For years I have always purchased my vacuum’s based on “price”. For some reason I felt the more expensive vacuum was better quality I I WAS ABSOLUTELY WRONG !!!! – – It took this purchase of the Bissell® CleanView Swivel Vacuum to proved to me price means NOTHING. It is expertly designed – very easy to use – to empty – to clear the hose of blocks. All the parts click into place perfectly. The suction is unbelievably strong and the hose is nice and long so I can reach up to the ceiling with no problems. I THINK BISSELL DESERVES A THUMBS UP FOR THIS ONE !!!!!
I bought this in September 2024, and the drive belt broke in January 2025. Drive belts and filters are not covered under warranty. Given that these are prone to break, you would think the design would facilitate replacement – but no. Rather than a simple system without screws, you have to remove 7 screws to get to the brush area. In my case, dog hair had built up underneath the belt cover and eventually broke the drive belt. In the picture, the lime green plastic cover on the left is where the belt is. Note that you would have to remove the cover screws to clean the brush or even to simply check for dog hair build up. I bet the screws aren’t under warranty either, since stripping them is all too likely. Otherwise, I love how good a job this does pulling up Golden Retriever fur off the carpet. It is a shame none of the product designers considered whether it is simple to maintain.

Bad Design
Not intended for double coated dogs who shed a lot on the carpet. I have medium pile carpet and a Pomsky and I used this once and I had to unscrew all 7 screws to pop the bottom off to look at the belt twice now. There has been hair clogged and now wrapped around the belt. This design is awful, why is hair even able to go in this area. It started to burn the hair omitting a smoke and smell. I couldn’t even vacuum longer than 15 minutes before having to clear the belt each time.

This vacuum was good. Lasted. I bought another Bissell, different version which bound up with PET HAIR ( aren’t pets what they pride themselves in) in less than 3 months of use. Contacted the co thru chat online and the service was absolutely horrible because I fixed it on my own and didn’t follow their advice. Like I’m going to wait when I need to clean. Will NEVER buy another BISSELL!!

Great purchase for dog hair
I had bought a robot vacuum to help with dog hair and it was pretty much useless. This new Bissell works beautifully and has convenient and accessible attachments right on the machine. I was stunned how much hair came up the first time. We have a yellow lab / Great Pyrenees mix and she sheds…a lot. We have both carpet and hard surface floors and I’m glad we bought this vacuum. The only negative for me is this model doesn’t have lights. I’m glad we bought this, though. It’s easy to use. Easy to empty.

Terrible for pet fur
This vacuum clogs about every 3rd time I vacuum. (I am emptying the canister every time it gets to the “fill line”). It is advertised for pet fur, but the fur gets stuck behind the belt. The fur packs in and then the belt can no longer turn. You then have to take out 7 screwed and pull out all the fur (that will burn and smell disgusting if you don’t catch it quick). This whole process is time consuming and infuriating that it has to be done so often. I do not recommend if you have pets.

I’ve had it for almost 9 months. Was working well did the job, but as I was using it recently it just started smoking. Disappointed with the amount of time, usually you’d think the products would last longer. Tried to reach out to bissell specifically they say the model # doesn’t exist.

This is an okay vacuum for the money. It is super lightweight, but seems cheap and likely pieces will break off in the near future. I had a nice Hoover Wind Tunnel, but pieces broke on it too. I don’t know why manufacturers cheap out on the materials for areas of the vacuum that have have high stress. I am not likely to buy this one again, but it is good enough for now.

Clearview until you use it 4 or 5 time. Then the plastic gets scratched and no more Clearview. But it cleans like a little monster. The swivel has uses once you figure out how and when to use it. It leans to one side when stored because of the swivel function.

This is an aux vac so I don’t have to lug my Dyson upstairs. Unfair comparison, but i can’t help,it. The cord is plenty long, but stiff and kinky and it will never straighten out. I dislike having to disconnect them hose to use the wand. I have to laugh at all the vacs out there with clear canisters to make them look like a Dyson. However it does a good job at separating the dust out with little on the filter. Nice beater and good suction. My last Dyson lasted 30 years, this might make it 5 years, we’ll see.

Good for pet hair!
Love it so far! I bought this one to replace another vacuum. I love the swivel head and how much quieter it is compared to my old one. I had a Dirt Devil previously. I have nothing against the brand. But I did buy the cheapest upright, canister vacuum I could find, at the time. It worked well except for always having to put the belt back on because I ran something over or sucked something up. I got tired of always having to put it back on. The final straw was when it kept coming off 4X inside of 10 minutes, just from regular vacuuming, I was DONE. Anyway, the reason why I bought a Bissell was because I had purchased a Bissell carpet cleaner last year and have been very pleased with it. I also needed a machine that could handle pet hair as i have 4 cats. So I figured this was the way to go. For the money and quality, it was worth it.

Is it possible to love a vacuum? If so, this is love! I follow @gocleanco and watched her carpet cleaner reviews, which was really helpful. She rated this an 8/10 and it seemed it would be a great one for our home. I set the height on lowest setting to clean our tile floor and it worked wonderfully. I changed the setting a bit for carpet and, again, did its job. Very happy!

Design flaw
First off let me say it does a good job picking up fur and such. But it has a major fatal design flaw. The fur gets stuck in the top half of the canister and good luck getting it out. Because lo and behold – there is no way to get to the top of the canister like a Dyson. It’s closed off. Now tell me how that makes sense. So you have to fish the fur out w a hangar for 20/25 minutes. Do not buy this until they fix the flaw.

AMAZING Value
Had to replace a $$$ German-engineered vacuum that we dropped and broke. Wanted a great value and this did not disappoint. Amazing suction, picked up so much dirt and pet hair in about 20 seconds, we were shocked (thought the carpet was pretty clean). Easy to assemble, light and fairly quiet. If your dog sheds avoid this
I have a Sheltie and he sheds A LOT. This vacuum picks up very well but the motor in the vacuum is horrible and doesn’t last. After only 2 uses it’s acting up making a smell that smells like it is overheating despite emptying multiple times . I would not recommend it because you probably won’t get your money out of it. This is the second one that has done this.

Yowza!! Dirt you didn’t even know you had!
I vacuumed with my $$Miele$$ canister vac 2 days before this photo. I bought this upright because I’m getting older and lugging the canister vac is becoming more of a chore than the actual vacuuming. (!!) I did a living room area rug and 3 hall runners and I had to stop to dump the canister. Wow. The particulars: It’s surprisingly light, very easy to “assemble” (connect handle and hose). The suction is incredible, but easy to dial back if you don’t want to feel like you’re moving a brick when you go across the rug. I was astonished with the amount of pet hair and dust it picked up after just having vacuumed 2 days ago with the Miele. The handle detaches to become a wand to vac like a canister vac (why did I even buy that darn canister vac). There’s a upholstery attachment and a brush attachment for who knows what, and they thankfully stayed put while I vacuumed. The dust bin detaches easily. That said, vacs have bags for a reason, and you’ll find that out when you dump it and dust goes every as you whack it against the trash bin to get everything out. I seriously felt like I needed a shower after that, but settled for washing my hands. If you feel the need to judge, get a different vacuum. Personally, I think this bad boy rocks.

Fantastic Vacuum!
This vacuum replaced my old Shark Lift Away Delux. It lifted EVERYTHING the shark didn’t. For reference, I vacuumed just last week. And this is how much the new one picked up. I would greatly recommend this vacuum if you are in the market to buy one. The cord management system is also very handy. Rather than winding up the cord in about 30 seconds to a minute, this takes right around 10 seconds to get wound up. I love this vacuum!

Buy this! I have owned Dysons (Animal and the Ball) and most recently invested in a Shark. This vac beats both in suction and ease of use (swivel handle is awesome!) it’s also very lightweight, which is mind-boggling for how well it sucks up. You don’t have to spend $500+ for a great vac. I’m picking up a second one to keep upstairs. If I *had* to pick on this vac, it’s a bit bulky so I can’t slide it under my bed as far as the others. It also has a much broader floor vac head, which I love, but it means it doesn’t go in between all of the areas my smaller vac did. It just means I have to use the hose attachment a little more often. But overall, I love it.

Great at blowing dust all over.
The reviews on the vacuum seem insane after owning it for 2 years. Before purchasing this vacuum I didn’t do my research and just went based off Amazon reviews which is a dumb thing to do. The suction and operation are all fine but it is an unsealed system which means it blows dust everywhere as you’re vacuuming. I have since ordered a vacuum that is a sealed system and the results are night and day. I was always wondering how I had so much dust, even went so far as to spend hundreds of dollars having my windows resealed and my vents cleaned thinking that was the problem. Nope I was ***literally*** blowing dust all over my home when I would vacuum. To be fair this isn’t specific to this vacuum but the truth is you need to spend a bit more and buy a fully sealed system, anything else seems bonkers to me!

Loved at first but after 9 months horrible!!!
Was great at first, suction worked well especially with dog hair. After having for about 9 months it stopped suction and would have a terrible burnt smell. I took it apart completely and cleaned every part but it still will not suction up anything. Very disappointing when it’s less than a year old!

Good Product Not Nice Packaging
I received it however not in a nice packaging condition and the packaging itself wasn’t that appealing. The packaging was a cardboard box with a picture of the product and some other explanations written on it, and I received it with scratches all over the packaging! It’d be great if you could take this into consideration for later purchases since it is a good product that deserves to come with nice packaging as well. Design flaw: Brush roll continuously spins
This vacuum has great suction and really picked up a tremendous amount of hair and dirt. However, the brush roll does not stop spinning when it’s in an upright position or when the hose is being used. This results in the brush roll clawing and repetitively spinning on the same spot on the carpet causing some carpet to pull out or get chewed up. This happened when I was spending some time using the hose attachment on my couch. Too bad because I would have kept the vacuum if it didn’t have the brush roll problem.

I just moved into a new apartment and did a test run to see how much dirt the vacuum would pick up. The apartment was already cleaned by previous tenants and the carpet appeared to be perfectly clean. This vacuum picked up so much stuff, it was grossly satisfying. Noise level is a 6/10. Quiet compared to most vacuums. The washable filter is a nice feature. It’s a very light vacuum with great range of motion. I would buy it again in the future.

I vacuum everyday! I’ve used the same vacuum brand for years. Recently I felt like it wasn’t doing a great job because my dogs hair was everywhere even with a daily vacuum. I received this vacuum yesterday. I just vacuumed a tiny area just to see if I could tell a difference, and it instantly filled the container with dog hair and dust that didn’t appear to be at surface level. My dog sheds like crazy, so although I’m extremely impressed at first use, I’ll see if it continues to keep up with his hair. So far, I would 100% recommend this vacuum to anyone.

Can’t vacuum shag carpet

Belt broke on 1st use
The vacuum itself seemed to pick up well. We purchased as we have dogs and chose this particular vacuum for that purpose. Within 15 min of using we smelt smoke and brush was not spinning so we knew the belt broke but so we opened up and it was indeed broken in half. We decided to keep and are buying the whole kit now of new belts, brush, etc. Hoping this was a 1 time occurrence and belt will last longer than 1 time but if not, we will send back. Fingers crossed!

If you accidentally vacuum up an LOL shoe and your daughter is distraught, there’s no easy way to reach in and grab it. The suction is bad and I have to do pass after pass for normal messes. I spend more time unclogging the hose than vacuuming with it. Wish I hadn’t bought it.

Keeps the fine dust in the tank
