For years I have always purchased my vacuum’s based on “price”. For some reason I felt the more expensive vacuum was better quality I I WAS ABSOLUTELY WRONG !!!! – – It took this purchase of the Bissell® CleanView Swivel Vacuum to proved to me price means NOTHING. It is expertly designed – very easy to use – to empty – to clear the hose of blocks. All the parts click into place perfectly. The suction is unbelievably strong and the hose is nice and long so I can reach up to the ceiling with no problems. I THINK BISSELL DESERVES A THUMBS UP FOR THIS ONE !!!!!
I bought this in September 2024, and the drive belt broke in January 2025. Drive belts and filters are not covered under warranty. Given that these are prone to break, you would think the design would facilitate replacement – but no. Rather than a simple system without screws, you have to remove 7 screws to get to the brush area. In my case, dog hair had built up underneath the belt cover and eventually broke the drive belt. In the picture, the lime green plastic cover on the left is where the belt is. Note that you would have to remove the cover screws to clean the brush or even to simply check for dog hair build up. I bet the screws aren’t under warranty either, since stripping them is all too likely. Otherwise, I love how good a job this does pulling up Golden Retriever fur off the carpet. It is a shame none of the product designers considered whether it is simple to maintain.

Cheap, stops working QUICKLY
The media could not be loaded. Bought this specifically for the pet hair removal. I used it like….three, maybe 4 times and the extra tool stopped spinning already. Yes, I took it apart and cleaned it. I knew I shouldn’t have switched from a shark. My old shark lasted 10 years before I dropped it and a piece Brooke. Don’t get this. It feels cheap too I also need to add the chat customer service sucks and I’m waiting on a phone call. I’ll let ya know

Not great especially if you have pets
This is not a great vacuum if you have pets. We’ve used this 3 times in the week we have had it and 2 of those times I had to take it apart to unclog the the belt area.

Extension is much too short!
Works good but the wand to way too short. It’s only 12 -15 inches long so if you want to clean under your sofa, you will only be able to reach 12-15 inches under it.

Broken Belts and Blown Motors
Major design fault leads to an expensive piece of trash. A large portion of the debris sucked up ends up in the area that houses the belt. After burning through 6 belts in 2 months, the motor on the vacuum blew out. Bissell’s warranty will fix the motor but they have no solution for the problem that started it all. I had to throw away a practically new vacuum and buy something else.

Just an average vacuum
Cleans carpet real good. Terrible to use on high carpet. The canister gets full of dirt real quick which is a good thing. I bought this vacuum after buying another brand for three years in a row. There were always different problems with the other one. If you have a real low-profile carpet, this works great. If you need too adjust the height setting all the way to “high”, for a higher profile carpet, it is very difficult to push across the carpet. This is an issue with even a low-profile carpet. The swivel motion is also a little more difficult than the other brand. I paid less for this vacuum and didn’t expect a lot but did expect a little more than I got. Over-all not a bad vacuum but I can’t give it more stars because of the swivel action and the difficulty on anything other than a real flat carpet.

Life saver!
It’s a smaller sized vacuum (I’m assuming more compact sized), but it doesn’t disappoint whatsoever. I have two large sized dogs who shed like crazy. One of them being a black lab so all of the clumps of fur she makes is definitely noticeable. I also have two 5 year olds who are still learning how to clean after themselves. This vacuum cleaned ALL of the mess with ease; crumbs, dog food, fur, dust, mud, you name it. You can feel and breathe the difference. I was even able to pick it up and move it with ease whenever I was using the wand extension. It was incredibly easy to assemble. I’m terrible at assembling things and I put it together within a few minutes. It’s very light weight and seems very sturdy. For once, I’m actually excited to clean because this vacuum kicks butt and gets the job done the first time! 10/10 would recommend!

I should have checked the weight I did read reviews and nothing was said about weight. Suction is fair. I had a Oreck for 25 years it was light weight and great suction. PURE GARBAGE DO NOT BUY
Absolute garbage, literally broke the 3rd time I used it. Plastic pieces flying off the bottom, broken belt so the front doesn’t turn. Pure trash. This is the last Bissel I will ever buy, and will spend the rest of my days telling everyone I know and everyone I ever meet just how pitiful their vacuums are.

Didn’t even last 2 years
I’ve replaced the belt, cleaned the filter, checked for a clog, and it’s still noisy and smells weird. Purchased in April of 2023. Powerful suction when new but now it’s junk. Might bring to a repair shop or just buy a new one.

Replaced a Dyson on its last leg
Get this vacuum! It’s a great vacuum cleaner for the price. I’ve finally purchased this after having it in my cart for a few months. I purchased it to replace a hand me down Dyson ball that was on its last leg. As soon as this arrived i did a test. I vacuumed an area with the Dyson first. Then i vacuumed the same area with the new vacuum cleaner, the vacuum cleaner canister instantly filled up with dust/dirt and fur. Definitely worth the purchase. I’m actually excited to start vacuuming again a few times a week again.

I’m so impressed with the power in this lighter weight vacuum. As you pull it back you can really feel the suction power. It picked up much more out of my carpet than my old vacuum cleaner did; the one that died last week. I only wish there was an automatic cord winder, but that isn’t a big deal. The price was great. It was super easy to snap together. Absolutely recommend this vacuum cleaner.

Buy this vacuum if you have pets
If you have pets, YOU NEED THIS VACUUM!!! I have 3 mini golden retrievers, cavalier King Charles, ragdoll cat, and a short hair cat. I also have 3 kids, husband, and I have long hair. To say we have a lot of hair in our house is an understatement. I run a robot vacuum everyday on my solid surface flooring and had a Kirby vacuum for the carpet. My first time using this vacuum I was discussed and satisfied all at once. We only have carpet in our basement but I had to empty the canister 3 times😳 The amount of dust and hair this vacuum sucked up is unbelievable. I also like the attachment for the hose. I used it on the cloth couch my dogs have claimed as their dog bed and it’s so clean. I used to use a fabric rake or 100’s of lint roller sheets to clean the furniture.

Buyer beware: you get what you pay for.
I bought this vacuum 5 years ago. It was affordably priced and was advertised as a light weight model good for picking up pet hair. A huge negative is that it goes through belts like crazy. In addition, the rubber coating on the cord wears away and exposes the wiring underneath. This has happened in several places and poses a potential risk of electric shock. I like the suction of this model, and its light weight overall. However, the issues with the cord and the belt replacement far outweigh the strengths.

Good for long pet hair
Bought this due my dog (golden/lab/great Pyrenees mix) who sheds often. The vacuum worked great and picks up his fur easily unlike other vacuums I’ve tried. Was easy to put together and is normal size for a vacuum. I have not had any issues with clogging as I empty it when it gets near the max line. Storage capacity is decent – I’m not constantly emptying it, which is nice. Recommend for pet owners

I only offer one star because zero isn’t an option. I received the Bissell Cleanview Swivel early in February 25. It is the poorest product i have purchased through Amazon. I bought it for vacuuming my carpets that besides myself are inhabited by a senior Golden Retriever. While he is prolific in his sharing his shedding coat, I had no idea that the hair would clog the vac EACH time I use it. The clog isn’t in the hoses, but the drive belt stopping the rotating brush completely from turning. Freeing the roller brush requires removing 7 screws to open the brush cover. After the third repetition of this process, contacted Bissell customer service to find out if there’s a way to prevent the problem. Their answer was to do what I’ve been doing. That’s not acceptable. I will be attempting to return this substandard equipment to Amazon expecting a refund, and then shopping for a different brand.

Did not work on my rugs
I have 4 different rugs in my house and the vacuum would not work on them. Even using the “high pile” setting, the rollers would not roll and when using it, it smelled like it was burning. For reference my rugs are only medium pile and 1/4” thick and standard rug pile height is 1/4-1/2” thick.

Worst vacuum I’ve ever owned!
I never write reviews, but you all deserve to be warned about this one. This is a horrible vacuum. Do not buy it. There is no setting that works for thinner rugs, like a Ruggable washable rug. It just sucks the rug up into it and then plugs it up. If you choose a setting for a higher pile carpet, it doesn’t get the rug clean. I definitely regret this purchase. I’ve only had this vacuum for a week, and I’m already buying a different one.
