish I found out this information before made purchase.

The device needs a phone or tablet with an appropriate app to work. The device’s abilities are the same as some $1,000 code readers. But, YOU NEED an app for it to work. That app might limit what you can get from this device. It’s compatible with many apps. So, you need to find one your want to use and hope the app has a free trial so you can test it out before making a purchase.

This thing charm . I bought this to replace ATF in my 2012 Camry and 14 Altima CVT fluid . That way i can read AT/fluid temp whats being reported in ECU rather then relying on a thermometer. I got this and paired it with ELM car scanner Pro … pro even have features that you can enable and disable cars hidden features that arent available outside to do it . I.e enable open window open upon long pressed unlocked key in Toyota .

This worked perfectly!It’s was simple to use. If your replacing a battery on a F60 2020 Mini Countryman S. You will need to register the replacement. With this device,bimmerlink app. & full version. It’s very simple! Make sure the old battery & new battery are the same. Take pics or write down your info from on top of the batteries. If not the same you will have to code the battery registration.
