For years I have always purchased my vacuum’s based on “price”. For some reason I felt the more expensive vacuum was better quality I I WAS ABSOLUTELY WRONG !!!! – – It took this purchase of the Bissell® CleanView Swivel Vacuum to proved to me price means NOTHING. It is expertly designed – very easy to use – to empty – to clear the hose of blocks. All the parts click into place perfectly. The suction is unbelievably strong and the hose is nice and long so I can reach up to the ceiling with no problems. I THINK BISSELL DESERVES A THUMBS UP FOR THIS ONE !!!!!
I bought this in September 2024, and the drive belt broke in January 2025. Drive belts and filters are not covered under warranty. Given that these are prone to break, you would think the design would facilitate replacement – but no. Rather than a simple system without screws, you have to remove 7 screws to get to the brush area. In my case, dog hair had built up underneath the belt cover and eventually broke the drive belt. In the picture, the lime green plastic cover on the left is where the belt is. Note that you would have to remove the cover screws to clean the brush or even to simply check for dog hair build up. I bet the screws aren’t under warranty either, since stripping them is all too likely. Otherwise, I love how good a job this does pulling up Golden Retriever fur off the carpet. It is a shame none of the product designers considered whether it is simple to maintain.

Cheap Quality
The motor burnt up for no apparent reason. No clog and a brand new belt was installed. The quality is very cheep and I expected it to not last very long. It did a good job of removing pet hair, I have 5 pugs and they shed like crazy. Spend a bit more and get a higher quality unit, this one was retired to the curb

Good suction but doesn’t last too long
I really love the suction on this vacuum. It was pretty inexpensive so I can’t expect too much. Recently I was using the turbo pet attachment to clean my couches. The whole unit somehow rolled over the top of my foot. Took off some of my big toenail and the part that you see in the photo broke off. Along with the entire attachment I was using. It all happened so fast and it hurt so bad that I was just trying to get the vacuum off my foot. That tells you how good the suction is though lol. The extending hose is pretty stiff and short so I know that was a contributing factor. I lost count how many times the unit has fell on my head while I was using the extentions. It hurt! But the entire thing doesn’t weigh too much. Swivels very nicely. The little side brushes work excellent at sucking everything up on the sides of the floors. Easy to empty canister. Simple cleaning of the filters. I’ve only owned this for a year and a half. I was really hoping it’d last longer. But because of how well the suction is I’m considering purchasing another Bissell. Just one that you can lift up the entire canister so that the short, stiff hose doesnt cause another incident with my toe.

Great Vacuum For Great Price
Our vacuum broke so I decided to give this a try. I didn’t want to spend a lot of money considering vacuums can be very expensive if it’s high quality. The quality of this vacuum shocked me. It’s light in weight, suctions perfectly, and it’s easy to maneuver around the house. I have three dogs and a cat and it picked up all the fur easily. The cord is a great size too so I can get to two rooms without unplugging it. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a great vacuum at a cheaper price.

You want your vacuum to suck! It does a great job cleaning, really good suction. I like how it’s easy to turn corners and carry by the handle. It is a perfect size, the cord is so long you can reach everywhere. I’ve borrowed it out and it has never been damaged with heavy use.

bought this to replace my dyson that will only be on for 5 mins max… its insane how much suction power this thing has. dainty area rugs are nearly impossible to vacuum over unless u have something to weight it down. not a con for me though. picked up probably years of dirt and pet hair that the dyson wasnt able to get. gross but feels so clean now! my only complaint is that the stairs are a b*tch to vacuum since it doesn’t actually fit on them. managed to do it anyway cause it was needed, but dont like the thought of struggling that hard to hold it up and it doesnt come with an attachment that would be good for my carpet stairs. also not sure if the hose needs to be broken in but the vacuum definitely fell over and hit me lol. hopefully a none issue in the future. overall due to the cleaning power i will be keeping it ! 10/10 !!

Whyu are the screws in this vacuum coming loose.
I have used this Bissel Vacuum since it’s delivery on Sept 5, 2023. It is a great little machine. I vacuum mostly on tile floors, so this not much resistance to the forward or reverse movement of the vacuum But I’m having a problem with many of the screws coming loose on the handle area and in the lower body of the machine. I realize this is not normal, but what can I do to rectify this problem. Any advice from the manufacturer. Michael

Poor purchase
I’ve just spent twenty minutes with a knitting needle pet hair from the removable dirt collection device. My hand gets stuck and long dog hairs wrap around the gizmo inside. As does sand dirt and everything else. Can’t clean it. Will go back to the Shark products. They work and work well. Bought it as USA made. Don’t be fooled. It’s a poorly designed product. LOVE this vacuum!
I’m a clean freak and I didn’t realize how poorly my floors were being vacuumed until I purchased this one. The suction on our carpet is fantastic. We don’t have any indoor pets, but it picks up the dust and everything else so great. I very much prefer this to our cordless vacuum when it comes to the carpets (which is what we have in the majority of our house). Overall I think it’s a fair price for a great product if you’re looking for a sturdy tool!

Although it is geared for people with pets, it has a vent that pushes air outwards, therefore the pet hair is flying throughout the air. In addition, the unit is very bulky and difficult to maneuver. I wouldn’t recommend this product.

Works great on dog hair
I vacuum my dogs’ room once a day due to girlfriend and her son being allergic. Definitely cleans up the dog hair. Unfortunately I did not read the description very well and had to switch to a hypo-allergenic Vacuumed after about 4 months

Built to fail
Great suction and handling. Very lightweight. These are the reasons for two starts. Unfortunately this is designed in such a way that the height only goes up so far. If you have any kind of carpet that is even somewhat high it will nor work. The bristles are very low and rub hard even on the highest setting. Thisnputs a strain on the motor, belt and of course the bristles/roller. I’m not waiting for that to happen. If you’re looking for something for hard floor or VERY low pile carpet this could be for you. But id still be careful moving the dial anywhere butnthe heighest setting. They were good about a refund.

One great vacuum!
This is a REAL vacuum… not a little plastic half-power thing. The minute I unpacked it I was impressed with the weight, the size, the attachments and the ease of assembly. My Dirt Devil Razor Pet bit the dust after 5 years and I thought it was great UNTIL I got this Bissell 2252. It has twice the power, has a wider brush and I don’t have to go over and over an area to get it clean. It’s great. Buy it, you will love it.

I just Vacuumed only the living room and it filled the canister! Meaning my other Vacuum sucked. (Or didn’t suck, lol) The maneuverability is great. I’m extremely impressed for the price I paid, this vacuum seriously picks up everything! I tested one small area and it surprised me how much filled the chamber already, I have a German shepherd who sheds all year round and what would take me 10 minutes took me seconds! No more hair build up around her crate! I love the settings dial as well so I can change how strong I need the vacuum to be and what surface of floor I will be cleaning, putting the vacuum together took 5 minutes I just had to screw in two screw to the handle attach the tubes and it was ready to go!, the chamber is easy to dump out with one button and easy to place back. It gets corners well but you will need to use the nozzle to get into the corners and the tube works really well! Vacuuming has become fun!

Pet Hair Annihilator
I had literally contemplated selling my dog to the circus before I ordered this. I have mostly hardwood floors, but my dog is a hound who sheds everywhere and it’s been a literal labor intensive experience to remove the hair. I can’t tell you how happy I am to removed the hair from a myriad of rugs while standing upright instead of scraping the rugs with a fabric scrape.

I’ve spent a lot of money on Shark vacuums and they never last. This vacuum was only $100 and is the best vacuum! Strong suction, easy maneuvering, and excellent cleaning. Highly recommend especially if you have fur babies.

Heavy but works well
I use this vacuum on wood floors, tile, and carpet in an apartment that is about 700 sq ft. The suction is fantastic, and I love the hose attachments for pillows, blankets, and the dust that always seems to accumulate on and behind the toilet. I have had this over a year and it has never once been clogged, and the suction power seems to be just as strong as when I bought it. It is easy to remove the canister and dump it out without making a mess, but I stick my hand in the can to pull the dust and debri out—I think if I just opened and dumped it, there would be a mess on the floor as the canister is large. The vacuum is large and heavy for me to use (I’m 5’5 about 115-120 pounds), but works so well I won’t be replacing it.

Burning smell
I was one of the unlucky ones to get a vacuum that has a burning smell. When I went to the support website, it showed that there can be two possibilities. After I took the vacuum apart, yes apart, to check the areas it suggested to fix, yes I have to fix, it turns out the burning smell was actually coming from the motor. I was taught that if something ain’t broke, don’t fix it. But if it is broke, it’s not worth fixing. So this one is going in the trash, and I’m going to go get a different vacuum cleaner.

Fabulous vacuum!
This thing SUCKS but in a good way! My girlfriend and I have two cats which shed a lot. Our old vacuum “worked” but the first time I used the Bissell, I honestly could not believe how much hair it picked up that we couldn’t see. It’s an amazing vacuum for the price. I bought two extra belts just in case one snapped because that was the main complaint people had. People had issues with long shag carpet getting trapped in the belt and snapping it but I have relatively short carpet and I have had no issues at all. I set the vacuum height on the middle setting and it’s perfect. 10/10.
