Vacuums well. Instantly picked up loads of cat hair. It cannot find the dock…..ever. in between use had to add the robot and resync it each time. I’m running out of silly names to call it. It is supposed to be easy. It does not operate well since It cannot ever dock and It never responds to app unless deleted and re-added. This was the inexpensive model get what you pay for.

I purchased this vacuum last year – set it up, scheduled it in the app, and it never worked quite right. It was less and less effective over time. So, I planned not to use the app/scheduling bit and just turn it on manually when I needed it, that worked a few times. Now if I try to turn it on, it moves for about two seconds, stops and beeps. I’ve re-set it, cleaned it, nothing works. A waste of money, unfortunately.

Wasn’t sure how well such an inexpensive automated vacuum would really do, or how long it would last with it bumping into things non-stop, but my wife and I have been pleasantly surprised. We get home and the floor is quite clean, despite having a dog and a cat. We just try to keep it clean and free of tangled hair as much as possible and it continues to work. Have to think about what it would cost to hire someone to vacuum daily over the course of a month alone. Every month that it continues working is a gift at this point. Maybe next time I’ll try a smarter robovac that vacuums in patterns and learns to avoid obstacles better, but for now, this works great!

This vacuum really works well. It picks up dust, carpet fuzz, hair and virtually everything in its path. The app was easy to download and set up. I even have it linked to Alexa. You do have to prepare the room to keep it from going into extremely confined and small places, but that is quite easy and obvious. It goes a long way on a full battery charge. I’m honestly pretty disappointed with this shark. I previously had a 4 year old shark RV720 model that gave out on me sadly. I loved that model specifically since it would get into the corners especially in my kitchen. This model does not do corners at all. If it simply runs into ANYTHING it turns and turns. Don’t buy Shark! I finally called the customer service number since my vacuum works some days then doesn’t. The website tells you to trouble shoot it by cleaning the metal plates. Which I did, then it worked for a short time. Then I would be in the dock all day, then when I hit clean it returns to the dock saying it wasn’t charged when I know the correct light. The customer service rep said it was a battery issue and since it’s six months they are going to charge me $61.00 Which is something you expect after a few years not 6 months. I asked Shark cannot even guarantee a product to work 6 months? He said we don’t know how long the product was in storage, so in other words…don’t expect it to work after 6 months.

LONG REVIEW: Im on the fence about whether I like this product or not. I would probably give it a 3.5 if that was an option The Good: On one had it is very good at cleaning. It definitely is a vacuum, no question about it. It saved me a lot of time. If I let it do its thing for long enough I eventually got good results. Taking it apart is easy if you have the tools for certain things, like if you need to untangle a wheel. The brush comes out easily for smooth cleaning, and its not very loud. It also cleans very well. The bad: While it saves me a lot of time, it can get a bit annoying. This model is run by an app, so you can operate it away from home. That being said I personally wouldn’t recommend it. It has a lot of errors, the most annoying one is when it thinks it’s about to fall down stairs. I live in a one floor apartment but it will constantly pull up a rug or something and error. You can’t disable the fall sensors which I think should be up to the consumer. Since I have no where it could possibly fall from I shouldn’t need to have this issue. It’s also not a model that has mapping, meaning that it will not be able to differentiate between different parts of your home. It just goes straight until it hits something and the changes direction and goes striaght again. This is cool if you need to do a certain room but it could turn into a situation where you have it running for a while but it never reaches a certain part of the house. I also had an issue after a few days of owning it where it made itself believe that the dust pan was not installed correctly. It has a little switch inside that tells the vacuum that the dust pan is installed (think how your refrigerator knows to turn off the light). For some reason the dust pan just stopped making contact so I had to install a piece of double sided tape to fix the connection.

I previously had a Shark Robot which was a spectacular product and we used it so much it just wore out.We now have purchased the new Shark AV 753 which is so terrible to use and no where cleans the same as the previous product.It is also much more difficult to clean out and if you don’t insert it manually into the charging port it will NOT charge itself. Don’t purchase and waste your money.Look for a different product.

It is so loud and it bumps into everything! I have been using it for two weeks. I know it has to map your house so I was giving it time but it hits things HARD. Also, you have to remove it from the charging station to empty the dustbin and the dustbin is hard to open. I’m always scared I am going to sling the dirt everywhere. I have a Shark corded vacuum that has done the job for the past five years. I have a cat and a dog, so naturally my house gets covered in a lot of pet hair, kitty litter, and bits of toys. I’ve had an iRobot before, but didn’t want to shell out the money for a new one, so I decided to try out this Shark vacuum as it was on sale for less than $200. Game. Changer. I thought I was doing a pretty good job sucking up the pet hair when I cleaned, but this little vacuum proved me wrong. Every time I run it, the amount of pet hair it collects is RIDICULOUS. It gets good battery life, and is able to thoroughly vacuum our entire two-bedroom apartment in about two hours. I wish I had gotten the self-emptying vacuum, but it really isn’t that much more effort to pop out the dirt collection tray and empty it after each use. I love my corded stick Shark vacuum, but it is incredibly loud, especially on our tile floors in our kitchen. Since we have neighbors under us, it limits how early or late we can clean. This vacuum is incredibly quiet, and I don’t feel guilty about running it earlier in the morning. All and all, very happy with this purchase! Next time, I definitely will be investing in the self-emptying unit.

Doesn’t stay connected to Wifi
Bought refurbished product and could not get it to stay connected to Wifi. My wifi router was in the same room as the vacuum. My mistake for buying as I finally read other reviews and found lots of complaints about wifi connectivity issues. If this is important to you, don’t buy it.

Works well, not quiet
I’ve had this about 6 months. While the motor is decently quiet, when it knocks into a surface the bump sensor is crazy loud, it cleans very well unless it gets stuck under a dining chair or similar where it’ll spin and bump repeatedly. Picks up pet hair great! Overall I’m VERY satisfied with the vacuum, just can get a little noisy.

DOES NOT CONNECT TO WIFI
This vacuum got delivered to my house yesterday at 4 PM. I was on the phone with shark at 6 PM asking them to send me a new vacuum because this one would not work. It does not connect to Wi-Fi no matter how many times I’ve troubleshooted with the agent on the phone. I would have bought the cheaper options that don’t connect to Wi-Fi if it was not going to connect to Wi-Fi and work in the first place. Waste of money.

Terrible product
I ordered this with such high hopes. I needed this product to work! It worked in a brand new house for three weeks!! It now says low suction and turns right off. I’ve cleaned and cleaned and it’s not any better. I’ve even tried blowing the filter with air and still nothing. Everything looks squeaky clean and there is no blockage. But of course it’s past my time to return. I’m so disappointed in this vacuum!! It’s a piece of junk!

This robot vacumn is perfect for us! I no longer need to drag out a big vacumn, this does a great job on our house of cat hair, picks up everything on the floor! I bought a second Shark Vacumn because we have 3 floors, I’m looking for 1 more! Love it Love it Love it!
