I did not see any listing of compatible manufacturers, but saw that users indicated it worked on their Ford. It failed to link with my Escape. The manual only says if it fails to link, the connection is bad (not) at the OBD plug or at the device (not) or the vehicle is not OBDIII compliant. I looked online and found a listing of compatible cars. Ford was not on that list. Not stated in the description. I tried to register the device with their website to get assistance but it would not accept the serial number the device shows on the screen. Tried half a dozen times. The helpline is country code 86, China, so I passed on that long distance opportunity as well. Seemed easier to just return it rather than chase the tail for resolution. Appears to be a good product, and the screens I could observe were clear and easy to read. Disappointed.

This thing’s great: clears codes in my car with no problem at all — in fact, if the car throws a fault while I’m driving it, the passenger can clear the code on the fly — and it gives quite intelligent suggestions as to what might be causing faults (e.g. “Faulty MAP sensor or leaky intake manifold gasket”). The buttons are a bit strange: you’d think the Select or Confirm or Enter button would be the big one in the middle, but it isn’t: it’s the little one over in the corner — took a minute to figure that out — but having done so, I had no problems with the user interface or the embedded function set, which is richer than anything I’m realistically ever going to need.

I ordered this NT301 Plus and the regular NT301 to keep in a second car. The seller says this code reader is compatible with all cars sold in the USA from like the year 2000 to the present time. I have a fairly modern 2005 Nissan Altima that was sold new in the USA (so its not a grey market car or anything like that). This reader was absolutely useless and would not detect the error code. I just took the car over to an auto parts store where they hooked up their code reader and it read the error code immediately. Also the instruction booklet that comes with this is a joke, hard to comprehend and absurdly written by someone who obviously has English as their second language. Both of these useless code readers were sent back today.

This device is a OBD mutli-tool junk. I test it on 2011 and 2015 Subaru Legacys, and 2013 Toyota Camry. It faied to read the cars and failed to detect the batteries. I read the instruction over and over again, thinking I am doing something wrong. I followed the steps, but still nothing. The window of return has passed and I couldn’t return it anymore, so I took it with me abroad on my trip to Europe to see if it will read European cars. Big NO! Save your money and buy eatablished brand name.

I gave it a 2 star because the product does work as expected, it is a obd2 reader after all. I think I paid way too much for what it does. i’n half tempted to return it because of that. But it works as expected and live data, printing test storage. I had issues trying to update the firmware so I contacted Foxwell support to ask how to use their application to update the firmware on the device. They inquired as to where I bought it from and when I told them Amazon they told me I had to call Amazon for support. they wouldn’t support the application or reader. So dont buy any foxwell product from anywhere besides foxwell including Amazon if you expect support. When you plug the reader into a laptop to do any printing or saving data or updating the reader, they require you to download their application. But then as my complaint is, if you have a question about the application, in my case updating issues, they won’t support the application or the reader if you did not buy directly from Foxwell. I’m appalled by the fact that Foxwell post their stuff on other retailers such as Amazon and won’t provide support. Thats amazing to me.

This will not work for diesel engines. It says it will but it does not. The Foxwell website is a bigger joke then the tool. You can’t get a list of vehicles to come up that are American.
