I had been eyeing this machine for years after seeing it on social media. I couldn’t pull the trigger because it is expensive and the reviews were a bit mixed. When I saw it for sale with a steep discount during Prime day, I finally committed and I am so glad I did. I am a busy mom of 4 who just doesn’t have time to mop everyday (or week unfortunately). We have tile in the kitchen and hardwood floors where we eat. The kitchen tiles were NEVER clean. I sometimes steamed them twice in a row and then used a regular mop and the floors still didn’t pass the “paper towel” test. Enter Tineco. As soon as I charged it for the first time I did my tiled floors. I did 2 rounds just because I wanted to give the machine a fair shot on floors that never seemed to get clean. Oh my gosh, for the first time EVER there was no residue on a paper towel when I wiped the floor. None whatsoever. I’ve seen complaints about the battery but I have a 3600 sq ft house. I bought the combo (more in that later) which I think has a shorter battery life than the regular Tineco — I can still do my whole first floor before the battery even gets to 30%. I did my entire kitchen, eat in area, living room, dining room, and the first floor bathroom tonight and it was at 40%. I did have to clean the dirty water tank once and add fresh water but I don’t mind. I bought the combo — I wish I would have bought just the regular one. I have yet to use the hand vac and I honestly don’t think I ever will. I can just use our regular vacuum if I need to get into tight crevices. That is my only regret with this machine. Cleaning is a breeze. I had an issue the first time running the self clean — it kept telling me to clean the dirty water tank even though it was clean. I ended up just manually starting the self clean function and it worked like a charm. This machine saves me so much time and now my floors are clean. It takes not even 5 minutes to clean the machine when I’m done (wash the dirty water tank, the roller, wipe down the machine, etc) and that’s because I really want to take care of the machine. You probably don’t need to be as diligent as I am. I did notice it leaves slight streaking on my darker hardwood floors (nothing on my light hardwood). It is minimal and doesnt bother me whatsoever. All in all, I love this machine and so far I don’t regret this purchase whatsoever. I hope this review helps someone who may be contemplating!
I bought the machine three months ago. It is not working correctly. You have to put it on the charger to start the machine. I called the company they had me ship the machine back for repair receive the machine back with the same issue now they want to send me a refurbished machine! After spending almost $500 on a new machine, I have to except a refurbished machine. And they threaten you if you put a negative review.

I love this product.
I love this floor cleaner. I’ve read the reviews from people who say the machine starts to smell bad, so each time I empty the dirty water tank I clean it very carefull making sure to get all of the bits of dirt and hair out of it. Then when I am done with the floors and after running the self-cleaning mode, I use very hot water at the sink and the brush to make sure the roller is clean and then use my hand like a squeegie making sure to get most of the water out and then let it air dry. It’s still much easier than a mop and the machine is very light and self-propelled. So much easier to use and it really does a great job.Also, mine has never clogged. I did a demo for some friends on their floors and all 3 of them bought the machine.

Good wet vacuum but high maintenance
You should know that you will need to clean the Dirty Water Tank EVERY SINGLE TIME and often SEVERAL times on the same day as you are vacuuming. And, that is no fun. Also, if you forget to empty the dirty water tank, you will get a very foul odor from the device, which seems impossible to get rid of. Although I love that this vacuum cleans my wood floors well and is more convenient than say, a BONA mop, the cleaning of the tank and the foul odor if one forgets is a big negative.

So I just got off chat support because my 2 year old Tineco that I loved started shutting down unexpectedly. Chat support informed me it’s a motor issue but unfortunately it’s out of warranty. A $500 product. I asked them to escalate it and they offered to give me a discount on a new unit (undisclosed discount based on different models). I declined and just asked them to replace my unit. They declined and said they could escalate higher, which I agreed. They are to email me within 24 hours. A product of this quality and price point should not be having motor issues after two years. I will update my review if they resolve this.

TERRIBLE QUALITY. I did research for months trying to find the best vacuum mop. It stopped charging after a few months of having it. Best pet hair vacuum/ mop combo
I am VERY picky about my vacuums since I have a GSD that sheds like crazy and loves to track dirt in my house….this vacuum/mop combo has alleviated the need for me to sweep, vacuum and then mop. This vacuum does it all very efficiently in one step and it is super to easy to use! i have been using it for a few months and cannot imagine going back to my normal time consuming routine with a regular vacuum. It is a great product for the price….would highly recommend it anyone who has a dog that sheds or messy kids who like to leave crumbs behind.

The thing is amazing. It saves me from both sweeping and mopping. It’s a HUGE time saver, especially if you have very little carpet and pets who get muddy paws. I was going to pay someone to wash my floors but not anymore! 1. People give it a bad review for not being able to pick up things stuck on the floor. There is a solution. Bend over and pick it off yourself. It cleans regular dirty floors really well. If it could pick up stuck on things it would scratch your floor. 2. If it breaks right away they were unlucky and got a lemon. Solution- always buy an extended warranty when buying an expensive device. 3. I clean it out every single time and use a little straw cleaner to scrub out the area between the brush and dirty water area. It can collect dog hair etc. 4. I run it over my door mats as well and it works great. 5. It’s light, quiet, and really easy to maneuver. If you are elderly you could easily use this. 6. Even if it broke after a year I couldn’t live without it and I would buy another one. I don’t know if it is the best if you compare it to other brands like it, but I don’t think it could do much better. Con- it doesn’t really reach the cracks in tile floors, but it doesn’t claim that it would. I would say it did poorly on the grout but great on the tile surface. I still use it on my tile and then mop infrequently to deep clean. It’s still better than mopping all the time.

Tineco went above and beyond to make their customers happy
So I bought it in Nov 2022, was experiencing battery issues (couldn’t be fully charged or lost battery super fast when using) 2 months ago – 2 years of daily use. Contacted their customer support and they said they’ll fix it – they even paid for the shipping and provided the shipping label. I sent it to their service center and got it back in ~ 2 weeks. Is this typical for this vacuum model? I’ve come across information online suggesting that thoroughly cleaning the sensors can help prevent this issue, and I’ve done that multiple times without any success. It has become quite a hassle to use this vacuum; after just ten minutes of operation, the dirty water tank indicates it’s full, even though it’s only at about twenty percent capacity. I bought this floor vac/mop in July 2023. In January 2025 I called their customer service because the machine no longer charged properly and would only run for 30 seconds when at full charge. They walked me through the repair process, I sent the machine to them, they repaired it, and sent it back to me. It works like new! Very happy with their customer service! And the vac/mop saves me so much time and is so easy to use! Definitely recommend!

I honestly have had enough of it! I have a two story house, and the second floor is carpet, so i only need it to clean downstairs like around 2000sf. IT NEVER EVER CAN FINISH EVEN ONCE ON ONE CHARGE! every charge can only mop nearly half of my floor, with at least 8-10 times of dumping and refilling water and solution! I really, really hate this product. It doesn’t reduce any of my human labour! Also it cannot clean any edge nor corner, leaves an obvious line of every edge it cleans, and i have to wipe the edges to make they look clean as well. Hell don’t buy it!

Seemed to work fine for exactly one year then the clean water supply bin quit supplying water to the floor. Therefore it is essentially useless

It did not clean my floors any better than a regular spin mop. On one charge it would only do 2 to 3 rooms. And constantly having to fill the tanks and empty the tanks. I was not happy with it, sent it back and they charged me $53 damage fee. My suggestion is it’s only good for spot cleaning.

Worst Tineco vac!
I’ve owned multiple tineco wet vacs and this has been the worst machine I’ve ever owned! I’ve sent it in to be repaired they Sent it back still not working! It never worked from day one do not recommend this Tineco!

Horrible experience!
We ordered one back in November and it wasn’t working properly it kept asking me to fill up with water when the tank was completely full, I returned and got a replacement then the second time I tried to use it looks like the charging base doesn’t work anymore (I only used it ONCE) and it’s less than a month old 😮💨 Don’t waste your money!!!

Does NOT clean floors properly
I wanted to love this product. Unfortunately my return window closed so I cannot return it. It did not clean my floors well AT ALL. It left smudges and streaks. I opted for a manual wring mop and that worked wonders in comparison. If you’re looking for something that cleans your floors spotless, opt for a manual wring mop. Also, cleaning the machine after each use is a chore all on its own! Hope this helps. Picture attached is after my dog walked on the floor, but you can see the streaky film under his paw marks.

Extremely Disappointing Warranty and Customer Service
I am beyond frustrated with the warranty and customer service from this company. I purchased a very expensive product, expecting high-quality support if any issues arose. Unfortunately, that has not been the case. Despite reaching out for help with a problem, the warranty has done absolutely nothing to resolve the issue. It feels like the company is only interested in making sales, not standing behind their products. For a product of this price, I expected much more, and the lack of support has left me incredibly disappointed. I will not be purchasing from this company again, and I strongly advise others to think twice before investing in their products.

Review for Tineco Vacuum – 2 Years of Use
I’ve had my Tineco vacuum for about two years now, and overall, I really like it. It does a great job cleaning my tile floors, and I use it about three times a week. With that level of use, I’ve found that I need to replace the roller every three months, which seems reasonable. One downside is the battery life. You start at 100%, and within 30 seconds, it drops to 98%, so you have to be mindful and plan your cleaning efficiently. Also, your tile needs to be level—if it’s not, the vacuum can leave dirty water marks. Other than that, the machine works well, and Tineco’s customer service has been great. If anything goes wrong, you can send it back, and they take care of it. The warranty provides extra peace of mind, making it a solid investment for keeping floors clean.

Love, Love this vacuum
I got this because I use a mop on my floors. I still vacuum first with my normal vacuum cleaner, then I go over with it with this machine and then mop it. I feel that it is getting my floors a lot cleaner than they were. I have 3 dogs and there is a lot of traffic on my floors. It was worth the money.

Can’t replace battery
I purchased the S5 series. I had it for 2 years and it did a good job. Then the battery quit charging. Tried to order one and they said the battery is none replaceable on this machine. Nowhere in my manual does this state that. Customer service didn’t offer anything. I wouldn’t buy Tineco again. As much as I like them, I’m getting frustrated with battery operated tools. Going back to my plug in steam cleaner. Paid over $400 for this Tineco.

Too small – even for small houses
Water tank and dirty tank too small. House is only 1200 sq ft and have to change/fill it 3 times during a cleaning. Also use the entire charge and have to charge again. Especially since you need at least 20% to do cleaning cycle. Does not get into grout areas well. Need a scrubbing roller. Like using it as a hand vac – good power. Like the way it glides across the floor Charges fast

My hardwoods look great after Tineco
I love the Tineco mop vacuum! It’s easy to use, cleans magnificently, and makes my floor cleaning so much better. I didn’t realize how dirty my floor really was until my Tineco! It is a little time consuming to clean but I don’t mind. The benefits far outweigh the time spent cleaning the machine.

Disappointed
Received a refurbished/used Tineco mop in a plain brown box, instead of an original box. Makes a grinding noise during self cleaning and water spits out the sides of base. Disappointed Tineco has gone down hill.

MALFUNCTIONS/TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
Works well when it wants to work…. Mine has been malfunctioning telling me to clean the dirty water tank when it is completely empty. I have cleaned all the other parts to the vacuum and it does not let you run the vacuum if it is giving you these types of notifications. Forget contacting customer service for your warranty… they do not honor it past 30 days. They will try to send you new pieces and not the full product so that you can try to fix it yourself-doesn’t work… call customer service and no one can speak English, chat with them online and it takes forever and they just reply “sorry for the inconvenience”. Very expensive product that is more work than it’s worth.

I have several friends that have this vacuum/mop and they all said it changed your “cleaning life” – I totally agree! I no longer dread cleaning my floors. This is so easy to use and very easy to clean. My floors have never been cleaner! I love how quiet it is and it does a terrific job picking up the dirt. I would recommend this to everyone!!

Might work if you have a postage stamp sized floor.
Cleans well enough but not great. Charge only lasts 30 minutes and takes 4 to 5 hours to recharge. No option for a backup battery. You have to go very slowly with several passes to get full cleaning so I only got about 400 square feet done on one charge; and i had to refill the clean water tank and empty the dirty water halfway through. Nice idea, terrible execution. 0 bang for $400 bucks.

Broke after a few weeks
Item inoperable after just a few weeks of use. The washer won’t charge. Contacted the company about warranty, had a lengthy call to trouble shoot, and have not heard back. It was a great product while it worked- sadly not for long.

I dont know how I lived without this
This vac-mop is awesome. It cleans my floors without leaving streaks, and does not take much effort to lift up mud or salt. Some minor design flaws; if you add just a tad too much cleaner solution to the clean water tank, it WILL spill over the edge during the self-clean cycle (the S5 combo does not do that) also during the self clean cycle it prompts me to empty the dirty water tank even when its barely 1/3 full, i just push the self clean button again and it’ll finish the cycle, then I empty the tank. This WILL start to smell if you don’t use it very often since the roller brush never typically dries off (I use mine every day so I don’t have this issue however my mom only uses hers once or so a week) so I do recommend doing a self clean cycle every couple days to keep it from stinking. Even with the flaws I still love the ease of this vac-mop and would recommend it to anyone that has a lot of hard surfaces to keep clean.

Good cleaner
When you empty the dirty water tank, you see how much dirt this vacuum cleaner cleans up. It is light and does the best job on the laminate floors as opposed to rugs. My only disappointment is that it is a bit large to clean under cabinets and the handle doesn’t lie horizontally enough to get under the couch completely like other vacuums that I have used.

Love it! Love, love, love it! It made my life easier, happier and cleaner. I did a research of vacuums that mop and do actual vacuum cleaner work at the same time and Tineco is the best one. Usually that kind of cleaners just wash the floor but don’t do suction, that was very important for me. So,choose your model and enjoy

Motor failed
The machine was great while it worked. However, at about 1.5 years, the motor failed and it stopped sucking up the water. This machine is way too expensive for its life span. Buy at your own risk.

Constant message “cleaning effect isn’t good”
Unfortunately will be returning this. I’ve only had it for 2-3 weeks and I’ve had to change out brush roller 5 times already and it STILL stands “cleaning effect isn’t good, change out brush roller” even though I’ve done so many times.

It actually cleans your floor.
We have a Bissell CrossWave and it leaves most of the water on the floor. When your done cleaning the floor and take a wet rag and wipe the floor when your done cleaning, it turn brown from all the dirty water left on the floor. The Tineco picks up almost all the water from the floor and when you do the rag test, the rag stays clean. I highly recommend this product.
