Love my little robot
I did a lot of research on robot vacuums before settling on this one. This one lives in our basement where we’ve had a bug problem and which needs to be vacuumed at least twice a week (and who has time for that). The AI features work great. It did a pretty good job of mapping the rooms. It doesn’t get stuck too frequently, and basically when I start it, I don’t have to worry about it. Because it is an AI vacuum and learns your rooms, you are basically restricted to having it on one floor. You can’t move it to another floor; you’d have to get another unit for multiple floors. The big thing is that you do have to leave the lights on for the vacuum to see where it’s going. I made that mistake a few times, and the vacuum got stuck when the lights were off. I had thought about letting the vacuum run while I’m on vacation, and while I think running it while I’m not home for the day would be fine, I don’t think I’ll run it while away just in case it gets stuck (and because not all of the lights down there can be turned on remotely). The noise level isn’t too bad. I work from home, and if it’s running when it’s not in my office, I can barely hear it, and it’s no problem to be on a call. If I’m just working, the noise level doesn’t bother me for the five or so minutes it comes into my office to vacuum, but I do pause it if I’m on a call. So far, I’ve had it for about a month, and I haven’t had to do a thorough manual vacuuming. I have gone through with a cordless vacuum to do the steps and touch up spots where it can’t reach. Between using this and bug repellers, we also only spot the occasional spider down there; nowhere near the amount of bugs we were getting before.

Great vacuum for small daily cleans
This vacuum works great for dog hair. I run this every day while I am at work and it takes approximately 3 hrs to clean 1800 sqft in a single floor home with the matrix clean mode. If you have pets I would recommend cleaning it at least once a week. The 1st picture is of just 2 days of cleaning with one German Shepherd. Ever since I started using this vacuum I no longer notice any tumbleweeds and it has significantly cut down on the Dust and pet dander. I would however recommend if you have carpet that whenever you first get it to remove the three screws (2nd Pic) that hold the brush assembly in the bottom. I kept getting notifications and finding it randomly sitting in rooms because the brush gets clogged with hair and carpet fiber on the bearing surfaces causing it to get stuck. If you include that in the weekly cleaning you will have no issues.

After buying a Dyson detect I realized our floors get dusty and cat hairy after just a day. “detect” is simply a light placed right at floor level, it shows every little dirt. So… I went with this Shark to do a daily sweep. It performs well above expectations after a couple days. It easily made a map of our floorplan. It methodically sweeps up each room. (its more of a sweeper than a vacuum, brushes and a small amount of suction bring materials into the collector.) It climbs up on rugs and actually does remove surface debris on the carpet. It navigates over a pretty thick threshold into one room without a problem. Navigates around and under dining room chairs, under a rocking chair and coffee table between the legs. I’d say it’s more thorough than me when I vacuum. Surprised and pleased with it and glad I didn’t go for anything more expensive. Oh, and the battery seems to use less than 50% doing a regular sweep which should accommodate some long-term degradation. Id say its a must-have for pets.

Helps with my everyday work
We named this one Rosey. She has had a few issues since we got her, my blond hair gets caught up in her roller and that is hard to clean out. It does not last 60 days before cleaning out, at least not for me, my husband and two dogs. I clean out bin every two to three days. She has gotten confused and we have had to re-map our house. Sometimes she doesn’t get docked correctly. I’m sure this technology will get better and better, while I work around her quirks. Better than Roomba
I love this little dude. He’s my favorite pet now. The dogs and cat just scatter hair, but this dude cleans it up. My wife has a Roomba at her office and she complains that it’s a lot dumber than our Shark. She’s going to buy another Shark for the office and kick that Roomba to the curb. The AI is smarter, it’s better at mapping and navigating, and he gets stuck less. Just make sure dangley things like charger cables are picked up because they can get snagged. I’ll admit the amount of hair it picks up is a little disconcerting. I’m surprised that we weren’t ankle deep in it before we bought a vacuum. But no more sweeping; I just cut him loose any time, or send him to clean areas when I see dirt. He also gets under the bed and dressers where the dust bunnies like to nest.

Best Purchase Ever!
I named my robot vacuum “Rosie”. She works great and does a thorough job of cleaning my house. I am 75 years old and found the setup easy to manage. Once that is done, the unit just quietly runs around cleaning whenever prompted to do so. Rosie goes back to the base when needed to empty the debris into the bagless base container, then goes right back out to finish the job. I am so glad that I purchased the self emptying model. A friend just bought this same Shark AI Ultra at my recommendation. That person is also very pleased with this amazing little helper.

I absolutely love this vacuum! Our first robot vacuum was a really inexpensive no-name model. It did okay. When it was time to upgrade, I did more research. This was by far the best rated for our price range. It maps your house very quickly. You can tell it to just vacuum one room, a few rooms, or the whole house. It’s works great with Alexa. Just remember to call it “Shark” to Alexa and not whatever name you give it. She won’t understand. Buy this. You won’t be sorry!

Never knew the difference between a good robot vac and a great robot vac until I bought this.
I have 3 of the <$120 bump around vacs. They did just fine especially on hardwood floors however they all lack on suction and not good on rugs. Not to mention that they only find their way back to the charging dock about 1/2 the time. My oldest bump around vac is 7 years old. Have replaced the battery once and brushes and I cannot kill it. My wife is good about starting it but not dumping it. The Shark vac is a game changer. Great power, Great job on rugs, maps the house and does not miss an inch, auto dump during a run if needed, auto charge during a cleaning session if needed. We not only run this 3x per week and the place stays spotless. The old bump around vacs......well one of them now does a great job keeping my garage floor spotless, the second one keeps my workshop spotless and #3 keeps the finished part of the basement clean (small, 2 rooms and not often used). This may be good, or it may be bad, you decide. Our bump around vacs were just the wrong height. They would sometimes get stuck under the couch or other furniture. The top turret on the Shark vac makes it taller and it will not even try to go under a lot of our low furniture. So it NEVER gets stuck, but we have to hit the hardwood flooring under some furniture with a Swiffer. No big deal. These are not perfect. Like all vacs you still have to clean the internal filter, get the hair out of the brushes but this is as close to perfect as I have used in a robot vac.

The suction on this Shark AI Ultra Voice Control Robot Vacuum with Matrix Clean Navigation, Home Mapping, is terrible. Never cleaned the targeted area as requested. Couldn’t handle a threshold with which the old Roomba had no trouble.

Worked great (until it’s LiDAR failed)
This vacuum was amazing (emphasis on “was”). One day we came downstairs to the vacuum creating trails throughout our house of dog diarrhea. In my professional experience of working with robots with LiDAR, I have never experienced a robot that continues to drag itself around, barely performing its intended function. It’s a failure of the software, plain and simple.

I love my little buddy!
Bought this for myself, as the designated vacuum user in our house. Now I can vacuum anytime, no matter what I’m doing. I love it. There is a small learning curve… making sure you have things put away, no cords or socks on the floor, etc. And it takes a long time (2300 sq ft home), but who cares how long it takes? I’m doing other things while it plods along. I love it.

Does the job!
The media could not be loaded. I’ve been putting off getting a robo vacuum for awhile. After reviewing all of the options I chose the Shark. After mapping your house, you can fine tune areas and select the rooms you want to clean. I’ll keep it short, this thing does a great job of sweeping around chair legs and tables. No problem jumping from multiple floor types! Great job cleaning underneath the bed and tables and it’s powerful! There was a lose throw rug in the hallway as “Jawshuwa” was heading to the back room. The rug would bunch up when the vacuum attempted to go over, so it just pushes it aside with a back and forth movement and went on to complete the job, impressive! I was going to settle on just the vacuum but I got the self-empty unit which is a plus. I would give it 10 stars! We have two small adult dogs and they just sit on the couch and wait for it to finish. I can run this while not at home so now, more free time on my weekends!

I have owned a few different models over the years but this one is the best! It’s fast and efficient. I live in an 100+ yr old house with original hardwood floors so they aren’t super even which does make the unit a little bit louder but it doesn’t bother me. When it’s on an even surface its fairly quiet but it’s quite loud when it’s cycle is over and it self empties. I have 2 dogs, 2 cats and a bearded dragon, this keeps up on the pet hair and dog treat/food crumbles as if I didn’t have any animals in the house, it’s really worth every penny.

We were searching for a robot similar to a higher end, one and all this suction well it disconnected from Wi-Fi frequently. We just couldn’t justify the price to have to keep troubleshooting it. It also could not map our house well.

WOW is all I can say! I have seen these for years, but never trusted them to do a good job. I’m beyond impressed! All I have to do is pick up a few things and this does the rest for me! I named her Clean Lattifa! She is amazing! I thought it wouldn’t clean behind open doors, but it does! The suction along with the little bristles actually gets behind the door, especially on wood or tile floors. I have a rug in my living room with fringe and it doesn’t get caught in it. Great on carpet too! It doesn’t mess up my bathroom rugs and it cleans them! I have long hair that tends to collect on the bathroom floor when I dry my hair. All I have to do is send Clean Lattifa in there to do a quick vacuum and it’s gone! All controlled by my iPhone! I’m telling everyone about it! When it’s time to empty or charge it goes back to where it left off! My sister wants one now! Don’t hesitate to get one. You won’t be sorry!

Cleaned better than the shark robot vacuums we had before. Was amazing at navigating. However it stopped working for unknown reasons after two weeks. Software glitch that couldn’t be fixed with a reset.

Found it on sale for half price. Took the leap and not looking back as it has helped so much with the dirt and dust. Two big breed dogs and they love to dig in backyard. Have alarm on phone now to make sure to pick up dog toys as have had a few get stuck in side brushes and roller before it runs each night.

Good for surface level cleaning, not great for baseboards…
We received this vacuum as a wedding gift and were extremely excited about it because we have two longer haired dogs (Australian Shepherds). First a foremost, the vacuum does a great job at surface level cleaning on a day-to-day basis. We have “Bruce” run throughout our house every-day to help mitigate the never-ending shedding of our dogs and it’s very nice to have most of the surfaces free of dog hair. The vacuum doesn’t do a great job on our rugs (which are relatively low pile) beyond a light cleaning (even on the maximum suction power). We largely expected this type of operation, so we still use a normal vacuum around the house roughly every 3-5 days to keep things cleaner. The original roller that came with the vacuum routinely got hair caught up in it; however, we ordered a replacement set with a “hair cutting” feature from another brand that significantly improved the maintenance intervals required. I strongly recommend cleaning out both the vacuum and base filters (metal, cloth, and foam) at least monthly to keep suction operating well. Now for the not-so-good: This thing isn’t as “smart” as advertised. You’d think by doing multiple mapping runs of a relatively small floor plan, the vacuum would be able to figure out where the walls are and plan accordingly – NOPE. Our vacuum basically operates by smashing itself into every possible baseboard/wall to blindly find its way around the house. As shown in the pictures, this has taken a toll on our baseboards. After reaching out to Shark for clarification on how this is supposed to operate, they basically gave me the run-around multiple times claiming that the “mapping” wasn’t done correctly (it’s re-mapped our floor plan 3 times). I’ve basically given up at this point and put felt pads around the vacuum to help protect our furniture and walls. Overall, it does a fine job, but once this one craps out on us, we’re going to upgrade to a higher tiered model that uses lidar for better mapping.

Couldn’t keep up with the hair from my Chow Chow whatsoever. If you have a short hair dog or no pet at all then this may be good for you. Just can’t handle the long hair.

Worked great for a few weeks
Initially I really liked the vacuum and it did what it’s supposed to do. I’ve had it for less than 3 months and it’s almost unusable now. It’s constantly saying there’s a new error and unless I disassemble and reassemble the vacuum it won’t run – this happens 3-4 times per week. When I get it running and ask it to clean the house it skips rooms and will randomly turn around to go back to the home base. Now it has started to spit out all the dust it picked up on its way back to the home base, so there’s a trail of dirt and dust going from wherever it gave up to its home base that i have to vacuum with my regular vacuum. I already had to replace the battery after owning it for 2 months. Very disappointed I wasted money on a vacuum that only worked for three weeks.

We had a Romba for years and it finally gave up a few years ago – we have been sweeping up the dog hair daily since. Decided to look for a replacement and did a lot of searching and reading reviews. We came upon this unit and pulled the trigger at Christmas (yes I bought a vacuum for the wife for xmas – she told me to!). It arrived and was super easy to program with the app. Our old unit did not have an app so we are all excited to control the vacuum from the phone (it’s the little things in life) – Oh and we named him Benson. So fast forward to now almost 3 months in… Benson is a life saver, he does his job with such efficiently that we no longer have to manually sweep the floors (ever!). The fact he heads back to basecamp and empties as he needs to is a GREAT feature! We love the app and the fact we can send him to a specific room to clean up again if needed, (think dry muddy shoes coming in the house). Overall we are very happy with the purchase of Benson and would absolutely buy one again.

Life-changing
I bought this as my first robot vacuum, and have been so pleased with it. I have two long-haired cats and this does a great job picking up their hair on both hard floors and carpet. It has a setting called matrix clean where you can have it double down and vacuum the same area several times, which is really useful if I’ve waited too long in between sessions and need it to spend more time picking up hair. Having this device run in the background while I do other things has been life-changing as my house really needs to be vacuumed every day ideally. One thing I will say, is that if you wait too long between vacuuming, it may not be as effective on some types of carpets if you have animals like I do. I’ve noticed that one carpet I have in particular that clings to hair really strongly will need stronger suction, than this vacuum can give if I allow it to go too long between vacuums. However, that is easy to avoid. Overall, my house is remarkably cleaner since I’ve bought this vacuum.

Very pleased
So, I have had a basic robo vac that just runs around and bumps into something before it turns around and blindy goes through a room. This unit is leaps and bounds more advanced. It mapped our house that is appx 2000 square foot,it did this pretty accurately. We have it set up to run during the week while at work and it takes about 65 minutes to cover the area. Our home is 90% hardwood floor/tile with some area rugs. The unit has some very beefy wheels made of rubber, not plastic. So going over a thick rug or a door jam is no issue at all.We have a 100lb dog that sheds very bad, that was the initial reason for this purchase. The unit blows my mind everyday with the amount of hair/dirt is vacuums up. This has been a game changer keeping up with dog hair. I have only ran it for a couple of weeks, so I’m curious to see the longevity of the unit, but if it last a couple of years and performs like it does now, I would rebuy over and over and recommend to anyone!

This vacuum changed my life
The media could not be loaded. I used to vacuum my entire apartment with a really budget vacuum that would not pick up much and wanted to purchase something for myself that I knew would get my carpets cleaned. I’ve had this vacuum for exactly a day, and the difference is already noticeable my carpets are cleaner, and the dust on my carpets isn’t affecting my allergies as much. Some downsides to it is, I would say it is quite noisy but if you run it while you’re at work because you can schedule it to do so that should not be an issue.

She maps the house out first. Another reviewer said turn all your lights on, so I did. She nailed the map of the house. I’ve got 2200′ She cleaned it well and quickly. Goes back to recharge and come right back to where she left off. Buy this one you won’t regret it. Her name is Hazel btw!!
