Ok I tried this on 3 automobiles, 2015 Ford F350 diesel, 2021 Nissan armada, and a 1998 Honda Civic. I was really impressed with how much information you could get off of the Ford in the data stream. Also going under special functions there was a ton of special functions that the scan tool would control. On the Nissan, the datastream a spot on, on the system selection, it picked up every module on the vehicle. It was able to go and check for codes and read data stream. On the Honda well there was only ECM data and that was all correct. I would recommend the scan tool. Oh and the coolest part is the dongle is stored in the scan tool.

Best tool I’ve ever owned
If you ever get tired of paying the middleman to tell you what’s wrong with your vehicle, you can buy this unit and bypass them. This unit does it all except fix it for you. With a little bit of mechanical understanding you can do it yourself. I couldn’t believe how accurate it was and how quick it diagnosed my F250 Diesel 6 0. It has already paid for itself in two diagnosis. I’m certainly glad I made this purchase

Great value!
This scanner is definitely worth the price, Topdon easily competes with my other name brand scanners and has became my go to universal tool. You must have a internet connection to auto search Vin numbers but I have no clue if you need it when manually inputting and controlling. I also love the fact your obd2 plug stores inside the scanner itself, so much easier when your juggling a scanner and a handful of tools!

Little tool gets the job done conveniently!
The media could not be loaded. Nothing but good things to say about this thing. It’s convenient, fast, the battery lasts. Seems rugged love that it stores the dongle. It’s not my most powerful tool, but is quickly becoming a favorite to grab for a quick vehicle diagnostic report. Not sure if it works with auto with, potentially the only negative have not had to try it yet.

Excellent scanner …BUT…
Let’s get the negative out of the way first…it DOESN’T PROGRAM KEYS… That’s the main drawback in my opinion. The other minor gripe is that there is no stand on the tablet. Also, being wireless, you cannot attach a j1850 adapter (as used by harley davidson).That’s it. Now as for the rest, it is compact with a great screen, easy to navigate, intuitive menus, and for a wireless Bluetooth, surprisingly fast. Updates load quickly (except for BMW/MINI/ROLLS ROYCE which tool an Incredibly long time) Scans almost any vehicle you’re likely to come across and returns data in several forms. Live data is excellent and graphing is sophisticated and easy to combine and compare. If the 3 minor picks don’t apply to you then add a star. Good mid level diagnostic tool.

Professional scanner for diy price
I’ve been using scanners for almost a decade now so I’ve used quite a few different brands of tools. Every one has pros and cons but this scanner offered solutions to issues I have with other tools in the past. I think my favorite feature is the storage spot for the Bluetooth dongle in the bottom of the tool. The tool will also remind you to remove the dongle from the car after exiting the diagnostic program. Bluetooth connection is so nice after using multiple tools that have hard wired obd connections for years. The display is crisp and bright and easy to see even outside on sunny days. Another issue I’ve had previously was screen shots and recording data. Both are as really easy with just the click of an icon on the screen. And the screen recorder saves everything you see on the screen and you can bounce around to different graphs and data pids and keep it all in one recording. This is a great all around tool for professionals or diy. It’s the perfect size not too big or small.

Does it all!
Bought this for my husband as a birthday gift and he loves it. Instead of just reading diagnostic codes like most OBD scanners this one helps you diagnose the problem and allows you to read codes from all modules instead of just the ECU. You can also read live data and reset service lights to whatever percentage you choose. It has worked with every vehicle we have tried so far. It’s wireless so you don’t have to stay in the vehicle and we have had no problems with it disconnecting. It’s not cheap but if you are looking to do more than just read codes this is worth it.

I Picked up this tool not wanting to pay an arm and a leg for something similar and I was pleasantly surprised. I wanted something with functions other then just reading codes and I was thrilled with the functions it can do. I was worried about having a wireless scanner but after using this I couldn’t go back. It connects instantly with no delay and the GUI is easy to use with little direction. I was also shocked at the amount of updates this came with right out of the box will over 100 vehicle updates to the system. If I had to buy another OBD2 or recommend to a friend I would totally point them towards TOPDON in the future.

Easy to use, finds the problems fast
2014 Dodge Ram 2500 Truck had some electrical issues, we spent hours trying to track down the issue. After buying this unit and plugging it in we found the electrical short that was causing all this issues. This is a must have tool. I have had it about a week and put it up against some of the expensive scanners from the tool trucks and this will definitely hold its own. Wireless and simple
The wireless connection makes this easy to connect. Automatically detects the vin and runs a diagnostic on your car. I’m still learning how to interpret the live data, but this scanner pulls it up and makes it available for me. Overall it’s been a great addition to my garage.

AWESOME SANNNER!!
This thing is truly powerful! Able to scan 160+ makes with bidirectional controls! Comes with a durable case with adaptable power cord depending on where you live. Able to unlock “hidden” features like disabling seat belt dingers and cool things like that. But in order for that you have to download extra software. In my opinion it was no biggie to use this thing to it’s max lol it’s Able to search the internet and all. So far my only downside to it is you have to be connected to wifi at all times to use it so I just pair it to my phones Hotspot lol if your wanting to bite the bullet on a pricey scan tool I promise you this is the one I have absolutely no regrets with it. Does ALOT more than I expected!!

Amazing product
As car prices are getting more outrageous, I’m doing more service to my cars so I can keep them longer. I was at the point where I wanted more than my $100 scanner could do. From watching Youtube videos, I decided I needed a Bi-Directional scanner so I can do more in-depth monitoring of my cars and more complex diagnosing. I watched many videos and saw the name Topdon and started looking at this model. It’s a midrange scanner and exceeds what I need know but I know I will grow into it. One thing I wanted was a scanner that did in depth transmission diagnosis. These screen shots are from a 2017 Traverse and wow does it have a lot of modules this scanner can talk too. Another thing I recommend is get used to the menu system as I would find a test and then later not remember where I found it. The screen shots above show the path to get to the features I need. I see long term fuel trim is off a little and I need to investigate that. Maybe the air cleaner is dirty or worse and a rodent may have made a nest in the airbox and is messing up the fuel trim. The blutooth wireless connected quickly with the scanner and worked flawlessly. There is lots more to learn about this and I watched the Topdon Youtube video on the many features which helps me see the power of this unit. This unit feels well put together and not cheaply made. The only thing I see missing is a kickstand in the back to stand the unit up. You will be impressed with this unit.

Amazing!
This scanner is very good! User interface is nice and simple to use. The auto scan for vin number comes in very handy. I’ve tried on newer Mercedes and old Jeep, this scanner picked right vehicle up no problem. I use Snap-on or Autel for more technical work daily. Surprisingly this little guy from topdon can do a lot of stuff. Like resetting adaption or maintenance light, this one get done quick. Definitely recommend this one for most of diyers or mechanics just need quick resetting modules!!

Very useful
This scanner is pretty awesome. opened it up and it had a software update to complete which it finished quickly. I plugged it in to my f250 to see how it worked and I was impressed with how quickly the Bluetooth receiver connected to the scanner. It’s a pet peeve of mine when Bluetooth devices don’t connect on the first attempt. The next thing I was impressed with is how many things it can monitor. Must have been hundreds of options from engine hours and number of ignitions, to throttle position and torque. I really only bought it for diagnosing problems but will probably mount it in the truck on long road trips with the trailer to better monitor the trucks performance. Another thing I am excited about is using this before purchasing a used vehicle. I feel like there is no hiding from this thing. Overall I am giving this 5 stars for its user friendly interface, sturdy construction, and it’s capabilities. I will update when I use it to diagnose a problem.

Great scanner packed full of features
I didn’t know what to expect when I ordered this scanner but I have been wanting a full function scanner for awhile. I didn’t want to pay the crazy prices for snap on since I mainly just needed something to use on friends and family vehicles at my house. Let me tell you this scanner is great it is packed with features more than I could ever use it’s even blue tooth so there are no wires that restrict you to only being able to use it while you’re inside the vehicle I can move around the car freely bringing it with me while running tests. It also covers basically every make and model you could need. I am very happy with this purchase and couldn’t recommend it enough.

This thing is awesome. First of all the Bluetooth dongle is a game changer. It’s so convenient to use without being tethered by a cord to the usb port. Can’t beat it for the price
I need to use a scanner pretty much daily. For the price, you just can’t beat this scanner. It’s fast (especially with newer cars) and it can do a deep scan and show codes that other scanners can’t in my experience. It has so many features. Some I haven’t been able to explore but am looking forward to it. I own 4 scanners and this one has made the rest practically useless. The battery life is great. My friend was having an issue with his BMW and i just got the package. Went and helped him out and the tool helped figure out it was just his Mass air flow sensor so we did our diagnostic and replaced the part and his BMW worked good as new!

Great wireless scantool
The media could not be loaded. Since I’ve bought this scantool it has helped a lot in quick situations with car manufactures that my oem subaru work computer can not read. The Bluetooth dongle is great and allows me to not have to sit in the car to read any codes or live data that I may otherwise need a wired connection for. It tells you it comes with 2 year free subscription but upon inspection mine actually came with 3 free years so that’s even a bigger plus in my book. You can do many manufacture specific functions such as programming keys, tpms monitors and actuate solenoids and other things among those. The only thing it can’t do it is key programs for newer cars requiring encrypted codes from the manufacturer. The battery life has been great I’ve only charged it one time since I received it, and you also get a nice case to store or travel with the scan tool depending on what you do. The Bluetooth dongle goes right into the scanner and the scanner itself isn’t too heavy or bulky. I would definately recommend this for anyone looking for an alternative to a big name brand such as snapon
