    Used sold as New

I received a BlueDriver that appeared to be used, and unfortunately, it did not work. I thought it might have been an error, so I ordered a replacement. However, the second unit also seemed to be used, with a torn box and missing an insert sheet. Unfortunately, this one did not work either.

    real good

this tool is capable of providing more live data than i know what to do with. honestly its a lot for a regular dude, it is probably much more useful in the hands of a mechanic trying to diagnose stuff. there are much cheaper alternatives if all you’re looking for is to pull codes, but if you need a live look at how many volts a random sensor is currently pulling while you’re driving around, this is probably up your alley.

A must-have if you want to maintain your cars yourself

I originally purchased this tool in 2022, intending to use it for registering a new battery in my MINI Cooper Countryman. The dealership had told me that my battery needed replacement, but surprisingly, it’s still going strong without a single starting issue—so I never actually had to replace it! 😂 That said, this tool has proven incredibly useful on two occasions: 1. MINI Cooper Countryman – Check Engine Light (Nov 2024) When my MINI’s check engine light came on, I used this tool to read the error code, which turned out to be 3490. A quick Google search revealed that this was related to the thermostat housing and needed replacement. While the part itself wasn’t expensive, after watching a few YouTube videos, I realized the repair was beyond my skill level. Fortunately, further research led me to discover that this was a common issue with my Countryman, and MINI had extended the warranty for it. I called my dealer, confirmed my vehicle was covered, and they fixed it at no cost to me. 2. Infiniti QX60 – Check Engine Light (Mar 2025) My 2015 Infiniti QX60 also had a check engine light issue, and the tool diagnosed it as error code P0037, indicating a problem with the Bank 1 Sensor 2 oxygen sensor. The tool even provided a link to Amazon for related parts. However, I had to do quite a bit of research to understand that my vehicle has four O2 sensors and determine exactly which aftermarket replacement to buy. That’s when I realized this tool does more than just read and clear error codes—it also provides live data visualization. After replacing the sensor, I used the tool to monitor its voltage in real time while test driving. Seeing the voltage respond to my driving gave me confidence that the issue was successfully resolved. Overall, while I originally bought this tool for a battery replacement I never needed, it has turned out to be an invaluable resource for diagnosing and troubleshooting car issues for this price!

    Didn’t work

I own a 2005 Honda CRV that all of a sudden showed check engine light, ABS, VSA & brake lights on the dashboard. Decided to check Amazon for the best OBD2 Scanner & was impressed with the high rating this particular scanner got. Ordered it and received it the next day. I had no problem setting it up with bluetooth & anticipated alot of info would come my way. It was slow and took a little bit of time and then the only thing that showed up was the buckle for the seat belt which was a recall that was taken care of years ago. I have all these lights and nothing showed. No codes …. nothing! I removed it a few times and reconnected but kept getting the same seat belt warning. Cleared warning, checked for updates and tried again. Seat belt warning. It would have been way more helpful to have an actual manual to read in its app instead of 3 minute videos that if you didn’t understand or missed something had to watch again. This was an expensive product that I feel is marketing itself with deceptive advertising. If it works better for newer cars than good but don’t falsely advertise that it finds +7000 codes for older cars when it didn’t. I did have to have the car towed as my brakes were very limited and am waiting on exactly what is wrong with it. Just a very disappointed customer with a product that didn’t give any results it advertises.

    No live data junk.

Junk does not do much. Does not do live data.

    Does not work as advertised

It claims it can read ABS codes. I confirmed my car is compatible on their website. It does not read ABS codes. I emailed support, they ended up sending me another device. It does not read the ABS codes either. I went to a local car shop and paid $85 for them to diagnose my car. They read the codes with no issue. So I now have to return 2 dongles that don’t work and am out $85 for someone else to read the codes. If you need to read basic check engine codes, it works. If you need to read ABS or anything semi-advance, buy a better scanner.

    Does the job

Works great. Shows what I need. Only reason I gave it a 3 stars is because, it takes 3-4 minutes to read all the module codes and then takes just as long to clear all the codes. Mode 6 also takes minutes to load too. The live view can only show 5. My less expensive and older bluetooth obdii scanner is almost instant when reading/scanning/deleting codes. It also allows unlimited live views as long as the screen fits. Don’t get me wrong. This blue driver scanner is awesome and does what any home mechanics will need. Just slow. App requires closing and reconnecting using the connect button 1/2 of the time

    Not good

Messed my electrical up, saying sensors on my 2017 gmc 3500 duramax were failing. Many others on the diesel page had attested to this same issue. Stick with a scanner that plugs in with a cable and has a secondary power source.

I think the whole idea of this is great… The problem is getting a library catalog for the better performance repairs done.

Mis-represented the capabilities on their website.

I bought this reader because, according to their website, it reads air suspension codes on my cadillac. The reader DID NOT read air suspension codes. I emailed support, I advised them that I have a service Air Suspension System message, and my Air Suspension system is not working, and I need to get a code in order to fix it. Customer Support advised me that the code reader does not read routine maintenance lights. I advised them that the service air system means that the system needs repair, and it is not like a change oil soon message. They advised me that the message means to do routine maintenance on the suspension. They also say on their website you can get expert repair advice, they give you what other people replaced to fix the code, not expert advice. Blue Driver mis-representated their product on their website.

    Works surprisingly well

It took me a minute to use this. The instructions are good and the problem was me not the device. I have used it on four different brands of vehicles with great results. I downloaded the wrong software which was presented in the Apple Store because it was a sponsored result. The correct software is branded the same as the tool. With the correct software I have been more impressed than I expected. I was having ABS,Traction control and airbag issues and the scanner picked them up and even shows the codes frequency and in many cases a link to parts and repair guides. I am very happy with it and recommend it.
