Saves You Money
I bought one several years ago on Scotty Kilmer’s advice. Since then it has saved me from buying two questionable cars and recently the check engine came on in my Tundra. Turned out I needed an O2 sensor. I didn’t feel like replacing it and took it to a mechanic. Of course I had to pay their diagnostic fee, $150, to learn the same thing. They quoted me $600. I ordered the OEM sensor and replaced it myself, saving $400. Then the Bluedriver cleared the code and I’ve been happy ever since.

Shipping was very fast. And this code reader does all I need it to and more. It connects to my android phone pretty quickly once you download the app. I love that it even provided links to purchase the recommended parts to fix the code my vehicle had. And the “live” function is very good. With all the older vehicles my family and friends have I’m sure this will pay for itself many times over. Not to mention the convenience of being able to get the codes from a vehicle that couldn’t make it to the parts store for a scan. Would definitely recommend this unit.

Non functional product and non-existent support
I bought this product as I have a check engine light on. Product says it found a code, but then shows there are no codes to view. I contacted their 24/7 support but get no help or anything. I would not recommend anyone buying this product. Even less if you ever need support as they are non existent. I am planning to return this product. A big waste of money.

Takes out all the guesswork
With always owning a older model vehicle there’s always something going wrong. And with always having a handheld unit plugging it in and messing with trying to figure out codes I got tired of it. Now it’s just a matter of plug it in run a scan and it tells you everything taking out all of the guesswork. And I had a friend that was complaining she had to go to the dealership because her tires the sensor had went off and she had filled the tires and she didn’t want to pay the dealership to reset them. I simply fixed it for her by plugging it in and clearing the code for her. Another item that I’ve purchased that has saved a lot of time in finding out exactly what is wrong with my vehicle and not having to take it somewhere and paying somebody for an answer.

I’ve purchased 2 and recommended to two other friends, that’s how good this works. This has saved me SEVERAL times, and I always keep one with me. I helped a friend tow a boat over 2000-miles with his F350, stupid truck threw codes within first 100-miles. We wouldn’t have got home without this BlueDriver. My HD3500 can throw exhaust-codes that limits power, I’ve made it home TWICE now where I would’ve been broken-down on the side of the highway. Even our daily-drivers throw codes, this will reset them. This also has ability to trend “good” operation parameters while underway, but every professional service technician says the same thing: don’t just drive around with a code-reader installed all the time… I haven’t seen anything bad from doing that, but it’s what the pros say…

Great Bluetooth based ODB2 reader
This seems to be a good Bluetooth based ODB2 reader. I particularly liked the user manual which is a collection of YouTube videos collected into a list inside the app. The app is great too- simple, clean, direct. It took me maybe 20 minutes to watch the first few videos. I went into my car, plugged in the BlueDriver and paired it with my phone. I proceeded to the Scan function and it brought up the DTC codes with clear explanations. A few searches on the Internet and I knew how to fix my car. Ordered the parts, did the repair, then used BlueDriver to clear the codes.

Because it sticks out like a sore thumb when GF drove my car, she has kicked the plug at least three times within the first week of use. With the OBD2 flat ribbon extension cable there is no more fighting (kicking or unplugging).

I replaced the spark plugs and coil plugs as recommended but the engine light still wouldn’t want to turn off. Car runs great and there’s no problem but engine light was still on. I bought the BlueDriver and got the codes clear instantly, plus it turned the engine light off. Problem solved. Great product!

Rarely Connects or Stays Connected
Despite all of the positive reviews, I had nothing but trouble with this OBD2 scanner. It would take 5 minutes to connect to my smart phone and then drop the connection halfway through reading the modules. Every time! I tried the device on two different newer cars and two different smart phones, (iPhone 14 and Samsung S24). No matter the combination, the problem was the same. And the phone was directly next to the device each time. I’m returning this unit and trying for a hard-wired scanner instead. Bluetooth just isn’t reliable for OBD2 scanners I guess. Buy this at your own risk!

I’m a YouTube mechanic. Always trying to save a buck. I feel like for the how inexpensive this is everyone should have one in their glove box! The features are unbelievable from monitoring the systems in your car letting you know if something off or might be ready to go, to being able to clearly read not just check engine light codes but all malfunctions your cars computer is signaling. It will clear the codes but it will also tell you what the most common fix is, and bring you right from the app, to Amazon to purchase the part and sometimes even have a tutorial on how to replace it! This thing is so easy to use if you have an hesitations because you’re not car savvy just buy it and you WILL be impressed at the ease of use and features no matter how old the vehicle is.

Researched this product online and was listed as a “10 Best” item for DIY diagnostics. Easy to use, good application and updates available. Very easy to use after set up. Is able to diagnose issues, clear codes and data log. I would say better and many OBD2 readers with hard wire that are priced over $100. I recommend this product.

Great product, but more than I needed.
This product was incredible. It was easy to setup and simple to use. However, it was more than I needed. This seems more suited to a person that is a DIY’er with cars. I can put gas in my car… and that’s about it! The one thing I didn’t like about it was that it the full scans took a long time. And by “long time” I mean it took a few minutes. Nothing crazy. The little $20 odb2 reader with display that I got on here was much quicker (under 30 seconds). Seeing I don’t know anything about cars, a cheap scanner with codes did as much for me as this more expensive one. Also, I thought I read this Blue scanner would give me detailed descriptions and a rough estimate. It didn’t give me the estimate (I get it), but it also lacked a lot of descriptions which meant that I had to lookup the codes one by one anyways. But if this is your thing, I’ve read nothing but good news about this from car enthusiasts.

I so wish I could return this device. But,I ordered it a few months ago to keep on hand in case I needed it – When I needed it…..the item aks for a download ( I did that) Then I asked my son to help because I could not get a reading. He came and we both just were not finding any information as stated would be given in the product description. There was a live chat??? But that did not work either. Very disappointed

Bought this to scan all 3 of my vehicles but primarily for my RV that has 6.7 power stroke engine having some fluid exhaust issues. After scanning finding a whole page of codes I took the RV to a local major dealership. The biggest code concern was cylinder 3 injector error. This little scanner read the exact same codes as the major dealership much more expensive equipment read.

This is a great tool at a reasonable price!
The thing I really appreciate is the Bluetooth connection is reliable and effortless. This is much different than the first Bluetooth scanner I bought (a different brand), which often was impossible to get connected. The Users Manual resides on your cellphone inside the BlueDriver App, and includes videos. The DTC codes found are defined and frequent fixes are identified. The scan results can easily be sent yourself or others via text or e-mail with a couple of clicks.

Instructional videos are medium to low quality, blocked views and no actual wrenching to fix issues. Great info for codes. Does not do Transmission codes nor PID!?
The sole purpose of purchasing this “Complete OBD-II Scanner” was to monitor the transmission fluid for a fluid change. I now find out, after purchasing, pairing, and connecting that it will not do Transmission codes! Nor does it have the ability to do custom PIDs, like the $5 scanner apps and $20 devices allow you to. Therefore, this product is utterly useless for us.
