Bought this back in summer 2021 and it worked great. And then about 2 1/2 years later, it wouldn’t charge any longer. Tried troubleshooting by cleaning the contacts on the base and mop with isopropyl alcohol, nope, tried abrasive brush, nope, replaced the plug, nope. It’s dead. Maybe replace the battery is left? Probably rated it a 4 after purchase and a 1 since this didn’t last very long and apparently inability to charge is not uncommon. More uncommon is it is unrecoverable. My second bad Tineco product (top ranked vacuum based on CR did not vacuum well at all) and I’m done with them. They look good, though.

Stopped charging after 8 months but worse Tineco customer service.
After about 8 months of use the vacuum started having trouble charging while connected to base. Which means no self cleaning and no full charge when needed. I contacted customer service through Tineco and they seemed to be friendly and helpful but then just never finished the process to get vacuum repaired. A few months later I tried to contact the customer service once again and had to start the process all over again. However, again after they acknowledge the issue and mentioned an easy repair they stopped responding to emails and never gave me info on how to return or send in item to be repaired. For a $500 vacuum I would assume better reliability and service with in a year of use.

Brand new machine stopped working in first 6 months. Sent it in for repair, received a damaged Tineco with a bent handle. Customer service only offered to replace new machine with refurb. Refurb has stopped working, but 2-year warranty doesn’t apply. Only option is to send the machine back to Tineco, but they cannot guarantee they are able to repair. If it can’t be repair they will keep the machine with no compensation/replacement only a 20% coupon to purchase another machine

I bought this product and I lovvvveeeedd it at first it was incredible. I even bought the upgrade for my mom. Unfortunately I’ve had it for about a year and 3 months I’ve bought multiple parts for it thinking I just had to revamp it but it’s cleaning so bad that it upsets me when I use it. I’ve never let this vacuum sit with water in it. I’ve cleaned the whole thing from the inside out every time I use it. But I bought new rollers and new filters and nothing. I’ve never even used another floor cleaner other than the one that goes with the vacuum mop. I gave this product 2 stars because of how well it worked in the beginning.

I bought this vacuum mop last year and since then I have had to return and get a new one and now the second I got has the same problem. Every time I turn it on it produces this terrible burning smell and I always take care of it the way you are supposed to and it’s starts doing this after using it a handful of times. The first time the company reached out to me to fix the problem which was dragged out for a while and this time I reached out I haven’t received a response. For the price it’s a very ok product but the burning smells and its inability to work after this starts to happen makes for a terrible faulty product.

SO much better than our old one
The media could not be loaded. We got this with some of the money we had left from our wedding shower gift cards and let me tell you, I wish I bought a new one sooner. We just moved and installed white oak hardwood floors. We have an older bissell crosswave (was the best of the best at the time) and this thing blows it out of the water. It self-propels and is way lighter than our old version. It also glides across the floor so I’m not worried about it scratching our new floors. It self cleans and is way easier to clean than the crosswave version because of it. Our other one stinks and it didn’t matter how I cleaned it stuff would get stuck in the bottom hose/filter/ brush. I don’t see that being an issue with the tineco! So so happy with this. With having two long haired dogs, that are constantly tracking in dirt, this makes cleaning my floors in my entire house around 15-20 minutes. I did the kitchen and living room on one tank and the floors hadn’t been cleaned since we moved in.

Worked great until it tried to burn down my house!
I used this a couple times a month over 2 years with no real issues. Sometimes the suction didn’t seem strong enough and there were small puddles left behind; the way the mop can be easily activated with the slightest tip backward of the handle was annoying; but I was willing to overlook those because of how much time it saves. I used this just last week but didn’t plug it in to charge when done. I tried to use it for a small spill yesterday and the red light came on immediately, so I thought the battery must have been dead. Thankfully, as I was just getting to sleep, I caught a wiff of electrical burning and found that the mop was smoking from the side vents. I was able to get it outside and there never was any indication of flames, but it was very scary. There’s always that risk with any battery operated device, but I feel the amount of use and how I careful I was with this mop (cleaning and ensuring no damage), I should have gotten a few more years of use from it. The support window for this closed May 2024 and this happened at the beginning of August 2024. Improvements to the battery, specifically ensuring there is a overheating prevention, is necessary and should be more clearly indicated on the mop itself if this is a common issue.

I bought this for my daughter. It worked for 1 1/2 years. Started leaking water. She got ahold of the company and they told her it wasn’t out of warranty but they didn’t have the parts to fix it. NEVER will I buy from a company that won’t stand behind their products.

It cleaned great for 2 years just past warranty. Now it won’t charge. Bought a new battery and that doesn’t work. Even an iPhone lasts longer. I wouldn’t recommend at this price. $180 a year

The media could not be loaded. I bought this unit (Floor One S3) in July of 2022. Used it 7-10 times before the end of the year. Spent all of 2023 living with my dad a few hours away because his health was declining. Well, I tried to use today 8/1/2024. The battery won’t charge. Spent a couple of hours on YouTube trying to find a fix. Nothing worked. So I decided to call the Tineco Company. She wouldn’t even try to trouble shoot it. She said I could mail it to one of their repair centers (I have to pay for shipping). Then, her next words were even more appalling… if it can’t be repaired the service center will dispose of it for you at no extra charge!!! I said “ok, do I get a new one?”. She said no. And she was sorry. Biggest piece of expensive junk I’ve ever bought. I’m not exaggerating! It worked for 7-10 times!! 😡🤬😡 Now, after doing research, it’s a common problem!! Do the research yourself. It’s all there. They are pieces of junk.

I think this all in one vacuum is amazing. I use it pretty much everyday, the battery life is pretty good I can clean my almost my entire house which is 1600 sqft. I have two kids and dog – it cleans up the dog hair to messes on my floor. It keeps my house clean and I don’t have to deep clean as much. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone!

3 year update
I bought it in 2021 and it worked great up until one day it just stopped working. I had only used it maybe 20-30 times. I tried to call customer service (you will most likely NEVER get through) no luck. Then I went on their website and used the chat feature – talked to a customer service rep who said it was most likely a motor issue and there was nothing that could be done because I was out of the 2 yr warranty window. Really disappointing!!!

Doesn’t clean that well
I have had this for about a year and have tried so hard to love it. But it always leaves streaks on the floor. Also the cover that goes over brush is soooo hard to to put on and it pops off. The dirty water tank is also very difficult to close. Just was very disappointed in this product. Gave it two stars because of the automatic feature. But honestly it does not clean as good as most have advertised

It’s got blotchy coverage
I was actually pretty disappointed in this product. I was hoping it would make everything a lot easier as far as vacuuming and mopping my floors, but it does not clean and complete straight lines. The coverage is real blotchy and I’d have to go over things two or three times.

Poor Design Guarantees This will Just Outlive its Warranty
We bought the S3 in April of 2021. I used it weekly, and the results of the product are very good. It cleans nicely, it is easy to use and clean, and it was a product I recommended. I used the self clean cycle after every use, and I only used Tineco cleaning formula (which is expensive) in the product. One day it just stopped suction, resulting in water pouring out and not being sucked back in. The error reported was to restart or call customer service. Tineco’s customer service said the motor is probably bad and that I should buy an older model on Ebay. That’s their solution. A replacement motor would be more costly than the machine. After some research, I’ve determind that the product is designed so that it will barely outlive its warranty. The suction motor is housed above the dirty water tank, and no matter how properly you use this product, some water or moisture will eventually get up there. Once that happens, it will start to rust or corrode. Eventually it will seize up or the motor will overheat or just burn out. This is a cheap way to design this, and they sell this thing for $400. Personally, I’m disgusted by this brand’s inability to stand by its product or value quality. I think more and more people will discover this as well, hopefully forcing them to invest in products that last an acceptable period of time before normal degredation can be expected. Quite a disappointment, and I feel robbed by buying this in the first place.

If I could give zero stars I would! Do not buy a Tineco ever! Yes, it works great… when it works! This product comes with a two year warranty. Mine lasted two years and four months. When I called customer service they informed me there are no parts for my floor cleaner and considering it’s out of warranty there is nothing they can do. So you spend several hundred dollars on a floor cleaner that lasts two years. Don’t bother asking for a supervisor because one is not available. This floor cleaner does not last and their customer service is horrible!

Now a perfect apartment cleaning takes only 30 minutes. Easy to operate, washes well and vacuums at the same time. The only negative is the small water tank. need to be filled and changed several times during cleaning.

If you have hard floors, then you need this. I had originally purchased this so i can keep my floors clean as i have a new toddler who had started crawling, walking and exploring the floors. Tineco catches everything, from food, hair, to tiny particles. Great addition to our home.

Bad customer service and products
This unit worked ok until right before the 2 year mark and then needed the motor repaired. Tineco quickly repaired the unit and 6 months later the same issue although no longer under warranty. No help from company, no choices for repair except send it in a pay for us to fix it. Or they told me to buy one of their newer models… they will work better. I also bought a Tineco vacuum and the battery doesn’t last long enough to finish 1 room. Poor quality products and poor customer service. Deserve better for the amount paid.

Died after 2.5 years, warranty expired at 2 years
My Tineco S3 worked great at first. Now it won’t turn on and when I ran through problem solving with customer service they told me it sounded like the motor was dead and there is nothing they can do to help/reimburse or fix it. The way the agent said “oh, that sounds like the motor died” it was obviously not the first call they got about this. I regularly cleaned it right after every use (you must, thoroughly clean and let dry or it will smell musty) and I didn’t even use it every week. I will say it doesn’t save much time over mopping because you have to take it apart, wash all of the pieces and leave them laid out to dry or it will smell and get moldy. Now I’m throwing away an expensive, huge, heavy piece of plastic after 2.5 years. Such a waste.

Wow…Life Changing
My old dog has bladder control issues and is quarantined to the hard kitchen floor. My husband found a video review of the Tineco vacuum mop and said we should get one. I was so amazed the first time that I used it. LOVE LOVE it. I use it every 1-2 days. I would recommend this to anyone with a hard floor.
