I had been eyeing this machine for years after seeing it on social media. I couldn’t pull the trigger because it is expensive and the reviews were a bit mixed. When I saw it for sale with a steep discount during Prime day, I finally committed and I am so glad I did. I am a busy mom of 4 who just doesn’t have time to mop everyday (or week unfortunately). We have tile in the kitchen and hardwood floors where we eat. The kitchen tiles were NEVER clean. I sometimes steamed them twice in a row and then used a regular mop and the floors still didn’t pass the “paper towel” test. Enter Tineco. As soon as I charged it for the first time I did my tiled floors. I did 2 rounds just because I wanted to give the machine a fair shot on floors that never seemed to get clean. Oh my gosh, for the first time EVER there was no residue on a paper towel when I wiped the floor. None whatsoever. I’ve seen complaints about the battery but I have a 3600 sq ft house. I bought the combo (more in that later) which I think has a shorter battery life than the regular Tineco — I can still do my whole first floor before the battery even gets to 30%. I did my entire kitchen, eat in area, living room, dining room, and the first floor bathroom tonight and it was at 40%. I did have to clean the dirty water tank once and add fresh water but I don’t mind. I bought the combo — I wish I would have bought just the regular one. I have yet to use the hand vac and I honestly don’t think I ever will. I can just use our regular vacuum if I need to get into tight crevices. That is my only regret with this machine. Cleaning is a breeze. I had an issue the first time running the self clean — it kept telling me to clean the dirty water tank even though it was clean. I ended up just manually starting the self clean function and it worked like a charm. This machine saves me so much time and now my floors are clean. It takes not even 5 minutes to clean the machine when I’m done (wash the dirty water tank, the roller, wipe down the machine, etc) and that’s because I really want to take care of the machine. You probably don’t need to be as diligent as I am. I did notice it leaves slight streaking on my darker hardwood floors (nothing on my light hardwood). It is minimal and doesnt bother me whatsoever. All in all, I love this machine and so far I don’t regret this purchase whatsoever. I hope this review helps someone who may be contemplating!
I bought the machine three months ago. It is not working correctly. You have to put it on the charger to start the machine. I called the company they had me ship the machine back for repair receive the machine back with the same issue now they want to send me a refurbished machine! After spending almost $500 on a new machine, I have to except a refurbished machine. And they threaten you if you put a negative review.

Stopped working after 5 months
I absolutely loved this…. Until it stopped working after 5 short months. Even then, I wasn’t too worried because it’s still under warranty. Unfortunately, the company makes it ridiculously difficult. My issue is the battery. It goes from 100% to dead in seconds. I contacted the company, and after being on hold forever they asked for my email to send a return label. Then, the email comes, no return label, they want the serial number, and I need to find a box big enough to ship the entire thing back (assuming I ever get the label). I think they purposely make you jump through unnecessary hoops so you won’t go through with the return. For something that costs nearly $500, I expected better.

Best combo I have used
I bought this after reading the reviews and it does not disappoint. It cleans exceptionally well just make sure to clean the tank and roller between uses. You should take the roller out after a few uses and clean it by hand. It picks up better then my corded vacuum and does not leave the area soaked (sucks up the water well). If you’re trying to get clean water you’ll have to pass through the area a few times just because the roller is also dirty. I’m usually happy after one pass which is saying alot with two long haired dogs.

Leaks!
This floor cleaner has been the most complicated and unreliable hunk of junk. After i clean the for with it, i have to use a traditional mop to clean the leaks from the dirty water tank, what’s the point? I read the entire manual, followed instructions and it does not perform the way it says it would. The battery doesn’t last long, the water tank doesn’t last, and the stupid thing leaks dirty water randomly. I called tineco to resolve but there was no answer. I called Amazon for product support, they transferred me 5 times and no help. Overpriced and super stressful.

Needs a different battery system
This is a life saver! My only complaint is the battery. I have about 1300 sq. ft. of hard surface flooring and I have to charge it twice to get it all done. Each charge takes a few hours, so it is very difficult to clean it all in one day. They need to go to a battery system like power tools have where you can switch out the battery and put another charged battery in and keep on going. If you have a smaller home this isn’t an issue and I’m sure you would be very happy with it. If I had to replace this I would probably buy a Bissel with a cord.

Broke after 3 months
This machine is more convenient than sweeping first then mopping, but not worth the headache of it breaking 3 months after purchase. I sent it in for repairs 2 weeks ago since it’s still under warranty, but has already stopped letting the water out of the sprayer just like it did before they “fixed it”. At first, the Tineco performed well; however, after a year or so it constantly says “clean dirty water tank”. The dirty water tank is spotless, has no obstructions, but continues to say this constantly. When submitting a ticket with Tineco, the only response was ensure that it was clean and clear of debris. I’ve spent more time troubleshooting and fighting with this mop than actually being able to use it to clean my home.

I LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS PRODUCT except how fast the tank gets full. But I love how it cleans and I can even get my carpet clean when there is a quick mess. The fact that I don’t need to clean a mop anymore is a plus! Battery does die a bit quick but I am able to do my whole apartment on one charge. It was also easy to assemble and fits in small areas. No more bumping into furniture and not fitting. I did find it very helpful if you have dogs that shed to vacuum first then use the vacuum mop you won’t have to clean the tank as often and makes it so much better. I love it.

Just save yourself the money…You’ve been warned…
I wanted this vac to be good, I heard good things, I was so excited, it looks so cool. I paid the $600 for a machine that promised to change my cleaning routine…HOWEVER…This is hands down the absolute worst appliance I have ever, in my 41 years on this planet, spent money on. Maybe if you’re playing house and want to pretend to clean it’s ok. Maybe if you have that bougie money and you want to pretend to clean after your household staff leaves, this might be ok for you. There is absolutely no suction power, if there is so much as a grain of sand on the floor, it will shut down and tell you that it needs the dirty water tank drained even though the tank is completely empty. The roller bar gets clogged quickly, and if there are liquids on the floor, it will just push them around without actually picking anything up. I didn’t mind that this was a delicate piece of machinery that needed to go through a cleaning cycle every 15minutes (no joke), but I can’t get it to charge properly and if it can’t charge, it won’t self clean. If it can’t self clean, it will keep shutting itself down. In the off chance I can get it to charge, the cleaning cycle stops frequently and says the dirty tank needs to be drained, again, it’s almost always empty. I only use the Tineco cleaning fluid, I (try) to keep it charged, I (try) running the cleaning cycle all of the time, I clean it out. I don’t expect it to do big cleaning but this is just a complete failure of a wet vac. I spend more time attending to the needs of this little thing than I do actually tidying my house. Now maybe, if your house is already squeaky clean and you just want that extra, then this is the wet vac for you. Otherwise, there are other options out there to explore and you should. Don’t spend your money on this!!

Life Saver!
This is absolutely perfect! My husband got this for me as a gift and is hands down the best thing I have ever received. We have 2 kids and 2 dogs. I typically run our shark robot vacuum or actually vacuum before using. I have never tried without due to the amount of dog hair. It makes mopping so much easier. I did read other reviews before picking out which one I wanted. Following those reviews I run the cleaning cycle and then rinse all of the parts in hot water. It’s a very quick and efficient for clean floors!

Marginally better then a Swiffer Moo
If you have dogs and a large amount of tile this is not the option for you. The quality of cleaning is sub par and marginally better then a Swiffer Mop. It’s clogged and the charge lasted significantly less then advertised despite allowing it to charge for a full 24 hours before use. I like the idea of the combo but for this price the quality is not there.

The machine stopped working after a year
The machine stopped working after a year and when I sent it back to them they refused to fix it or give me my money back and they said they will take 250$ depreciation from the coast. So basically the warranty 2years but they will not fix anything for you so it’s just an ink on a paper

This tool does not get the floors as clean as it states. It takes several passes to clean. Today it started leaking out of the sides and wouldn’t not suction the water. An old fashioned mop can do the same with good cleaner.

Loved at first then….
I loved this product at first and would use it weekly, but after a couple of months the battery life would deplete faster and faster with each use. Now after about 6 months, I get less than 30 seconds of use on a full charge!! 🤬 Not worth the money for only 6 months of use. DO NOT BUY!!

This product was easy to assemble. At first the Wi-Fi wouldn’t connect. It is light and self propels to some degree. I LOVE the self cleaning mode. There were some tougher spots on my kitchen floors that the machine did not remove. My bissell in the past would remove those types of debris. It didn’t seem like it was cleaning much but the tank ended up being full of dirty water so it definitely did clean. Overall, I like it. The battery didn’t seem to last 35 minutes but I will set a timer next time.

This product is the best. I have dogs and I needed a vacuum and a floor mop and this does that. All the parts come apart so it can clean it all out. The dog hair gets sucked up, but doesn’t get stuck. It really does well on my floors. The charging is super easy and it self cleans. The weigh is light and the speed is great. All together amazing!

Does not work as intended, even after warranty repair
I did not expect to be so frustrated by a VACUUM of all things, but here we are. Since the day we got it, we could fill maybe a quarter of the dirty water tank before it refuses to turn on anymore until it is emptied. Half the time, you can completely empty and clean the dirt water tank, reinstall it, and it STILL refuses to turn on while it asks to empty the dirty water tank. We thought we must have a defective unit, so we sent it in under warranty. The warranty process was relatively painless. Unfortunately, the “fix” resulted in only an extremely small improvement. We can now fill the dirty water tank a quarter to half way a little more consistently, with it refusing to turn on with an empty and clean tank only a quarter of the time now. And the feature I was most excited about, the self cleaning? It shuts itself off mid-clean to “empty dirty water tank” on AVERAGE four times per cycle. I literally have to stand next to it and re-push the self clean button so it continues the process multiple times every single time. To put it plainly, the thing is a gigantic overpriced piece of junk. I would have ditched it and went back to Bissel, but after spending $500 on this thing, I can’t exactly afford to. So now I’m stuck trying to clean up after a puppy every day using a non-functional vacuum that cost half a grand.

only gives light low pressure mopping
Ok the concept of a cordless mop/vacuum combo is life changing, but this model is disappointing especially for the price. It applies very little scrubbing pressure on my laminate flooring and does a poor job of cleaning anything that is not completely fresh. Water spots from the day before may take 10+ passes and are often still not removed, even with very hot water and the cleaning solution provided. These are spots that come off easily with light hand pressure and a rag. Perhaps my type of flooring is hard for it which is the very common laminate with “wood grain” variations of surface depth. For the first week or two I was in love because it performs excellently for crumbs and dust and for fresh spills, e.g. spilled milk/cereal is spotless after one or two passes. But after looking closely at my floors I saw it was leaving a lot behind. Otherwise, love. Please fix this Tineco!

Battery is a JOKE!
I wish I could get my money back. The clean water tank needed to be replaced, water was just leaking out. Will not hold a charge, it’s 7 months old. The manufacturer wants me to mail it to them so they can work on it. I should have been given a new one. I have 3 issues in 7 months!

It worked well when it actually worked
It was a great machine when it worked. After a year of use once a week, the plastic housing holding the clean water tank disintegrated where the screws held it together. The company is refusing to warranty it or even sell me that plastic piece so I can fix it. The machine started leaking water everywhere and wouldn’t distribute the cleaning solution. They offered 10%off on a new machine but I can’t afford a new one in this economy since now they are over $400 and some over $500. Beware as they won’t stand behind their product!

I bought this back in May 2023 and I absolutely loved my Tineco. Indid read the review stating all the issues and problems that come along with this product but I decided to buy it any ways. Now comes October and it’s not working properly. It keeps telling me that the water tank is full when it’s empty. It’s also leaving big streaks of water after using it. This item is 50/50. It’s absolutely great when it’s working but it does not last long before something messes up. Note: I have contacted the company’s customer service and they are really fast at getting back to you. I have to send them pictures and videos of the issue before they can give me an option on what to do next.

Pros: 1. It is an amazing device while it lasts. My floor was super fresh and clean, I saw how much dirt it sucked in. 2. It is cordless, very handy for the households with small children. Just take the vacuum and clean the mess. 3. It is 2 in 1: I didn’t need to vacuum and then do the mopping, it saved me a lot of time! Cons: 1. It only took 2 month for this device to break. From the reviews I discovered it’s a common issue with Tineco, the device ‘brain’ tends to break after a couple months of use. Mine started acting up after 2 months of use, and after 6 months it stopped working completely. It kept shutting off asking to restart the device or just complete shut off, just black screen. I tried cleaning the device, tried replacing the filter, the roller, charging it (even though it was fully charged always), nothing helped. 2. Customer service is a joke. I spent 2 hours on the phone with customer service, trying to get to a person and after that I had to send them videos of the mop not working. I also had to buy my own box to ship it back to them. 3. IT SMELLS! I cleaned it vigorously. After each use I would turn on self cleaning and clean dirty water tank. Every night I disassembled the parts of the mop, cleaned them and waited until it’s not wet anymore. Nothing helped, it still smelled bad. After some time I realized it’s the filters, so I replaced them. The smell came back after just a couple of weeks after I replaced the filters. It cost me $42 to buy the filters and now I realized I will have to pay $40-$80 a months just to support this mop. A tip: I tried putting the filters and the rollers in a laundry bag for delicates in my washing machine using delicate cycle. This is the only thing that helped me with the smell! In the end, I decided to get rid of the mop instead of sending the mop to the customer service, mainly because the horrible smell has spread to each part of the mop. Washing the filters didn’t work anymore because the mop started being stinky from the inside, even though I used to spend 30 minutes every single evening to clean it. I figured, I have a full time job and 2 little kids, I have no time to search for an appropriate shipping box, carry the mop to UPS, wait for God knows how many weeks until they fix it and finally it won’t solve the smell issue. So I bought a Bissel instead, they have a decent customer service and their devices last longer then 2 months.

I got my Tineco S5 Combo today,charged it fully and used it for the first time.Worth every dollar spent on this.It is so easy to use and cleans the floor like a dream.I was surprised to see the amount of dirt this little machine picked up.Also it is very easy to maneuver.

Can’t use on carpet
Didn’t realize that this was a hard wood floor vacuum only. I figured for $500 you would be able to toggle between floor modes so you could vacuum a few area rugs in the room. Nope. Still need another vacuum for that. For what it does – it’s okay. I think it’s overpriced but pretty cool. Wish I didn’t have carpet I guess.

The media could not be loaded. Not worth the price. I actually agree with the other review that gave two stars. I was not impressed at all. I actually complained to the company about how upset I was with this product. All I got was the run-around asking me to clean the roller heads, clean after each cleaning, etc. I did all of that and it did not matter. Having to pour the water out and pull the pet hair from the container does not qualify it as “self-cleaning” nor hands free. It was nasty. The same thing had to be done with the roller (each time). If you have major spills or set in dirt and grime, this will not be the cleaner for you. It is lightweight and using the handvac was ok, ,but did not really provide enough suction to even remove the pet hair from the car seats in the car. You have to charge the machine for 4 hours to even get a full charge. It constantly asks you to self clean and empty the dirty water tank or replace the clean water tank during your cleaning cycles of 15 minutes or more. I emptied the dirty water tank at least 3 times each time I have used it. Again, unless you have immaculate floors already and no grimy floors from high traffic, then you will need to continue to clean before you try and clean (which defeats the purpose). Use your judgement here. I have four animals. It may work for someone who does not have dogs and cats.Good luck!

Just received it today and so far I am thoroughly impressed!!! It is a little smaller than I expected but honestly it doesn’t matter because it vacuumed up EVERYTHING and got the tempura paint right off the floor in my playroom. It works GREAT. As long as it continues to work, I am pretty sure this is the best vacuum I have ever bought in my life.
