For years I have always purchased my vacuum’s based on “price”. For some reason I felt the more expensive vacuum was better quality I I WAS ABSOLUTELY WRONG !!!! – – It took this purchase of the Bissell® CleanView Swivel Vacuum to proved to me price means NOTHING. It is expertly designed – very easy to use – to empty – to clear the hose of blocks. All the parts click into place perfectly. The suction is unbelievably strong and the hose is nice and long so I can reach up to the ceiling with no problems. I THINK BISSELL DESERVES A THUMBS UP FOR THIS ONE !!!!!
I bought this in September 2024, and the drive belt broke in January 2025. Drive belts and filters are not covered under warranty. Given that these are prone to break, you would think the design would facilitate replacement – but no. Rather than a simple system without screws, you have to remove 7 screws to get to the brush area. In my case, dog hair had built up underneath the belt cover and eventually broke the drive belt. In the picture, the lime green plastic cover on the left is where the belt is. Note that you would have to remove the cover screws to clean the brush or even to simply check for dog hair build up. I bet the screws aren’t under warranty either, since stripping them is all too likely. Otherwise, I love how good a job this does pulling up Golden Retriever fur off the carpet. It is a shame none of the product designers considered whether it is simple to maintain.

Over heated on first use
Wow. This Bissell Cleanview Swivel Pet is a complete piece of junk. I’m so surprised and disappointed. On my first use it over heated and smelled of burning rubber after only one or two passes on a regular pile rug. 10 minutes after my initial attempt to use it, the base of the unit was still hot to the touch. As another review mentioned, the pile height adjuster isn’t even connected to the brush roller. I can’t imagine any circumstance where this would be considered a good use of money. It’s absolutely a fire hazard. I have a Bissell hand vac that is terrific and well made. This clean view swivel is the opposite of that. This will be returned.

Arrived within 2 days. Very easy to assemble – only 2 screws. Well constructed. Best of all is the suction. Lowest setting (1) sucks our wood floors clean of all dust & dog hair and is too strong for rugs/carpets. So mid setting (3) is perfect to pull all dust & dog hair up from any carpet or rug. Cord is super long Easy to maneuver with swivel and easy to empty canister and wash out the cyclone filter. Clearly the best vacuum for your money.

Would be 5 stars without having to ‘reengineer’ fittings. I got this primarily for use in our camper, small and lightweight. What’s not entirely intuitive … The assembly instructions do not tell you which end of the hose goes where. The long end of the hose fits the attachments fine, but does not fit into the lower brush section. The long end pops out from the spring tension in the hose, and it wobbles not creating a tight seal. I wrapped a layer of Duck Tape around it to keep it in place (see pic). The short end that fits to the vacuum chamber didn’t fit. The fittings are the same size (ID and OD) and won’t couple. I got past this with a heat gun and hose clamp to ‘shrink’ the small end just enough to fit into the vacuum fitting. Basic Engineering flaws!!! Once it was reengineered, it works well. It’s light weight and I was pleasantly surprised at how well the ‘Turbo Brush’ worked! It’s ‘powered by the vacuum action so I was a bit skeptical, but it does work well.

We used to be able to get quality vacuums from Bissel but I guess not any more. The cord holder has to be installed and it broke immediately before it clipped into place. Lame vacuum that doesn’t do well on hard floors

Small and compact for small homes
I like this because it’s much smaller, lighter and easier to maneuver than a regular vacuum. Easier to store due to size. Only thing I don’t like is the hand use tube and attachment is very short.

This vacuum is lighter than other models. Emptying the canister is so easy, and much easier to clean than the average vacuum. On the first use, I was amazed by the amount of cat hair I picked up, seeing I had vacuumed with my old one the previous day. The vacuum has great suction power!

Do not vacuum over it’s own chord
This is a good cheap vacuum, but it’s a little powerful. I accidentally let this run and sit over it’s power chord and it ate the rubber off of it. Thankfully I have electrical tape and covered it and it still works. But that was terrifying not noticing it until I grabbed the chord right where it was missing rubber one day while cleaning. I did not get shocked at all. Also ate rubber off of my bike mat? So just be careful cleaning and turn it off if you are going to let it sit for a second. Don’t let it rest on something that isn’t carpet.

Been in use over a year now. Still operates very well with great suction. The only thing that bugs me is the height adjustment. I have new medium height carpet and the top height of the vacuum seems too low for it. So you really get a good workout vacuuming unless you lower the body with your arm. Then it’s rolls a bit easier. Overall a good vacuum, really sucks up pet hair.
