Bought this back in summer 2021 and it worked great. And then about 2 1/2 years later, it wouldn’t charge any longer. Tried troubleshooting by cleaning the contacts on the base and mop with isopropyl alcohol, nope, tried abrasive brush, nope, replaced the plug, nope. It’s dead. Maybe replace the battery is left? Probably rated it a 4 after purchase and a 1 since this didn’t last very long and apparently inability to charge is not uncommon. More uncommon is it is unrecoverable. My second bad Tineco product (top ranked vacuum based on CR did not vacuum well at all) and I’m done with them. They look good, though.

LOVE but takes FOREVER…
I’d give it 3.5 stars. It would be 5 stars if it charged quicker, lasted longer, and had a bigger tank. I’m still in the process of cleaning because this is definitely a process and not a quick one. My place is ~1800 sq ft, and it lasts for maybe cleaning half of that. If you’re debating between getting the more expensive version with a bigger tank and (I think) longer charge life do it because it takes 4 hours to charge to last only 20 min. Buy extra cleaning concentrate. I have about 1/8 bottle left, and I just started using it today. I tried to attach photos of my dirty water, but it wouldn’t let me. I have maids that come once a week and supposedly mop, so this is very disconcerting. Great product; just be prepared to spend a lot of time waiting in between charges to finish your house. PROS -It cleans amazingly. I didn’t want to believe my floors were as filthy as they were. I had to go over my floors at least six times before the water even started looking murky instead of black. CONS: – charge life is minimal, about 20 minutes – has to refilled with water and cleaner every 5 min – dirty water needs to be emptied every 5 min – charge takes 4 hours to be full -(This may be exclusive to my house) Takes a lot of refills of the concentrate. I went through an entire bottle while cleaning my house the first time.

Was great until the battery died
I loved the ease of cleaning my hardwood floors with this until the battery died one day and now it doesn’t work at all. This is a very expensive machine to only last less than 3 years. I have a fairly small house, so I only needed to refill and empty the water tanks once per cleaning. It delt well with my long hair, the dog’s fur, leaves and debris tracked in from the garden, kitchen messes, etc. It didn’t do well along the edges of walls or getting under furniture; I had to break out the Swiffer for those (and am back to the Swiffer now, which is the same inexpensive one I’ve had for 15+ years). I don’t expect a battery operated machine to last forever, but more than 3 years would be expected.

I really liked it until it suddenly stopped working. I use it every few weeks in a small condo – it stopped working after 2 years (error message restart or contact customer service). Although I thought it did a great job in the beginning, it does lose effectiveness after about the first six months and then it’s a constant stinky mess even if you clean the dirty water tank thoroughly. Now it’s useless repeating the same commands it’s programmed for and not working for more than 5 seconds although clean and fully charged. It’s not even 3 yrs old. I have had bigger namebrand or cleaning machines in the past. This one far out shines in the off them. Easy to put together. Easy to clean. Whoever designed it knew what they were doing. The bigger cleaning machines had to take all this screws out to get to the area that needed to be cleaned. This one you just take apart and able to clean everything up. Looks brand new after being washed. Lightweight. Self-propelled. I would buy it again.

So, this is my second one. The first lasted about 2 years and I loved it, then wouldn’t charge, so beware that the battery is not replaceable. Why buy another one, you ask? I love how this cleans and is easy to use, plus they give you 2 bottles of floor cleaner, and roller. Floor dries quick. Easy to empty, clean and put away. I will see how long this lasts. I spent $199 on this second one, first one was more. I simply have not found anything else that I am happy with.

I’ve had this product for 4 months and it’s already useless. I have it plugged into the wall all day and when I go to use it, it runs for about 30 seconds, flashes the red light, and dies. So disappointed. Before it died it was pretty decent.

Do not buy!! This is my first review ever.
This broke down after 4 months of owning it. It would leak dirty water all over my floor. I had to send it back to get it fixed and a month later I received it and it would still leak dirty water every so often. 1.5 yrs later it stops working completely and won’t charge. I called the company back and it’s out of warranty and want me to spend $100 to get it fixed oh and if they can’t fix it they will keep machine.

We really liked this floor cleaner, however we had to send it in twice in two years to get fixed. It never broke at a convenient time. The third time it broke just after the two year mark, Tineco said they would fix it again, but it was going to cost the same about as buying a new machine. Broke too soon and company won’t honor warranty
Machine broke. Sent it back and after a month the company said they lost it. Told my husband they’d give us $150.00 towards a new machine. So instead of fixing the broken product that has a 2 year warranty they suggest we buy a new one that didn’t last a year.

This is hands down one of the worst purchases I have ever made after only 3 and two months we replaced the battery and a month later the vacuum motor quit. Called tineco the representative told me they no longer work on these old machines but I could buy a new one if I wanted to. LOVED IT until motor died at 2.5 years. I’ve had many friends buy it because of how much I raved about it. I feel so bad. I didn’t have a problem until 2.5 years after, when the motor died. But many of them have had different kinds of problems with their tineco from the beginning. It’s too much money to spend for it to eventually break down on you, that soon. You WILL have problems with it. My advice, it’s not worth it. Get a different brand.

Do waste your money.
I bought a Floor One S3 in November 2021 based on the recommendation from a friend. I went to use it last week and it said to call customer service. Customer service said that it was past the 2-year warranty and they don’t have any replacement motors so now I basically have a $300 paper weight. In researching this online, it looks like motor failures are pretty common for this product. Does not appear as those though really stand behind their product.

We bought an additional roller mop to switch between cleanings as leaving the one in the mop even after running the self cleaning cycle can leave an odor, if you clean out the dirty water and roller heads immediately after use this works great or if your wife leaves it for your honey do list and you forget, a little vinegar in the dirty water tank will clean it all up!

Inferior to the other Tinecos- over priced
Highly Disappointed with this model. Changed to 1 star after one week of use. This review is primarily due to the price range of this one compared to other tinecos we have had and several lack of features.. This seems over priced with not having the self cleaning, terrible battery life, and lack of self talking assistance. It does clean as well as the other Tineco. I would not recommend this one and instead get the tineco one s3 or another similar brand like eureka. Now that we are just barely past the 30 day return period we are stuck with this one.

I love this vacuum/ mop combo. I have a big home so usually I don’t go for a second refill but it depends on the day. I did t give it 4 starts because sometimes it leaks ( it could be the way I tilt it) .

Stops charging
The media could not be loaded. Don’t believe TikTok!!! It doesn’t last. I hardly used mine and it stopped charging. When I put it on the base it says charging has stated but then the screen goes blank. I’ve tried every tip on YouTube: clean the metal prongs with alcohol, rock it back and forth until it’s at 5%, lean it back. NOTHING helps!

When it works, it’s good.
Not a bad design but over engineered. Good run time. Cleans well. Not sure the self cleaning is worth it. You really have to take the roller out and hand clean it (buy a second to have on hand). My issue is the charging. First it stopped charging when placed in the stand so I had to take the stand apart and modify it so the contacts would touch and actually charge. 2 or 3 months later, and now it won’t run even though the charge indicator says it’s full. Laster 1.5 years? Meh.

Buyer beware!
Problem. Product stops running and gives the message to “restart or contact customer service “. I purchased my first one from Best Buy. It exhibited this problem after nine months. I was able to return to Best Buy in exchange for a new one. That one lasted about 18 months, then had the same problem. At this point I was out of warranty. I foolishly purchased another one from Amazon in January, 2024. It is now August, 2024. That one has failed again. Unfortunately Amazon will not accept a return and directed me to the manufacturer customer service. I phoned them and that person said that I needed to send them proof of purchase and a picture of the serial number. He indicated that they would send a replacement. Subsequently, I received a email saying they needed me to return it for repair. They will not send me a new one. I now am expected to box up the old one and send it to them for repair. I don’t even have a box big enough for it, nor should I have to wait that long. Fair warning…Their customer service is terrible!

Do not waste your money
My Tineco’s first issue was it stopped charging, an issue that happens a lot according to customers reviews. Finally got it too charge and it then no longer absorbed the cleaning solution. I called the company and the agent advised that perhaps the hose broke after having me run some tests. They offered two option; buy a new one for $293 or I could ship my Tineco back for a cost of $106 for repairs. Here’s the catch… I was willing to pay for repairs but if they are unable to repair it they would just trash the machine and keep the $106. No other replacement would be shipped. The machine broke in less than 2 years.

Let me start off by in theory this is a great product, a mop and a vacuum?! However, it’s actually far from it. I purchased this product in prep for our new home and stupidly did not test it for months had it sitting there in a box when I finally took it out to use it it worked for a solid 2 min on and off (in intervals) thought it just wasn’t charged which I thought was weird since it had been charging the night before. Soon realized it charges (blinks 4 times) then completely stops. Tried everything that I could read about on line to fix it and nothing worked. Contacted the company and it was a complete joke. They asked me for videos (2x), a copy of the receipt (3x) the serial number (3x) – basically this was going on for 3 weeks total. I wish I would have listened to the reviews, but I wanted to love this product. Lesson learned will never purchase anything from this company. Products are expensive (which is fine if they work the way they are designed to) and poorly made. Go with another brand and save yourself the headache.

You will still have to mop afterwards with a real mop. Half the time it wasn’t even getting my floors wet at all. You have to refill the water chamber constantly and constantly dump the dirty chamber bc it doesn’t work if it’s more than half way full. It’s not a time saver at all. Super inconvenient.

Stopped working
We have had ours for 3yrs but have rarely used it throughout the last few years. I went to use it today and it doesn’t work. It just keeps saying clean debri channel even after I did and the self cleaning cycle doesn’t work when it gets to the “debri channel”. Obviously I can’t return it since I purchased it three years ago but I wish I would have used it more because we would have discovered this early on after using it.

Good for 15 minutes
This thing is pretty good for about 15 minutes when the tiny water tank runs out. When you refill, even if you clean it completely, it leaks everywhere. The is pretty expensive for the ability to just do 1 larger room. Get the bissel. 10000x better for the same price and the ability to do dry vacuum as well.

$472 mop that worked for less than two years – RIDICULOUS!!!
The product itself is amazing. It worked wonderfully for two years, then an error message stating “restart or call Customer Service” happened after a couple of seconds of use, and it stopped working. I contacted Tineco Customer Service and was told it was out of warranty AND they no longer manufacture and carry the parts needed to repair the unit so I would need to purchase a new one. Their offer of a 10% discount is boloney! I knew the mop would be out of warranty, but I assumed that a paid repair service would be available. I am beyond frustrated at the premium price of this product and absolutely no customer service available to fix it after two years. I used it twice a month during that time for about 15 minutes each time. For $472, there should be a remedy. Beware of this brand!

Leaks dirty water
I owned this machine for a year and it began leaking dirty water and had a loss of suction. The company took it for repairs sending me a shipping label. I received a partial refund for less than half the cost of the machine. I was not even given the amount promised. Total waste of money. I recommend splurging for the Dyson submarine floor cleaner. I have never had any problems with Dyson products. They last forever. I also purchased the DreamMachine floor cleaner and had loss of suction, and the machine leaks from dirty water tank and clean water tank. The company took it for repairs and no word back from them months later. So inconvenient. Like I said Dyson is best. Worth the money. Every single penny.

This is an awesome little machine!
Who knew – something like this is literally life changing for hard surface floor cleaning. I will never be without one of these again. We live in a 2,000 sq foot home with all tile floors and in less than 20 minutes I can have the whole house done! So simple to use and quality seems fantastic. Cordless, self propelled, cleans up the dirty water and anything else left on the floor – don’t hesitate I think you will love it as much as I do.

Poor quality and poor customer service
The unit only lasted 2 years and 17 days and was used on average 1/week to clean an area of 700sq hardwood floors. Found out it is a motor malfunction- error message “please restart or contact customer service”. After contacting customer service I was told the product is out of warranty (2yrs only) and to repair or troubleshoot I would be responsible for shipping back the unit at my own expense, total charge $106.00. After the repair they offer only 3 months warranty and the customer is on their own again if the appliance malfunctions. No other solution was offered by Tineco customer service. Very expensive product for such a short service life and very poor customer service.
