For years I have always purchased my vacuum’s based on “price”. For some reason I felt the more expensive vacuum was better quality I I WAS ABSOLUTELY WRONG !!!! – – It took this purchase of the Bissell® CleanView Swivel Vacuum to proved to me price means NOTHING. It is expertly designed – very easy to use – to empty – to clear the hose of blocks. All the parts click into place perfectly. The suction is unbelievably strong and the hose is nice and long so I can reach up to the ceiling with no problems. I THINK BISSELL DESERVES A THUMBS UP FOR THIS ONE !!!!!
I bought this in September 2024, and the drive belt broke in January 2025. Drive belts and filters are not covered under warranty. Given that these are prone to break, you would think the design would facilitate replacement – but no. Rather than a simple system without screws, you have to remove 7 screws to get to the brush area. In my case, dog hair had built up underneath the belt cover and eventually broke the drive belt. In the picture, the lime green plastic cover on the left is where the belt is. Note that you would have to remove the cover screws to clean the brush or even to simply check for dog hair build up. I bet the screws aren’t under warranty either, since stripping them is all too likely. Otherwise, I love how good a job this does pulling up Golden Retriever fur off the carpet. It is a shame none of the product designers considered whether it is simple to maintain.

Terrible Vacuum
I can’t believe people gave this vacuum good reviews at all. I bought this vacuum less than 3 months ago and it already is broken. The vacuum is not easy to control. It rolls sideways and all weird directions on hard floor. On carpet it gets stuck in some places with too much suction even after adjusting the dial for floor height (which is inconveniently located on the bottom of the vacuum). Now the brush roll is extremely loud when the vacuum is on, and it smells of burnt rubber and plastic. We noticed on the bottom that part of the plastic screw holes are now melted. Just nothing about this vacuum is good. Not one thing. Don’t waste your money!

This vacuum is not for high carpet
This vacuum will not vacuum your high carpet. It will vacuum your medium carpet at most. It was advertised that it’s for high carpet, and that it works great. It does not. It gets stuck, and the belts will rip and my carpet isn’t even that high. very disappointed should’ve went with a different vacuum. Other than that it works fine and it vacuums bare floors well. If you’re looking for a vacuum for a medium high too high carpet, do not buy this vacuum go with a different one.

Really does a fantastic job
So far it’s the best I’ve had for picking up pet hair. Its a large cleaner with a nice sized dirt tank so you don’t have to stop and empty it halfway through vacuuming. The attachments are nice for furniture and floorboards. The length of the cord is fantastic ,nice and long. Beater bar does a great job of lifting and cleaning carpet and bare floors. Pretty quiet too. Very good value for price

I have 2 dogs and 3 cats and let me tell you…I love this vacuum cleaner! It has adjustable pile height so I can use it on laminate safely. The first time I vacuumed my living room area rug omg it looked so clean and colors were crisp. I now know my old vacuum wasn’t getting the job done. My favorite part is the power tool. So much easier to clean upholstery and cushions on my kitchen table chairs. You won’t be disappointed… great performance at a great price.

big and not for bunny clean up
I bought this bc I have a long hair rabbit who is potty trained and runs about my house; unfortunately the numerous amounts of hair mixedin with straw bedding get stuck in the front and along the tubing so I must sweep with a broom before I vacuum . Also the head of the vacuum is large and doesn’t fit under much of my furniture and it’s rather heavy and bulky. I would purchase this again even though the suction is excellent.

I wanted one of those for a while but they were expensive. We have 3 dogs and one sheds constantly. My old vacuum didn’t get all the pet hair up. The first time I used this, I was shocked. It filled the canister almost 1/4 with pet hair and other debris that I couldn’t even see on the carpet. I use it on the bare floors also and it works great. I highly recommend it and I love that it swivels too.

Works on higher pile carpet!
I purchased hoping to get dust and dirt out of my apartment carpet and this was perfect! Suction was strong and worked well with the high pile carpet in my bedroom. I just steam cleaned my carpet a couple weeks ago after using a weaker vacuum and this vacuum cleaned the floor so well. It was easy to assemble, light weight and easy to maneuver. It isn’t a compact vacuum but it is worth the extra storage space needed. I have one dog short hair dog and I clean very often, dues to shedding. I feel like I will do a much better job of cleaning now with this vacuum.

Who knew a vacuum could change your life
I have three cats and a dog that sheds year round. I now have a 7mo old who loves to crawl on the floor and I would cringe putting her down every time because of the hair. The most powerful vacuum we have ever had
We have a German Shepard that sheds constantly, and have struggled with getting his hair up from our carpets. Our Kenmore canister and a Shark upright just couldn’t handle it. The Bissell lives up to its claims! We have hardwood floors and large area rugs, and almost filled the vacuum in one pass! Getting the rugs clean of hair also reduces the amount we find on the hardwood floors. We are completely happy with this purchase.

My girlfriend’s dog is a mix between a Shar Pei and a Rhodesian Ridgeback. He sheds like crazy!! I had a small vacuum cleaner before but figured we needed something designed for dogs who shed a lot. This vacuum cleaner is the real deal! I was so excited while I was vacuuming lol it was ridiculous. All the hair vanished. All the attachments that come with this vacuum cleaner are super helpful! I moved into a new place, thought the carpet looked pretty clean. Wanted to try the new vacuum so I used it in the living room. This was from just ONE room. It has 5 different power settings from low to high, this was on #2. The swivel feature is nice, not a crazy amount of buttons, super simple, no bags to buy, the bin is very easy to remove, dump, and click back on. I don’t have pets yet so I can’t vouch for that feature. Awesome vacuum awesome price 👍🏼

… and I mean that in the BEST way! Its suction is really great! Granted, it doesn’t have a lot of frills, like a light or a power drive to power the wheels, but honestly, that would just mean more things that would drive up the price and potentially break. I have mostly hard floors with large area rugs, and this little gem works equally well on both hard and carpeted surfaces! Honestly, I hardly ever even use my broom anymore! Pros: cost, suction, ease of emptying dust bin, attachment storage, weight (lightweight), gets debris right up against the walls Cons: it can be a little difficult to move if you vacuum against the grain of your carpet (workout) Summary: I’ve had this machine for 6 months and am very pleased. I figure at the price, even if it conks out in a year, I can afford to buy another!

Breaks after a month
Do not buy this. After using it for less than a month the roller stops working and smells like something is brining. Nothing is run over or clogged and it breaks. Worst purchase so disappointed

I LOVE this vacuum cleaner!! I have 3 cats and an English Bulldog. This vacuum cleaned my rug better than new. It also did a phenomenal job on my tile floors. I do not have stairs so I cannot comment on the ease of using on stairs. It was super easy to empty the tank as well. Highly recommend.

Pet Hair Sucked Up in Seconds
Our vacuum of 20 years kicked the bucket so we needed a new one that could handle the fur from our 2 dogs and this unit did not disappoint. It is very light and easy to maneuver. The suction power is outstanding and emptying the canister is super easy. I am very happy with the quality especially for the price point. We bought the extended warranty just to be on the safe side. We’ve only had it for a week, so I hope it lasts. I was really impressed at how much dirt and fur was in the canister. I would recommend especially if you have dogs that shed a lot.

Fantastic even if you don’t have pets

It Sucks…Come on, It’s a Vacuum!
The vacuum itself functions very well. The suction power is very noticeable regardless o what floor surface you use it on. I have 2 ‘complaints’: 1) When not using the ‘needle point’ attachment, there’s no place onboard to store it and 2) whoever thought the cord coming out near the bottom was a good idea was wrong. With its location, you need to pay attention not to step on it.

I didn’t expect this great high power unit. If you’re looking for a great new vacuum cleaner and can pay more, don’t let the price fool you. My brown carpet is cleaned daily. Pleasantly surprised!!
I am extremely happy with this sweeper! It is light weight and easy to handle! I was skeptical about the quality since the price seemed reasonable…but it is a pleasure to use and does a great job! The only downside is that when you empty the dirt container – you sometimes have to reach up inside to pull stuck “dirt” out.
