Also instantly picked up my VIN number and owners manual, etc. much more comprehensive checks than available on slightly cheaper version from another company that was corded.

Works like a charm. Took a couple of minutes to download app, plug dongle into vehicle, and since my SUV is a 1999 4runner I had to enter the VIN. POP! the vehicle info came came up. -No issues , no codes and BEST OF ALL no subscription fees [ other brands charge $99 ] Blue tooth only took seconds to pair up. Great unit!

BlueDriver doesn’t work
I got this supposed top of the line BlueDriver model LSB2 excited that I would now be able to diagnose my own car before going to the shop. Boy was I supprised. I plugged it in and it told me my sunroof wasn’t working but I was opening and closing after the read and it works just fine. I told me my front power seats weren’t working and they work just fine, bought manually pushing the adjust lever and automatically when I open and close the door. It told me that Sirius radio wasn’t connected as I was listening to it. So I called the 24 hour support line while I was in the car and asked her why I was getting these readings when everything works. First thing she told me was the device doesn’t scan for Sirius, so I read her the code. She asked me what the size of my engine is and I told her 4.6L and she told me it can be, they don’t show my car being available in a 4.7L. So I said I entered the Vin # into your app; wouldn’t read the type of engine the car has? If not how can you diagnose a problem? SHE FINISHED BY SAYING THE APP IS WORKING.

This thing is fantastic! I used to have a cheap little code reader that required me to go and look up all the codes on my phone. This puts all that into one little process. I love that it allows you to save the report so if I don’t remember what the code is, I can go and pull up old reports. Also it gives you fix suggestions for common codes, and directly links you to parts on Amazon. I’m extremely impressed with this product and would recommend to anyone that works on their cars themselves. Also it allows you to reset your error codes during the diagnosis, helping to solve issues.

Purchase to scan a used car from a dealerships. They just got the car and had not inspect it before I looked at it. I agreed that I wanted it and they said they would repair any problems with it for the price we agreed to. They thought I had a basic scanner when I told them I was going to scan the car. I scanned the car and found errors with the car. It is costing then about $600.00+ for parts plus the labor to fix it. This unit has paid for itself and saved me money and trouble on its first use. car battery suddenly died out of the blue one day so it got a recharge but every dash light known to man came on once the battery was recharged. took it somewhere to get a diagnostic but they were pretty unhelpful and just wanted to take the car in to check it for things i knew weren’t the problem. saw it was a common issue when cars get jumped that the computer gets all wonky and starts firing off error codes, quick trip to reddit made me aware of one of these (not this exact one) so decided to look one up and settled on this one because the app was free. needless to say, got those codes cleared up and my car is functioning like before.

Hands down the best $80 I have ever spent
My vehicle is older from 2002, so I figured most scan tools wouldn’t give me much help with my car’s issues. I have tried the free scan from orileys and even another much more expensive scan tool and found nothing. Even videos online show the obd2 scanners tell the user just to use the flash codes on the dash. IMMEDIATELY apon plugging this thing in it went to work, I did not need to give it any information abour my vehicle it found it all. I scanned all systems which took very little time and it told me everything I could ever want to know. Even with a car as old (and somewhat uncommon) as mine it still gave me enough information to see whats going on and what could possibly be causing these issues. I was so suprised when it pulled all my ABS codes, which I didn’t even think would show up on a scan tool as I was using the flash codes method before. Absolutely incredible this device. All the logs save to your phone too so you always have them with you. Words could not express how impressed I was. It will even show you live data while your car is running including sensor temperatures and throttle position percentage, just a low refresh rate. The scanner itself is very very lightweight which is a little concerning because it doesn’t feel overly sturdy, but it survived a few drops already so im sure it’ll be fine, packaging was a little poor though as it just sat in its box squeezed against the cardboard

Essential tool for any car owner
There may be cheaper vehicle scanners, but you get what you pay for. I wanted a scanner so I can avoid bringing my vehicles into a diagnostic center (even the ones who’ll scan for free) so I did research. I consulted videos and online resources, and concluded the best value is this BlueDriver scanner. Set up is simple, the free app easily connected through Bluetooth, and within just a few seconds I was monitoring my car. Ironically, the BlueDriver read the VIN of my 2013 Honda Civic automatically, while I had to enter the VIN of my 2024 Honda CRV manually, but that was to only quirk I’ve noticed thus far. I’m not an auto mechanic, and my check engine lights come on but rarely, but $79 is a small price to pay for certainty in getting accurate data so I’m not at the mercy of a diagnostic shop. I fully recommend this for any car owner. Even if you don’t fix your own vehicles (I don’t fix mine), knowing what to expect takes much of the anxiety out of car repairs.

They clearly state this scanner reads ABS codes. This is incorrect. I couldn’t get abs codes so I called tec assistance. It only reads abs and other non engine light codes on some select vehicles. I asked the tec why they are advertising it works all vehicles. She said, well sur I don’t really know what amaxon is advertising. But if you go to our websight and click a bunch of buttons you will find the list of vehicles it’s scanns for abs. And like they don’t know what amazon is advertising. It’s there advertisement. Supper shaddy buyer beware

I purchased this in November 2024 and have used it a few times. I will say the first time I used it, it paid for itself. I used it to identify a problem with a transmission pressure switch right after purchase and another issue with my EGR valve. Each time I was able to clear the errors once the repairs were complete. Hugely overpriced, not useful at all.
Tried on two european and two japanese made cars, mfg years ranging from 2004 to the latest 2023. It does not display anything useful beyond what is displayed on the car’s dashboard anyway, like engine revs, ambient temperature etc. One car had actually two error codes retrieved using another diagnostic tool – one failed airbag driver side sensor and an error from ABS sensor on a front wheel. Bluedriver couldn’t detect either. Second car had a failure related to a wastegate valve in the engine turbine. Again, Bluedrive couldn’t detect that either.

This thing seems to be great. App is easy to use and navigate. HOWEVER. One of the cars I used it on is a 4 cylinder VW Beetle Turbo. When I hooked it up, the data lists the car as the 5 cylinder model. All of the codes scan fine and it seemed to diagnose the problem properly, but it doesn’t inspire a lot of confidence when it gets the type of engine wrong. If I didn’t absolutely KNOW that it was a 4 cylinder turbo I might have ordered parts for the wrong engine.

User Friendly Scanner
The OBDII tool purchase was for use with a 2014 Mini for general maintenance scans, and to identify an odd “noise”. The scanner was easy to use following the provided instructions after downloading the app. The on screen instructions are user friendly. The odd noise was not identified by the scanner. A disappointment. I would recommend this tool to others. If possible, the review will be updated after use on a different vehicle.

Nice when works, Bluetooth stopped working.
Worked for a couple times, then wouldn’t pair anymore. Unfortunately since, worked on the infrequent yearly test for a couple years was too late for any warranty help. Traditional scanners that have their own screen and don’t need to pair to something in order to function have a certain standalone value that something like this struggles with. Nice concept, wish would have worked longer. My corded one is still working great!

The software is slow and you still can save your codes off to search for them. It was supposed to tell me what the fixes were. It hooks up and works pretty good. Most of my problems stem from software the hardware is good.

Very simple to get connected and start using. Read the codes and was able to clear and re-read. I like the fact that it stores multiple reports so you can check the for changes in readings.
