For years I have always purchased my vacuum’s based on “price”. For some reason I felt the more expensive vacuum was better quality I I WAS ABSOLUTELY WRONG !!!! – – It took this purchase of the Bissell® CleanView Swivel Vacuum to proved to me price means NOTHING. It is expertly designed – very easy to use – to empty – to clear the hose of blocks. All the parts click into place perfectly. The suction is unbelievably strong and the hose is nice and long so I can reach up to the ceiling with no problems. I THINK BISSELL DESERVES A THUMBS UP FOR THIS ONE !!!!!
I bought this in September 2024, and the drive belt broke in January 2025. Drive belts and filters are not covered under warranty. Given that these are prone to break, you would think the design would facilitate replacement – but no. Rather than a simple system without screws, you have to remove 7 screws to get to the brush area. In my case, dog hair had built up underneath the belt cover and eventually broke the drive belt. In the picture, the lime green plastic cover on the left is where the belt is. Note that you would have to remove the cover screws to clean the brush or even to simply check for dog hair build up. I bet the screws aren’t under warranty either, since stripping them is all too likely. Otherwise, I love how good a job this does pulling up Golden Retriever fur off the carpet. It is a shame none of the product designers considered whether it is simple to maintain.

I’ve had a Bissell vacuum for many, many years. It finally gave up the ghost. So I bought another Bissell. I got the new vacuum a week after having used the old one. I was astounded! The first time I used the new one, the canister was Full! It was easy to use and obviously worked very well. I would try this vacuum, for sure!

Don’t Waste Your Money!
At first the vacuum worked fine and I liked the swivel and low profile features. I live alone in an average size apartment with my two very demanding medium hair kitties. Within 6 months the belt broke twice which was a pain to replace because you had to take the entire bottom off, about 10 screw’s. I’ve had the vacuum about a year and a half, changed the belt more times i can remember and the vacuum now sounds like fright train. I finally had it when the belt broke again the other day merely by catching the corner of the bed skirt in it. I’m not poor, not rich but paying $140 for this vacuum to last a little over a year is too expensive in my opinion. There are better vacuums out there for half the price… keep looking.

Great Vacuum
My last vacuum was heavy and hard to maneuver. When it died, I was excited to replace it. I chose this vacuum not only for the price but the reviews and weight of this vacuum were what convinced me to try it. The suction is really good, pulling up dirt and hair my old vacuum left behind. My large dog sheds like crazy, but this vacuum handles it very well. It is much easier for me to use, the dirt cup is really easy to remove empty and replace. I’m 72 with several mobility issues, but this vacuum has made things so much easier for me.

I bought this for my daughter and it will not work, she has contacted the manufacturer and nobody will get back to her. It works, then just shows all sorts of codes and will not work. She loved it up until it will not work. Alot of money and a short time of owning.

Horrible on high pile, thick carpet with thick padding, otherwise great.
I’ve had this model since 2019, and it’s been a fantastic vacuum cleaner. But we recently bought a high pile (1/2″ to 5/8″) thick carpet with a premium 1/2″ pad and I literally have to muscle the vacuum cleaner forward. When pushing it forward, it just kind of nose dives into the carpet, and it’s WAY beyond being practical to use. Works great on hard flooring and mid-pile carpets and rugs. So I would recommend if you don’t have high pile, thick carpet. I’m now in the market for a new vacuum cleaner.

Easy to maneuver; easy assembly
Had a similar style vacuum from a competitor brand and this new vacuum is a game changer. First, easy to assemble. Second: it is lighter weight-wise which makes maneuverability easy. Good suction; standard array of cleaning tools for various surfaces. Zero complaints though wish the attachments hose was a bit longer. For the price —gets the job done. A+

Did not last long
I bought this in February. It is now September and the brush roller won’t spin. You have to take apart and clean frequently especially if you have a pet hair problem. I tried my best to take care of this machine so I’m not happy that it didn’t even last a year. I liked the swivel but the hose was really short and the tools weren’t great.

This was a purchase that was made due to the price of other high name branded vacuums. However this vacuum did not dissapoint. It works incredibly. It’s easy to use in tight spaces. The vacuum is easy to clean, light to carry around and doesn’t clog. I enjoy it a lot and my wife won’t stop talking about it.

It has powerful pickup which is important to me and is attractive in color, etc. It is not quite as heavy as some others of the same type which is also important to me due to my age and stamina, and is simple to keep clean and to assemble and change filters. I am very happy with mine. The only thing that I don’t care for is the cord, which is a firm plastic and, therefore, is not very flexible to handle when vacuuming, but I can work around it.

Missing screws
This was missing the two screws for the handle, tried calling Bissell support and they claim they don’t make this vacuum or the screws anymore, and they’re not screws you can just pick up at the hardware story but OEM. Amazon refusing to help. Won’t be buying Bissell again.

Belt burns up immediately
Used this vacuum a handful of times before the belt melted. I cleaned out everything and made sure the brush was rotating properly but the next two belts melted instantly. Looks like a fair number of other folks appear to have this issue as well. Maybe a case of cheap parts on a cheap vacuum.

This vacuum was so powerful. I had been working on cleaning carpets at my Nanas home and used this vacuum as a test on a rug I had admittedly already used my cordless Dyson on, twice. It just didn’t seem clean though, so I used this on it and when I tell you how much gunk and years of dirt this machine got up. It was amazing! I love this vacuum. Easy to use, not too big, not too heavy, amazing machine.

Dangerous to operate!
The rotating brush of this vacuum cleaner cannot be turned off when using the hose. While using the hose, I accidentally pulled the vacuum cleaner over my bare foot and the rotating brush peeled off a corner of my toe nail. This is an unacceptable hazard. Would not recommend.

Not feeling great, but it vacuums I guess
$120 bucks seemed like it should get me a pretty quality vacuum in my mind, but I guess this it what counts as a budget buy in today’s day and age. Its light weight, so it’s easy to haul around, but it could also mean it’s just made of cheap plastic. By the feel I’m betting that might be the case. No way to raise or lower the head so if you have a more plush carpet it seals itself to the floor and become much harder to maneuver. Generates quite a bit of heat after a short period of time and that heat is directly in contact with the floor due to the positioning of the motor. No way to turn the brush off, which makes it not great for flat surfaces and actually harmful (as I unfortunately found out) if you leave it running on delicate surfaces. It tore a hole clean through a workout mat when I left it running to use one of the brush attachments to clean the cat tower. Glad I didn’t leave it running on my actual carpet, so who knows what damage it might’ve caused. Fill lines pretty low for a vacuum advertised for pet hair. So for anyone trying to clean up after an animal (mine is a husky/lab mix and it’s maybe been two weeks) it reaches the fill point in a couple of minutes each time. Had to empty about 4 times for a 500ish sq ft space. On the upside the suction power itself is pretty great. It does work as a vacuum, but with very limited versatility. I won’t be send it back because I don’t have time for that crap. I just know I’ll have to be careful when using it and I guess I’ll make do. I like Bissell, I do not like this vacuum.

It sucks, but it sucks
The vacuum is nice and powerful but the height adjustment came from my grandma’s vacuum cleaner. Manual knob you have to reach down and turn to go from hardwood to carpet. Forget doing small area rugs with it. The vacuum will suck them up even at the highest setting and burn the belt up as it stops the bristles. I know it is affordable but I’d expect a little bit more modern conveniences with it. I would not rebuy.

Overall I like it. Excellent with floors. Great with carpets, not the best for rugs. Also the base doesn’t stay steady on the ground. You have to put a lot of pressure on it yo get it flush to the ground.

It’s got broken in 6 months

Highly recommend especially for pet owners
I LOVE this vacuum! I had a Dyson that I absolutely hated and had to take apart with a screwdriver after every use. This is such a much nicer, user friendly product. Lighter weight, much better swivel action and easy to access filter for cleaning and replacing. Great suction. This is the second bisell cleanview vacuum I’ve bought this year. All from Amazon. First one was in April, broke down. Second one in July, also broke down. I decided to open the bottom part and see if I could clean it out and get it to work. Only to find burned part at the bottom. I used to smell burning parts every time I’d vacuum but I couldn’t figure out where it was coming from. The bottom vacuum doesn’t work because the belt that causes the rotation is burned together with the roller. My return window was only a month so again, I’ve wasted money on this twice. Maybe it’s bad luck, idk!!!

Height Adjuster Doesn’t Work
I bought this vacuum on 7/22/24. Less than a month later the height adjuster does not work. I have used the vacuum 7 times. Not sure what is wrong. I ran through all it’s settings & nothing changes.

Terrible product!!!
Terrible product!!! It worked for about six weeks, then the belt broke so the rollers wouldn’t rotate. We bought a package of two new belts, put one on according to the directions, and it broke within two uses. Put the next belt on, and it broke after three uses. Don’t believe the reviews with 4 and 5 stars. These were likely written right after receiving the vacuum. It worked great for me as well, the first several times I used it and then it broke and that was it. The return policy is only good for 4 weeks. Very convenient for the manufacturer, when the life span is six weeks!

Crap Vacuum
I just bought this vacuum end of July 2024. Use is about 2-3x month, single house hold with wood floors, small shiba. I take it out to vacuum today and the brush wont rotate. Turns out thw band already broke 1-2 months into use. It is September 6, 2024. Cheaply made for this to already break with such light use.

Wish I had purchased sooner…
This vacuum is well worth the cost. I wish I had bought sooner, could have saved my self headache and time. Getting my own long brunette hair out of carpets is hard enough and then add my dogs fur. I purchased the silicone “broom” to help get hair off the rugs before passing over them with my old vacuum and even that was tough. This product in 1 pass did 4x the work for me. In one pass it got all the hair up. It’s also surprising lite in weight. Only thing that isn’t great is it does not seem to have a place to store all of the accessories, on the actual vacuum. One piece will have to life on the floor of the closet and just hope it doesn’t get misplace or lost.

Cons: plastic burning smell immediately. It gets super hot. (Seems like a fire hazard). It is SO LOUD. My cats are normally not scared of vacuums at all, this is the loudest vacuum I’ve ever owned and they’re rightfully terrified. I have it on the lowest level and it’s still soooo loud. It’s too large it’s not so easy to move around, I have to move my entire couch to even get close to the edges to clean it. The separate suction tube is so short. I can’t even reach the top of my couch to clean it. I’d have to put the entire vacuum on top of my couch if I wanted to clean it. Pro: it suctions well even on the lowest setting. I don’t have carpet tho so that helps. I’m sure if you have carpet, the lowest wouldn’t be enough, and if you put it on the highest, good luck with the concerning noise level… I didn’t listen to the bad reviews, and I regret it.
