This is my third shark vacuum. I am impressed by the suction power of this vacuum. However, it is very difficult to push on my longer carpet. I have adjusted the suction power to the lowest setting and still struggle. It also pushes around object that’s aren’t imbedded into the carpet. It won’t pick up cheerios, Barbie shoes, raisins or items of similar size. Because of that I would not recommend it to anyone with children.

While this onc is easy to manage on the floor level, it is still clumsy for me on the stairs using the lift away option. Note the suction is very powerful and I had to dial it down. Picks up a lot. Overall it is a great vacuum and well worth the $99.00 I paid on sale.

I liked that it picked up a lot of dirt and dog hair. But when I lifted it to take it downstairs it broke apart and fell on the floor and competely broke, they should have made the attachment with a clip so that was not possible to come apart. I’m very dissappointed. And I only had it 3-1/2 months and according to Amazon it’s past the time to be able to return. I will be calling manufacturer on Monday. I am moving tomorrow however, so I will have to throw it away, I can’t pack and store a broken vaccum. ;o(((( I hope they will refund my money or provide some compensation but I’m not feeling too hopeful.

Great suction but…….
Purchased this vacuum in December 2023. The vacuum has amazing suction. It’s light and is easy to maneuver around furniture. I have one major complaint. The suction is so strong that I cannot push it on a plush carpet. There are only 2 setting, bare floor and brush roller for carpet. Sadly, I cannot use it 2 rooms in my house because I cannot push it on the plush carpets. It also does not have a duster brush accessory that I can purchase. If it only had a setting for when using on higher pile carpets, it would be perfect.

Worst Shark We’ve Ever Purchased – Has Quality Declined?
This is our 5th Shark vacuum. If it was my first Shark vacuum, I would never have been a loyal Shark customer. I knew it didn’t have the attachments that our last one did, but figured we could reuse them. Nope. We are now stuck with a vacuum that has less suction than we are used to in a Shark, has no brush or floor attachment to get under furniture, and requires two latches to lock the dustbin in place (vs just snapping in place like our last 4 models). And no, you can’t use the pet hair attachment to get under furniture because it has a fixed angle that only makes full contact with a surface at a high angle. Before this purchase, I would not have considered looking at another brand. Unfortunately, this unit makes me wonder if quality has declined and maybe I should next time.

This is a really good vacuum. It is lightweight, which I really like and has good suction. It gets 4 stars as the hose is too stiff. It does not stretch easily and I often pull the sweeper over when trying to use the attachments.

Only good on hard floors.
This vacuum wouldn’t even allow the brush to spin on my average low pile carpets. I could use it on a area rug that was basically like a bare floor and then it worked on a hard floor. But I needed it for carpet and rugs and the brush just wasn’t able to spin on any surface I needed. If you are only using for hard floors this might be good for you.

GOOD: When new, one of the best vacuums (on the floor) for suction, cleaning and filters. MEDIOCRE: The improvements needed are a retractable cord, lighting and better accessory holder/location. All available on other cheaper models/brands. BAD: cannot service anything, the brush roller broke, and bad weight balance with the handle. They make it so you have to send it out or have special tools with special screws in difficult spots. Clean the roller? Replace a belt? NOPE! Clean the stairs or reach up high with the handle or extensions? UNIT WILL FALL OVER! Overall, works well when working well, but improvements needed

Hardest vacuum to push ever purchased! Do not recommend.
This vacuum has great suction. However, we can barely use it bc it’s unusually hard to push on carpet or rugs. We can barely push it and our housekeeper hates using it bc it’s so difficult to push. Cannot recommend .

Excellent vacuum!
I ordered this on a Black Friday Sale to have at our home in addition to our Dyson stick vacuum. We have a 3 story house with lots of carpet and a German Shepherd mix dog that sheds a ton. Our Dyson is great for quick jobs, but doesn’t quite have the suction to maintain the carpet like I’d hoped. I’ve been eyeing this vacuum for a while now and pulled the trigger when I saw it go on sale. It was easy to assemble. I used it right away. It did a wonderful job on my low pile carpet, getting up lots of dust and hair. It’s lightweight and easy to carry up and down the different flights of stairs as needed. I like being able to detach the canister from the wheels and bar below. I’m hopeful for many good years from this vacuum. So far, no complaints here!

Super Happy with quality and performance
This Shark showed me just how much I needed a new vacuum cleaner! It picked up so much that the old ones had left behind that it was a shame!! And the versatility of being able to use the hose to clean small areas and hard to reach areas makes this a wonderful vacuum for all areas of the home and even the car. Definately good value compared simliar priced vaccumes. Excellent suction that gathers a lot of fine dust. In fact, too good for use on high pile carpet in that it becomes hard to push even with reducted suction. (It has a suction control) Forget about doing small drop rugs. It will eat them! Fair job on pet hair. The only questoinable issue is the dust bin. It’s small and a little clumsy when dumpting contents. Otherwise, pretty good vac.

Suction Issues

Bought this for my mom, things a monster. Have had great experiences with this brand, the sharkvac tile mop thing along with this I think we are committed to this brand. This is my second Shark Vacuum. I couldn’t be happier with it. I was impressed with the first but even more with this model. It has amazing suction and is lightweight with easy mobility. Vacuum is no good on plush or soft or fluffy rugs only flat rugs or floors.
For the past 10+ years I used all shark Navigator Lift-Away vacuums and liked them. Was very surpised when this came. First it does not have a light to see where you are vacuuming, and I cannot. use it on any of my rugs it is impossible to push. I would not recommend this product. It will be fine for only bare floors or flat rugs.

Cheap and NOT a POWERED lift-away
I’m a fan of shark vacuums in general, but this vacuum is a HUGE disappointment. I now know why it was so deeply discounted for Black Friday, even at 40% off it isn’t worth the money I spent. This is the 4th shark vacuum I’ve owned, and by FAR the worst (including cheapest one I could buy from Walmart to hold us over while waiting for movers to arrive with our belongings. That one is several years old and still functioning well.) The biggest problem with this Shark Navigator pro is when using the lift-away option. The other shark vacuums I’ve owned all allowed you to use the main vacuum head without the bulk of the canister (allowing you to reach under beds, tables, chairs, and benches etc. with ease.) This one only allows you to use the lift-away option ONLY with the hose and tiny hand held tools. Not very practical for people who own furniture or stairs. Detaching it isn’t very easy either as the latch sticks. It doesn’t just lift-away like it should. It has good suction (it pulls up the carpet as I vacuum) but doesn’t actually seem to pick up much dirt. It must be grinding it into the floor or something because it’s not ending in the canister. I have many messy kids constantly in my house and an Alaskan Malamute/German Shepherd dog who likes to carpet my carpet with her dirt and fur. With my previous shark vertex I would vacuum and get a canister at least half full after vacuuming my downstairs once. I’ve vacuumed my downstairs half a dozen times already and the canister isn’t even half full. There are only 2 settings on this vacuum “hard floor” and “carpet” with no way to adjust the suction. It is very difficult to push on low pile carpet. It also leaves brush roller marks. Turning the vacuum on the carpet is not easy either as it takes quite a bit of force to push and pull it let alone make it change directions. Another concern are the clips used to lock the canister/dust cup on. They are either very difficult to push in to unlock, or feel like cheap plastic that will just break off if you look at it wrong. I don’t think the clips will even make it to the new year. I’m giving it 2 stars instead of 1 because I like the color, it has a long enough cord, and it does have good suction when using the hose. All in all I would say don’t waste your money. If you do, you’ll end up regretting it. Spend a bit more and invest in the Shark Vertex instead.

It socks, that’s it. I have the pet model of this vac as well. It’s well worth paying the higher price. This vac is super narrow, has no turning radius, and a short cord. You cannot lift the canister off to reach under neath things like couches. There was nothing I liked about this vac other than suction power. It is not user friendly.

Awesome suction and love everything about it but the amount of resistance when vacuuming the tight knit carpet is a huge disappointment. It’s literally a workout to vacuum our only rug in the house. Seemed like it didn’t at first. Regardless, it’s a really good vacuum. Maybe a self propel addition to this would alleviate alot of complaints seeing as how this is specifically used for carpets with pets and its almost impossible to use with one.
