Powerful 3-Stage Cleaning System of Roomba j6+ with 10x suction power

Product Breakdown: The Promises and Pitfalls

The Roomba J6+ has been well-received by many customers for its convenience and performance. Several users have expressed satisfaction with the device’s ease of setup and operation. As one user put it, “Easy to set up and works great!” and another confirmed that the self-emptying feature is a significant plus, saying, “I didn’t realize how well the self-emptying feature would work!” The quiet operation, especially compared to older models, is another point of praise. A user mentioned, “Love how much more quiet it is than the 980.” This makes it easier to run the Roomba without disturbing daily activities, like watching TV. Users are impressed with the technological advancements, noting that the Roomba remembered the layout of their home even after an upgrade, which showcases the smart mapping capabilities of the device. The ability to handle pet fur has been a game-changer for some, with one user exclaiming, “This purchase was a life changer for my family,” as it kept up with their lab’s daily shedding. Another user described it as “Fantastic,” highlighting the device’s ability to navigate and clean different rooms according to a set schedule. Moreover, the vacuum’s capability to avoid obstacles and notify the user of temporary obstructions has been appreciated. Users enjoy receiving notifications and pictures of their pets blocking the path, as it adds a level of interaction and ensures that the Roomba can navigate effectively around the house.
Despite the positive feedback, some users have reported drawbacks with the Roomba J6+. One of the most common complaints is about the noise level, as one user described, “feels like the suction is not strong enough and this thing is loud. very very loud.” Additionally, issues with customer service have been highlighted by users, including difficulty connecting to Wi-Fi and inadequate assistance from support, with one customer saying, “They never got back to me despite my reaching out repeatedly.” The device’s performance consistency has also been questioned by some. One user found the vacuum to be “Inconsistent” in its cleaning and emptying patterns. The rollers seem to be sensitive to pet hair, which could pose a problem for households with pets, as it may require frequent cleaning or roller replacement. For some, the Roomba J6+ doesn’t clean corners effectively or pick up larger particles like cereal, which was noted as a limitation by a user. Navigation issues have been another point of contention. A few users have experienced problems with the Roomba’s mapping capabilities, where it either missed rooms or struggled to navigate out of an empty room, leading to a comment that it “Can’t even navigate its way out of an empty room.” Additionally, the product seems to struggle with long pet hair, as one user found that it would leave “little rolls of dog hair” behind, indicating that it may not be suitable for all types of pet fur.
In conclusion, while the Roomba J6+ appears to be a technological marvel for many, with smart mapping, quiet operation, and self-emptying features that users love, there are notable concerns about its noise level, customer service, consistency in performance, and navigation. These issues might need to be weighed against the convenience and ease of use that the Roomba J6+ otherwise offers.

People find the following negative one quite helpful. Reviewed in the United States on November 29, 2023 by Linda M. Mcintosh, titled “Inconsistent”
The first day the vacuum was loud and had lots of suction. The next day it was noticeably quieter. I watched several videos on how to clean and troubleshoot. iRobot suggested I call Amazon to return or replace it. She said it would save me the trouble of sending it back for warranty work. ??? It does work but I can go behind it and swipe the floor and there is still a little dirt. It spends a lot of time under the bed and couches and not a lot in the open areas. It is inconsistent in emptying the bid. Yesterday it sent pictures of objects it wanted to know it it was a temporary obstacle or not. I’ve had it 10 days and that is the first time it’s done that. Funny to see pictures of your animals blocking its path.

    Is my new Roomba refurbished?

I bought this in Nov so I would have 1 when we bought our new house. It’s may and bought a new house BUT when I inbox the Roomba it had NO power cord or directions. Which I had to buy a cord and research for set-up directions, is the one I got a refurbished when it was supposed to have been brand new 🤔

    Get something else

It is terrible. It goes off line all the time. Its not my internet bc none of my other devices go off line like this. The instructions on the app never successfully get it online and I end up calling support every few weeks and spending 30 mins to get it back online. If I had known it would be a support nightmare, I would have never bought it. I called and asked for a replacement, but I hung up when they tried to make me go through the troubleshooting process again. Why couldnt they look at my previous cases? I am too busy to spend this kind of time on a vacuum cleaner. My sister bought the Shark equivalent and doesnt have any issues. I’d advise looking at that one because this one is just garbage and a time suck.

Not worth the money….. Angry customer

We purchased this back in November and here it is March I have had nothing but problems with it. It can’t seem to dock itself and when I do it for it then it says problems docking. I adjust it a few times then it says problem emptying the bin so I do that for it manually and from my phone. I have cleaned the base everytime it does this (everyday) and I clean the robot itself (take rollers off make sure no hair or strings, clean the things on either end of rollers, the eye, the guide roller) basically I give it a once over daily. It’s suppose to do our main level (living room, kitchen, dining room, bedroom, coffee room and 2 bathrooms) it can’t even complete one room without problems. I’m so sick of this I might as well do it myself. When it does decide to work I can tell you…it avoids cords, water, dog toys and anything else nowhere it belongs. And the pics I review everyday are spot on. But as a whole I’m angry and think something is wrong with this thing. And I’ve had a Roomba since the very first one.

    Terrible Customer Service

The roomba quit connecting to the internet. Without an internet connection it doesn’t work. I contacted customer service and they walked me through all the troubleshooting I tried on my own. They took it to the next level of expertise and told me I would be hearing from them. That was March 8th, it’s now March 19th and still nothing. I did call a second time and they took me down the rabbit hole again. I’m really disappointed with this company this is my second and last roomba.

Roomba is stuck. Roomba brushes are jammed. Roomba ended the job stuck. Roomba needs new parts. Roomba cannot charge. Roomba has an issue. The list goes on and on… Only the third month with this $500 contraption. When it works, it is great. 2% of the time it has no issues. This thing needs cleaning constantly. Parts are jammed or need to be unscrewed. It is easier to pull out the Dyson than deal with the inconsistency of this robot.

    Do not buy from SAVEABIZ

I bought this product and it got stuck in an updating status. I called official iRobot support, and they confirmed that my robot is a brick. They asked me to send a proof of purchase to give me a replacement. Apparently, SAVEABIZ is not an official reseller, which means any damage or malfunction is not covered by the basic warranty. They tried to fool me by providing a $50 refund and telling me that the “return window” is closed. Amazon provided a refund through A-Z guarantee, but this process took almost 2 stressful months. Please, stay away from SAVEABIZ.

This is our 3rd Roomba and we’ve been very pleased in the past, but this one SUCKS because it doesn’t suck. It leaves stuff all around and we have to actually vacuum after it finishes constantly. We truly hate this item and it has turned us off completely from this brand. Whatever changes have been made from previous models have lessened the quality dramatically. Do not buy this item! Sucks for pet hair

I have had a really bad experience with this system. It does NOT work for pet hair well. It just pushes the hair here and there and misses big chunks of hair. It is sad that I assumed it would be good and got rid of the box as I would have returned it. At this point it was the worst $700 I have ever spent on a vacuum. I am sorry to say that I am not impressed and no one seems to care. Not sure what I can do, but this is not a system I would ever recommend to a pet owner.

    Biggest POS I’ve ever bought

I have a Roborock S6 that I bought years ago and I bought this to replace it. The Roborockis light years better. The iRobot has no LIDAR so it’s constantly looking around trying to find where to go. It doesn’t sweep in a constant pattern like the Roborock, it does the perimeter and then back and forth. The iRobot goes goes all over the place in no pattern at all. It would take the Roborock1.5 hours to sweep my main floor. iRobot? 7 hours usually. It’s only a matter of time before I smash the thing into pieces it’s that’s stupid and annoying.

Huge downgrade from a Shark vac

This is not a good vacuum. Bought because of the pet-mess avoidance, but it doesn’t even come close to the value of a Shark vacuum. It doesn’t pick up hair from carpet. Very little suction. Constant brush cleaning required. Reports need for air filter change within days of changing filters. Rarely finishes vacuuming a room before battery dying or getting stuck. The app is a mess of nearly unusable features (like, there’s not even a ‘send to dock” button). I have literally nothing good to say about this machine. I would toss it in the trash today and buy another Shark if I hadn’t spent $600 on it 3 months ago. It’s beyond returnability so I suffer. i’ll never buy another iRobot product.

    Best friend

Best purchase I have ever made to help keep up with cleaning floors in our home. Most of our home is hard wood and only few area rugs. Doesn’t completely replace a house vacuum, but helps so much with dust and animal fur. I clean the brushes and blow out filter almost every day which helps keep it running great. The dirt station bag only lasts about 3-4 weeks before emptying. Detection for wires works great. Hasn’t gotten one yet.

Not very effective cleaning hardwood floors

I bought this primarily to clean the hardwood floors in our kitchen and dining room. We have two toddlers that are constantly creating crumbs in these rooms, and I hoped that this would help reduce my wife’s anxiety about our floors when we go days without having time to run a vacuum. I had never used a robot vacuum before, and figured the technology had been out for quite a while now, so they must have figured it out, and I’d be good as long as I bought the brand name and not a low model. Ultimately, we have both been unimpressed by the performance of the vacuum. The main problem is the spinning brush. All too often, rather than direct crumbs into the suction, it just whips them away from the vacuum in any which direction and may or may not pick them up depending on where it yet needs to travel. I feel like me expectations for what a robot vacuum should be able to pick up were not that lofty, but I am still underwhelmed. It’s very loud when emptying itself which is brief and not a big deal. Otherwise, no louder than any other vacuum. It doesn’t really seem to be super smart about where it’s going which isn’t really a problem. Bottom line is that immediately after running this vacuum, no one would walk into your home and think that you had just vacuumed. I definitely feel like even on sale, it has not been a very good value. Haven’t used it on carpet, so that experience may be different.

    Not worth the money

We bought this hoping it would cut down on how often i have to sweep. Doesn’t help that much at all. I usually sweep twice a day even with this rumba. We have one dog and two boys. So, not too dirty, but they do bring in mud. This Rumba has so many issues. It gets lost in the house. Doesn’t shut off for hours. I would not recommend one. They are way overpriced. My husband and I are constantly having to figure out what is wrong with the robot almost every time it goes out to clean. Way too much work. I would rather just sweep twice a day and be done with it.

Better than value for money, value for time.

Caveats: I have a very flat floor plan with mostly hard wood floors and some carpet. I run the Roomba during the day (it needs light to see). Also tidy up a bit before setting it loose. I had a couple of the original random dumb Roombas in the past (1999?) – these are vastly superior. Thumbs Up: It works very well; it might be slower than a person but it’s more thorough. It is a very effective cleaner. (Two dogs, two children here). Thumbs sideways: They have more consumables than a push-around-vaccuum. The brushes wear quickly, the filter clogs, parts are smaller. I would say given my heavy use (5000 sq ft cleaning a week?) plan $30-$70 a year on replacement bags (for the self-emptying one) , filters and brushes. It’s not completely fire-and-forget it will require attention once every two weeks for my area, to unclog or empty.

    Horrible Customer Service

    1. Expensive 2. Poor Performance 3. Bad Design 4. Horrible Customer Service 5. Company looks for easy way out of warranty To start we had a Eufy that was just simply incredible. I thought that it would be a good idea to get another i-Robot since they were way more expensive, thinking it would be much better. We had one before when they first came out and it wasn’t great. Same experience with this one. It is nice having the self cleaning feature along with the room layout automation, but that is about it. We have had nothing but issues. To start the battery is just terrible. It is about half the size that is needed. You would think for a very expensive model you would get more than what the cheapest brand and unit provides in their models. You don’t. To clean half as well as the Eufy it would need to run for several hours. Then the unit only comes with one spinning brush, not two like the cheap units. We constantly had errors etc and it’s just running on a polished concrete floor. It would constantly get lost and keep running into the same wall over and over. Finally we had an error code that resulted in us needing to call customer service. We emailed at first as directed and never received a reply. I called and had to leave a callback after being on hold forever and it was two days later before I got a callback from them. I spoke to someone that did not express any concern or care. We never felt like we were going to be taken care of. We weren’t. After jumping through a barrage of hoops we were told by ordering from Amazon we didn’t order through an authorized dealer and our claim for repair or assistance was outright denied. We had to send our receipt from Amazon as well. They didn’t even tell us that over the phone. We were on the phone for over 2 hours. We had to wait for a week to get a canned response stating our claim was denied. Keep in mind this was within the time frame of the warranty. Funny thing is I’m not even mad. The first unit we purchased several years ago was awful so I should have known. We purchased another Eufy. They are cheap and have just been a workhorse. Don’t waste your money on this company.

Made our basement cleaner and smell better

This is a really good unit that, once it has mapped, works well in the dark. Since we have had it the basement is constantly clean, and it’s a big area, it even smells better too. Would highly recommend this product.
