For years I have always purchased my vacuum’s based on “price”. For some reason I felt the more expensive vacuum was better quality I I WAS ABSOLUTELY WRONG !!!! – – It took this purchase of the Bissell® CleanView Swivel Vacuum to proved to me price means NOTHING. It is expertly designed – very easy to use – to empty – to clear the hose of blocks. All the parts click into place perfectly. The suction is unbelievably strong and the hose is nice and long so I can reach up to the ceiling with no problems. I THINK BISSELL DESERVES A THUMBS UP FOR THIS ONE !!!!!
I bought this in September 2024, and the drive belt broke in January 2025. Drive belts and filters are not covered under warranty. Given that these are prone to break, you would think the design would facilitate replacement – but no. Rather than a simple system without screws, you have to remove 7 screws to get to the brush area. In my case, dog hair had built up underneath the belt cover and eventually broke the drive belt. In the picture, the lime green plastic cover on the left is where the belt is. Note that you would have to remove the cover screws to clean the brush or even to simply check for dog hair build up. I bet the screws aren’t under warranty either, since stripping them is all too likely. Otherwise, I love how good a job this does pulling up Golden Retriever fur off the carpet. It is a shame none of the product designers considered whether it is simple to maintain.

We have all hardwood and tile floors, and this has done a great job so far on dirt and dog hair. I will say, the only thing I wish was different is that the hose that detaches was a little more flexible for using on stairs. Otherwise, for the price, I am very happy.

Are you kidding me?
I couldn’t believe my eyes when I had vacuumed literally only 5 square feet of carpet in our bedroom that LOOKED clean, but the canister filled up to a third full in a couple passes. Holy cow we have a lot of hidden dog hair in that carpet. This thing really sucks!! Just get it; fantastic value (and I normally never bother to write reviews!)

I had a Bissell vaccum, that was 8 yrs old and seemed to still work ..but wondered, if age was taking its toll. This is pretty much same vaccum. It is lighter. It moves about in small places very well. Old one had automatic cord I, .this does not. I miss that. Very pleased with vaccum.

Check height of sweeper
This picks up well, I had made the mistake on having it too low of a height setting, so it was over heating. I increased the height and that seemed to fix the issue.

Shedding Husky
This “Pet” vacuum is no good for a husky. Or any long haired shedding dog. We’ve owned our vacuum for 4 months and I’ve changed the belt twice. The hair is pulled directly into the belt. There is no protection. The belt is not on a pulley or wheel of any sort. Just a steel rod. The hair collects around this rod QUICKLY. I’m positive that one of two things occurred. Either they did not research farther than short-haired dogs and or didn’t care and continued with production knowing it wouldn’t do what they said.

Adjustable height and swivel
I gave this a 4 star rating because of the length of the hose. The cord is a nice length. You can push this vacuum around without killing yourself too much. I purchased a Hoover max. I like the extension wand on it but the swivel sucks, & it’s heavy.

I needed a new vacuum cleaner, and did my research. I loved that this one is light, versatile, and perfect for homes with pets. It has lived up to the advertisement, and still works as new after two years! Emptying the dirt canister is a breeze! SO much better than taking a bag out of a canister vacuum! Goes under furniture easily, and can be turned easily. LONG cord, and light, so it doesn’t wear your out!

Would not buy again
At first I really liked this vacuum. It has great suction even though it feels much flimsier than my Dyson. I’ve used it maybe 4 times and already the belt that turns the beater bar/brush thing is broken. Sure it was inexpensive but I cannot replace the belt every 5 vacuums!!

Great vacuum
I didn’t realize how awful my carpets were until I used this for the first time. I felt so gross after I used it because it picked up SO MUCH my other vacuum left behind! I love all the attachments that come with it. It’s easy to empty. The filter is easy to remove and clean. It pushes and maneuvers with ease. It’s quieter than my old vacuum, which my birds appreciate. Things that make me furrow my brows but don’t change my overall love for the vacuum… the flex hose sits where the cord needs to go – they push into each other and I’m afraid it will end up damaging the hose sooner rather than later. I don’t like how the brush still turns while I’ve got the hose and extension out. I couldn’t figure out why the vacuum wasn’t moving when I pulled it and it’s because the brush and suction had a death grip on my rug. If I put it on my wood floor instead, then it rolls and falls over easy because it’s lightweight.

WoW!! Could NOT Believe What It Found!!!
We have hardwood floors but many area rugs, we have a cat that sheds and the area rugs were always so difficult with our regular vacuum.. bought this, great price and after quick assembly, we had an entire tank full of stuff we did not even see lurking in our now beautiful/brand new looking area carpets!!! Missing a part!!
This is my 2nd Bissell Pet-I LOVED my first one so much, what a workhorse!!! That one finally conked out after years of use, so of course I wanted to get the same model. Ordered my new one, and it arrived with NO HOSE!!!! After an overly long time getting help I was told I’d get the hose in 3 to 5 business days. We’ll see if I even get it!!!!!

When our old vacuum bit the dust, we needed something that was powerful enough to keep my Chow mix’s fur at bay. She sheds A LOT and it can be quite overwhelming. This vacuum handles it all effortlessly! I like that all the pieces can be washed to keep it clean and all the attachments come in handy. I purchased this back in 2021 and it’s still kicking. Like others have mentioned, it’s a little heavy…. But the price, performance and durability, it’s great!

Decent for the price
This vacuum is excellent at picking up pet hair and very easy to maneuver with the swivel action, which is great. However, after using it for the second time, I had to replace the brush. I regularly clean out the brush and remove excess hair since we have three cats, but it somehow was unbalanced and was rubbing on the sides in the enclosure, wearing down the plastic, which made it even worse. Customer service was nice and sent me a new one for free, which I was grateful for. Now, though, I’ve had it for about six months, and I’m needing to replace the brush again. All in all, it’s decent for the price, but I’ll definitely be looking elsewhere in the future.

Great Suction & Lightweight
I purchased this vacuum four months ago to replace my old one. The suction power is great/ The swivel turning is good and it is light weight. These are the things I really love about it. What I don’t love but will adjust to is how light it is. Being a big guy, I’m use to heavier models, so it feels odd sometimes. What I didn’t think I’d miss was the auto cord rewind. This is where I wish I wouldn’t have been cheap and spent the extra, because every time I have to manually wind the cord to put the vac away, I’m frowning. Not a performance thing, just feels like a waste of time after always have that option. Also, it has no light which I never thought about until this one. Conclusion: Good buy for the $

I hardly ever write reviews but, I am amazed how well this works. I had my previous vacum for 20 years and did research to help me pick this one. I thought my rugs were pretty clean but ugh. I have a black lab so I couldn’t wait to try this and I was shocked how much fur and dog hair this picked up. I have vacuumed my whole house and love this vacuum.

I find this vacuum heavy and difficult to maneuver . Bought as a replacement for a smaller Dyson. which was replaced by battery powered style. Sucks up dog hair well and I have 2 BIG dogs. But it is bulky and the extra tools fall off when I do stairs. It’s ok but I would not buy again.

It wouldnt raise to sweep the carpet. I called Bissell trying to get it right and not have to return it! The gentleman I spoke to told me it was only for wood floors. That was not true it had adjustments for carpet. The book of instructions also told me it was a sweeper and to set it to the highest to take care of shag carpeting. I don’t even have that high or thick of carpet. Very disappointed in Bissell but Thankful to Amazon.

There is a serious design flaw with this Bissell vacuum
This vacuum has a design flaw. Its the 2nd one I’ve had and the same thing happens. It has very good suction power, So good that the debris and fur does not get all the way into the cannister. Part of the debris gets sucked up into the belt compartment and collects so heavily that it causes the belt to not be able to move smoothly and the belt burns up and breaks. Its smells the whole room up. I figured this out when every 3-4 uses ( I am emptying the cannister each time I use it) the machine starts to smell as if it is burning. I have to remove all 7 screws from the undercarriage covering the roller brush and belt and there I find debris matted up under the belt in the whole belt compartment. I clean it out and the put it all back together and the vacuum works fine for 2-3 more uses (my home is not big and my small pets are not big shedders) and then it happens all over again, I cannot keep having to disassemble this machine every few uses. The first vacuum I bought (exact same one) the belt burnt up 3 times before I sent it back thinking this was just a fluke with that machine. This replacement does the same thing only I started taking it apart to inspect before the belt could break. There is a serious flaw with this Bissell pet hair vacuum. I am sending back the 2nd one and will not buy this brand again. Sad because I am now finding reviews with this issue on other Bissell vacuums. Wish I had found those reviews before going through all this hassle.

Burning rubber and almost caught on fire
I’ve had this vacuum for less than a year, was vacuuming our couch when all a sudden the vacuum it’s self started getting this burning smell and huge black thick smoke started coming out of the vacuum. My husband took it apart and saw that this rubber piece snapped off and started melting the plastic around it. So scary I’ve never had this happen with a vacuum before !

Cleans Great
This Bissell 2252 sweeper does what it claims to do and does it very well. It is a wee bit heavy, but I can manage heavy since it cleans so well. The newer cool-looking cordless “wand” sweepers are nice and convenient and light weight and I have had four of them, and I like them just fine except for the fact that they simply do not clean very well, and they do not have the suction power like this sweeper does! This sweeper is large and not as cool- looking but it cleans! It was priced competitive to the others as well, so the Bissell 2252 was a much better choice, and I am delighted with my purchase.

Amazing for the price!
I was on the market for a new vacuum because our other was dying and did not suck as strong as we needed! I should have started looking sooner, but it’s been about 6 months since we’ve had a good vacuum across all the rooms in our house. I had a baby 6 months ago – and you know how it goes! 😆 We don’t have a pet, but we do host a lot and love to have friends over for dinner. That being said, there’s always someone coming and going so I wanted to have a pet grade vacuum. I swiffer our house every week, and we are a very clean family…So when I finally landed on this vacuum, I didn’t know what to expect but the reviews were good! And this vacuum is AMAZING. This picture shows how much I got up from our carpets and rugs in one go. It was easy to put together, the cord is long enough, it’s easy to empty the canister, and I like that you can use it on carpet and hardwood. It’s not hard to push, and doesn’t smell up the house like some vacuums tend to. Even if you don’t have a pet, this is a great choice!

This vacuum actually picked up cat hair off my carpet!! And with ease! I didn’t even have to use the attachments. It took like 5 minutes to vacuum the whole living room and it filled up the tank with cat fur. I can’t believe it. This is the vacuum I’ve needed for the last decade. I’d give this more than five stars if I could. I had a Kirby before this and this Bissell puts it to shame.

Strong vacuum
I’m so pleased that this vacuum sucks up my short haired dogs fur. My old one wouldn’t pick it up. This vacuum seems very powerful and the handheld pet hair accessory works wonderfully so far. The amount of dirt picked up from my rug was impressive esp considering my livingroom rug is a flat weave rug that looked perfectly clean there was a lot of dirt settled into it that my old one wasn’t picking up. Unlike some other reviews I absolutely love the swivel technology it makes such smooth corners and direction adjustments. Very reasonable price as well.

Hair and everything gets stuck and won’t come out of the tank
So the reviews on this are great but guess what? If you actually have animals and I have 3 cats that shed a ton plus two pugs that shed even more 365 days a year, dont buy it. You have to empty the tank like every 5 to 10 mins, no joke. If you don’t all the hair and everything gets stuck all the way up on the top of the tank and it’s IMPOSSIBLE TO GET OUT! This product is a liar saying its perfect for pet hair. DO NOT BUY IT IF YOU ACTUALLY HAVE A GOOD AMOUNT OF SHEDDING ANIMALS! I’ve never given a review before, this is my first and its only because I believe that other pet lovers should know how horrible this vacuum is because good lord has it made my life so much harder.

Thing is a beast
