For years I have always purchased my vacuum’s based on “price”. For some reason I felt the more expensive vacuum was better quality I I WAS ABSOLUTELY WRONG !!!! – – It took this purchase of the Bissell® CleanView Swivel Vacuum to proved to me price means NOTHING. It is expertly designed – very easy to use – to empty – to clear the hose of blocks. All the parts click into place perfectly. The suction is unbelievably strong and the hose is nice and long so I can reach up to the ceiling with no problems. I THINK BISSELL DESERVES A THUMBS UP FOR THIS ONE !!!!!
I bought this in September 2024, and the drive belt broke in January 2025. Drive belts and filters are not covered under warranty. Given that these are prone to break, you would think the design would facilitate replacement – but no. Rather than a simple system without screws, you have to remove 7 screws to get to the brush area. In my case, dog hair had built up underneath the belt cover and eventually broke the drive belt. In the picture, the lime green plastic cover on the left is where the belt is. Note that you would have to remove the cover screws to clean the brush or even to simply check for dog hair build up. I bet the screws aren’t under warranty either, since stripping them is all too likely. Otherwise, I love how good a job this does pulling up Golden Retriever fur off the carpet. It is a shame none of the product designers considered whether it is simple to maintain.

The plastic start button has broke on 3 I’ve bought. I will NEVER again buy BISSELL. Corporate won’t repair or replace it. It’s GARBAGE. Shame on them. This will again end up in landfill.

Buyer beware
My first time buying a Bissell. The tool broke in the first month. They totally sent another but it’s the same design and I don’t trust it now. The whole reason I bought was for the pet hair besides I liked their mission statement. I am an aggressive cleaner I sweep 2-4 times a week. But I’ve had Hoovers last way longer!

Suction is great but!
It’s feels too heavy because all the attachments and suction components are at the top of the handle primarily. Emptying the content after vacuum is difficult and gets your hands dusty. That needs to change.

FANTASTIC VACUUM FOR PET HAIR

Great inexpensive vacuum especially for pet hair
I am a vet tech and a rescue foster and this vacuum works great for pet hair and dust/litter. I have tried an assortment of vacuums over the years and this one is comparable to the Dyson technology (or even better) as far as its ability to get the carpet really clean and for a fraction of the price. It was super easy to put together, literally put on the handle and two screws to secure it, and attach the hose with no hardware. It doesn’t seem to be getting clogged and the little side brushes help get into corners along with its ability to swivel. It also has scatter technology so it doesn’t just spit stuff everywhere on hard floors. The canister is a good size and easy to empty no reaching in to get everything, it just fell right out! This may be the best vacuum I have ever owned. It is a little bit heavier than some I’ve had but manageable for me. It has some pretty cool attachments as well I’m looking forward to trying. Great buy!

Excellent on pet hair
I have 3 dogs that shed, and I thought I was cleaning well with my previous vacuum. This new one proved me wrong. I had to empty the container 6 times the first time I ran this new vacuum. Not what I expected but picks up well
This vacuum is light weight and easy to use. It’s also easy to empty. What I don’t like is that the cord is very stiff and even after using multiple times is still stiff and retains the shape of being stored and isn’t easy to remove. I didn’t realize it doesn’t have a light either. The hose is very difficult for me to remove to use the attachments. It works for the price but I won’t buy another one like this.

Wow, the amount of hair and dust that this vacuum picked up really made me rethink my cleanliness habits. I’m vacuuming just for the joy of it at this point lol. Also, removing the roller for cutting those long hair strands isn’t too complex, but you do need to make sure you get all 6 or 8 screws out. But at least it’s sturdy. Doesn’t do great with pet hair
I had to constantly tear this vacuum apart and clean all the internal guts and gears. It always locked up due to pet hair and lost suction. It is a great vacuum if you do not have a pet. I bought it because it advertised that it was great with pet hair, and I would argue against that claim. It eventually stopped working altogether and I switched to a different vacuum.

Skip the Dyson
I’ve always been a huge fan of Dyson but the last couple I’ve bought have been total crap! This is almost embarrassing but we literally vacuumed 2 days before I got this new vacuum and holy crap… look at what all this thing sucked out of our carpet! Hands down would recommend to everyone.. my only complaint is the hand held vacuum sucks… it would work well on furniture or hardwoods but not really useful on rugs or anything carpet related… it immediately stops. Otherwise, it’s a fantastic vacuum!

Good suction
The suction is great, it pulls the hair off the carpet great. It is light wait as I carry it up and down the steps, and use on my steps as they are carpet. It is easy to clean, easy to take apart to clean all parts where dirt gets. I’ve had it for about 6 months and it is still going strong since the day it arrived.

Don’t Buy!! Stop working 2nd day.
The rotating brush stopped working the second day I used it. Unscrewed the bottom and cleaned out the area around the brush and still doesn’t work. Fortunately, I have an old Bissell that has lasted me three years that is still working. This model is Trash!! I originally purchased based on the reviews, so maybe I received a defective model. What is worse is that I missed the return window so I’m sitting here with a brand new vacuum that doesn’t work. I am so disappointed.

5 years of experience. The worse experience.
First thing I noticed when we bought this 5 years ago was how loud it was, and that the brush doesn’t stop when you’re using the hose with the vacuum in the upright position. I have been wearing hearing protection the past couple of years when I use it, no joke. I find that you almost always have to reach inside to empty it, which is gross. The height adjustment parts wore out (plastic) very quickly, leaving it at minimum height. So I had to stick a binder clip in there to shim it up, or else the brush seizes up when on carpet, and you start smelling burning rubber belt. That also wore out fairly quickly. Sure, this cost 1/3 as much as my previous Dyson, so I don’t expect it to be awesome. But it’s objectively borderline unusable, and frankly the bane of my existence as far as keeping my house clean goes.

I used it for around 10 minutes and it already smells like the motor is burning. The suction is not very good. I had to make quite a few passes to vacuum cat fur off of a rug. I understand that it is inexpensive, but it feels very cheap. The wheels squeak the entire time.

Don’t waste your money
The media could not be loaded. When I first bought the vacuum, (less then a year ago- actually maybe less then 6 months ago!) it was great. I have a small three bedroom apartment that only has one area rug and one room is carpeted. The rest is hardwood floor …. This vacuum Worked for maybe three uses then the belt broke… ordered new belts, replaced the belt… piece inside the vacuum is rusty… belt is broken again this is the worst vacuum I have ever owned. My vacuum should not require more maintenance than the floors, I want to refund and I would love for somebody to get this piece of trash out of my house so I can replace it with the vacuum that works !!!!

The vacuum was reviewed to have a sweeper bar underneath that prevents the dirt from flying back at your feet. IT WORKS! My previous vacuum would shoot out sand and it would hit my feet and legs. This vacuum is light enough to lift (if I need to) and powerful enough to get all the sand, dirt, and dog hair. The swivel is great and the pet hair attachment got my car seats looking like new. I recommend this!

I bought almost a year ago because my expensive vacuum shorted out after many years of abuse. I chose this model because my daughter has it and loves it. I have two dogs and two cats. I’ve also been remodeling. This vacuum takes it like a champ. Hair, drywall dust, remodeling dirt. It’s fairly easy to clean. I like that I don’t have to change the bag every other week. That losing that hassle alone makes saves me a lot of money. It is a bit more narrow than my old vac which is really nice to fit between things. Also, my old vacuum always smelled. No matter what filters I used or how many times I cleaned it. A week later it was stinky. Not this bad boy! The only negative is that it doesn’t release flat enough to vacuum very far under the beds. I’ll live. Still loving it 1 year later.

A Cats Nemesis
The drawing power of the aerodynamic properties of the vacuum’s collection chamber is amazing! I road tested it today on my carpet that was cleaned the day before. It draws out the dirt and the cat hair fluff and other mysterious particles. The motor drive system and brush are noticeably quieter than my previous Dyson vacuum cleaner.
