For years I have always purchased my vacuum’s based on “price”. For some reason I felt the more expensive vacuum was better quality I I WAS ABSOLUTELY WRONG !!!! – – It took this purchase of the Bissell® CleanView Swivel Vacuum to proved to me price means NOTHING. It is expertly designed – very easy to use – to empty – to clear the hose of blocks. All the parts click into place perfectly. The suction is unbelievably strong and the hose is nice and long so I can reach up to the ceiling with no problems. I THINK BISSELL DESERVES A THUMBS UP FOR THIS ONE !!!!!
I bought this in September 2024, and the drive belt broke in January 2025. Drive belts and filters are not covered under warranty. Given that these are prone to break, you would think the design would facilitate replacement – but no. Rather than a simple system without screws, you have to remove 7 screws to get to the brush area. In my case, dog hair had built up underneath the belt cover and eventually broke the drive belt. In the picture, the lime green plastic cover on the left is where the belt is. Note that you would have to remove the cover screws to clean the brush or even to simply check for dog hair build up. I bet the screws aren’t under warranty either, since stripping them is all too likely. Otherwise, I love how good a job this does pulling up Golden Retriever fur off the carpet. It is a shame none of the product designers considered whether it is simple to maintain.

Best Pet Vacuum Ever, and My Last One Was a Dyson Pet Vacuum
As noted, my previous pet vacuum was a Dyson, which was extremely heavy and cumbersome; the hose could not be detached for cleaning, so no matter how well I cleaned the machine, I still smelled dust when I vacuumed and I had to clean stairs using the hard plastic tube which was inflexible. Bissell solved all of these irritating features. I can disconnect the hose to have a thoroughly clean machine, instead of just the filters and it is lightweight and quieter than the Dyson. The cord isn’t as long but longer cords get tied up in knots and you have to tend to them, so shorter is better. I highly recommend Bissell’s Pet Vacuum.

I had my mom’s old Dyson (probably about 12 years old) after moving out and it finally kicked the bucket yesterday. It definitely wasn’t great for cats to start with and wasn’t as strong as it could be but I didn’t realize how OLD it was. This was a complete 180. I did one pass on a 8×10 rug and it got EVERYTHING. All the dander all the fur. I had to fight with my runner because the suction was so strong (and the wood floor is a little … wavy in the hallway). It reaches most of my apartment from the central plug. I’m super ecstatic about the price point and the function.

Pet Hair Removal!
I’m so happy with this vacuum! I have one Newfoundland and several others who come over to visit every day. I have to use a shop vac (which doesnt get hair) first to get the big chunks, but this Bissel just sucked all the hair and embedded dirt right up. And it is super easy to use with the swivel function and large dust cup.

Worth every dollar spent
I had a Maxelite pet performance vacuum for 3 years. It did great (or so I thought). The handle broke off that vacuum so it was time to replace. I saw this Bisell was on sale, so I pulled the trigger. As you can see from the picture, this is from 3 small spaces with carpet. I’m not sure whether to be disgusted or impressed! Truly though, worth every dollar spent on this vacuum! 100/10 recommend!

I purchased this vacuum cleaner after researching and reading the reviews. It was well packaged and protected and was in perfect condition upon arrival. Super easy to assemble. Just two screws and put the various accessories on it. After giving my carpets a test vacuuming,I noticed what others had said. It really does a deep clean. It is so easy to use and navigate around furniture. The extra long power cord is invaluable. I highly recommend this vacuum cleaner not only for the low cost…but because it works very well!

I am really pleased on how well this vacuum works. I love that I can change floor height between wood floors and carpet, super easy to empty and the dust doesn’t float up during emptying. Great vacuum for a great price….hope it holds up for a long time!

Died after a year and a half of light use

Motor Blew Within Seconds
OMG, I put the vacuum together, turned it on and within seconds, the motor sparked very heavily, the vacuum made a popping sound and then smoke, and a horrible burnt smell. Also, from the way it was packaged, it looked like someone opened the box and messed with the contents.

Holy Hair Balls!
Just got it a few days ago and used it for the first time today. ..This is by far the best vacuum I have owned! It could suck the paint off the walls! JK – LOL! This Bissell replaced a crappy Dyson which wasn”t sucking up anything, apparently. Great to get all the dog hair off of the floor, carpet, couches, pillows, etc….. It was easy to put together, easy to handle. I love that you can adjust the suction according to what type of floor you are vacuuming. I also think its awesome that the attachments have a “storage spot” on the vacuum itself instead of having to find a place to store them and then forgetting where you put them when you needn’t them. I clean houses for a living and so far I’m pleased, after a few weeks of use. I do wish that the adjustment from hard floor to carpet was on the handle because I have to bend down so often to change it up. And the head is too thick to fit under furniture well. Would also have preferred a retractable cord. But overall it’s a good vacuum, very long cord, and fairly lightweight, which I also appreciate.

Belt broke first day!
I received my Bissell 2252L today. After using for 10 minutes the brush stopped rotating. You have to remove 7 screws to get to the brush. Once I removed the brush housing the belt fell out, broken. Before that I was really impressed with the suction power. However, I am pissed off that I have to wait to receive a new belt before I can finish vacuuming!!!!!!

This Vacuum Sucks eggs; Amazon won’t help, neither will Bissell. I bought it less than a Year ago. It’s HEAVY, UNMANEUVERABLE, AND FORGET VACUUMING WITH IT! THE BRISTLE/ROLLERS ARE TOO MUCH! I’m Stuck with it, and $130 down the toilet! Bissell wouldn’t even Exchange it for a more maneuverable & Lighter vacuum. You have to constantly pick this vacuum up & clean a small area, then pick the whole thing up again! It won’t clean a rug unless it’s a Cheap, Flat Runner, then it wants to suck that one up! Regardless of what Setting it’s on, Forget It if your area Rugs or Wall to Wall carpeting is 1/4-1/2″. It just stops when you try to vacuum. I’m 5’1″, 110 Lbs., and it is simply a pain in the Butt, & the Back to use. The only good feature is it Swivels. My advice: Pass on This One. Cindy from Loveland, Colorado

Burned out rubber belt drive on roller
Unfortunately, after 3 months of normal domestic use on hard floors and medium and deep pile carpets, our model burned out. It was very good up until this point. We started to smell burning and decided to clean the roller head, we found the drive belt completely melted at one section and stuck to its housing. It got too hot and the belt wasn’t heat resistant material. Designers need to re-spec the belt material from rubber to something more heat resistant.

I wish you wouldnt have a picture of carpet and a thing saying multi surface.. i cant use on my very flat non fuzzy area rug which is half the reason i wanted it. Does s good job picking up debris food dog hair etc on the hardwood floor but thats not saying much for a vacuum. Like yes it turns on lol. If i didnt impulsively ditch the packaging i probably wouldve exchanged it for something useful.

Great Vacuum!
When I unpacked this vacuum cleaner I didn’t think I was going to like it…it is made of incredibly cheap feeling plastic. I was so wrong…this vacuum is a real work-horse! I really put it through its paces when I used it in every carpeted room in my house. The suction is amazing. It picked up everything in its path. So far I love this vacuum so much more than my past ones. It’s light enough to pick up and carry from room to room which is a bonus. It’s pretty loud (to me) but it’s a small thing when it works so well. My one complaint is that it doesn’t have a self retracting cord and it can become a real nuisance when you have to keep wrapping the cord around your arm as you move around the room. The hooks on the back of the vacuum where you have to wrap the cord up when you’re done is a little too small. The cord keeps falling off of the hooks because they aren’t quite wide enough…it’s a bit annoying but I guess I’ll live with it. I would still recommend this vacuum because it really does do the job!

Easy setup and I like the color. Performs well..easy height adjustment. I don’t have to deal with pet hair so I’m much less hard on the vacuum. Mostly alot of dust balls around my place. Only used it once but so far as I can tell I think it will last me awhile. The vacuum pictured on the left I recommend. The perfect sweep pictured on the right I cannot recommend. Very weak even for a sweeper.
