For years I have always purchased my vacuum’s based on “price”. For some reason I felt the more expensive vacuum was better quality I I WAS ABSOLUTELY WRONG !!!! – – It took this purchase of the Bissell® CleanView Swivel Vacuum to proved to me price means NOTHING. It is expertly designed – very easy to use – to empty – to clear the hose of blocks. All the parts click into place perfectly. The suction is unbelievably strong and the hose is nice and long so I can reach up to the ceiling with no problems. I THINK BISSELL DESERVES A THUMBS UP FOR THIS ONE !!!!!
I bought this in September 2024, and the drive belt broke in January 2025. Drive belts and filters are not covered under warranty. Given that these are prone to break, you would think the design would facilitate replacement – but no. Rather than a simple system without screws, you have to remove 7 screws to get to the brush area. In my case, dog hair had built up underneath the belt cover and eventually broke the drive belt. In the picture, the lime green plastic cover on the left is where the belt is. Note that you would have to remove the cover screws to clean the brush or even to simply check for dog hair build up. I bet the screws aren’t under warranty either, since stripping them is all too likely. Otherwise, I love how good a job this does pulling up Golden Retriever fur off the carpet. It is a shame none of the product designers considered whether it is simple to maintain.

I was surprised there was no extension wand included and there are none for sale on their website. I checked aftermarket extensions, some reviews said they would fit and other reviews said they wouldn’t… Unless you’re willing to move furniture, there’s really no way to vacuum underneath anything. The vacuum is light. In fact, when using the hose attachments, it has a tendency to keep falling over. The suction is great. No complaints about that. Another thing I found surprising – I have wood floors and the manufacturer suggests not using the rotating bristles because over time, it can scratch. There’s no on/off switch to stop the rotation. My wishes for Bissell – make the hose longer and make the cord longer.

Initially, when I received the vacuum, I thought it was great. Easy to put together and easy to maneuver. However within 2 weeks it smelt like my house was burning down and full of smoke. After further investigation just a belt. Ok no big deal replaced the belt. It is now about 2 weeks later and same thing. I was literally vacuuming under the cushions on my couch. Nothing even fancy. Guess it’s time to find a new vacuum. This is ridiculous.

I am so impressed with this vacuum! The amount of grossness it picked up from my carpet AFTER vacuuming with the Shark is unbelievable. After using regularly for a few weeks, my carpet feels almost new again…and it continues to pull grime out, that had settled down deep. The only thing I don’t love is that the cord comes out the bottom, but that is only a minor annoyance that can be overlooked for how well it cleans my carpet!

This vacuum would be ideal IF all hair wouldn’t wrap instead the pocket where the belt is. Bought twice because a great design but it burned out on both. You MUST disassemble the bottom after each vacuuming and clear out the hair and dirt. Don’t waste your money!!!!!

For the price, this is a great vaccumm
We used to have a dyson that worked for years, but when it bit the dust, we had found a decent bissell quite cheap at an estate sale, and that worked well for many years, until the little spring that keeps it upright failed, and I was getting tired of fighting the hair tie I was using to hold it upright. I told myself I was going to save for another decent one, and had the price range of $200 – $300 in my head. I did a lot of research, and this one kept popping up with excellent reviews, and I couldn’t believe it was only @$100, so I figured for that price I would try it. It is amazing! Great suction power, and keeps up with our pup, which I vacuum way more times per week since He chose us. Im not saying it’s on the same level as a dyson, but it is very close, and for way less than 1/3 of the price, it is well worth the $$. We were very pleasantly surprised at what a good job it did picking up so much dirt!

I’ve only used this twice, so I hope I’m not being premature in my opinion. I couldn’t believe the cat fur that came out of my throw shag carpet–filled the tank. It’s easy to maneuver with the swivel head and not too heavy. It’s not real quiet but what vacuum is–very acceptable noise level. I appreciate that the tools are on-board. Dust bin is easy to empty. The only thing I would suggest is a light on the front. I knew when I ordered it that it didn’t have a light, so I wasn’t surprised. Other than the light, so far I’m pleased.

Best for the money, BUT…….
Well, for the price that you pay, it is hard to beat this vacuum at the price range. We have a 3 story house with areas of 3400 sq ft. And when we clean (when I say we, I meant the cleaning lady), “we” clean the entire house in one shot. So the requirements for our vacuum are 1. Not cordless, as it will not last for the entire house to be clean in one event (We tried the Dyson). 2. light enough, so we can carry up and down the stairs without cursing at it 3. Strong suction The good: It has strong suction. Very light to carry up and down the stairs for an upright vacuum. And it is probably the only one with swivel head for easy maneuvering at this price point. The bad: 1. Cord length. It is too short that I find my self plug and unplug twice in 1 room… in almost every room. The time I saved with an easy maneuvering swivel head, all used to unplug and find another wall outlet. 2. The floor height adjustment is too limited. In high pile carpet, the height adjustment is too limited and the vacuum can not be moved at all. In summary, if you have long pile carpet, this is NOT the vacuum for you. If you have only hard floor surface and short carpet, then it is a good bang for the buck…..

I love everything about this vacuum. It’s excellent g for me easy to use and I ant described how excellent this item is. Bag less which I love and easy to used and has extension to reach hard places. I will definitely buy more I the future when I need another one.

Terrible product
I bought this in February. It’s not like I use it all the time. I only use it on my area rug. It’s already smoking, you are telling me I can’t return. Very disappointed.

Although, I received my vacuum with dust particles on the outside and the attachments had dust as if they had been used, this vacuum is powerful. It is kind of on the moderately heavy side, but it is a pretty big sized vacuum. It has a lot of power and picks up so well.

Easy to maneuver, light weight and picks up cat hair
I live in a small house so it is nice to have a vacuum that can swivel easily into all the. corners, pick up fur from my 3 cats and light weight so I can transport it with ease.

Great Suction; Cleans Cat Hair
My last vacuum was on its last legs with little suction power. The price on this one was excellent. The suction is quite good and gets up cat hair just fine (I have two cats). The swiveling feature of the brush head makes moving it around obstacles a breeze. Would have liked a bit longer cord but you can’t have everything.
