The media could not be loaded. I noticed a lot of the bad things people were saying in the reviews had been fixed. I was able to easily move it into tight spaces and it turned right and left! It cleaned my floor better than any other vacuum I’ve had. You do have to empty it every 1 or 2 uses so far. I’m guessing that will be less the more and more you use it. I have no problems getting it to stand on its own. The bottom of it you can detach and take it to the stairs. It makes it a lot easier than just carrying the whole vacuum and it just stands there for you. I love this vacuum. It was a great deal for such and amazing working cleaning machine!
We bought this after seeing multiple people say they had thick/ shag carpet and it worked well for them. Well that was not the case for us! The vacuum legitimately sucked in our carpet and would not move. So it was powerful but when you have thick/plush carpet, that doesn’t work. Therefore if you have very thick carpet, it likely won’t work for you either.

This has amazing suction I bought to replace a cordless that worked really well before it broke. The suction on this is so strong I feel like it needs a low setting. It feels like it’s trying to pull the rug off the floor, and not a small one we’re talking 7×10 rug. I use the bare floor setting for easier use.

Bad customer service / Falling accessories
I like this vacuum. It’s strong and lightweight but there is a problem with the accessories falling off the machine. It’s a simple engineering problem where the tolerances of the push on pieces don’t match the caddy that holds them. I called and was told the accessories aren’t covered by the warranty even if it’s a manufacturing defect! I explained that it was in their best interest to replace the defective parts rather than have me return the product to Amazon. Then they agreed but insisted on charging me shipping. I gave up. They can have their vacuum back and good riddance to stupid business practices. Buyer beware.

Better product than Dyson
I have had 2 Dyson vacuums and am so tired of the roller brush getting clogged and not doing the job I expect it to do. One sweep over my carpet with the Shark Navigator and I am in LOVE! This Shark has more suction power than my Dysons have ever had. I am amazed at how much dirt was in my carpets. The Dyson couldn’t do what my Shark does. Needless to say, my carpets have never been so clean (except whent they were brand new). Goodbye, Dyson. Hello, Shark! 3 things I wish this shark had…a larger canister, an extending wand for reaching high ceilings, and a retractable cord. However, none of these will bring me back to Dyson. And I love the affordability of Shark. Keep up the great work, Shark! I bought the pet brush and it works great on my stairs. Without this piece, it was awkward trying to vacuum the stairs.

No Comparison to 2018 Navigator
Compared to my Shark Navigator from 2018, this one has no suction to pick up next to baseboards, table legs. The canister volume is 1/3 the size, which forces me to empty three times per room (dog hair). I am returning.

Cord could be longer
I had a Shark Rotator vacuum for years and decided to treat myself to a new vacuum. I bought this one. The only issue I have is that the cord is 6 feet shorter than my other (I measured it) and it does make a huge difference in the distance I can clean without stopping and plugging it in in another outlet. Other than that, which is minor, it is a good value for the money.

Broken after only a year!
It cleaned well, but was made in such a cheap fashion that it started to fall apart after only a year. The main tube stopped clicking into the base of the unit, and it was unfixable. Ultimately, not worth the cost!!

Poor overall design
Have been using for about 6 weeks, 2-3x per week on hard and carpeted flooring. These are my observations: Decent suction. The cord is too short. Vacuum head does not have a light. Vacuum head is not wide enough. Removal and emptying of canister is not intuitive. Canister is small. Holder for attachments is in a terrible location – hose attachments always falling off. Hose removes easily, but has a c-shaped bend at the head which makes it difficult to use effectively. Far too expensive for what it is. Wish i could return this. Will be going back to a Dyson.

Power Vacuum with Plastic Parts that Break Quickly
I bought the Shark Navigator after my old vacuum of 15 years broke. I love the suction for pet hair and the fact that the unit is lightweight. The only problem is that after only four months of use, the door release button on the dust cup broke. When I contacted customer service for a replacement, they said it wasn’t covered under warranty. When I tried to order a new door release button, they said I couldn’t and that I had to buy a new dust cup, which cost $49.00 with shipping.

I hate this vacuum cleaner. 1. The canister has to be emptied when it’s only a little over halfway full 2. The hose is too short, and finding an attachment to lengthen it is not easy. The hole where an attachment would fit is not standard size (it’s bigger than normal) 3. The suction is ok, but not good enough to make up for the bad After only 6 months of owning it, I’m going to give it away and buy a new vacuum clean from a different brand.

The carpet in my place is an ugly brown. I have a Dyson that I have used since I moved in here. When I got this, the amount of dirt it picked up was incredible! OMG this is great! Better than my Dyson Animal
I have mastiffs. One might think that they don’t shed but often they shed more than the long hair dogs I had of the past. They also sit on our furniture. Our Dyson was no match for their hair! However, this Shark is AMAZING. First – the fine particles it gets up makes me shake my head. Here I was thinking our Dyson was good to find out that the particles and dust this one gets up is astonishing. I cleaned my floor with my dyson before using the shark. The dyson stopped pulling stuff up but the shark continuing pulling stuff up into the bin – mainly fine particles – all that dust and dirt. Would I recommend this product to a pet owner – ABSOLUTELY!!!!!!! Cons: 1) There needs to be more attachments. The extension nozzle is short and needs to be longer. 2) It has so much suction is it requires more hand power to push. For us it is not a big deal but for others it may be. 3) the canister is small. We do empty it more often than the Dyson. I know that the Pro model has a bigger canister but for the money wasn’t worth the upcharge. However, would love to see Dyson upgrade it. Another great pro – Cost. My Shark cost me under $200. My Dyson cost me more than $500. And my Shark is better for my needs.

Not complete seal
I was impressed at first glance but I noticed after using it the debris tank does not seal to the body of vacuum causing leaking of dust that I don’t want in my home. There’s a rubber seal where the tank attaches but it doesn’t seal properly. I ultimately settled on the Dyson Animal ball 3 extra. It’s more expensive but had the best suction out of all the vacuums I tried. I tested Bissel cleanview lift off- poor suction. kenmore featherlite – poor suction, navigator deluxe and professional but short hose which made vacuums fall over and it was unusable without removing the lift off part. Hair also gets wrapped around the Brush roll.

I love love love this vacuum
I have a German shepherd/Husky mix and my life is fur. Of course he’s on the couches and pretty much wherever he wants, so I need a vacuum that can keep up. I’ve always used Dyson but when my 8 year old faithful Dyson ball quit on me, I honestly didn’t have the money to spend on a new one. I came across this one and the reviews looked promising…now that I’ve used it for quite a few months, I am completely in love with this vacuum. The sucking power is insane. Fur doesn’t stand a chance in rugs or couches. I definitely recommend this and already have to all my pet owner friends!

Great vacuum
This was a replacement for a vacuum of another company that I thought was cleaning well. Well it must not have been because the first time I used this vacuum I got up so much dust/cat hair it was embarrassing. I think that the vacuum is easy to steer. On my very high pile carpet it does take a lot of work to push, but that’s only one of our carpets, so overall it’s great. Would highly recommend.
