When faced with a malfunctioning inverter, it’s essential to understand the possible error codes displayed on the LCD screen for effective troubleshooting. These codes include LO for low voltage protection, HI for over-voltage protection, OH for overheating protection, and OL for output overload or short-circuit protection. For instance, if a 1000W microwave causes the inverter to display an LO error, it indicates that the input voltage is insufficient, potentially due to an undercharged battery. Ensuring the battery is fully charged should resolve this issue, allowing the inverter to function correctly once more.
Connecting the wiring correctly to a 4000W inverter is a crucial step for safe and efficient use. The unit features three terminals: “L” refers to the positive terminal, “N” indicates the negative terminal, and “PE” is for the grounding cable. It’s imperative to connect these correctly to prevent electrical issues. Opinions about this product were divided in such a proportion among the buyers.
Purchased this inverter to use with my solar power setup to boondock with my camper occasionally. The price was right, and the quality seems to be very good. This is tied to a bank of lead acid and Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries, and 600w of solar panel. It works well for my uses. I really like remote status screen that comes included with the inverter. So far a great deal for the price!
I recently received this item and the first thing that caught my attention was the size I compared it to the description provided including the picture and unit specifications and it s completely inaccurate I expected the product to be a full inches at most but when you factor in the front terminals and back battery posts it s much longer I reached out to the seller they did reply in a fairly timely matter The Product it s a nice size even though it s a bit longer than what I expected It comes with number AWG wires Originally it said number AWG That s been corrected Personally I think this should be more like a number AWG due to the size of the unit in wattage To be fair this might still be a great product I can t say for sure because I haven t tested it I ended up keeping the product but I have not tested it This is more for back up or power loss situation like after a hurricane Yes hurricane’s big problem from time to time Yes I did edit this review after they corrected the wire size listed under there advertisement

Wanted to love it
Sadly this 2500 watt inverter completely failed to run a 1400 watt box heater. It repeatedly shutdown and restarted when it neared 1400 watts. As these inverters are not 100% efficient I was only able to deduce that each socket has a hard cutoff of 1500 watts instead of the standard home 15 amp 1800 watts. Therefore many typical home appliances may not run. I also noticed on low draw the inverter monitor reported much higher draw compared to a watt meter. I thought the monitor was just mis-reporting but later realized it’s an efficiency issue. Much wasted energy on bigger inverters with only ~100 watt draw. I didn’t keep the exact numbers but between 30-40% loss. The apparent hard cutoff of 1500 watts per socket — I tried 2 sockets in case 1 was bad (same result) – was a hard thumbs down for me. I don’t mind socket hard cutoffs for electrical safety reasons but they should be documented in description. Otherwise it’s a costly waste of time and energy for all. Of course they could just use heavier wiring and avoid the issue. This inverter looks great and loved the monitor, but unless you can find a sweet spot where you draw enough to be efficient but not so much from one socket as to cause it to fault, it probably will make your day or batteries unhappy.

Egscatee Inverter Issues!
First, the wire cable connector bolts are too small for a 2500 watt inverter, second, the power button can hardly be seen. Otherwise, this inverter is a great product. Except for the issues I noted, it’s really a good buy.

It’s putting out the advertised power
I replaced an older 3500 watt pure sine wave inverter at my off grid cabin that started causing lights to flicker so I went with this 4000 watt unit while on sale for Black Friday at $279. So far it has handled a 1000 watt microwave, 800watt fridge, a few household items and a 110v 1200 watt electric hot water heater at the same time pulling 3870 watts according to its display. Im not using the cheap cables that came with the unit which would never allow full power, so not sure why they bother including them. I used 2/0 cable connected to 800ah lithium batteries (8 12volt parallel). What I don’t like is the very weak 110/120 volt terminal that barely fits 10 gauge solid wire which is required to use with the rated 4000watts AC power at just under 30amps. I also don’t care for the little battery terminals either but during my test they did the job and didn’t get warm from being heavily loaded. The other thing is the inaccurate display info which shows my batteries at 13.2 volts but they’re actually at 13.8 volts according to my solar charger and other meters. Fans are quite compared to my older unit. For the price it’s worth it so far but just barely. I will report back if I have any issues in the future.

Okay so far
This will turn into a 5 star review if it holds up over time and the smell goes away. I’ve only ran it 25 minutes. Here are my likes and dislikes so far: Likes: very compact size, digital remote screen, 2500w version runs 1500w no problem. Dislikes: the positive and negative terminals are facing each other so it makes it a tight space to work in. The terminal wires provided weren’t even 20” long and it states they are 30” long. In addition to that they seem a bit under sized at 4 gauge. My last inverter required 0 gauge wire. It has a terrible smell after using it. Like paint or something is burning off inside it. I hope it goes away.

Bastante bueno
Bastante bueno.

Nice but loud.
I had a Renogy inverter that died after a couple years so I thought I’d try a different one. I like the digital display and small size but hate how loud this is.

Super efficient
Excellent inverter. Uses around .07A while sitting idle and without a load. This inverter made my LifePo4 batteries last around 7 hours longer compared to the inverter it replaced. My only problem with this inverter is there are no user adjustable parameters. The remote looks like it does more than it looks, but it does not. The remote has two buttons, one is and on/off button for the inverter and the other is only used for turning the backlight on and off on the remote. Either way, this inverter is worth every penny they want for it. Very pleased with my purchase.

rEMOTE PANEL
Remote panel doesn’t function, screen isn’t working. Otherwise ok. We will keep it because we don’t absolulely have to have the screen, but buyer alert just in case this isn’t an isolated incident.

Can go up to 2200W plus and not crash
I needed above a 2000W inverter for my garage workshop which runs off solar power and 5KW battery. I have a table saw that is 15 amps that I need to run. The startup would shut down my old inverter but this one has no trouble starting it up or when ripping a board. Remote is nice to see the draw in amps and battery bank status. If this can hold up for a few years that is what I am looking for. So far so good it looks like a good purchase. Note- do not use the cables provided go out and get 2/0 gauge and it will keep voltage drops with heavy loads under control.

Worked well for 1/2 HP Sump Pump
I bought this for the purpose of sump pump backup so I would not have to mess with my generator during a reasonably short term power outage, and also for minimal use in my home in the event. I deliberated between a 3000w and 4000w as some people would say you need megawatts to provide initial peak power. The price on the 3000w was discounted on Prime Day so I took a chance on the smaller one. Also it is a rule of thumb that the smaller the inverter the more efficient it will be. The 3000w runs my sump pump and I only see 600w being drawn, I never see any high peak above that, so I see no trouble handling the sump pump and also some other applications during a power outage. Egscatee does make an inverter specifically for sump pumps but that was not necessary for me as I will always be home to turn it on. Time will tell on the longevity but this item does have the highest reviews here among inexpensive inverters. I know some will say that you should buy a premium inverter but as I don’t see my need here as mission critical I passed on spending at least five or six times as much for one of those. I am not saying that there is not an instantaneous peak in wattage draw when the sump pump fires, there probably is. But I saw nothing on the monitor screen to indicate that so I assume any peak is of very short duration. These inverters are supposed to handle such peaks at twice their steady wattage capacity, or thereabouts.

Quality Equipment
I purchased this product as one of my backup solutions for when “SHTF” ( Stuff Hits The Fan) which WILL happen eventually whether by natural or man-made disasters. This product worked perfectly right out of the box and I particularly liked the included controller. I just have to decide what type batteries to purchase which I know will need to be deep cycle types. Very pleased with my first power inverter purchase.
