For years I have always purchased my vacuum’s based on “price”. For some reason I felt the more expensive vacuum was better quality I I WAS ABSOLUTELY WRONG !!!! – – It took this purchase of the Bissell® CleanView Swivel Vacuum to proved to me price means NOTHING. It is expertly designed – very easy to use – to empty – to clear the hose of blocks. All the parts click into place perfectly. The suction is unbelievably strong and the hose is nice and long so I can reach up to the ceiling with no problems. I THINK BISSELL DESERVES A THUMBS UP FOR THIS ONE !!!!!
I bought this in September 2024, and the drive belt broke in January 2025. Drive belts and filters are not covered under warranty. Given that these are prone to break, you would think the design would facilitate replacement – but no. Rather than a simple system without screws, you have to remove 7 screws to get to the brush area. In my case, dog hair had built up underneath the belt cover and eventually broke the drive belt. In the picture, the lime green plastic cover on the left is where the belt is. Note that you would have to remove the cover screws to clean the brush or even to simply check for dog hair build up. I bet the screws aren’t under warranty either, since stripping them is all too likely. Otherwise, I love how good a job this does pulling up Golden Retriever fur off the carpet. It is a shame none of the product designers considered whether it is simple to maintain.

What the heck? How does it shred the plastic out of nowhere? I love the auction, but bought one in 2021, 2023, and 2024. First one lasted 2 years, second 1 year, and this one TWO MONTHS. That’s crappy, Amazon. Do better.

Terrible quality
We bought this same vacuum in 2018 and it lasted for 5-6 and was great so when we needed a new one I bought the same. It lasted 6 months before it started having issues, smell of burning, belt not functioning right. My husband has taken it apart put it back together to make sure it isn’t clogged/nothing stuck. Just a garbage product now, frustrating

I’ve been buying Bissell for 40+ yrs and I’ve always been happy until this vacuum. This vacuum beats me up by falling on me when I’m using the hose to get under couches and beds, the hose is sooo stiff you can’t maneuver it without the vacuum falling on my back. Other than that great power. That’s my only complaint.

My old vac was going out. I had it for about 5 years and my brother gave it to me when i got my own house so idk how long he had it before that. It was also a bissell and let me tell u, that was probably the best vac I’ve ever owned, I was sad to see it go. I tried searching for the same one, couldn’t find it so I got this one instead, with only a couple very minor differences. I had just vacuumed my living room 2 days before my new one was delivered. I opened the box, took about 5 mins to assemble. Super easy. Vacuumed my living room to test it out and it picked up soooo much!!!! Pic provided is of just one use in my living room, only 2 days after I last vacuumed. I have a long haired indoor cat and a fluffy frenchie so, pet hair is of the essence in my house to say the least. I love that its a swivel, however I am going to miss the auto wind up cord part on my old vac. Pretty even trade tho I think. All in all, I can highly recommend this vacuum 👌

After watching YouTube video reviews and reading Amazon reviews, I purchased this vacuum to replace my 14 yr old Eureka upright vacuum. I’m happy with it. It feels cheap like some reviews stated but works well. The price reflects the feeling of inexpensive construction. It feels light and is easy to use. It has a swivel head that is a nice feature. Also washable filters, although I will use new filters. It leaves the carpet with a nice smooth finish, which looks great.

Cheapened Original Product
The original that was released I owned, however thanks to Hurricane Helene, I was forced to replace my vacuum. I THOUGHT the obvious choice was to replace with the same product. I couldn’t be further from the truth! The product came down in price, and so disappointed the quality – right down to the blow molded plastic for the handle. It is flimsy, thin and if one isn’t careful when attaching the screws to join the two pieces together you’ll strip the plastic. Nothing some resin or that ape glue won’t fix but it takes time but frankly you shouldn’t have to. The beater bar is more sparse filled. Yet another disappointment. The hose attachment now is hooked into the back wall of the unit and can be unplugged easier should one clog the vacuum. I’ve never clogged through hose of my old vacuum though and even managed to run a socket through the old one. I’m concerned they downgraded the motor now with this change. The HEPA filter is not located on the top of the canister versus the bottom where it used to be. Why they changed that makes no sense to me. I don’t know if the old HEPA filters and new are interchangeable as I always took care of my filter and rinsed it a few times a year, and also blew it out with my industrial sized compressor. The attachments appear to be the same other than the hose itself, again more cheaply made. It swivels as good as the old one did, so on that end I don’t see any real changes there. Considering how much I maneuver around chairs and furniture in some of the more cozy rooms of my home I find that a plus and worth considering to keep the piece of crud. As, this Bissell I will now consider a throw away vacuum and not even worth salvaging the accessories that come with it. Speaking of accessories, the flat triangle piece for upholstered furniture now has no home on the vacuum itself. The other accessories all have homes, however this piece isn’t even mentioned in the directions and legend in the mapping of what goes where. What moron forgot that detail? Who doesn’t want all the accessories handy when they clean? SMH Honestly, had my husband not tossed the box in his work dumpster I would have sent the vacuum packing back to Amazon. It just isn’t worth our hard earned money when compared to the original. I hope the owners and / or shareholders enjoy those pennies they saved. It’ll show up in bad reviews, short lifespans and sales. Save a dog but ruin the planet twice as fast. Nice going, Bissell.

Motor Burned out a year after purchase
Decided to give bissel a try after my shark vacuum died…big mistake. Barely after a year of use the motor died on us amd almost caught fire. We weren’t overusing it, typical usage for a family of 4 and a dog. Will never use a bissel product again. Avoid this one at all costs. Not worth the money at all

Nice light weight vacuum
Works good. Easy to use. Light in weight. Just wish it had a retractable cord and the joints came apart easier for vacuuming steps. Sometimes I feel like I need 3 hands to maneuver the vac to use with the tools.

Belt melted on to the spinner brush after 4 months. Needed a replacement part
This vacuum works very well. After about 4 months we noticed a burning smell. Took the bottom apart to find the belt melted right onto the spinner brush. Video attached. We purchased a new belt and brush and will test to see if it makes a difference. Overall, we do love this vacuum since it picks up a lot of our dog’s fur.

Not for Pet Hair
The air vents are at an angle that blows dust and hair up in the air in front of you. Not good for pet hair. Most Bissell vacuums have the vents in the center and those ones work great. Threw away the box or I would return it.

This vacuum was used only about four times in my home. Fourth time the roller brush stopped rolling, melted some of the plastic in the front cover, and snapped the belt. Do not buy this product. I usually purchase Dyson, I should have known better.

I LOVE this vacuum and I had a Rotweiller/German Shepherd who she’d constantly. I was in my final month of pregnancy and it was easy to continue cleaning daily. After the baby was born, he began taking an interest in the vacuum by the time he was 5 months old. Now it is a daily thing he’s into. Overall, it is powerful, well-sized, not too atrocious in volume, and I would buy again. It is working very well though.

Wind blowing out instead of blowing in
This thing is doing opposite of what it’s supposed to do. Blows out wind instead of blowing in, spreading dust and debris all over floor instead of picking them up. So frustrating 😫 😑

Good vacuum
This is a good vacuum for the price. This replaced my heavy duty Kirby vacuum that was insanely heavy, so I really love how lightweight this is. The swivel head on it is awesome. And it’s easy to clean out the canister. You just detach it with the push of a button, push another button on the canister, the bottom opens up, all the debris falls out. I have a St. Bernard, and while I love him to death, holy crap there is so much hair! And he constantly brings debris in from outside-leaves and twigs and whatever else gets stuck in his hair and paws. It has the TurboEraser pet hair attachment that works really well on furniture to remove hair. The attachment makes it a little loud, but I’ve had these before and they all are. I haven’t had this vacuum long but I have to use it everyday because of my dog. Every. Freaking. Day and it’s held up well. I do have 2 issues with this vacuum however. As you can see in the picture, is the cord wrap holder is completely detached on one side and almost completely detached on the other side. It is very flimsy and once it totally comes off, I don’t know what I’m going to have to do to try to hold the cord on. The second thing is when you do use that TurboEraser pet attachment, being that the vacuum is so lightweight and the hose is a little bit stiff (which could just be because it’s so new), you have to hold on to the vacuum as your vacuuming so it doesn’t fall over. Neither of those two things are deal breaker for me. I’ll probably just try super gluing the holder on.

Very nice vacuum
I bought this to replace my old Dyson DC14. The beater bar stopped working so I ordered a new clutch. Tried to install it and broke the plastic that holds the bar in place. The plastic got brittle over the years so it wasn’t worth messing with it. Once I got this one I was pleasantly surprised at how light it is. It actually performs as well as, if not better than, the old Dyson. It’s not very loud, is easy to maneuver and I can easily pick it up with one hand. I am very pleased with this vacuum.

The vacuum assembled easily and quickly. I have vacuumed three rooms with this, one room twice. Seems to be doing a great job. It is picking up a lot of dog hair. My biggest complaint so far is that the vacuum is short. If you are much taller than 5 and 1/2 ft, it is going to be short for you. Also, the extension hose is not very long, so if you want to vacuum cobwebs off your ceiling, you are going to have to heft up the vacuum in one hand and run the hose with the other.

The swivel function broke after a little bit over a year. It sucks it you keep it straight, but it doesn’t stay up straight on its own. It’s a safety hazard; it’s going to fall and whack my kid if they walk by. I’m tired of crappy vacuums I have to keep replacing.
